warlocks have always been one of the best levelers in classic whether you play solo duo or in a group you should have a pretty smooth and comfortable time leveling the level cap for this phase is level 25 which doesn't take too long so I'll make a similar in-depth leveling guide for each phase when the level cap gets raised but for this video we will focus solely on your journey to level 25 if you're watching this after level 25 app then a link to the next phases will be in the pin comment and the description click them to go to the next phase to be fair the leveling process doesn't change much from the normal leveling from classic outside of the Rune system and whatever blizzard changes in terms of difficulty in the outside world but here we are anyway now this will be a longer video however please use the time stamps to jump to wherever you want to go in the video I'll also make a much shorter leveling guide once the game launches to correct any changes and for when we find out more about how the runes will be found warlocks are crazy leveler with extraordinary survivability insane self-healing and have multiple choices for demons each with their own toolkit to help you while you level some downsides to warlocks are that you literally have no Mobility no escape tools and down the road you're pretty Soul Shard reliant with some of your powerful spells and demons requiring a soul Shard as for your race choice I won't go into detail at all because I already made a video going into the detail on the best races for warlocks in season of discovery which I'll link in the description and it'll pop up on the screen somewhere but to save you some time gnome is by far the best for Alliance due to the engineering bonus the intellect racial and escape artist while horde is more of your choice between orc and Undead with orc squeezing ahead due to giving your demon 5% extra damage check out the race video for more in-depth information about races next I wanted to talk about talents cuz this is a big deal once you hit Level 10 you'll unlock Talent points and be able to get some talents to help you on your leveling Journey the level cap like I said is level 25 meaning you will only have 16 Talent points to play with and while you can put these points anywhere and you'd be fine there are pros and cons to each spec starting with the best and fastest spec to level in Affliction Affliction excels in damage over time abilities called dots and tons of self-healing in a popular play style called drain tanking thanks to the legendary warlock himself dive this has been around for years now and is by far the fastest way to level as a warlock this play style is very simple send your demon in put your dots up and either shoot your wand or spam drain life if you need health this is not only the highest damage spec but as mentioned has great self-healing from talents that improve drain life and later when the phase is open siphon life as for your talent choice this part is up to you to be honest there is no cookie cutter build for this and everyone has their own preferences some people like to take demonic Embrace suppression and some spell hit or improved life tap for more Mana when they life tap While others like to forego those talents and just go straight for the improved drain life for more healing and fail concentration to avoid some push back to be honest you can't go wrong with these choices however this is what I personally plan on doing though my first five points will go into the only talent that I would say is absolutely mandatory for all warlocks while leveling and I think most would agree with me proove corruption this simply makes your corruption an instant cast rather than a long ass 2C cast which by the way I don't know why blizzard hasn't changed his talent this should already be instant cast and you should make it like the L King Talent where it Buffs our corruption by 10% anyway first five points in improve corruption like I said after this it's up to you I personally like to put some points into suppression as it's annoying to miss my spells since Mana is ass at these lower levels I know this Talent looks lackluster and boring but each point will give you a whopping 2% hit this is a huge deal I put three points into this says this will give you 6% spell hit which makes you hit capped against all enemies within two levels higher than you meaning you will rarely miss a spell the less you miss the more man you have the less drinking you'll need to do which means you level faster my next two points goes into improv life tap another rather lackluster looking talent but really important in my opinion to the build as this gives you 20% more Mana when you LIF tap and you'll be LIF tapping a lot like a lot a lot so just trust me and get this Talent well now we're left with six points and you have many options you can finally start getting two major talents and the drain tanking place style improve drain life or fail concentration and I personally will go five into Fel conon this gives you a 70% chance to avoid Interruption while tring your drain life which as you know you'll be doing a ton in the future and right now you're probably thinking well why wouldn't he take improved drain life well because it's ass at low levels literally cheeks drain life doesn't really get good until rank three or four and not only that but wands do Insane amounts of damage at this lower levels and it vastly outscales drain life right now the drain tanking meta won't really start until mid game and will carry you into late game after that oh and for your last point it won't matter since it's level 25 which is the level cap but since you'll be farming runes and whatever else in the open