The Rusty Pearl + A Junkin Honey Hole

hey everybody it's me Kayla Friday and welcome back to our channel here at little Cahaba Junction today I have a short little fun video for you guys I know that you have heard me and Aunt Penny talk many many times about the rusty Pearl the rusty Pearl is one of our honey holes where we find all sorts of good good junk for a fantastic price um and I figured it was time that we just come over here and I'll show you guys what we're talking about and just show you around it is in Vincent Alabama so we are out in the boonies as we say so um Vincent is a very small town much like where I'm from good people live here the rusty Pearl is actually right next to a giant cornfield it's beautiful it's just a small little house that she has converted into her own Duncan shop so I just wanted to kind of show y'all guys around I'll make sure to post the address in the description box below and y'all make sure that you stop by and see Ashley over at the rusty Pearl and let her know that I sent you so let's go take a look around I know you're gonna love it so it is right here off the highway here in Vincent you turn off of Highway 280 and like I said I will put the address in the description box below but it is such a sweet little place and look at her fence that she's made out of old bed posts and bed frames isn't it so sweet sweet even the porch is overflowing with good junk y'all can't wait to show y'all I know you're gonna love it and like I said car prices are absolutely unbeatable and I'm going to show y'all what I mean when we get in here [Music] thank you [Music] thank you [Music] so for example this whole set of Ironstone saucers is only eight dollars and they were gorgeous I kind of wish I'd have picked them up for myself but I decided to leave a few things behind for y'all to come and Shop I couldn't be super greedy but everything is so reasonably priced y'all y'all are not going to believe it foreign [Music] she had a whole little section over here of red white and blue items and of course I had to pick up a few of them and Iron Stone everywhere and they're all marked so reasonably for example this Ironstone picture was only four dollars and it has lots of crazing it was adorable I started to buy and just turn it around without the Little Flower showing for the summer but I decided to leave it for y'all and this little blue set for 15 was so cute it would be perfect in a summer vignette so if you're nearby you've got to come and see it for yourself because I know I've missed a few things but again her prices are out of sight you're gonna love it and I just really want to support this small business because I know it has brought me and pennies so much joy through the years and we absolutely love shopping with Ashley [Music] thank you thank you [Music] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] this little Nook of the store belongs to our friend Tiffany who is the curator of the cranky Queen and no she is not cranky whatsoever she's absolutely the sweetest thing and she has wonderful taste this little piece was adorable it was only twenty dollars it did have a chip in it but it was so aged and adorable perfect for display and she had tons of cute patriotic items I mean just look at this adorable baby shoes you put together is this not the sweetest thing ever I think she also has a booth over at Sweet Pickens I could be wrong so Tiffany if I'm wrong I'm sorry but she has some of the sweetest stuff and she also told me while I was there she was there restocking her booth and she said that we need to come see her home and do a home tour so I hope we get to do that soon I know it's going to be beautiful [Music] this little area had tons of more masculine items that would be perfect for a man cave or if you just like this type of Decor lots of red white and blue over here this little four dollar red diamond coffee would be perfect for your coffee bar and just all sorts of stuff I left with a ton and I can't wait to show y'all my haul [Music] thank you [Music] thank you foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] section was perfect for spring and summer I loved her little setup over here these glasses were only three dollars each and they were so cute perfect to put in your kitchen in your vignettes I was trying to be careful because y'all I almost knocked over everything about a hundred times but in addition to all of the fun stuff she carries she also has some handmade items like soaps that people make some candles and she had a gentleman that came in that day who is a local florist who was making fresh floral bouquets that you can pick up while you're shopping so if you needed a quick gift idea that would be perfect and they were so so cute and priced very well like I said guys everything in here is so affordable you're not going to break the bank and you're going to leave with something that you love and trust me me and Penny never leave empty-handed we may try but the more I was in here filming the more stuff I kept grabbing and adding to my pile and you're gonna love everything that I got or I think you will I absolutely love it and like I said there's no right or wrong in decorating you go with what catches your eye and you're going to be happy so just fill your home with things that you love and that bring you Joy [Music] oh [Music] thank you okay friends once again we are out here in my buzzer-ish garage this garage is a catch-all it has everything but our vehicles in it has all of my home decor that's not seasonal down here I'm going to be working on organizing that and all our storage all of our Etsy merchandise is stored out here on my packing supplies lawnmower so I'm just a buzzer but I just wanted to share with y'all everything that I purchased today at or actually yesterday because I'm filming our haul the day after the video um because it was getting too dark by the time I got home yesterday but I wanted to show y'all everything I got starting with this adorable vintage washboard I thought it was so cute I love it and it is perfect for a laundry room um be great for a gallery wall I absolutely love it and this will be available for purchase on Etsy and our Etsy shop also I purchased this adorable Prince Albert tin who is only nine dollars I thought he would be perfect for Fourth of July and summer I love the red and I love how chippy and Rusty he is I thought he was a really good buy and he is the larger 10. so I had to grab here also I got this amazing set of vintage flash cards I thought they were absolutely adorable and perfect for our summer Decor gotta share some with Aunt peony I'm also going to be listing bundles of these on our Etsy shop and I try to keep my prices Fair on Etsy um I have to make some profit obviously um but I try not to mark it up a ton but Etsy is a way that I just