okay so one of the misconceptions I see a lot sometimes you know in honesty and sometimes I think people being stupid on purpose is that when there's knife crime in the UK or gang violent type stuff it's only ever committed with very fancy expensive knives it's even done with swords apparently or it's done with like very you know an expensive hunting knives and things like that when it's really not the reason you can actually find out it's not is you're gonna look at official statistics where the knife types are broken down and you can see pictures from weapon sweeps and whatever else even like the knife surrender type things or you know knives from crime scenes and when you look at it there's always sort of a trend and what's that there it's 90 per 90 percent blast kitchen knives why because they are cheap easy to get and you know pretty common untraceable in that sense that unless you have fingerprints on it who's gonna know the difference between one of thousands of kitchen knives sold every year or whatever so you know and they're effective at killing people obviously starring a person to death isn't particularly difficult because humans are you know squishy and knives go into people easily there's plenty of videos on YouTube if you want to look for them with self-defense experts and things like that who demonstrate just how easy it is to put a knife through basically a simulated person especially if the persons trained at using knife most sort of gangbanger type people wouldn't be but you know some of you actually trained can do a lot of damage of a knife an idiot can do a lot of damage of a knife as well so obviously what you need to understand is that if somebody is going to stab somebody the intent of killing them the type of knife doesn't really matter so let's have a look I've got some sort of knives out that look like knives that you see in all these articles and we'll go over a couple of the things they may or may not use as well so what I'm going to do is before we go on to the kitchen knives I'm going to show you a couple of knife types that might be used by criminals and obviously lots and lots far more people use these knives with good intentional purposes but obviously criminals can use them so you do get some folding live knives unlock knives so this is a good example of one this is and learn yellow one now I'm not saying this particular knife is used but these kind of liner-lock knives reason is you can flick it out easily annex about half the size if you have it in a pocket you can honestly have that buried in the pocket can't really see it from the inside you can get out and flick it open then you've got your knife for doing bad things with it again most people like me have honest uses for these knives but that doesn't mean criminals don't have one now does this look like a scary assault knife no it's a wooden-handled flip out the knife but that's not to say that people can't use them for bad things and life is very simple so you've got those I've also seemed surprisingly a large amount openers in pictures where there's confiscated knives and knives from crime scenes the reason is these ones aren't UK legal EDC or anything because they are blade over free inch and locking but the reason is open hours are relatively cheap again this is a thing I want to get out it's normally always cheap knives not high-end knives so obviously you've got a knife that's only about three or four inches long when folded you can unfold it you can then lock it open so it's better for you no cutting and stabbing with and then you've got a bit more reach because you've got you know what's essentially done an eight inch knife if you had a four inch one with the blade unfolded it's about eight inch off they only still a four inch blade or whatever but again if somebody was using it for hacking or slashing or stabbing that would be four suffice now an important thing to know is that for UK legally carrying a knife they'll see if you're doing something dodgy over anyway and you're breaking the law but non-locking knives under three inches if they're folding UK legal Fink Swiss Army knife again a French blade if somebody knows what they're doing is enough to kill somebody easily you only need I think about an inch of a blade to punch or somebody to get to lots of our trees and things like that so free inches gives plenty of room for somebody who knows where they're stabbing you to kill you especially if they're going into your neck or something like that so what the kind of kitchen are you saying big knives like this if you call that a paring knife or like a type of butcher's knife but you know the big meat knives or chopped knives spike on the end so you can stab with it you can obviously do a lot of damage if you brought one these down somebody again color might not be something in gang would use but that doesn't stop a knife being effective as you know a slashing weapon so there's that type again in a similar type of thing there's smaller ones again think if you're a criminal a small knife is good because it's conceivable like something like this again a sharp point on the end and sort of cutting blade somebody could have that even weevil without this little scabbard holster on it tucked into the band their trousers in the pocket bring them out very quickly stab with it and it barely needs force for a knife to kill a person that's an important thing to know if somebody you know does that quickly of their arm that is enough force to easily put a knife fully and I'm fooling out as somebody humans are quite squishy and again you know one somewhere in between on the sizes again that's got a point you could stab with and obviously it's got a sharp edge so a knife like this of course could be used now wonder if they do use kitchen knives in green because with Dana and be zombie knives who knows but again things like zombie knives would not commonly used for stabbing people maybe one or two gangs for it was cool to use on me lines but the statistics don't rely on these sorts of things so this is your sort of stuff I suspect you see a lot of little fixed blade kitchen knives again obvious reasons very easy to put this in your trails a pocket or whatever or in your trouser waistband and then you've got something with you know a few inches on it probably about six inches I see him on this one good enough then if you were stabbing it you could play into somebody easily and of course that would be fatal and and of course big names like this again somebody has that in their sort of trouser pocket brings it out or more a waistband on them life like this very easy just to do a single thrust straight into some of these vital organs or something like this again so these are knives you commonly see so what are the other things you'll sometimes see on the news so you will sometimes now and again see pictures