well guys it's that time again i basically said let's take a break from 30 series coverage and don't worry we got lots of stuff to talk about like overclocking and coolers and all that sort of stuff um but let's go ahead and just kind of change pace a little bit here and take a look at your guys's systems because let's face it that is really the subject of this channel it's not just the stuff we built but the stuff you guys built and you guys have been asking me every day when are we gonna do this again so on twitter which is where you should be following us if you want to be a part of this it's at js2cents pretty simple we added a hashtag this time it's j what do you think and i'm gonna basically number those every time there's a new addition we're gonna add a number jay what do you think too i was like show us your systems that you're either looking to upgrade to 30 series so we can kind of tell you if you're ready if you're like 30 series ready anything that's either cringe or just super cool or unique so let's go ahead and get right into it right after this message today's video is sponsored by micro center and the micro center community share and receive advice on your pc builds or discuss the latest in hardware with fellow enthusiasts in the micro center community or use the custom pc builder to plan out your next build get the best prices and part selection at any of my center's 25 locations across the united states and right now my viewers can get a free 32 gigabyte flash drive and a free 32 gigabyte micro sd card while supplies last in store only to see everything micro center has to offer and to learn more about this limited time incentive click the link in the description below so these are really in no particular order and it's important to use the hashtag because it's a lot easier for us to literally link all of these by photo full setups are always going to be loved on this channel because they give me a lot of ideas they obviously give you a lot of ideas and let's face it i think it's harder than a lot of people realize to tie in a whole room to a theme like a desk and a computer that's one thing but to do a whole room setup it's not easy and that's why this entire channel is dedicated to this to give you tips and tricks bentley here on twitter shows us his setup it's a three time samsung g7 34 inch monitor so it's a triple surround so or triple ultra wide surround setup rtx super that thing is probably begging for mercy pushing that many pixels hopefully you don't gaming surround hopefully game on one monitor but if you game on surround i'm sure it's begging for mercy 32 gigs of corsair vengeance ram and that's all he tells us so let's take a look at this the pictures here look at that so you know what's funny it's like the it's like the default lighting in my room as well is like violet and blue i think it's i feel like it's easiest on the eyes believe it or not when you're gaming and such because i think instead of just having this bright blue light in your face at least the whole room is kind of tied in with that color um i think i feel i find it relaxing and and alerting if you're alerty so blue light obviously keeps you awake it makes your brain like do stuff and so when you have blue light everywhere i feel like it helps keep you awake and alert when you're gaming when i want to relax actually i have a nice orange light this isn't about my setup this is about bentley's here um check this out so he's got a it looks like a corsair crystal case here he looks real good he's got the theme tied in across the room he's clearly got his nanoleaf setup right here is that a looks like that might be a lighthouse for so already here we go things that i'm really enjoying here he used a channel in the corner to hide the lighting for the nano leaf as well as his lighthouse if that is a lighthouse i think it is for like a headset yeah um so what other what other pictures we got here so here's the rest of the room you can see we've clearly got some ikea stuff going on here i like the step ceiling i don't this is clearly a house and not like a basement otherwise you wouldn't have a window right here white leather couch so it's not a casting couch if it's white although white would probably be a better color never mind so you can see right here he's got what appears to be some ikea modular shelving this looks like concrete wall the only reason we've been bringing that up is because it would have the only thing i could think of that would have made this a nicer setup is if you drilled a hole and then used fish tape passed it down through if there was no fire break there stopping you and then having it come out back here so it's completely behind the wall but this texture makes me wonder if this is some sort of a concrete this really does look like concrete or just i've never seen that texture on dry or sheet rock so yeah very nice theme on his uh crystal 570x crystal here which is what the case this is um just another angle of his blue yeti here with his shock mount and his what i call this is a tasty burger a little pop filter here because it looks like um very nice setup i can't see under his desk so i would have to assume with how clean the rest of the setup is everything else looks great so this is kevin here on twitter it's a 10700k maximus z490 hero 32 gigs of g skill two times evga 980 ti scs so a little dated on the graphics cards but running two of them what i love about this setup and although the the tubing is kind of like not perfect i mean this is this is leaning this way a little bit too much this is these are yeah anything with a double bend is hard and this is a one two three bender so that's even harder i do like his use of of uv light and