"The Song Burning in the Embers" Full Initial Reaction & Breakdown — Arlecchino Animated Short

uh hello so as I'm speaking right now hoiv just dropped one of their meanest absolutely meanest animated cut scenes that I've ever seen probably their best 2D animation for genin impact they've done really good 3D ones however in terms of 2D this might be the uh their best that they have made so far ironically this came out as I am like literally right now as I am working on the upcoming jungly erosion Theory and you're going to be able to tell exactly when it came out uh when you watch that video in a few days from position right now anyway let's get into the video because it does have a number of interesting details that I want to share with you before I forget to do so this is going to be a good one by the way okay right off the bat I have something to say I told you this trailer is thick or this animated cut scene you see this blue fire I okay there is so much that I can say about this blue fire alone that I am not joking and you know me if you've been watching this channel you know me I could sit for 20 minutes only talking about this Frame right here I don't want to do that I want to move on because this is not about this blue fire the trailer is not about it blue fire when you think about it I'm just going to say this very simply and very quickly think about celes think about Primal Elemental energy that is not associated with the conventional Seven Elements think about like the blue energy Primal light that you see in D's malium that you see on D's constructs his machines this is the energy that Alan Guillotine from fonan studied extensively throughout his life and the fact that it appears here before turning into flowers as you're going to see later I find it quite symbolically interesting especially considering that it is surrounded with what looks like a sea of stars obviously that's not the case it could just be me overthinking artistic uh artistic design for this animated cut scene but it is it is worth pointing out nonetheless just to point it out you are born you see how the primal fire turns into flowers or I say Primal fire how the blue fire turns into flowers Primal fire is something else we'll talk about it when Natan comes out this is interesting to me I want to make a video about this specific uh thing but once again this trailer is about the foule so let's move on to the foule into this world all alone but here in the house of the Hearth you will grow up to be strong your goal is but once again this plushy which represent the kids obviously the kids of the House of the Hearth they came out of those flowers and in that sense you could interpret it as being born of uh raw Elemental energy once again this is my initial don't take take this with heavy lots of salt take this with a dead sea amount of salt but when I see this my brain is immediately associated with the Primal fire and these children could be special they could have for example for example a connection to the light realm the elemental realm from the blue light or blue fire is to learn to compete to defeat all your brothers and sisters in battle and be and you can IM actually let me replay this just so that you will grow up to be strong your goal is to learn to compete to defeat all your brothers and sisters in battle and become king so right off the back this sets the tone for what's going on in this orphanage you can see a bunch of kids they look really innocent but then you have the contrasting Nar narrator who is as you're going to see right [Music] now this is the previous Nave she's the one narrating that fairy tale and the way she says it she is essentially uh grooming them into becoming weapons for the FI that's the main idea where's perw didn't she want to hear the story also aro's real name is perw apparently perw uh kind of similar to per and Harry not too much I I we'll talk about that when arino herself comes out in version 4.6 these two little girls are special children that have been taken by the previous Nave by The foui Who is called mother I believe she this one where is so I believe this is called mother arino refers to her as mother later on and those two these two children looking at this on surface level you can immediately see parallels with two other institutions the first is the naris and cro orphanage this is the one where Randa pator Jacob Baker Maran guillotin and uh what was his name alentine belonged to that orphanage was in Fontan right this orphanage is also in Fontan and you can immediately see a parallel between those two both are taking kids and they are raising them to turn the well the narciss and cro Institute was not raising them into weapons they were raising them in honor of the hydro archon aeria which is why the ois was the head of the institution but this this one is raising them to become uh weapons for the foui and the second parallel that we can draw is the the orphanage from the Conan Crimson Moon Dynasty which is the one that is obviously immediately inspiring this one in fact I suspect maybe maybe yes maybe no probably no but maybe this woman mother the previous Nave has some connections to cona not necessarily she is Conan but she might have influenced her uh pra yeah influenced her practice from the conans want