where they have confiscated hunting knives for bowie knife type thing but when that's the case that's generated cheap and ones I I've got some crappy cheap head knives there alright for what I use them for which is messing about but again they'd still be adequate for stabbing people they probably don't have a very good Tang or riveting but again the whole point is kitchen knives and knives like this they used a lot because they're either cheap or the thing I keep seeing a lot and this is a bit like where people don't understand that you can get firearms on the black market they'll say you can't buy a knife in the shore 18 yet there's teenagers stabbing each other to death and what does that happen or if they live with their parents they open the kitchen drawer and they take a knife out that's not how it or maybe they steal a knife from a shop or the person the shop didn't ID them lots of these knives you know only that you know I'm getting out and look they're they're fine in practice I get a fine in theory but once you put them into practice I go totally out the window because there's just so many things where people get around that and if you think how many knives as the average UK house have in the kitchen drawers or on the kitchen surface in a knife block probably quite a lot probably 20-plus knives that be capable of stabbing somebody to death fairly easily so again it's not hard to understand where people would get kitchen knives from easily alright so let me now go on to some of the other types of knives you would see used or you know other types of blades so what other weapons are used excluding firearms that they've got illegally in these sort of gang killings and things like that and hatchets hand axes I've seen these used in various sizes you can find lots of you know released CCTV of stabbings and they want people to try and say who did it lots of times you'll see somebody who has one of these and the coat bring out or start hacking somebody to death for one of these again buy it from any hardware store it's a little axe you know if I wanted to kill somebody has to be pretty efficient not doing it I mean probably not as efficient as a knife stabbing them a few times but you know chopping some of these head with that neck when that arms and that looks scary doesn't it good use if you want an intimidating weapon so yeah lots of gangland killings are also done with the little hatchets and things like that now there's another one weirdly enough that you can get in any sort of garden and hardware store has lots and lots of legitimate says I have lots of legitimate uses for mine however it doesn't stop criminals killing each of them again this isn't some sort of super big sword or anything like that because a lot of adults people say oh they use swords in the majority of these things and no they do not it is a machete would something like this be good for killing people let's see now some machetes this one doesn't little end have snapped off after I used it for various things some Shetty's do have more of a stabbing point on it so obviously some machetes that you can start with as well but you can hack somebody to death of a machete pretty easily I'm obviously in the 90s there was a Rwandan genocide a lot of that was done with machetes because you know if it's cheap and everybody can get one then if you're trying to hack somebody to death this works just like a sword now an actual saw is obviously more efficient for chopping people up because it's got more weight behind the blade so therefore a hex more easily however something like this will leave grizzly life-changing wounds if it doesn't lead to killing you obviously bring that into somebody's neck like that once or twice is enough to do them in little knives if they're slashed across people can leave several inch deep gashes something like this a big whack with it that's the end of you isn't it if it's aimed properly so the point I'm raising is any garden center just like the kitchen knives from the kitchen shops you can get a machete and obviously a machete is completely usable if somebody was using you know using it in gang warfare so maybe some people don't know the difference between swords and machetes because maybe they've looked at pictures and machetes and think their swords but I don't think any gang member when they want to use a weapon and then dispose of it so they don't get potentially caught for you know being in possession of the murder weapon whatever else have it linked to them as far as I'm aware no gang members spend 200 to 300 pounds buying really nice proper swords with for proper tangs and everything else to stab somebody with or hack them to death with I'm yet to see footage not to say it doesn't exist of somewhere or in London or Glasgow or whatever well there's somebody running around of a claim you know like doing massive overhead swings and shopping people up on Oh might have happened but I very much doubt it now there was a bit of a period where cheap crappy wall hanger katanas that would not be useful as a real swords were being used the stabbings again that was probably less of those stabbings happening than actually a kitchen knives but they were much higher profile or the news media jumped on it they then BAM the cheap crappy catarrhalis but decent Katona's were still allowed since the cheap crappy ones were banned and you have to spend over a certain amount on the katana really you don't really hear about music gangland killings anymore to you because for the money you'd have to pay to get a good katana you could buy lots of good kitchen knives or a few machetes or whatever else so there you go so regarding sort of gang crime UK stabbings and all stuff like that you will find the majority of stuff is from kitchen shops or hardware stores or you know garden centres things like that it's not um the scary assault knives and all stuff like this for the most part it is not the zombie knives or anything like that it is simply kitchen knives 95 plus percent of kitchen knives the rest would be very cheap end hunting knives and then machetes and axes and things like that I've also seen a lot of footage of baseball bats as well I guess we're trying to [ __ ] somebody not kill them but again what you tend to see is in most of stabbings it's either people on bikes or as a group of kids or teenagers on a bike you know and it's like a targeted killing they all get off their bikes you know run up or stab somebody a few times and run off or get back on their bikes and just like go off or it's where you see a car pull up and then people get out the car machetes and bats or axes very rarely do I see people in full armor waving swords around like lots of people keep telling me happens in the comments because I've got all these scary swords on my wall and I'm was deaf there will be a gangland killer you
