Warriors are in an amazing spot right now in Phase One comfortably sitting on top of the rankings and it will just get better as we progress through the phases I wanted to make a raid guide for DPS Warriors to go over everything you need to know in regards to dpsing as a warrior at level 25 in season of Discovery as you all know things change blizzard makes changes and of course there are new level cap raises with the new phases so I will make an updated one as we go through the phases before we begin though I am by no means of gigabrain warrior and I urge you to check out the warrior Discord Fight Club where you can find players much more versed in the art of warrior with most information you need simply pinned in the proper channels I'll put a link in the description if you want to go check it out also I stream over on Twitch at twitch.tv/ cricks viibes if you want to hang out ask questions or just meet some new friends I play a ton of classes and I intend to make guides on all of them let's get started first off on how Warriors feel as I said earlier Warriors are in a magn anicent spot right now in terms of DPS while slightly locked behind gear as is every class once you get a couple items in a weapon you're ready to blast and do some very good damage of course the more gear you get the better the class will feel since you not only do more damage but you'll be gaining more rage as well making the gameplay much more fluent in my opinion the rotation is much more fun than most all the other classes I've been playing thanks largely in part to a rune called consumed by Rage which gives you 20% more melee damage for 12 seconds or for up to 12 swings after you get above 80 rage this becomes a Balancing Act of trying to stay right around that 80 range threshold and dropping below and then back above it to keep this enrage for as long as you can more on that later though wild strikes is another fun mechanic for warriors this is a rune that droods have that essentially acts like a wind Fury proc giving you a 20% chance at an extra swing on your weapon and if you're dual wielding the proc will only be on your mainhand weapon you will find yourself fishing for these procs frequently throughout the raid typically using hamstring if you're dual wielding or quick strike if you're using a two-hander while dumping rage for the consumed by rage brune all this combined makes makes it for a pretty fun rotation in my opinion wild strike acts as a weapon oil as well so you will not be able to put a sharpening stone or anything on your main hand another cool thing to me is that when it comes to weapons you have a choice of choosing between using a two-hander or dual wielding dual wielding currently pulls ahead by a few DPS thanks to how the talent deep wounds Works deep wounds applies a bleed to the Target for 60% of your melee weapon's average damage for 12 seconds however if you crit more it'll add up to create an even stronger deep wounds rather than just each crit refreshing deep wounds like it did in classic if you want more information on this guy brush from Fight Club has made a nice document on it and I'll link it in the description all that said it's important to play whichever you like if you prefer two-hand then play two-hander as they are so close to one another that it doesn't matter much if you have a better two-hander then you do a dual World weapons to just go two-hander to know which one will do more damage for you you can simply Sim it to figure out I'll link to Sim in the description if you want to check it out both are pretty much on par with each other like I said plus there are certain fights that twoand is better on for for example Baron is imun to bleeds lady SES and lorus Jet are excellent cleave fights and two-handers are slightly better for cleaving so really it honestly is play what you want and don't worry about falling behind this is one of my favorite things about Warriors having the option to swap back and forth whenever you want with no penalty on talents since you can run the same talents for both two-hander and dual wield you'll just need to swap one of your runes which we will go over in the Rune section for consumables there is a ton that you can get with some of them making you do more damage while the other ones just kind of make you tankier and one can even give you more rage elixir of ogre's strength and scroll of strength rank two which gives you one more strength there's also a horde only strength buff that gives you 10 strength if you turn in four blood shards none of these Buffs stack with each other so you can only have one of the strength Buffs for agility you have elixir of lesser agility or Scroll of agility rank two which gives you one more Agy for 30 minutes there's also hordon Agy buff for 10 agility if you turn in four more blood shards once again these do not stack with each other so you can only have one of the Agy Buffs heavily crck stew is your best option for a food buff this gives you eight stamina and eight Spirit a good cheap alternative is six Stam six spirit one called Goblin deviled clams there's a ton of the six Stam ones those are just the cheapest ones that's what I get every time if I don't have the eight Stam ones rage potions are extremely important and also pretty cheap