the slime green fluid that's a throwback to me like early 2000s this was like the norm just alien goo was kind of like the theme and i kind of want to bring it back like skunk works was actually this uh before i tore it down and moved on to nebula it was a goo a gooey so all of his leds are obviously uh uv and then he made his ram match which is kind of nice kind of what she had sent us some more pictures probably time for a graphics card upgrade if you want to know the truth definitely time to clean these cables up though there's no reason why you couldn't just even with just a zip tie or something just kind of neaten these up it looks like you obviously don't have any cable combs but you did spend money on a custom cable set so at the very least it's time to zip tie these up and make them look pretty i think that's the only thing that my attention is drawn to when i look at the system same thing with these right here the 24 pin give yourself some slack individualize these cables and pull them out so they're all nice and straight and not crossing over each other or getting stuck behind and then this will look an awful lot nicer as well i feel like you went through a lot of effort to just kind of have your cables which should be a point of interest be kind of a point of contention on the design in my opinion here we go there's another complete room setup this is from robert gear man remember when the cases were just big cubes what is that what is this phil do you know what this is i haven't i think it's like one you know those like the ancient egyptians had those like hieroglyphs no this is that pop-out coffee mug holder i've seen this oh yeah yeah yeah yeah oh yes these are like these are like ancient tomes yeah wow this guy's a collector of rare and exotic okay so he's got a real brick fireplace here so he can't put the fire the cables behind the wall there's already so many like proper and and improper ways to mount a tv above a fireplace i'm not going to get into the discussion about whether or not this one is done properly but trust me drilling into a fireplace is a bad idea for many reasons but it's up to him to determine if he did it right but i can tell you right now with a real brick fireplace in the mantel like this he can't necessarily run the wires behind it because what's probably on the other side of that sheetrock is brick and if that's the case here you can can't run the cables but i like how there's a power strip up here it's just like woo i'm i just feel like with the pc being over here and the cables and stuff i feel like he sent me this just to trigger me um what we learned from robert here is that he is a collector of relics and that's not a that's not a a no that's not a roast whoa talk about relic okay so here's what it says it's 2700x radeon 7 uh core serve engine's ram i don't know what it is but something always feels off with my build well yeah what's that even die hard amd fans know the radeon 7 for gaming was a complete under disappointment i think what honestly just feels off is going to be the gpu because you've got red lights and a red light here i mean he's using thermaltake stuff which is already questionable but that's besides the point i think the vertical bracket really kind of i don't know i think the vertical bracket also being black in this white case is probably throwing it off this this is the point where i say i'm really good at like getting 90 percent of a design and then it's like the last 10 percent that makes up 100 of its like feeling if that makes sense like my room i've said this a million times when it comes to my game room i was like i got the layout down but the little things the little decorations and the little nuances here and there i'm not good at and that's kind of where you are right there let's cross this one off your list how about no jfg says i think i have enough room to change that radeon 7 without moving the side rad or my pump res pump i'll probably have to redo the tubing cpu gpu and gpu res pump 2 i'm afraid well okay so he's asking me if so that's a water cold radeon 7. the thing about this radeon 7 is it's roughly the same size of any like founder's edition nvidia card it's pretty standard about 11.5 inches long the standard bracket height um the thing is between these cards they're they never i shouldn't say never they almost never line up in the same spot so you're right in that when you change out the graphics card with a new block this terminal could be over slightly or to the right or a few millimeters to the left and the likelihood of putting a new graphics card in here and having these lined up exactly is slim but this gives you a perfect opportunity to redo these tubes and make them look right you got a kink in this tube right here because it's obvious that you came straight and then you did a sharp bend to here and you can just see how it's not smooth and when i say kink i don't mean like it's pinching off flow or anything like that but it's it's definitely just not pretty you've got this guy right here which is clearly bent too soon too soon junior and then i can't tell it's just the way the lighting is kind of wrapping around the tube or if this is like kind of squished as well and then you came down to here and then you made another bend and then it looks like this is like a double turn and this like it's not smooth it's like a turn a straight and a turn because you're trying to get it all to line up what this feels like is this is a tube that you it didn't fit and then you just kept heating it and made it fit and so it doesn't look good same thing with this one right here you've got this 90 into a 90 into a 90. like 290 fittings into that well there's no reason why you couldn't