world and this spec is amazing for the open world still just toss that last point in the Nightfall and call today Nightfall procs off corruption and drain life and we'll give you an instant cash Shadow Bol for this rotation simply send your demon in put up imilate corruption curse of Agony and wand away if you do not have a wand yet then you can use Shadow Bol or just melee at the super super low levels as for curs Agony this is a long 24 second dot that ramps up meaning it does more damage the longer it's on the Target and and it does virtually no damage to start do not put this on the mobs unless you're going to get full value out of it you're better off just wanding and saving your Mana as for your demon you have options and I will go into more detail later in the video on each of its pets abilities but for now you can use your imp the entire time as he does great damage and gives you a nice stamina buff from blood pack or at level 10 you can start using your Void Walker it does rather damage but will act as a mini tank for you and will also sacrifice his own life to give you a rather large absorb Shield the last option is level 20 and you can go get the favorite succubus or Incubus whatever you prefer they do the exact same thing they just have different models this pet does the most damage out of the three specs and also has a seduction which you don't get until level 26 but it will come in handy the next phase I personally plan to probably use the Imp the entire time because he does do really good damage early on and maybe swap the sucker Abus at level 20 with a small chance I'll swap the void Walker at level 16 once I unlock sacrifice depending on how hectic my PVP server is going to be now another build is a demonology build this is arguably one of the safest builds in the entire game with with pretty much the same play style as a fliction build but you just have a tankier pet and you're much tankier and you also use your Void Walker granted at the low levels of 25 just like the Affliction tree you really won't have much of your toolkit but you do get some pretty crazy defensive stuff this early on which can help you last longer while questing and also make you safer if you're on a PVP server first five points I would put into demonic Embrace is this gives you 15% stamina which is nutty at this level disregard the loss of spirit from the talent spirit is just Health in Mana region which doesn't really matter too much to warlock since we can life tap next three points put it into improved void Walker this will make your Void Walker actually be able to hold threat for a little while don't get used to it though it's only good at holding threat at the low levels or when you get a new rink of taunt but more importantly his shield will be 30% stronger toss two points into improved healthstone after that as this will simply give you bigger healthstones which act as health potions don't be afraid to use these and always make sure you have a soul Shard or two on you to make another one next is spell domination this reduces the cast time of your next pet summon by 5.5 seconds while also reducing the Mana cost by 50% it's really nice because in an emergency situation you can sacrifice your Void Walker for the huge absorb shield and then fellom another void Walker out at half the time of the cast and half the Mana then sacrifice him again this Talent pairs extraordinarily well with the future Talent you'll get called Master Summoner which when combined you put two points in a master Summoner and it makes your next summon pretty much instant but to unlock that we need four points elsewhere where you put them is completely up to you you can put four points in the fell intellect or fell stamina which gives your demons more Mana or stamina depending on your pick or even improved Health funnel but that's up to you as well I'll just slap four into fell stamina to make my void Walker tankier as I let him tank his own mobs on his own frequently after that toss the last point in the master Summoner and you'll be done with the level cap until the next phase another popular option that I usually do is I would not put it into Master Summoner or fell stamina instead my first five points would go into improve corruption giving you that instant corruption we talked about earlier and then once I put five in here I would then slowly move into the demonology tree but once again that's completely up to you like I said earlier this rotation is pretty much the same is Affliction for now besides your Void Walker is much tankier and it can hold threat better put emulate corruption and Agony if the mob will lasts long enough for the dot and wand away here's some bonus tips for your Void Walker if you send him in and let him attack and get his taunt off before you dot the mob he will hold threat much better than if you initiate combat with an emulator or whatever I prefer to let him tank a mob or two while I just keep a corruption and Agony On the mobs and I handle another mob take his taunt off automatic cast and set it to a keybind to press manually this will help you in the long run with his Mana cuz he does run out of Mana if he just taunts all the time if he casts it automatically on his own he will taunt when it's not needed and go o very fast you don't always need him to taunt example is when your mob is on you and he's going to die and your voidwalker have autot taunt on and it does nothing because you already have too much Strat on yourself or the mob's just going to die so you don't need him to taunt plus you should really get used to manually taunting so you just know when it's available and you have it under control if you pull more than one enemy as long as you do