- What up, party people! Today we are doing an extreme
Korean spicy noodle challenge. - [Eugene] We'll be eating
eight different levels of instant Korean spicy noodles. Going from hot-- - Oh, (beep)! - To hotter. - It's so hot, I can't even talk. - Mm, to hottest. (Ned groans) - [Zach] We've got a bunch of hot noodles that we're going to prepare here that increase in intensity as they go up the Scoville rating. We're starting at around 2,000 and going all the way up to 8,000. - It is gonna get hot, and I
am not looking forward to it. - All right, let's make some noodles. (upbeat music) - Okay, so. Welcome to cooking with Zach. First, you open the noodle. Second, you put it in water. Third, you eat it. Let's do this! - I do have a secret weapon
in that my wife is here and she has a great spice tolerance, so today, I will be
recruiting her for team Keith. - We're doing it, we're
shooting Try Guys videos from our houses. You're watching the hot
spicy noodle taste test, let's get started. - [Eugene] Level one:
Jjajang Hot Chicken Flavor. - It smells crazy. I've never smelled
anything like this ramen. It smells very interesting. I've never had a ramen that had paste. It's got a black bean paste. Also, the instructions said "Please." Number two started with
"Please remove this", I'm like "that is so sweet." - Level one, here we go. - Okay, okay, little heat, little heat. - Oh, (beep)! (laughs) Oh, that's hot. Oh my
God, that's level one? Oh my God, Keith is
gonna (beep) hate this. - It's spicy. (sighs loudly) Oh, wow! Oh, it just burns. The flavor is good but it's just one of those flavors that just burns. I don't taste anything but burn. - [Becky] (laughs) You're so red. - This is crazy. This is crazy. Why (sniffs) oh my God. (intense music) I can't be the only one reacting this big. I think I'm just so shocked and betrayed because it's level one. - Kinda wish this was a little spicier but the jjajangmyeon
flavor is really good. - Ooh (sucks in air). Whoo, Becky. Becky, Becky. You're gonna be in here on
the next round, I think. - Now, a lot of our fans may be wondering, "Zach, you're allergic to
bell pepper and to peppers, isn't this poison for you?" The answer, dear listener, is yes. Yes, this is poison and
what you're experiencing is what it's like when I'm poisoned. This was a mistake, this
video was such a mistake. I'm already sweating. - Just so you guys know that
we're not wasting any food, all leftovers will be consumed
by the lovely Miss Ariel. - That is not true! - (laughs) No, they'll be consumed by me, over the next couple days. We're gonna refrigerate them. - I'm hoping that as the spice goes up the flavor goes up too, because right now it's just burning hot. Not a great concentration of flavor. But the next one is cheesy! Which should be good, right? That should quell some of the spice. (bangs on table) Whoo, let's keep going. - [Eugene] Level two. - We're gonna do the Hot
Chicken Flavor Ramen, cheese edition. Comes in a yellow
packet, it's got a little dusting of mac and cheese on it. Whoa! Look at this! I am here for it. I feel like this one could be the most delicious one. - You might not know this but Korean food actually
goes pretty well with cheese. Something about the
spices meld well together with some dairy products and uh, yeah. It always comes out pretty pleasant. - Also, check this out. Becky was so sweet. She
got me my own chopsticks. They say "Keith." I
know you can't read it. Maybe you can read it, maybe. But we just realized we
used chopsticks enough that we wanted to get
a permanent pair. Cute. - Oh my God. This smells like if corn, the food, was a fan of Korn, the band. Oh, it's hardcore. Do you see those little red dots of evil? Whoa, look at my face, how fun! Look at how fun my warped face is. - All right, let's go for it. (slurping) - Ah (hisses). This one's more of like a
back of the throat burn. This one hurts here and
it hurts here, already. Maybe that's the first one.
It's getting down there. - First one was all pain, no flavor. This is a lot of flavor. Has more pain, but it's
hitting the sides of my tongue. (breathes out) I can certainly say I don't
want to eat this anymore. - My mouth is just kind of
on a constant, tingly alert. You can get a push
notification on your phone that says "tingly alert: my mouth." - This still doesn't
feel like it's very hot. I mean, kind of like the first level I've kind of been craving
more of a punch up front. This still isn't really very spicy. Cheesy, but not spicy. (groans) - I feel like I'm under attack. Like my body is trying to
develop antibodies for this. (sucks in air) - Both eyes are crying. (smacks table) Wow. Wow, wow, wow, wow. - I feel so defeated. Immediately. I don't think I can keep going. I don't think I can. - Oh, boy! My mouth is really hot. Do we have any bread? No, we have almond milk, right? - You look like you have lipstick on. - I'm gonna have some of that. And then we're gonna go on to level three. That'll be my last level.