have just if it's all going to be crooked like that why not just bring it up and make a single 90 and do it till it fits so i feel like changing out this graphics card gives you an opportunity to make the rest of the system just look proper flow meters like this they're not necessary they're really not necessary if you want if you're worried about flow you take your pump because this pump also has an rpm wire it should have a rpm wire it's a corsair one i'm fairly certain it does you plug that into your cpu fan header that way it knows that the pump is running and if there's ever an issue with your pump not turning on or the flow gets too low then you can set up an alarm on your motherboard to tell you the rest of the aesthetics i mean you you don't really have much going on here it looks like you've got rgb on the block you've got purple everywhere else you got green fluid purple and green is hard to pull off [Laughter] he already knows there's nothing i can say okay so coder 76 is currently rocking at 2070 with a 2700 x planning on either planning either a 30 70 or a 3080 i mainly program and some occasional gaming well first things first whether or not you're gonna be 30 series ready is going to depend also entirely on what your power supply size is so in some of our testing i can tell you right now with my threadripper system in the in the studio in here i put a i had a 2080 ti strix overclocked the entire time no problems whatsoever 1200 watt thor psu from asus which is not a cheap psu but i can tell you since putting a 2080 in there and two different 2080s to verify or 3080 by putting two 30 80s in there verifying that it wasn't a single card causing the problem i'm getting random shutdowns now 1200 watts is more than enough so clearly there's something weird happening there with that setup and we have to troubleshoot that you want to make sure you're not going to be giving yourself that problem as well before i come back to this question about the post let's take a look at your setup so this is cool you've got a four panel setup going on you got your um your mount your arm mount right here which probably has an arm that comes out they're mounted to that and it goes up here i do like that you don't have matching monitors so at least this this doesn't give me like anxiety looking at this what i also really like is i can't see from this angle any wires hanging down under the desk it's clearly a sit stance that means you want everything nice and tidy and bundled you can see he's used those those wraps that like a spring wrap that go around the cables and i'm sure that that's probably your power cable and stuff and you have a power strip up in there and that goes up and down which means you only have the one cable hanging down which would be for your tower i'm sorry for your your power strip this is a very clean setup i like it but there's something wrong with his setup here though and i'm wondering if you can spot it do you find it ram channels ram channels he is running this in single channel you need to make sure you look at your manual so that you set up your ram properly you are only using channel a like this and what this is doing is it's making your cpu actually slower because the ram is slower by not having dual communication lanes to the cpu so you need to take this stick on the inside right here and move it over one slot almost always it's the very outer slot skip one and then the next one so i'm glad you submitted because now you just found a little bit of extra performance you didn't realize you were missing out on oh here we go what i like about this is one it looks like a pretty clean setup right he made the cables like 90. so real tight to the baseboard and then straight up straight lines matter if you can't have them all hidden so having one like drape this way and drape that way no if you can at least make them like tied together and vertical and make these nice crisp bends and stuff then it's going to look way way better what i also like what caught my attention here is he gave us this under desk perspective yeah he's actually showing like look he took time to make sure this was cable managed he says he wants to do a 3080. again same thing i think the only thing we're going to find people underestimating is the amount of power that they are going to need with just a good quality power supply okay i don't normally like the helix reservoir but i'll entertain this jay what do you think on my first attempt at building his first attempt at building a hardline loop serving me well since 1.5 years wouldn't have been possible without your vids oh this is really that is his first attempt dude even i now still won't attempt temp these long runs with these backs to loop back to a loop back to one two three four five bends i gotta know response of this tweet how many attempts it took for you to get that bend from your pump to the block i have to know because that's that's the pump out right there right so i have to know how many attempts it took to get this one two three four five bends to line up the longer the run the harder it is to get to line up and look straight it's not perfect i'm sure right here you can see it goes up slightly but this is good enough there becomes a point where you're like okay it's good enough and here's what i really like about this it's a dynamic 011 that he didn't do the typical distro plate even i went that route because it it takes so much work out of it yeah see when you look at it head on it's a little less noticeable that it's at an angle but i'll tell you right now i can totally live with that not being perfectly straight i also like the way he did the led strips along it right here it looks like led strips that he