not attack them at all you can send your Void Walker in and just let him melee at once and he'll have the Agro this works forever as long as he's alive and you don't touch the mob if respawns happen and you get jumped Don't Panic just let your Void Walker attack each one once and the mobs will then ignore you and they go to him and you can run away and reset or just pull one off of him one at a time to yourself and kill them the next and last talent build is pretty Niche but I wanted to mention it because there are people who are going to run this spec and it's really not that bad it's just big on Mana consumption and you have to sit and drink much more often but if you don't mind that it can actually be pretty fun Destro is straight to the point you spam Shadow bolts on your enemies and let your imp pump once you hit Level 20 you will unlock Shadow burn which can make things much more interesting as this is a great finisher that costs a soul Shard but you end up getting that Soul Shard back if your Shadow bur kills the target with this build you will also put points into your imp to make him hit harder and faster so the first five points go into cataclysm an otherwise garbage Talent with very little Mana return at all especially while leveling but some Mana return is better than none and this is better than improv shadowbolt for leveling next five put into Bane to make your emulate and your shadowbolt cast faster then finally you get Shadow burn after that you can get your imp talents improved imp and improved Firebolt some people choose to get improved imp as their first three Talent points but that's completely up to you like I said this is a pretty simple rotation spam Shadow bolts you can also opt to put up an emulate on the target so you can Shadow bolt then emulate and let your imp finish the mob off and then you can start on another one make sure to bring lots of water and always keep a few Soul shards on you for shadow burn once you unlock it now that the talent builds are out of the way let's briefly touch on runes it's really hard to talk about run because we don't know what or how many will be available at launch or what level you can even get any of them we can find all of them right away before level 25 or maybe we don't find much until 25 who knows I'll post another video about runes when we learn more but while leveling if you're lucky enough to get runes at all while leveling just engrave whichever you get I'll go over them now though quickly so blister has mentioned that we will be getting a glove Rune at level two for like a tutorial Rune or something like that out of the glove runes I'm willing to bet that it's hot which would be pretty nice for leveling since it's instant cast Buffs Your Shadow dots and heals you we definitely won't be getting meta early although I wish we could that would make leveling a literal joke Shadow Bol volley if you get it won't help much while leveling since you won't be fighting five mobs at a time and Chaos bolt would be nice for Destro leveling but really doubtful you get something that good that soon for leg runes these all seem rather lackluster for leveling in so would be pretty good for desro though Everlasting Affliction won't help much because your target will more than likely be dead before you need to refresh corruption as this will increase your spell damage by 13 which is pretty nice for the low levels and lastly the chest runes Master Channeler would be amazing just being able to use drain Life as a DOT and then wanding while everything is up would be overpowered and I can't wait for it however like I said use whichever one you find while you're leveling as for stats when it comes to leveling the best stat is Shadow damage and spell hit Shadow damage will makes you do more damage and spell hit simply makes you hit the target more unfortunately both of these stats will be hard to obtain while leveling at these lower levels if you're Affliction you get suppression which as we talked about earlier is important to toss a few points in there spell damage will come more in the 30s and 40s and onward but but for now just look for pieces of gear with stamina and intellect on them stamina gives you more Health making you tankier and intellect gives you more mana and crit while both mana and crit aren't super important since we have life tap and our dots don't crit it's still better than nothing and to be honest most gear will have two stats on it so just look for the stamina in pieces spirit is whatever it increases your health in Mana region but since we use LIF tap and cell fuels it loses a ton of Value Plus if you take demonic embrace it loses even more since that Talent reduces your spirit by 5% professions are much more of a subjective option while engineering and tailoring are what you want for rating you can do whatever you want while leveling a lot of people choose to go enchanting and tailoring in order to make their first couple wands then after they craft them they swap and then go mining and Engineering to get their engineering leveled up before they hit ingame some choose to go double Gathering like mining herbalism or herbalism skinning and just sell everything to a vendor or put it on the auction house for gold Orly game since gold will be hard to find on a fresh this choice is solely up to you engineering is not only the safest due to Target dummies but also comes with grenades to help you stun and do more damage as well as some cable gear like this helmet that only Engineers can make you have four choices for demons in classic with one of them not being available until Level 30 so you won't be able to use the fil Hunter but your other three options are imp void Walker and succubus