these will give you a huge chunk of Rage which will help a lot I use these if I'm hurting on rage and want to pop above the 80 rage threshold for my consumed by rage Rune black fathom sharpening stone is only needed if you are dual wield and if you are you'd put this on your offhand this gives you 2% hit for 30 minutes this does not stack with wild strikes from mude which is why I say just to put it on your off hand so that your main hand can get wild strikes boggling route is a consumable that you can Farm up yourself or you can just buy on the auction house this will increase your physical damage by one for 10 minutes not a huge buff but free damage is always good right these next few consumables won't help your damage out but they are more defensive ones to help you be a little more tanky which is always nice in case you pull aggro on a mob or two rums you run black label for 15 stamina strong trolls blood potion that give you six Health per 5 Seconds elixir of minor fortitude that'll give you some extra health elixir of Defense increasing your armor by 150 and both free action potions and Shadow protection potions have Niche uses in the raid more particularly on Lord kis or if you pull aggro on a whole bunch of mobs you can fap it for stat priority you want to go hit strength crit agility and then stamina and everything else hit is the most important stat that we can get this obviously makes us hit more often thus doing more damage and generating more rage so pretty important the hit cap is 6% and there are some things that you can get to help you close that Gap there's a three piece set in the raid that you can obtain if you want for one extra hit there's also a sharpening stone that you can use only if you're du W and on your offhand and also some crafted pieces that you can craft as well speaking of dual wield you also have a dual wield hit penalty for using a weapon in your offhand meaning you need I think it was 14% hit for your hit cap on your offhand in phase one I could be completely wrong on the 14% someone can correct me in the comments if so strength is other main stat that you'll be looking for on most if not all of your gear this will make you do more damage crit will obviously make you do more damage as well making you gain a ton more rage agility is nice which will give you even more crit as well as slightly increase your armor and your Dodge for talents and runes this is the best talent build and it's the same regardless of if you're two-handing or dual wielding with the only difference is that dual wield uses single-minded Fury Rune and two-handers use Quick strike Rune instead your first point will go into cruelty in the fury tree as this gives you 1% crit which is very nice as this can give you more damage proc deep wounds and of course give you more rage your next three points into to improved Ren this is largely to unlock deep wounds which requires all three points have improved Ren but also Ren is decent rage spent since even though it's not much damage it's a decent rage Spiner for when you're dumping rage and it's better than no damage I guess next three points into improved heroic strike just to reduce the rage cost of heroic strike the times that you do press it this is not a great talent but there's not really anything else that's worth it your next two points into to improve charge as this will give you six more rage when you charge which will be all the time next two points into the Tactical Mastery these are just filler Talons but can be handy if you need to ever swap stances to pick up ads or whatever else the next three points will go into deep wounds which is one of your main talents and it does very good damage especially if you're dual wiing this makes your crit put a bleed on the target dealing 60% of your average weapon damage over 12 seconds as we mentioned earlier the more you crit it will add up to create an even stronger deep wounds rather than each crit just refreshing deep wounds like it did in Original Classic the last two points you can put into improv overpower to increase its chance to crit by 50% making your frequently used ability crit quite often as we're going down the fury tree I know that there's some people out there going down to pick up impr impr cleave and then picking up like EMB bridled wrath and improved battle shut along the way but that seems kind of sus to get just to get some more cleave damage even on the fights that have a ton of cleave it just feels awkward to sacrifice deep wounds and the other arms talents at this phase to cheese a couple fights I'm not saying it won't work because I'm pretty sure anything can work but the first build is just largely what people are using and it's suggested runes are really straightforward regardless of what build or weapons you're using for your chest Rune raging blow is the best option this is a hard-hitting ability that deals 100% weapon damage but can only be used while in Rage in Berserker rage or if blood rage is active this is a nice talent because while under the inrage effects of your leg Rune consumed by rage you are able to use this flation is an all right Rune however in this phase you really only gain the damage bonus while under blood rage every 60 seconds making you have 48 seconds of down time without