This is so hot. Oh my God. - [Eugene] Level three.
Carbonara Hot Chicken Flavor. That's right, you heard
me correctly. Carbonara. Like, the Italian sauce. - You know, I never thought that carbonara would convert well to ramen noodles. I'm not sure if I'm into this. - Okay, we're making ramen pack three and it's so spicy. I texted Zach. He said it's also spicy. I didn't expect level two to be this bad. My mucus is out of control. Oh, boy, level two. Level two is so spicy. - It's so spicy. Bowie, go away. Not now. Not now. Don't take advantage of me while I'm hurt. Everyone is always like "Try Guys, "why aren't you guys on Hot Ones?" Two reasons. One, they haven't invited us. And two, I'm a little bitch. - I think this is when we're getting above 2000 or close to 2000 Scovilles. Let's just dive in, you
know. Let's just do it. The heat is not as like upfront intense but it is like everywhere. It's all over my mouth. It's like, through the back of the tongue. The whole tongue. I feel like it's not
as bad as the last one. Not sure why, maybe it's the cheese. Maybe the cheese took a little edge off. - This one brings a taste of
Italy to your spicy mouth. This one actually feels less spicy to me. - This has zero kick for me. If you told me this was
supposed to be spicy, I would think you were lying. I feel like the only people
who might like this are, I don't know. Some white people? - This one brings a taste of
Italy to your spicy mouth. - What level are the other guys on now? Because I'm on level two. And I'm not having a good time. I'm still suffering over here. I don't think I'm gonna
get to level three. I really don't. Wow, look at how beautiful my eyes are. You never really stop to
notice that, you know? - Now, when we did the
spicy ramen challenge at Tsujita Ramen. One of the things by
the end we learned that you can have euphoria. Euphoria! So we're gonna see if we can get, Zendaya from the Bigfoot
movie, euphoria level, today. - So I just found out level
three is cheese flavored. I'm lactose intolerant. Spice already (beep) up my belly, I'm not double-dipping here. So I'm just gonna pretend to eat this while the other guys do. (eating sounds) Ooh, hot. Oh, wow,
that's so hot. So spicy. Oh my God that's so spicy. - I feel like after this that
I could go into level four. Wow! - You ready to go on to level four? You ready to go on to level four? He's so bored. He hates
that I've been home so much. Dogs are over it. Are your pets over it?
Are your pets over you? I think they're over me. I think they're like "What
the (beep) did you do "to stay home all day, huh? "Can't you just give me
some time to lick my balls?" Level four: Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen Mala. - [Ned] This clocks in
at 2700 Scoville units. I don't know what mala is
but I'm about to find out. - [Eugene] Mala, I believe,
is a type of Chinese sauce, that has a little bit
of the numbing spice. So I have high hopes for this one. - I think I was overreacting
to the first two. You know, mind over matter. This one looks great, it smells great. - Honestly, this is further
than I thought I'd make it. Level four. Feel like
I'm a champion right now. But after this I don't
think I can do much more. Okay. Okay. Going in. - It's hot. - I can see what they
mean by the mala flavors. There's a little bit of tingling on the tongue and lips. Otherwise, it's just really delicious. This is kind of more like a Chinese sauce. Like, I don't know, Southeast Asian-ish. It's really tasty. - Yeah I'm definitely getting
a little bit of heat here. Almost like getting this kind of like, beef broth type of flavor. I don't quite know how to describe it. - I feel like if you took my temperature, it would be hot. (bangs table) That's it for team Keith. Well. I can't even speak. I can't even talk. (breathes deeply) - I feel like... The very beginning of a weird drug trip. Where you're like, "Is this what the world
always looks like?" "Are you guys like, "aware that your cheeks are on your face?" "Huh." "Where does my tongue
go when I'm sleeping?" "How long do you guys think "we're gonna be stuck in quarantine?" "It's gonna be May!" (laughs) "How are you guys doing?" - It's so hot. I can't even talk. I can't even think. Becky is gonna come in and
attempt level five for me. - I don't think it's very spicy. Am I crazy? And I am not sweating at all. I just have this makeup on because I am so tired of
looking at myself in quarantine. I'm starting to go crazy and I just want to look
like I'm somebody else. But we've only been in the 2000 Scoville. We're about to jump into
the 3s with the next level. - Okay. Becky's making her next round. I just wanted (laughs) an update. It's all up to Becky
now. She's team Keith. She's a real trooper, let's
see how she handles this. Okay, okay let's go. Level five. - [Eugene] Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen Curry. - [Ned] And this Scoville unit is 3,810. So we just went from 2700 to 3,810. - [Ariel] I can smell it.