we touched lightly on them earlier per spec but I wanted to put a little section here because we have these cool little slides the first one is your imp this is your very first warlock demon and pretty much every race can get this at level one or two this is a very powerful but fragile range support and damage he's got a Firebolt which is a cast he's got blood pack which increases your stamina by three he has phase shift which ships the Imp out of phase with the world and making it unattackable but you won't really use this while leveling because you want him attacking right it pops him out when he attacks and he has fire Shield which surrounds you with a shield of fire that does damage to enemies when they hit you next is your Void Walker which you can start getting at level 10 like I said and he's like your personal bodyguard he's one of the most popular demons while leveling bringing the utility of a tank to every one of your fights he has torment which is a taunt and then he also has an AOE taunt called suffering that you unlock at level 24 which taunts all enemies around him on a two-minute cool down he also has sacrifice like I mentioned earlier which he kills himself and gives you a big absorb Shield which further gets bigger with the improved void Walker talent and lastly is consumed Shadows which just makes him heal himself and the last of the three that you can get is the succubus the succubus and the incubus the same thing like I said they deal the most damage out of all the pets and this is the most popular pet when it comes to drain tanking she's got lash of pain which is an instant attack that deals damage she's got soothing kiss which increases the chance that it'll attack something else she's got a seduction which is a charm which is a cc but you won't get that to level 20 5 and elas is lesser invisibility which you also won't get to level 32 the trick with her is you just don't let her do anything but melee you turn off all her abilities and or besides invisibility and you just let her melee just to save Mana next are just some abilities that you can skip while leveling the 25 gold is pretty hard to come by at the lower levels and there's a ton of spells and Grim wires to buy while leveling you can simply skip all these spells that I'm about to show you right now to save you a chunk of gold in the long run first only buy the Grim wires for whichever demon you choose to use if you want to use the Imp the whole time to level 25 then only buy imp Grim wires if you want to use the void Walker the whole time don't buy imp and succubus Grim wires and only buy the void Walkers curs weakness is ass you don't need it while leveling I have kill roog is pretty useless I just wouldn't even worry about it drain Mana is also tricks but I guess you can get some uses out of it if you're on a PVP server but me and in sense demons you don't really need as well you also only need to get rank one drain Soul since you're only using drain soul to get Soul shards and then rank one cursive wreck as well you don't need to get the max rank of that until you're cap level next up I want to talk about wands wands are very very important when it comes to leveling and will quite literally carry you especially at these lower levels you can get them off the auction house from quests or dungeons as soon as you can I'm not going to list everyone just know that there's a ton on the auction house you can get these are just some important ones that I think you should not skip the Lesser and the greater magic wand are the first two main ones you can get a ton of warlocks and cers in general like to go enchanting and tailoring like I said right away to craft these two but you can also just buy them off the auction house there will be a ton of them up there onine launch the next wand worth mentioning is Cookie stirring Rod this is a really good wand that comes out of dead Minds which is much easier to get as Alliance but horde can also do deadmines as well there's also a couple really good questing wands in stone Talon for horde and wetlands for Alliance that will replace greater magic wand lastly is the Giga Wan the 50 cal gravestone scepter this wand is actually best in slot at level 25 so try to get it the only issue with this is it's from black fathom deeps dungeon which we don't know if the dungeon is still going to be in there since now that's a raid but I guess we'll find out soon next up is some add-ons that I think will help you starting with rested XP this is the world's best leveling add-on in the game and it just pretty much holds your hand and tells you where to go with an arrow I'm pretty sure you guys have heard of rested XP but if you haven't this is what it looks like it's amazing it tells you where to go tells you to watch out for there's a speed running guide and all that but the best part but the best part is that they've added a rune Discovery section so it'll tell you where to get your runes and how to get them and everything and it's going updated as soon as it goes live when runes get found they're going to put it in there and another great part about this is yes it's a paid guide however it's free from Level 1 to 20 as in you don't need to pay anything from Level 1 to 20 so I would suggest just getting it using it from LEL 1 to 20 the Rune guide comes free with it and then just figuring out 20 to 25 on your own or you can buy it if you want and use it for the future because it'll go all the way to 60 if you want it and you could use code cricks to get it cheaper next up is questy this is an alternative questing add-on this just helps you find where all the quests are I'm pretty sure you guys have heard of that the next one is weak ORS this is