all right guys that time of the month your favorite time of the month on hours too no i don't know if it's your favorite but i like doing it we're gonna show you guys uh some really inspiring setups today we every time we do this i try and find a theme or something i didn't i didn't look for a theme this time i just wanted to see what i found to be inspiring because right now when a lot of people are having a hard time finishing up their towers and stuff i want to give them some inspiration on their setups so today i look for some of the most unique or interesting ideas that you could potentially incorporate into your you know complete space [Music] with its updated design offering support for large gpus the all-new h1 from nzxt brings big performance to small form factor gaming the new h1 features larger ventilation for improved cooling and a new exhaust fan to increase air exchange efficiency helping it to keep even the most demanding components cool taking the guesswork out of parts compatibility the new h1 features a pre-installed fan controller 750 watt power supply gen 4 pcie riser cable integrated aio cooler and pre-routed cables to see the full list of features of the all-new h1 from nzxt follow the link in the description below all right so this first one comes from michael an un unsend i said anyway it's an msi x570 gaming edge wi-fi 5900x power color 1600 xt okay i know i said it was gonna be like inspiration about builds you know or setups but this guy clearly was able to get latest hardware um yada yada other stuff water cooled um to be honest the specs of the pc weren't really all that important to me i just what i thought was really interesting here is the way that he's trying to remove the heat from his tower and his graphics card which as you can see here it's a liquid devil uh 1600 xt and it's uh he's got it going up some rigid pipes that are attached to his wall to a i can't tell that's a 360 or a 420 but regardless it's got some brackets on the wall and a radiator mounted up near the roof and then the fans are pushing air up so i think what he's trying to do is take the heat out of the system and put it up into the top of the room where all the heat's going to rise too anyway so i don't know if this was maybe inspired by linus's old whole room liquid cooling thing i feel like the only thing you could have possibly done that would have made this a little bit more um effective potentially would be to bring it into another room somewhere ultimately though i don't think this is going to help temps in his space at all because that heat is still going to rise to the top of the room whether it came out of the case through fans or a radiator that's already up there but one thing i want to keep in mind is that this is going to put a lot of head pressure um on the pump or the pump's gonna need a lot of head pressure to push that much vertical height so pumps are not only rated in flow rate they're also rated in inches or centimeters depending on the conversion of head pressure or height that it can push which means a vertical column of water can be pushed however many feet up against gravity so yes there is also if it's pushing up it's pushing liquid down which will help it but it looks like it has a single d5 in here in a reservoir combo that is also going through a water block a lot of fittings a lot of 90s and a cpu block so just a lot of things to keep in mind here with that but i just thought that this was interesting that i in all the setups that i've said hey send us your setup this is the first time i've seen anyone actually do an external routed radiator to go somewhere else to you know control the heat what i'm curious about here and i can see he has a little controller of some sort up there is how he's getting power to his fans uh or how he's controlling them or if they're just on or off based on the temp so it looks like we got a little wire right there white wire coming down to something obviously the fans are not running right there and then in this picture they are because the computer's on so he's clearly got it going to his computer somehow but no it's it's unique and i like it and i was looking to see if he posted any other pictures of some sort nope there was a lot of discussion taking place on this um what i'll also do because i have a copy of all these these tweets as i will put them down in the description so if you want to go directly to their post on twitter you can have a conversation about it as well instead of having to go and look you know simple things that i should have been doing all along okay so this next one comes from uh dead miri or kedmiri sorry he says uh i wanted to present my kind of a stealth setup for making music and it was pretty obvious this is a music setup once you see it but what really captured my attention with this one here is the absolute attention to detail with the wiring this is an absolute ocd level of wiring here so the system's pretty pretty standard 5900x an x570 plus gaming motherboard 32 gigs of ram an msi gt 1030 he said don't mind this one lol again this is a music setup this is not a gaming setup and two one terabyte m.2 gen4 nvmes so you can see he's got clouds sound clouds above him he's got quark board kind of a deal i don't so i know a lot about sound don't use my particular warehouse as an example of this this was a mistake um and because i owned the space i wasn't going to be putting sound clouds and stuff up in the ceiling and putting a lot of money in this so we just use a really good lavalier that rejects a lot