hey guys superhero bro Mike here and in today's video we take a look at the creepy tale of the man from the window as we check out the story and all endings from both the original game and its recently released sequel so sit back relax and let's explore the story of the man from the window in today's horror games explained video [Music] mama rabbit returns home after a late shift at bartleby's Bakery she has brought a box of donuts home for her and her son to share which she sits down on the dinner table alongside the keys to the apartment mama rabbit is weary after a long day at work and decides to head straight to bed as she is to be up early the next morning to cook her son breakfast before school but as she is about to relax on the sofa Junior rushes into the living room in a frenzy clinging to a mysterious book titled the man from the window realizing that this book has upset her son Mama snatches it from him and begins to Leaf through its Pages the book tells the story of a Sinister man and reads as follows the man from a window is quite the Odd Fellow with his big beady eyes and sunken nose why he just wants to say hello as he smiles from ear to ear the man wonders for quiet tonight through allies and backyards he goes making very sure to stay out of sight he silently peers through Windows searching for one thing and one thing only a new friend is all he wants for the man is very very lonely once you hear his tap tapping at the window you'll know he's found a friend to play for now you only have five minutes before he takes you away but do not fret for staying in one place is the man's only peeve keep him at Bay for another five minutes and he'll leave following these creepy passages are a series of Clues each detailing an area of a house the man will search for his victims and in what order these are randomized each time we play and include the bed the bathtub underneath the sink the refrigerator and beneath the dinner table mama rabbit asks Junior where he got the book from he tells of it he found it in the apartment after returning home from school and assumed it was a present from her the two then hear a tap tap tapping on the window and the mother instantly realizes they are in grave Danger The Man from the window is very real and the book has been left as a warning of his imminent arrival the duo now have five minutes to each find a hiding place before the man arrives to kidnap them in order to survive we must pay attention to the instructions found in the pages of a book the last two hiding spots are where mama and Junior must hide as these will be the final places the man will check as the man from a window has put five minutes to enter the apartment and claim his prey we must slow him down as much as possible so that he doesn't have time to check for final hiding spots thus allowing our hapless Heroes to survive for your deal there are a particular set of tasks that must be completed quickly in order to achieve the game's good ending first we collect at the keys and lock for front door then open the box of donuts but do not eat them thirdly push the sofa in front of the apartment door to block it next we hide Junior in one of the two final hiding spots then lock both the bedroom and bathroom doors before hiding mama in the final hiding spot the man from the window will now show up at exactly 2 am it will take him 30 seconds to unlock the door another minute will be wasted as he forces his way past the sofa blocking the entrance another minute is taken up by the box of donuts the man wolfing them down shortly after spotting them the remaining few minutes will be wasted as a man is held up by locked doors and empty hiding spots for five minutes pass and the man is unable to find his victims his time is up so as quickly as he entered the apartment he leaves once more slinking off into the night foreign [Music] possible endings unlockable in the man from the window the first is achieved if a man finds Junior while searching the house in this ending his mother is left devastated as she retells her sorrowful tale to local police [Music] he has to be nearby still ain't no way they've gotten this far this quick I'll go find him myself if I have to I ain't lying the man broke in and just took him I couldn't stop him please someone just find him please the second ending is unlocked if mama rabbit is captured by the man leaving poor Junior an orphan mama the man is gone you can come out now [Music] really he's gone mama you can stop hiding [Music] please please finally the game's good ending is granted if we successfully help Mama and Junior evade the man completely and live to tell the tale this is the Canon ending as we are granted a gold star for achieving it in this ending both mother and son live happily ever after at least for now he's gone don't worry hooray I knew you could do it oh no what Mama yay all the donuts and I wanted one oh my goodness child don't scare me like that I'll bring you some from work tomorrow okay okay and Junior huh no more cursed books or rights I ain't up to dealing with that again but what are we gonna do about the woman from the door The Who huh just kidding ah what am I gonna do with you huh [Music] our story continues now as we fast forward many years later Junior has now grown to adulthood and had a child of his own a daughter named Audrey mama rabbit now becoming grandmother rabbits while exploring the apartment we discover a retirement plaque congratulating Mama rabbits on 38 years of service at bartleby's Bakery this plaque also reveals her name Diane Junior calls his mother while on a break at work he works the night shift for the stall and Co Shipping Company the very same company you may remember from Zed technician's haunted Warehouse game artifacts and antiquity mama who is on babysitting Duty tells her son that she has ordered her an Audrey takeaway for dinner and they are currently awaiting its arrival and so Junior happy in the knowledge of his mother and daughter are both safe and well bids from good night after hanging up the phone there is a knock at the door mama rabbit assumes that this is for food delivery but upon opening the door finds a troubling Relic from her past the man from the window book Audrey's grandma has told her Tales of a man from the window before but this is the first time he has returned since the incident that occurred all those years ago with time ticking down mama rabbit decides to quickly go through the book with Audrey so they can band together to survive the man's attack this time the passages in the book have altered they read as follows time will pass the seasons may change we know that nothing can ever stay the same but still the man continues to play his Twisted game for the simplest of requests is all he's ever wanted in his unending search these dark streets he has haunted once night falls you'll know he's on the prowl keep far away else you'll meet a fate that is assuredly most foul a faint tapping at one's window has always been his Herald so spend these next five minutes wisely or you may find yourself suddenly imperiled now proceed with caution and proceed with haste for the man has learned that there's no time to waste things are a little trickier this time round the man grew angry and tore out the book pages that describe where he would check around the house so mama rabbit must search through the various rooms of her apartment to locate these missing pages and then reinserts them into the book by doing so she is left with two hiding spots that are not mentioned in the book and therefore knows where to hide both herself and her granddaughter Audrey [Music] once again there are three endings to unlock depending on how successful or unsuccessful the game of hide and seek turns out when the man arrives to check for hiding spots listed in the pages of a book if he finds and kidnaps mama rabbit then the following ending plays out [Music] hey Ma why is the front door open hello Audrey Audrey what happened and where's your grandma at Audrey come on I need you to talk to me was it the man from the window meanwhile if it is Audrey who is captured then we witness this ending instead the man looked inside the TV stand and then he finally found his new friend [Music] but time was exactly midnight when Junior received an unexpected call from home from the other side of a phone emitted a series of distorted and indiscernible sounds and after a few moments the line went dead knowing full well that something was amiss Junior immediately rushed home what would he find upon his return only time would tell however as before the game's true ending is only unlocked if we successfully managed to help Mama and Audrey hide until the man has exhausted his search doing so triggers the following ending foreign yeah and stay gone this time don't think you can just run in here and mess with Grandma and me because I'll Audrey honey don't be so scared it's just for takeout we ordered Audrey what am I gonna do with that child [Music] and with that we have come to the end of this look at the story and endings of both games from the man in the windows series it is still unclear exactly who this man is or where he originates from given that the man is only afforded a short window of time to conduct his hunt and that he may only appear at certain times it suggests that he is a supernatural entity of some sort a specter who enters a realm of the living for just long enough to try and claim a new friend meanwhile the book seems to be delivered by a guardian angel of sorts left on the doorstep of a potential victim in order to ready them for the man's arrival the book Giver