the buff once we get Berserker rage next phase we might see more use of this though for legs consumed by rage is the only leg Rune worth using or mentioning this is the focal point of a warrior right now this makes you do 20% more damage for 12 seconds or for your next 12 swings whenever you go over 80 rage this is not only an amazing Rune but it also adds some fun in the gam playay playing a balancing act of sords to go above 80 rage to get that buff for 12 seconds then fall back under 80 rage then back above it again to try and have the in Rage Up full time this pair is extraordinar well with your chess Rune raging blow since you can't use raging blow unless you're in Rage which the consume by rage buff is an enrage for your glove Rune this will depend largely if you're two-handing or you're dual wielding if you're dual wielding simply use single-minded fury which will make you deal 10% % more damage while do wielding but also make you move 10% faster which is pretty dope if you're using a two-hander the best option is quick strike this requires a two-hander and does great damage while also benefiting from and triggers all effects associated with heroic strike like the improved heroic strike Talent this is just used almost as a filler when you're above 80 rage and your two-handing and need to dump rage to fall back under the 80 rage thresh roll for consumed by rage for phase one gearing both two hand and dual W have pretty much the same gear two hand prefers the strength bow rather than the Agy gun they also can use the Twilight Avengers boots to complete the thre set and obviously they use the Epic two-hander for preus for both of them it kind of sucks because it's largely bind on equip and by far the most expensive pieces as well and in my opinion it's not worth spending hundreds of gold to get items that you will replace pretty fast but more power to you if you can afford it but to quickly go over the phase one gear all right so for the helm you want the Twilight Avengers Helm off the aamai gas lus Shad or Lord K this is the best option for helmet thanks to the pure stats plus a two set bonus of 12 attack power when you match it with the chest or even if you want to you can match it with the boots and have the the one proceed to hit on it uh your neck is a high tide choker nothing else really comes close to it you'll get this off of Baron aquinus obviously like I said just use a spectral necklace tiger the thing about this neck is it's like 80 gold that's wild I would never do that shoulders you don't really have a choice there's no good shoulders that drop in here so you just want one of the tiger ones kind of expensive like I said but whatever your cloak is rank three from PvP which is pretty easy just go PVP you know what I mean otherwise buy a tiger thing and that's more expensive so up to you on that too the chest says the Twilight Avengers chain off of Gass lus Strat and L's kis this is the best option for it plus it'll give you the two set for 12 attack power as for the blacksmithing epic chest it's not worth crafting this unless you really really want it the Avengers is just better due to the set bonus and it won't be hard to get as you don't have much competition for it for the bracers you want the joran bracers these are bind and equip and cost about 40 gold last I check depending on your server these are pretty good you can also use one of these if you want it The Binding of ccus it has some strength on it you're just lacking the agility that comes with it as well and then the pugil bracers is the same thing on them pretty much just with a couple more strength very expensive like these are Boe Boe Boe very expensive for gloves you want the algae gauntlets off of gy house you can also use the void touch leather gloves which is good if you want to craft them that's more up to you um you can definitely just to get these as leather working these have decent stats and a nice on use I just going to prefer the tin strength over them for belt unfortunately there isn't too many good belts in the game the best one is the tiger belt however that is very very expensive last I check so you can just go for the Cobin grasp and Wailing Caverns you can find people soloing this boss for the super cheap or just Spam willing cabage yourself until it drops legs are the leggings of the faithful off of Lady cavez they're the only ones you really want with a chunk of strength and ay chis I don't know how to say that chis whatever of Westfall from the deadmines quest or leggings of the Fang from whing C Caverns from whing Caverns are great alternatives to wear while waiting to obtain the leggings of the faithful from The Raid boots you have an option either silver hand sabatons from lorus jet or the Twilight Avenger boots silver hands have better stats and Sim better than Twilight Avengers even though Twilight Avengers gives you one more hit if you're using all three of them however just feel free to use which treas ones you want the difference is minute your best rings are the thunderbow ring which is a Boe and extremely expensive right now and then the band of Iron Fist which is a BFD Quest allegiance of the old gods if you're a hoarde if you're Alliance you can use the protector's band which is the same thing as a legionaries