of it anyway moving on i'm not sure what the difference is between these sound clouds on the right and left versus this one in the center which and the ones on the side of the directly on the right of him which have these these holes in there so i'm not sure what that's all about but you can see he's got bass traps in the corners he's got uh standard reverb panels right behind his setup but they're spaced away from the wall not only to probably trap some of the sound between them and the wall as well but they're also backlit so they look really really good he's using those panels those kind of a triangular shape panels which kind of bother me a little bit i personally don't like shapes like that but he's not using an abundance of it which is gonna which would be a problem but he's using that to hide the wires and stuff which is clearly coming off that wall panel i like how he has his desk pulled away from the wall a little bit it's not shoved up against the wall but the fact that the tower is behind okay i get it some people would probably be like why are you putting the tower back there etcetera etcetera etcetera but it's not a gaming rig it doesn't need to show or anything it's just a productivity rig it's behind the backboard on the desk so you can't see it all the wires are vertically staged to the point to where if he needed to change something out he could easily trace the wire and unhook it it's not like it's just take all the wires and and zip tie them all together which means if you have to undo anything you have to unclip it and it all falls apart so it's easily manageable all his power plugs are going to the same side he's got what appears to be his wireless back there with the antennas all arranged in a way that actually looks somewhat pleasing the entire desk setup the wall setup this would be like the ultimate live streaming setup honestly too just for the audio portions of it because if it's set up well enough for him to do he's got a keyboard here and he's got a pop filter and a very nice mic setup so i'm not sure if he does vocals as well as um you know anything on the keyboard maybe he does both but it's clear that he's using his voice in that microphone in this space so i'd love to hear a recording of what it actually sounds like in here because this is like in my opinion the ultimate setup when it comes to audio not only does it have the bass traps in front of him he has the bass traps behind him so reverb in this space is probably non-existent and i bet you what was challenging with this if you look at the roof this could potentially be in a third story slash attic so you've got the you know you've got the pitched roof and you can tell that the wall is pitched in front of him when you have a pitch wall in front of you that's the worst case scenario because of the fact that the sound is going to bounce right back at you so you can see he's got the sound clouds hanging down low enough so that if it bounces off there it's going to get trapped between the cloud and the roof above him so uh kedmiri this is a gorgeous setup and when i redo mine i'm probably going to use some of these ideas here okay moving on here we have okay blackfire and what i thought was interesting about this setup what he did is he took two ikea kind of like narrow bookshelves the real real narrow ones and he made himself kind of like a cubby out of it so he's got one vertical and one horizontal the l brackets are not exactly the cleanest looking brackets i've ever seen but they get the job done and he made himself this nice cubby so he's got a place now that he can put some of his knickknacks up here as you see the tower nothing super special write home about you can see here it's just a basic card it's got a wraith cooler on there it's obviously an amd setup he's even got a dvd drive in there and electrical tape around his ketchup and mustard cable so that he doesn't have to see the ketchup and mustard but this isn't about the pc itself this is absolutely about the little cubby space that he made he's got a lot of canada dry right there i guess he really likes canada dry isn't it funny how we've seen coca-cola idolized we've seen mountain dew idolized now we're seeing canada dry there's clearly a flavor for everybody isn't there okay moving on now all he needs to do is go and get himself some sort of rack or under the table mesh or something just to get these 65 wires hanging down underneath this system up and out of the way all right so this one comes from taco fist i really want to know how you got your name honestly this was a complete room renovation it's a lot and here's a video going over it all see this is why i want to show you guys the links to their their post because now you can go watch the video this is a full build 3d space obviously he's live streaming uh his vr gaming and by having this giant 3d uh green screen like this and i call it 3d a 3d screen is because he can move around in that space and as long as the cameras are all synced to the camera angle of the vr game he's streaming then it looks like he's moving around in that actual space as long as the scale and everything is appropriately set up these are not easy to set up the amount of work that he put into this not even just with the green matched sound clouds above even went as far as putting green on the opposite side of the room that way it doesn't look all awkward i don't think i personally would have put the green on the computer side i digress maybe he did that for balance maybe he didn't like the asymmetrical look i do