put diffusers over and so that already makes it look so much nicer it's how we do our set lighting you want diffused lighting like harsh lighting when you have it directly pointed at you doesn't look good yeah see they're straight on it that looks that looks great it really does look great i like it i like it at all um that's just a nice clean white set up right there from alex oh he's already got a 30 80 x wait wait wait wait does he picks or it didn't happen there's no way you got a 3080 because everyone's convinced this was a paper launch and all of us youtubers were in on it and we were all lying and we were all paid to talk about a card that doesn't exist there's no way you got a 30 80. oh okay there is so much wrong with that one image right there xbox controller on top on top of a pc with an apple sticker well okay you're never gonna make a setup look clean anyway with a glass table because you can see through it so unless you made it like all perfectly zip tied together and stuff and made your own little like channels for it to kind of like run along it's never going to look good but he's constantly moving it so that's why it's always a mess oh here we go sleeper build flimser says here's my sleeper builds 2700x 2060 mini 32 gigs of ram one terabyte ssd all right so he also says he has custom rigid tube water cooling in there so here's the tower right there um wow well would you just look at it that's awesome guys showing up to the lan party with that oh yeah see the back he made a custom so it is plexi he used like a maybe he has a cnc machine or some sort of a cnc cutter see i've i want to do something like this eventually i had a lot of people reach out with their um what their retro cases and stuff that they're willing to give me or sell me i'm just not ready to do it yet so i don't want to you know build my first own water cooled pc a few months ago and i'm happy with how it turned out see the past dues again we're we're with that real traditional uh violet and blue color i i just i this color is like the new the new neon green you know what i mean like neon green back in the day was like oh you're a super gamer you got neon green now it's it's the violet and blue that's a really clean setup this looks like an ad photo oh he did a video oh bitrate though okay that's brave to show the back of your computer if you're willing to show the back of your setup then you're it's obvious that you that you care yeah hey now are we just going to ignore the gameboy color anyway it just goes to show you don't have to have the highest end hardware or the latest and greatest to have pride in your setup there's a lot of people i've seen they're like it's not even news why should i care it's like dude it's still yours you should always care oh that's do when the set when the support bracket is sagging sir james says first bill show me my mistakes please what i love is the card doesn't look like it's sagging but the support bracket does um there's there's something interesting about this bracket though and ours didn't come with one but i i had i had another msi card that came with a bracket and i found that the bracket actually interfered with the fan and kept some of the fans from turning because it would hit it so obviously make sure that's not happening here first build what would i suggest i would have probably moved these fans to the inside of this bracket instead of being right there only because then it gives a bigger volume of air in front of the fans oh it says mesh okay i would still move it to the inside only because it looks cleaner that way it might be worth just ditching that support bracket it's not even touching right here in the back so that would make your system look cleaner i think right there too your ram sockets are in the right spot so that's good wow the bracket police are coming but yeah i mean for the most part i i give this a very good uh first build i mean there's not a whole lot you can do and change with the setup it's very basic and i think it works so yeah ooh is this another dynamic though yes all right but it's not one using a distro plate so it's isaac matthews it's not a dynamic it's been particle for four years oh it's not a dynamic i'm starting to really like black and blue it used to be something we saw a long time ago and then everyone kind of went red and then i was sort of going green i like the way black and blue looks especially when it's a clear blue like this let's see what the other pictures are all of his parallel runs are so powerful is this a dynamic it kind of looks like it huh it looks like a dynamic it wouldn't have the solid front if it was the glass front it looks like a dynamic but i have to assume did he make covers for it because the dynamic has openings right here if he made a cover for here this looks like something i did right there um if you made it if you made a solid cover for that interesting though that he only has a 240 rad in here if that's the case is there a right on the bottom okay there's a 360 right in the bottom yeah i think this is the dynamic because it's got that same cutout right here i they make black brackets which i think would have been better they make the black bracket uh and the clamp for it which i think would have matched your system better i think there's enough silver going on over here with the motherboard to use silver brackets my eyes go to it and then it really kind of to me it really just sort of takes away from it this is clearly a a shroud he made himself because you can see how it's like denting in because it's too tight and he's using the fan holes to mount it i'm curious as to what this is is this is is this a bracket to help support the gpu that uses the actual