just a nice add-on that you can import dott trackers which I really really like just to keep track of your dots and stuff like that threat plates is the next one which is a name plate add-on that helps you keep track of your dots but also helps cuz it tells you how much threat you have on a mob right here on the percentage number next one is just some quality life one's called wide Quest log which gives you a wider Quest log so it just I like it because it doesn't look all just smooshed together you have what's training which tells you when you learn all your abilities and all your Grim wires and stuff which I love more than anything you have bagnan or add bags which just bag add-ons so you know I don't like the default like you know five slot bag thing so I like to have it all in one big bag next one is one of my favorite add-ons called talented this lets you do templates for your talents like this where you can put all your talent points in you can make different builds you can you know copy and paste them you can do a whole bunch of cool stuff with it next one is hiding bar and this one's for anybody who has a lot of add-ons you know how the mini map up there on the top has all the little circles where it has all your uh your your add-on add-on icons you can Bunch it up here and put it in a bar it's really nice next one's item rack this is just used to quickly switch gear which is really cool and then lvi which is completely subjective I love lvi because I I hate the default UI this just gives you a better look uh if you like my look it'll be in the description below it's just you can copy paste it in there and the last two are leotrix plus and leotrix Maps leotrix plus just let helps you do things like automated Quest turn in uh you can ignore you know invites you can ignore Guild invites it'll pick your Auto Quest rewards you can you know pick up quests without having to do to dialogue just a whole bunch of stuff and leotrix Maps just makes your map look like this which is is pretty cool and lastly I wanted to go over some leveling tips okay as soon as the game starts you can take off all your clothes and sell them with your food that they give you when you start to your demon Grim wire vendor and this will give you enough gold to buy emade at level one alternatively you can kill one or two mobs right where you spawn and get drops from them to sell as well emade is really broken early on so enough said next up cloth armor is inefficient in your starting zone sell all gray armor and choose Quest rewards with a highest sale value until you leave your 1 to six Zone vendor pretty much everything so you can buy bags early bags are very important next like I said earlier use a wand use it a lot wands are very strong in classic and should be used the whole time you are leveling put your dots up and wand away this will also help your voidwalker hold threat more as you save Mana in a long run pay attention to your 5-second rule after you don't cast for 5 seconds your Mana will start regenerating faster don't clip your dots or overd do just waste Mana resulting in sitting and drinking more example don't Agony a mob that has 20% health and will die in 5 seconds or if you see that a mob is at 20% and already has an Agony in an erruption on it let those dots finish off and rather crank a shadowbolt or wand next up is the Warlock Mantra if you can fear it you can kill it quite simply if you can fear it you can dot it up and keep it feared forever always double cast fear just in case your first one misses also be careful with your fear I typically only fear when it's really really needed as this can mess up and pull a ton of mobs which can actually kill you and also make sure you juggle your fear with cursor recklessness this is what it looks like you can simply fear a mob and when it's feared you can put a cursor wreck on it and it'll cancel the fear right it'll make him stop running but then as soon as you put another curse up that overrides the curse of recklessness he'll continue being feared this helps because he can run in the wrong direction you can fear him into another Direction it's really really nice next up use rain of fire to split mobs in a pack example if you were to pull a pack of four normally all four of those mobs would then chase you until you reset leash on all of them or get killed however if you use an AOE like a grenade or rain of fire to pull all four then apply a DOT and wand only the one that you want to kill all the other mobs will unleash and go back to their starts and the one that you damage will stay with you next it's very important to keep your pets on passive this will eliminate any chances of him pulling extra mobs let your demon tank as much as you possibly can without letting it die if your drain tanking is a fliction let your succubus take the first hit or two while you get your dots up and then it'll will pull from the succubus and that'll be it for the Warlock leveling guide for seasons of Discovery like I said this is only at level 25 I will make other ones when it the cap goes to 40 50 and then 60 okay this one's a little bit longer I thank you guys for sticking with it if you guys are still here please hit the follow hit the Bell do all that stuff that you hear every person on YouTube say and most importantly check out the Warlock Discord your OneStop shop for anything and everything warlock related and of course check out the stream where I'll be warlock tank I have two warlocks warlock tank and a warlock DPS at cricks Vibes there's not much to say there guys I appreciate you hanging out I'm going to be doing a ton of warlock content let me know in the comments if you like this and I'll see you on the next one peace