like the the black fuzzy carpet soundcloud above his system though i don't want to know how much setup and effort this took i'm sure the video goes all for it or all over it i'm gonna i'm wondering what his cable setup is though he doesn't show where his cables plug in like i don't know if he has an overhead plug somewhere um there's clearly no plugs on the green screen itself anywhere and i believe this might even just be like heavy heavy paper yeah if you guys like watching vr gaming whether it be beat saber horror games or whatever seeing the player fairly fully immersed in there not having to go back and forth between seeing the webcam and him move around and then what he's seeing they take you in a third person view where you're watching him move around in that space on a third you know a third party camera which is really awesome so if you want to know more about this setup go and check out taco fist's video so this comes from zorag actually it's baseball zorag baseball because he has emojis in his name this is cool so this is his trs-80 or a tandy system with a ryzen 4350g uh side by side you can see he clearly took the tandy disassembled it essentially just put a basic itx rig in there with a really low profile noctua cooler and it's an apu and just screwed it down inside of a tandy chassis i have a couple questions here though one you see you see we have two of them left and right i'm wondering if both of them have this type of system in there or if one is a fully assembled tandy and one is not and what makes me ask that question and phil pointed this out it's the fact that all the keys on the one on the right are straight and aligned and the one on the left are like like one two three four five six seven eight nine zero and then you got t t-q-w-e-r-t-y-u-i-o-p left right all the keys are just like so i'm wondering if the left one here has the has the modded it which means he had to potentially because to do this as you can see by this other photo and i and one of these days i promise guys i'm going to do a retro build like this i just haven't had the time to really invest my thought into it i've got too many other builds that aren't completely like the star wars build i finally brought i have my air compressor and stuff here it's got to bring the paints and find the time to paint that one up and then i've also got my personal rig which i'm still waiting on cables from australia which should be here by the 15th i believe but uh as you can see right here if you look at the cooler the fan completely like it's very close to where the angle goes down for the keyboard because it's flat on top and then angles down for the keyboard i think if the keyboard guts were there then that's what is would make it interfere so i think what he probably had to do was he got like a piece of plastic or something and he individually mounted the keys down they're just not straight so that's why i'm really wondering if this tandy on the right is a fully assembled tent which i think it might be because the keyboard clearly still appears to be assembled um but it's i don't know why i think it's cool to take things from my childhood yeah i'm old and see them now like have modern guts in them but anyway zorag answer the question is the right one a real tandy and the left one is your mod or are they both modded if so why are the keyboards so vastly different all right so this next one comes from chlis cliff chris mclaughlin so this is another tandy it's another trs 80. so both of these are trs 80s it's just if you look at this one here this one also has um like the attached monitor to it so you had trs 80s which were just like a keyboard in the system right in in one unit and then you had a separate panel this one's the one that has an integrated panel which this is absolutely insane so it says case only no parts currently still have some wrestle work on the rough case uh it's test fitting parts we'll be 3d printing a keyboard plate and drive bays and the ryzen 50 it has a 5800 x 32 gigs of ram and a kikron k4 waiting for proper video card dude the panel that he fit in there looks so appropriate and it looks like it fits perfectly so what he's gonna be doing is like he said he's 3d printing the side pieces for that and he said he's 3d printing the drive bays right attachments to drive bays personally for me i would maybe 3d print grills and a fan mount so you actually have cold air being pushed into there that's the only thing i would change because i just think having static air in there being blown around through that noctua cooler is going to just eventually cause a heating issue so i do think you need some active ventilation in the system personally but i absolutely love the fact that he's got the power supply for the monitor and everything inside there so it just has the vent slits at the top and then some at the bottom i don't think that's enough personally so i'd like to see some active cooling in there some way even if you just if you're gonna leave the drive bays because you want them to look legit like that then maybe open up the bottom somehow because he looks like you have plenty of room right here under the motherboard to have an intake fan at the bottom pulling some air up something to force the air up higher into those vents that's that's the only thing i would suggest but in terms of retro builds this is one of my favorites so far that i've seen in a long long time all right so john outhouse alt house says this took me a year to build i recently upgraded it with that f048u monitor big mistake no