to hear the story excuse me mother she's doing a funeral for her spider and here we can see immediately from what the blonde girl said the one with the I'm not sure if it's a mandarin or an orange it doesn't really matter who gives a [ __ ] she we are immediately associating uh arino perw her name is perw perw whatever we are immediately associating perw with spiders and that is obvious I mean I when when I was reacting to the trailer a few days ago the version 4.6 trailer I did say that she looks like a spider I saw actually I want to talk about this but I also said that she is inspired by seo's lady butterfly and do I want to say this right now you know what when arino comes out I'll make a video about her and we'll talk and we will discuss her General design however I do want to say this very quickly I saw some people saying that arino is not a spider because she doesn't have four legs or four appendages and spiders generally have those I I'm not sure if legs is even the correct terminology I don't think it is but she is a spider she does have four legs she has three on her back on connected to her spine and then she has two which her her scythes she hold she holds a scythe in her right hand and a scythe in her left hand those are her other two legs so yeah she does have four anyway let's move on obviously arino spider imagery perhaps butterfly imagery but we will get to that in a future video and also Angelic imagery a lot of it some people did not don't seem to agree right now but uh once again when I make the arino video you will see what I mean lots of angelic imagery that child especially Fallen Angelic imagery child maybe her curse is flaring up again clairy see to her her eyes look like pretzel breads or smoked potatoes one of the two I cannot unsee this whenever I look at AR leino I'm not joking I'm not when whenever I look at this woman I always see pretzels or smoked potatoes I can't bro oh okay actually I want to see something hold up maybe her her spider that child maybe her so you can see the black curse on her hands it's growing and creeping in which is interesting H so this is her initial up again CL her initial days before she gave into the curse I [Music] suppose I got cake by the way this girl she's the one who well I actually I didn't make a video about her didn't I I made a post about her where I said that she reminds me a lot of fairy tales from especially Scandinavian and English folklore and she still does by the way she will be to some degree relevant to our Lino's upcoming story quest in 4.6 I don't want to jump any to any conclusions about her yet however I will say this she reminds me only reminds me in terms of Aesthetics of Alice and yes when I say Alice I mean C's mother and yes I know we don't know what she looks like however in terms of thematic idea when we think of aliceon in Wonderland and fairy tales and old CH old children folklore fairy tales specifically when I say old I mean like 18 1800s 1700s I mainly Envision things like this and once again I will be making an analysis about AR leino's design especially her uh especially the way she's inspired by Angels spiders and butterflies and we will discuss all of that when she comes out want some [Music] sure they're using a cross which is interesting I'm not going to overthink this you must know spiders don't eat cake actually I'm going to overthink this because I'm going to talk about that one Capitano comes out or not Capitano when I'm when I get into anyway from from arle Kino herself they do have certain superpowers to them or I suppose uh unnatural power to them that are even Beyond uh even beyond what we currently understand regarding Elemental energy it seems and uh yeah I think the the reason she's cutting herself this girl is because of that do mothers usually argue with their [Music] daughters never mind I'm very sorry I just realize what's going on I think she was arguing with the Nave and the Nave uh beat her up up which is why yeah okay I made a mistake my bad so the I'm not going to cut that part out of the video because I do want to I do want to emphasize the fact that these are superpowered children however I made a mistake the bruises on herself she was not cutting herself I apologize my fault she fought with the previous sve arino literally says this right now or perw I suppose from now on I'm going to have trouble calling her either perere or arino just like we do with Ajax child intellia anyway the proof the bruises came because the previous Nave mother beat her up and uh the medical equipment here they were just stitching her that's why that's why I see blood they were just stitching her and uh cleaning her wounds and knowing that context this liquid here is probably like ISO ethyl prop ISO ethyl propenol or ethyl propol something like that used to in disinfect wounds [Music] or just some generic disinfector they probably didn't think about it too much do mothers usually argue with their [Music] daughters I heard that in snn colored light dances in the sky at night they're talking about the Aurora in snia we see it I think we do during Senora's funeral when uh when uh we winter night SLO I think we get to see a glimpse of the Aurora and S when we're grown up shall we go see it [Music] together this is very clean transition very used