band it's just a different faction and I didn't swap it on this document right here I don't feel like swapping it right now okay this requires you to be honored with Silver Wing Sentinels and you can also use the Seal of Ren from the Stormwind Quest and audience with the King both are kind of good to use for tricks you don't have many options Avengers void Pearl off the last boss aimi he drops a quest item Pearl it's called like the perfect something Pearl and when you turn it in you get the option of three trinkets The Avengers void Pearl is the one with 18 attack power and that's the one you want also know that the Boon of black fathom buff drops whenever you uh turn the quest in so you can you know coordinate that with your guild for your range weapon both the Bale modem blunderbus agility gun and the Naga heart render strength bow are great options with twoh handers preferring the strength bow and do whatever preferring the AY gun both are great so just use whatever you get for weapons the two-handers want to use the new epic purple deadly strike of the Hydra this is your absolute best in slot it does hell of damage for your two-hander um you're just going to want this right away off of aamai fathom blade off of Baron is a good weapon to use until you can get the two-hander as well for dual wooding your main hand's going to be honed dark waterer Tower off of Lady service and you're off hand you want as fast as a weapon as you can get to get more deepoon procs and you have three options for fast daggers with the black feather ritual dagger being the best and then also you have the vampiric boot knife and then the suntouch Crescent next up on professions they're not atory by any means but can be helpful in their own ways engineering at this phase doesn't offer too much but it will at later phases right now it's always nice as it provides heavy Dynamite which can be used frequently for some extra damage with leather working you can craft the Epic gloves void touch leather gloves which can provide some extra hit as well as a pretty powerful on use that increases your attack speed by 10% on a 10-minute cool down these are nice gloves to use until you get the raid gloves if you want to spend the gold to craft them blacksmithing you can craft the Epic chest shifting silver breastplate which is all right but it's not as good as crafting the Epic leather work gloves that's up to you though next is the rotation for dual World rotation it's more like a priority system and trying to ensure you keep up your consumed by rage buff as much as you can it's important to pull rage from a mod before the boss with the goal of trying to start the boss encounter around 70 rage this means you'll be able to charge in and be at 80 Rage which means you'll instantly be in Rage from your consumed by rage Rune if you are unable to pull rage then you can simply charge in and auto attack until you're above 80 rage to begin you really don't want to use rage until you're above 80 to get the massive buff from your Rune I typically will use a rage potion or blood rage to help get above 80 if needed when I can't pull rage before the boss some choose to keep rage pots for the execute phase but that's up to you once above the 80 rage threshold use raging blow and keep it on cool down as much as you can while being enraged so Under Armor should be up all the times if you don't have homunculi from a priest you should have homunculi on all bosses but in the rare occasion that you're not running a priest or if the priest is not running homunculi then make sure to put up five Sun armors on the boss use overpower whenever it procs and above the 80 rage threshold use hamstring when above 80 rage in order to drop below 80 rage wind is a good option to use to drop below 80 rage as well however some people choose to keep Ren up fulltime regardless I personally don't like Ren unless I want to dump some rage and most people I see on the logs don't use Ren either even with the mangle buff however feel free to use it if you want to as it is pretty good damage per rage spent even though it feels like ass hero strike is only used when you get close to capping rage around 90 to 100 rage I rarely use this as I like to use hamstring to dump rage hamstring is a great rage spinder as this can proc wild strikes from your drud plus heroic strike takes over your melee swing meaning you cannot proc wild strikes from it when starting the cap as it can dump a decent amount of Rage if I ever see myself at 100 raise I press heroic strike and use hamstring and I'll be back under 80 rage in no time just make sure you're not to spam her Oak strike too much as it will drain your rage and you'll be left Auto attacking waiting to get back above 80 rage also I have been guilty of battle shouting randomly in a fight just to drop below 80 rage as well probably not supposed to do that but whatever execute while a fun ability is only worth pressing as a finisher when the boss is going to die like I'm talking 1 to 2% Health left type never use execute unless the fight is literally going to be over since you need rage to flirt with the consumed by rage Rune and be at that 80 rage threshold and execute spins the rest of your rage something that can be really important for dual wielders is queuing and