way to turn off the asbl um an irt jacket i'm on i'm a track instructor for bmw cca cool so this this is a desk build now the desk builds and stuff um personally for me it's something i love the look of but i i don't use glass table tops because i am a i i passionately game with my hands pounding the table sometimes so it's not gonna work for me they look amazing he's even got a sensor panel down inside the glass which looks awesome personally though i just um i can't do it because of because of the fact that i i don't think i can stop myself from celebrating and or being mad at the tabletop because because i live stream horror games i do accidentally jump up and kick things often so yeah i kicked my stream off long as i kick the plug anyway um yeah that look it looks amazing though he's got a sideways mounted monitor there he's got the big o ek reservoir which kind of fills up the back the problem with desk builds sometimes is filling them out but he did a great job here where he's got his he's got crossover pipes he's got plenty of hard tubing in there to fill it out make it look complete he's got riser cable with the gpu all the way over on another side he put a sensor panel in the middle the big res a big rad motherboard is all the way off on the side it's got giant monoblock for the for the cpu um it looks really good and then it's got a very like cyberpunk feel about it and then of course he's got his um like he said he's got a 4848u monitor up on the wall which just makes it look like a nice compact setup because what the desk builds allow you to do is just have a very compact setup there's no tower to worry about anywhere as long as there's plenty of cooling there's a lot of desk setups out there you know desk builds that are manufactured by companies that don't allow for proper air flow remember it's its height is limited so it will heat up and reflect especially with the glass a lot of heat reflection will happen and having proper air flow is important for one keep your components cool and two making it a comfortable gaming surface it's like gaming on a laptop that's at full tilt it's hot and it's uncomfortable you just you're like i don't want to touch the keyboard the same thing could happen with your desk you've got your arms on it and it's too hot so plenty of fans and airflow is extremely important but you can see here he's got this entire setup with this ultra wide and everything not using any more space than like a standard desktop like desk platform surface would have so a little bit of inspiration there regarding those that are interested in doing a desk build this next one comes to us from ob2 time it's a streaming gaming office and lego building station so you can see right there already it's going to be bigger than the last one we looked at more additions being made pcs first ever build and first ever pc so what you're seeing here and it's a nothing super special 5800x 3080 you know not much but it's his look at the size of this thing imagine this being your very first setup it wasn't mine it's got a triple monitor set up dynamic oh 11 dynamic but i mean who can fault him it's a it's a good case all his figurines on full display hexagon uh sound dampening panels behind his monitor but i think for a first time setup it it definitely looks like a veteran build um and the fact that it's a hard line build and all the tubes appear to be appropriately bent proper 90s everything looks like it lines up it doesn't look like he settled for a bend that wasn't good he looks like he redid anything that was messed up yeah you see some they're like one slightly up and one slightly down and one's like twisted and then just kind of like oh i don't want to redo it it's obvious he took his time to do this build right my only question to him is what's what's what's your secret how'd you get that 3080. the world wants to know but yeah i love this setup here he didn't just focus on the desk he didn't just focus on the pc it's the entire room he painted the walls he put and these hexagon type shelves may not be you know a lot of people's cup of tea but he tied it all together he brought the lighting behind his glass shelves here which has all his star wars figurines and stuff sitting there looking he collects a lot of star wars funko pop type deals and some avengers stuff but the setup ties in the whole room not just one corner of it so something to keep in mind for those of you that uh are looking for ideas for your entire space um yeah think about what's blowing on behind you too especially if you're trying to live stream okay this next one here comes from tyler205617. he says he's got into computer building in 2018 um he's pre-built and started watching my videos and ended up returning it and building his first pc since then he has built over a dozen including some full custom loops in the past year now his setup yeah i mean it's a folding table it's not the setup itself is not good but i really am wanting to show this build specifically because of the amount of effort he then went into with the tower so this is the only system i'm showing you guys today that is specifically about the tower's quality and the photography the photography really caught my eye uh this is a 59 a 5800x with a 3090. full water cooled custom cables are these chrome tubes no these are clear they almost look like chrome because of the reflections but these are clear tubing with clear fluid he's got the rgb royal trident z royal ram which looks very crystal like which goes along a lot along with this theme it's got