to it we are we all are used to this type of trans transition from a really wholesome moment into to this you will be a great king what's interesting is that uh the mother the first Nave the previous one she does tell the children about the fact that they need to become king and you know what let's go back I want to show you the plushies you see how in the story book The Plushies are all dead and we have a plushy that resembles our Le know sitting on the throne right this is foreshadowing what's going to what happened what you just saw right now which is AR Laino killing all the other plushies killing all the special children killing all the uh the house children and becoming the king because the only way to survive in this world is to kill all of your enemies I think that's the message which the which mother which the Nave was trying to send to those children the strongest survives and sits on a mountain of corpses of their enemies and which is funny because uh this is very reminiscent to the archon war and how the archons killed all the other gods and sat on their corpses so that they can Ascend to Celestia and claim A Shard of the third descender the nois uh do I have something else to say I do actually have something else to say about this but I will talk about it in my upcoming jeang Le video in a few days when when we talk about aaha yeah so uh yeah wait for that okay I'm sorry thank you I'm going to be honest with I'm not sure if the or like you see this orange with the sword planted on the ground this is supposed to represent the blond kid this kid right here you see the blonde kid she's also hear the story yeah this kid you see the orange on her hair this is supposed to be this sword planted with the orange here or Mandarin whatever it is it's supposed to represent that kid and uh metaphorically say that she died I'm not sure if she died and I I this is this is completely what I'm saying right now is completely a hunch I'm not sure if she died just saying maybe Future character Maybe not maybe she died probably died I might be wrong [Music] I should have pruned this flower long ago these flowers are interesting because I think they're called something Bell lumus something Bell yeah they appear in pasi's quest and they appear also in a quest with a meloine and a Talking Machine it's the one where sandron cuts out the tongue of a anyway whatever it doesn't matter oh not waited till it wilts how grotesque wouldn't you agree so here we're seeing the true nature of the Nave which his mother this woman she obviously orchestrated this entire outcome from the very beginning with her book with the way she she handled raising the children how grotesque not a very good mother not a very not a very loving mother if I would say so myself wouldn't you agree by the way keep in mind what I just said not a very loving mother you're going to going to see and here is just absolutely amazing animation so I'm going to let you watch it once again because you probably already saw this trailer if you are watching this video so enjoy innocence and kindness are such beautiful qualities sadly mind okay for a moment I thought it was something else actually I did not notice this earlier when I first saw it you can see these flowers symbolizing the dead children which are Lino probably killed some of them if not all of them probably I'm I'm not going to they probably killed they probably all just killed each other and as she is dying the curse is creeping in more and more on her and you can see the black uh the black shapes that have grown so iconic to AR Lino today are now manifesting on her hand or per Weare if we're going to call her that [Music] also the fact that children the death of the children is symbolized by these wilting flowers does take me back to this fire and how the fire the blue fire which I I said represents unaligned Elemental or raw Elemental energy turns into flowers and the plushies this world all alone which are the children are born from these flowers interesting don't you think I'm not sure what to make of it right now however the children's death is represented by the wilting of the flowers and they are born again the plushies represent the children the children are born from flowers that initially start as a spark of blue fire which again blue fire you know what I'm just going to say it blue fire in my mind immediately reminds me of neong I think this is his power I'm not even joking so these might be very very special Children [Music] Here surrender let your mother guide you and you shall become the one true king [Music] [Music] Mother by the way mother you can see how good this animation is incredibly smooth and keep in mind this is not not to obviously the animators who made this are absolutely amazing but this is not even ufu table animating this so imagine how good the Gan anime is going to be when it comes out obviously they're probably going to be waiting until the story ends before they release that because they don't want to spoil people but yeah very very well made [Music] Trail my answer will never fall the way [Music] she killed the harbinger [Music] these are the Aurora lights that uh that she was talking about with that girl who may or may not be actually dead because she's apparently going to be relevant in arle