canceling your heroic strike you queue it up after your main hand swings then you cancel the heroic strike queue right before your main hand swings this is nice because while heroic strike is queued you cannot miss your offhand swing swing it might sound hectic but it's not as bad as it sounds you can track your swing timer with an add-on or a week or that I'll put in the description and you can use this macro on screen and if you press it once it cues heroic strike and then when you press it again it cancels the que might take some practice but will be worth it in the long run because you'll be hitting for much more often with your off hand which is obviously more damage but can also lead to more crits more rage and of course more deep Rune poxs the two-handed rotation is kind of the same thing except for you don't need a q cancel heroic strike and instead of hero strike spamming and spamming hamstring you just use Quick strike to drop below 80 rage then pop back above the 80 rage threshold keep raging blow on coold down and then just blast it's pretty smooth your AOE consists of making sure that you're in Rage from hitting your ad0 rage threshold from your consumed by rage Rune then spam cleave to fall below 80 then get back above it to trigger enrage RIT and repeat you can also use heavy Dynamite to help you out with AOE for engineering as well for add-ons and we oras I have a video I made a week ago that goes over every single one of my add-ons and my uis and my LBI and everything all my we oras I'll link it the description and show it on screen right now if you want anything that you see from my UI you can go there and uh go to the description and pull it out outside of that the only Warrior specific things I'd recommend is a week or to track everything like what you see in the middle of my screen this will keep track of everything that you have like your cooldowns your Ren timer when to battle shout if you have consumed by rage buff up a rage tracker and even has a swing timer baked into it the one I'm personally using is fogis and I'll link it in the description which you have to be a patreon to get it's like $4 and you unlock every week or he makes for every class and every expansion of the game if you don't want to spend money then I'll have a free version linked right under it I wanted to close with some tips I mentioned it earlier but pulling rage is massive before every boss there's an ad that you can pull before the boss to get some rage allowing you to start the boss encounter close to 80 and ready to pump I feel like the perfect amount is 70 or so so you can charge in and immediately be above 80 rage examples are the water Elementals or the crabs right before Baron you can save one Turtle before gamorra to pull rage you can use a merlock to pull rage before Gast one of the nagas before lady cavis one of the mini ads before Twilight Lord kis and one of the turtles before the last boss akumi a tip that kind of goes with that last one is using blood rage is an amazing way to jump over that 0 rage threshold to activate your consumed by rage Rune it can also be used to pause your rage before depleting say you have rage before a boss but your rage is depleting because the healers need Mana or whatever you can blood rage to not only stop your rage from depleting but gaining more rage as well I just kind of make sure I don't ever do it until I'm below 60 rage because blood rage gives you 20 rage 10 right away and then 10 over time and you don't want to accidentally go over 80 rage while waiting for the encounter to start don't press any abilities until you're above 80 rage to proc your consumed by rage Rune don't even ther if you have to Sender even if it feels bad just Auto attack until you hit that 80 rage threshold if you're able to pull rage then you won't have an issue with this but if you weren't able to pull rage then just Auto attack or use a rage potion or blood rage if dual wielding use hamstring a lot this is one of your main abilities to dump rage to fall back underneath the 80 rage threshold put it on a comfortable key bind and press it a lot this proc wild strikes as well so it doubles is really nice if two-handed rather than using hamstring use Quick strike and use it a ton if you have the option of a good two-hander you can swap between two-handed and dual wielding depending on the encounter Baron is good for two-handed since he's immune to bleeds and the bleeds are what makes dual wield really really good two-handed can be better on lady cavez and lorus Jet because there's so much cleave and two-handed is better for straight cleave while It's tricky to charge in on the boss since once your tank pulls you won't be able to charge anymore you can still charge a little bit ahead of time I charge with 2 seconds left on the pull timer and I usually get it off well that's it for this one guys I think I covered most everything needed to start raing if I missed anything please let me know in the comments so we can all help each other out I'll update this when the new phase opens up to level 40 here in a month or so once again please check out the fight club Discord for warriors for much more in-depth information and feel free to head to my Discord or stream to ask any questions as well much love and cheers