lean lee uni fans on here it's just a clean pretty build which makes me really feel like he should work on the setup he says excuse the mess i don't game anymore so this room isn't used much oh and here's some more photos of my recent build i've eagerly been waiting on to show off in a video i do honestly feel like this is one of those uh systems that just deserves a proper setup to really let it showcase but the tower build though i wanted people to be inspired by how well just theming together the colors which is obviously this is all like a like a violet purple color almost like a black light color the custom cables really tied together and the chrome the chrome fittings it's just it just all looks so good this looks better than something i've built in a long while so he's got pass-through fittings going through the bottom he's got his dual pumps so he's got a dual loop system here i just realized that one's clear one's violet so he's got one loop for the gpu and one loop for the cpu which is much cleaner than i i didn't even realize it was dual loops until i looked closer right now so more power to you this looks absolutely phenomenal just put it in a setup worthy of this system last but not least um this gentleman has been submitting his system for a long time and i decided to go ahead and feature it i'm talking about chris with coalition gaming so chris is a tech reviewer as well um and he provided a before photo which is very reminiscent of when i used to work out of a bedroom and having very limited space that quickly gets filled up with even just one project this is the before photo gives me anxiety looking at it just like so does this warehouse because it desperately needs an overhaul in terms of just organization and that's what chris did he now has his work slash recording space extremely clean and tidy and it works for him and it probably looks really good in the background of videos as well um it's it's it's hard when you have to work and create and store in the same space if your creative energy is negatively affected by the clutter and the mess sure you can have it and this is not this is this is functional set it looks like this because that's the way it turned out after we did something but anyway if it looks fine behind you for the camera that's cool for the audience but if you're facing this way and you're seeing an absolute titanic of a disaster on the other end that really makes it difficult to be in the right headspace to be creative all the greats in the world einstein uh i guess steve jobs bill gates all these guys if he saw photos of like when they were in their most busy time of their lives creating the stuff they were creating their places look like tornadoes and bombs went off in them but some people like myself can't function that way and so i i guess this is something similar that chris was going through because especially when you're when your bedroom space like this and this goes to whether you're a live streamer or a content creator of any sort whether it be on tick tock or youtube or whatever especially in the tech space your set is a representation of you look i'm a and so is the space that i work with in okay it works for me it does but it doesn't at the same time every time we clean it i wreck it but there becomes a point every time where i i'll walk in here i'm like we're not shooting today we're cleaning we got crap we gotta do guys by the way guys we're not shooting soon we're cleaning okay we gotta take care of this but anyway um you go through this kind of a restaging and a reset if you will and i just i like what he did here i like the wood tones i i like the monitor setup here he uses a ring light which i honestly think is odd but i think that's specifically for space you'll see he even has uh the lights wall mounted which is something i never did i always had floor stands and let's face it if you're in a eight foot by 12 foot bedroom with a u-shaped desk and stuff floor stands get in the way very quickly so him having the led panels mounted to the wall is awesome for giving him uh room on the floor the downside is you can't move around the lighting at that point your lighting's very stationary which means you can't get creative with lighting things in certain ways but it's a i think it's a it's a tech space slash nerd space that anyone would be proud to call theirs coalition gaming obviously has a youtube channel you guys can go check it out as well they were we met them years ago because they were the winner of the ebj build that we did back in like 2017 i think it was 2017 or 18. anyway a before and after speaks volumes which is why i myself am still trying to find the time to completely redo my my gaming space at home since i started live streaming i really want to change it up i'm not happy with layout and i think i'm going to be redoing stuff including potentially even um drywall repair because i might even move where the tvs so lots of stuff happening on my end don't look for that anytime soon it's a ways off before i could even start that project but there you go follow on twitter if you guys want to have a chance to be featured in one of these videos in the future um links to all these setups are down below so if you guys want to go and have conversations with them about their builds or ask somebody specific questions put it down there and like i said be following on twitter if you want a chance of being featured in one of our future jay what do you think series all right there you go guys thanks for watching we'll see you in the next one