This one made me cough. - Oh my God. - All right, so. Team Keith, all the way! Jumping in! I don't think it's fair that
Keith always gets eliminated because he has a (beep) up tongue. It's not his fault. He was born that way. - It smells distinctly like Korean curry, which is a very particular type of curry. If you don't know what it's like you should definitely go check it out. But let's try it. (thrilling music) - No. (yells) Why do all of these
turn me into Will Smith? Whoo! That's hot. - (grunts) The curry flavor
like, masks the heat level. And I just feel like I'm
eating a spicy curry. - (satisfied grunt) That's so good. This is super yummy. You know, I did film Rank King: Spices where I ate everything
in my spice cabinet. So maybe that has ruined my palette for the rest of my life. But this? Flavorwise? A plus. Delicious. - That's good. I like this one. I would eat this. - Wow, oh wow. She's
just, "everything's fine." Because I'm just a weak little loser! Because I'm just a loser!
(Becky laughing) - It's pepper spray in the throat. There's, a lot of them,
sometimes they hurt here, sometimes they hurt here,
sometimes they hurt here. This one. Felt it all the
way and I'm feeling it. (laughs uneasily) - I really think I'm
waiting for these last three to kick me in the ass when
it comes to the spice levels. Kimbap? My dog likes to lie in the sun. It's so cute. I'm gonna show you. Just gonna show you real quick at the end of this shot, here we go. Look at this, look what he's doing. Look at that. Isn't that adorable? He only picks sun to lie in. All right, you know what time it is? Time to level up! To number six. (yells) - We're taking a little
in-between spice break. Let's check on Ariel in
the kitchen. (groans) How's it going Ariel? - It's going good. It's
getting hot in here. - It is getting hot in here indeed. We've got the last three coming up. This is the final countdown, number six, seven, and eight right here. - ♪ Level six! Level six. ♪ - [Eugene] Level six. Hot Chicken Flavor. The original flavor. - [Ned] There's little
bits of black in this? Oh no. It is just the darkest maroon. This thing is ready to (beep) me up. - I'm guessing by this
point in this video, Keith is out. - Now you're the little kitchen gremlin. - I'm the kitchen gremlin. (Becky laughs) ♪ I don't want to do this.
I don't want to do this! ♪ - (beep) me up, baby. Let's do this. (moans) - Come on, Zach. You can (beep) do this. You're a champion. You got this. (suspenseful music) - Wow. About midway through my bite, there just was a whole like, wrecking ball of a hit of spice. (lighthearted music) - Really tasty. I would love to make this
and put vegetables on it. Like some green onion. Little fish cakes and
you made the fancy ramen. Like Rie on Tasty. She always wants to put alcohol in things. Feel like that's a fellow
alcohol enthusiast right there. How are the other guys handling this? Do the other guys think this is spicy? Are they freaking out? Are the other guys freaking out? - Do you see? I have
goosebumps up and down my arms. Oh my God, it really hurts. This ones a slow build.
It wasn't that bad. And now like, my lips and the tip of my tongue really burn. (inspiring music) - [Keith] Nothing? (Becky laughs) - [Keith] Nothing? - This one's fine. Yeah, this was less hot than the curry. - [Keith] What are you talking about? - Maybe you should check your list. - [Keith] Maybe I should. - I need to get it off. I need to get it off my lips. (hissing) (water running) - [Maggie] Are you okay? - No. I'm done. - Okay. Level seven. Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen Stew type. That's right. Our second to last dish
is in fact the only soup. This is the color of the sun. (laughs) It is very spicy smelling, it just smells like it's
just liquid peppers. - This looks dangerous. This looks bad. Oh, look at all that spice! Oh, my. - What's the best way, go under, go over? - [Keith] Just slurp
it. Yeah, there you go. (slurping) - Oh my gosh, that's
so much in your mouth. It's so spicy! It's so spicy. - Oh it hurts so good! Oh I'm seeing Zendaya Is Meechee - I think this is delicious. But, not super duper spicy. The broth is just like, pure pepper. It's just spice-forward. For Koreans, it reminds me of a soup called Jjamppong, which is like a Chinese-Korean seafood soup. - It's like kind of spicy. - [Keith] I put in the whole pack. - Oh really? - [Keith] Yeah. - It's flavorful for being kinda hot. - [Keith] Nothing? - There's some heat on it. - This is like the Ariel of spicy ramen. spicy sauce in there, because it's only half. - Oh you gotta put it all in. We're gonna need the full
power of this spice sauce. So that means every bite
of noodle will taste to me like we're at 16,000 Scovilles. I don't know, that's just my math. I don't know if it's true. - Let's see what this