kind of make a little extra spending money for all my aunt pennies adventures and if you've purchased from us thank you so so much um I really appreciate the support and then I've got these beautiful Edition ones so these are in the black font and those are in the red but they both came in their original boxes and they were such a good deal I had to grab some I love sticking these in flower frogs and bowls I'm just putting a little twine around them they look so cute in your vignettes then I purchased this super sweet little apron I thought this was so cute and summery I love the stitching on it I thought it was so sweet and it's in good shape but I love the colors and it's got a little pocket here on the front this will also be available for purchase over in our Etsy shop foreign I found this beautiful Bowl um this is a USA brand and you can see all the crazing all the really pretty discoloration I thought it was really pretty it was only three dollars and just a perfect addition to my collection of iron stones and I found this sweet little picture I have one very similar to this and this is some USA China but I thought he was so cute perfect with a little Flag stuck in them um love the green for spring but this will also be available in our Etsy shop just so y'all can know what'll be coming I haven't posted a ton of vintage to Etsy lately I've been mostly doing t-shirts but um I'm trying to get some more stock we ended up stealing a ton of the things that I was um okay getting rid of over at petals um this past spring or in April so I don't really have a ton left in my own collection that I want to part with so I'm trying to get some more inventory to share with y'all but then I purchased this really really sweet Ironstone Bowl it's got our English Iron Stone stamp here it's so pretty you can see all the crazing this is what we call crazing all the crackles and discoloration it's just a really pretty Bowl to be perfect to put in the hutch I don't know what I'll do with it but I loved it so I had to grab that and then I also found this sweet Iron Stone piece you can see a little bit of the crackling and crazy it was only two dollars and it stamped as well you can really see the crazing on this side but um can't really tell so much with the glare on the camera but there's our stamp this is English Ironstone so pretty then I found this really cute Swan tastes really heavy and pretty really pretty brass piece this will be available over on our Etsy shop because I have one very similar already in my own collection but I know that a lot of you also enjoy brass as well so I snag that and last but not least of the Smalls I purchased two flower frogs they're so cute these look perfect with like vintage flash cards um vintage photos anything you want to put in them but they are so so cute and these will also be available over on our Etsy Shop I'll probably sell them individually as opposed to a bundle but that's all the smalls that I purchased over at the rusty Pearl and as you can see her prices are phenomenal um she always has a really good selection of stuff and in addition to Ashley who is the owner she has several people that are vendors there as well it's not set up really like boots but they may have like a little closet area or a big piece of furniture that they stage all their stuff on one of our friends Tiffany that is the curator for the cranky Queen she has a booth there and her stuff is super cute and I just thought about it I didn't even show y'all what I got from her it's already in my hutch so let me go get it okay I'm back I had to go get these out of my Hutch but I wanted to use them last night and just kind of see what they would look like but I purchased this adorable set I've never seen anything like this but they're um like little measuring cups and they are so stinking cute but I thought that would be perfect for display over in the hutch with some little Flags in them for the summer and um the set of all these were 15 which I thought was super reasonable and they are adorable I can't wait to use them I already had them in my Hutch with a tag on them so in addition to all of those really cute Smalls I also got this um I won this particular item as a bid and Ashley posts on Tuesdays and Fridays so and we have bids for 24 hours and I won this in a bid and I also won my beautiful Church attendance sign from the rusty Pearl so that came from her also and that's the highest thing I've ever paid for we bid up to a hundred dollars on that church attendant sign we all wanted it so bad and I'm so grateful that I won it because I have been looking looking for one for years but I got this really adorable garden cart for only 16 you're gonna love it so here it is it's just like an old vintage cart and it's super Rusty and it's adorable but it's in really good shape all the metal is attached and really sturdy but I plan on putting some wooden crates and putting red geraniums in this with some Flags sticking out and I think it'll be adorable over in the flower beds so I'm so excited it was definitely worth every bit of 16 dollars and I'm so excited to use it and again y'all please ignore my little crusty garage I told you I'll keep it real and I buzzard well guys that is pretty much it for today's video I hope you enjoyed our little tour around the rusty Pearl again if you have not been you have to go if you're ever down in our area again she is in Vincent Alabama she's right off 280 Highway 280 it's one of our main highways that um runs through Birmingham Chelsea Inverness all those areas if you're familiar with the summit that's on Highway 280 but anyway if you're ever in the Vincent area you've got to stop by and check out the rusty Pearl make sure you look in the description box below for her hours she also works I believe a second job so she's open um not like traditional business hours it's usually in the afternoons and she's also open on Saturdays so make sure you look at her business hours so that she'll be open when you go if Ashley is too far away you can reach out to her on Facebook I'm not sure how she does as far as shipping and things of that nature but I do know if you're local and you're not able to get to her shop when she's open that she does bids on her Facebook page so go follow her over at the rusty Pearl over on Facebook and every Tuesday and Friday night she does bid items so she'll place a item up for bed and we'll have 24 hours to bid on it and whoever has the highest bid obviously is the winner and you can do porch pickup within I believe five days so that's another really great way to shop all of her awesome stuff and that's where I've won that really cute little garden card and I'm excited to use that but I just want to say thank you to Ashley for allowing us to film we always love coming and shopping with you and like I said make