Kino's story Quest I'm going to say she's dead once again I don't want to make too many assumptions about her right now but I'm going to say that she's dead however due to her powers she might live on some way or another because once again these are all really special children the defo we took her majesty the Sarita has decreed as follows I hereby pardon your crimes and bestow upon you a new name this title and its Legacy of Bloodshed are now yours to Bear my poor mad cursed [Music] okay so this is why I made the video Let's uh let's talk about this scene very interesting for a number of reasons first of all you remember how scar deleted himself fromo which means he shouldn't be in the memories of people well look who it is look who we can see in the memory of arino now there are several ways to explain this either number one this is taking this animated cut scene is a memory from arino before scaros deleted himself which is implied towards the end as you're going to see or this is told from the point of view of hoyse in general which means uh soul is completely irrelevant to the cut scene because this is being told from the overarching point of view of the story or the third option which is the one that is least likely in my opinion is the fact that arino could still remember Scaro even after he deleted himself I don't think this is the case it's a possibility so I decided to mention it but if I am being completely honest I think it's one of the first one of the initial two either it is told From arino perspective before Karam deleted himself as you're going to see later there's evidence to support that or this is told from the perspective of the uh overarching story we can see Senora of course actually this is interesting because it tells us how old AR Latino is she's approximately around 400 years old probably a little bit more most likely a little bit more which is around 400 years old and the main reason I say this is because scar MOS did not join the fatou immediately and the fact that he is present here means that there was enough of a Time gap between uh the the uh birth of arino scaros joining the fetoui which took around 80 years if I have to estimate because Ryden did not actually make him immediately and then the first Nave was killed by arino around somewhere between 50 to 100 years later and then arino took her place which means arino is around 400 years old obviously we can see Pierro and Capitano we know Senora is over 500 years old roselene Capitano she's actually standing towards Capitano which is interesting we'll talk about Capitano later I do not think he is uh rosalin's Lover by the way don't worry that's not what I'm implying whatsoever however Capitano and Pio are founders of the fetoui they are ancient members very powerful members five probably more than 500 years old and yeah the rest is normal it's mainly about scaros to be honest pardon your crimes and bestow upon you a new name this title and its Legacy of Bloodshed are now yours to Bear my poor mad cursed na the way Pierro refers to alino in this in this line my poor mad cursed Nave is quite interesting especially when you take into account the relationship between Pierro and Harley Quinn in the Comedia de because both of them are lovers of colomina but anyway um final thoughts I do want to say this the fact that the other harbingers are not present does not necessarily mean that they have not been recruited yet and bestow upon you a new name this title and its Legacy of Bloodshed are now yours to Bear my poor mad cursed name I'm assuming this is f come with me I will raise you as my child like a strict and unfeeling father so you see how she says she's going to raise him like a child like a strict and unfeeling father this has to do with precisely what I said right over here when I talked about how the Nave was a really terrible mother arino instead of repeating her mistakes she decides to become a strict and uncaring father rather than to actually hurt the children come with me so so she dissociates she disassociates herself from the children instead which is a a nice little detail to add at the very end I will raise you as my child like a strict and unfeeling father but she does say she's going to raise him as her child not her King not her uh I suppose plushy whatever the [ __ ] the mother was trying to do yeah arino definitely way better than the previous Nave at least in terms of the way she in terms of her affection towards the children now in terms of who she actually is I don't think she is necessarily a good person at all she probably has committed a number of crimes [Music] historically but yeah really good trailer absolutely amazing if I would say so myself also this scene right here is probably setting up or teasing the upcoming uh AR Latino story quest with frin in 4.6 this is essentially setting up the stage for them Father once again arino very good character I am uh I am impressed by how much effort they put into her there are a number of things that I have not mentioned because I am saving them for a future for future videos not a single future video a number of future videos obviously right now the upcoming video is going to be about jongli and aaha and the light realm and fujin and Ling Yuan but we have a Capitano video cooking and we have