motherboard mounting that's what it looks like huh looks adjustable maybe it's got like a little shelf that comes out to help support the gpu that's smart and it the thing is i looked at this build now for as long as we've been talking about it and i just noticed it so it blends in pretty well and the only thing i noticed is the fact that it it was over top of the silver right here that was only because i was like what else is silver so that works yeah i would have liked to have seen what it looks like with the side panel on and and powered up what ad did you steal these photos from david santos if that is even your real name hey jay this is my first custom loop what i am creating an army of people better than me this was the most frustrating but fun thing okay h210i so already doing rigid tubing in h210 it was just not the smallest itx case but small enough uh rog 570 x70 32 gigs of friends you assuming people running 32 gigs of ram now because ram is cheap getting cheap now clearly this guy has photography on the brain because this is really nice gradient lighting back there it's clearly go away windows i don't care i like the way that this like fairly opaque but not as thick as like a lot of the opaque fluids look with the white please give us a nice open air we was bright um yeah he's got his custom cables here white sleeves he's got a nice radius right there but you can see right here just how clean this is so he's got a 120 rad in the back right here coming from the cpu and the gpu and then he's got a 240 rad in the front he's got a tube coming down into the basement not sure how it gets back up the only thing that kind of sucks is as you can see he had to go pci right there to then his custom cable extensions so these are cable extensions and probably not full full-on custom cable replacement which is fine that just means you have a lot of cable length to try and hide in the back of a 210 or in the bottom so it's visible right there which kind of stinks i'm i'm wondering if if there's any reason why he wasn't able to fit it behind or underneath the shroud i know the power supplies right here but everything else fits so i'm kind of curious about that but this is his first time wow okay um when you go right to the big leagues and this photography too obviously is on point you know you know it's funny how much photography can make something look better or worse that's a very good use of a small space so it's a dynamic again but that's fine look at this is it like he's got like a corner for his entire setup oh i like the uh the super position like type numbers there oh yeah little vacuum tubes yeah nixie clock right i think it's called yeah you'll definitely be able to fit a 30 90 in here i don't you didn't mention if you're going founders or not but i can tell you right now every single 3090 card is as big as like the smallest ones are as big as the biggest 3080 2080 ti coolers that you can find um in fact that the gaming x trio from msi is actually smaller than a founder's edition card so if you're considering a founder's edition card they are absolutely gargantuan this might be the first time people are considering going with like a 3090 are gonna have to severely consider their power supply as well as their case size because it's not going to fit and i've seen a lot of people go well i'm just going to vertical mount it dude they're triple slot and i don't know of very many cases that will allow you to vertically mount a triple slot card that isn't going to be choked off by the side panel i'm going to be in the same boat so we'll have to figure that one out together i guess let's go and find one more that okay we'll do this one here's my rick and morty invade lego land so here's the full setup pick it's i just think it's funny the way he built like a whole a whole scene of legos going on right here yeah and they're like this guy's clearly just having fun i like how there's a big fan blowing right in morty's face i just threw up a little in my mouth but that's okay morty oh yeah that's fine what's with the dog this guy was just having too much fun all right so that's where we're going so that's where we're gonna go ahead and end uh this edition of show us your pc yeah you guys have got some really nice setups going on here good night good night i was gonna say good and nice and it came out nice so anyway if you guys want to get in on the next one make sure you're following on twitter we always put out kind of advanced notice that we're getting ready to do these videos gives you time to clean up your setups and i think people listen this time because i did this like over the weekend i was like get your setups cleaned and ready to go don't show us pictures of your nasty cups and your half-eaten pizza and your moldy cheese on your table and then maybe you'll get featured so anyway i was like show us your setups that you were thinking about upgrading we talked about some of that some clean setups some ones that make you want to vomit and i think we got a pretty good round number going here in terms of how things went so if you want to get in on the next one like i said make sure you're following us on twitter we'll do a new hashtag so we can find the new submissions and uh hopefully you guys learned something today and we're entertained and stuff like that we got loud trucks out in the alley now so it's time to end anyway thanks for watching guys and of course we'll see you in the next one oh and if you haven't watched our last video where we show you how to buy used parts without getting ripped off make sure you go and check that video out i think it's more relevant today than ever i'm glad i waited and procrastination actually made me the hero on that one cut
