today we are at our absolute favorite show tell them where we're at Penny we are ready to spend some money we've got our little buggy and we're so excited it's we're a small thing but it's 110 outside but I still brought a flannel to be in the spirit so we're going to take y'all along with us so exciting [Music] your eyes are heavy with the weight of the world what's in the life you never could foreign [Music] foreign [Music] Lord have mercy I think this one about did me in we didn't get to film as much as usual because it was about 105. you can look I have no makeup on I got a perfect I look rough you got a purpose everybody could show them what you got I got a few but more bowls imagine that one like this another one that kind of matches it the Skeeters are biting me alive again every time we come here got a cute little miniature green one we got that one at Michelle's Booth we stopped by on the way back and got that from Michelle house of five at Trussville Antiques and Interiors and I got me a cute little schnauzer uh from Emory Mercantile I thought he was pretty he's like a little wall vase so cute got him there ain't made up they're they're swarming y'all got two creamers I just thought those are so cute they were only two dollars two dollars each and what was this this is a flower sack a real authentic flower sack from I think she said Germany or French I don't remember what she said but I think I'm gonna try to make either some pillows or some Christmas stockings out of it how much do you pay for that that was 40. cute and then her boobs got a stack of books oh real cute oh you got it really cute Beach a little our little footstool I guess you would call it yeah and Chippy very very chippy so cute y'all mother cameras moving around a lot because the mosquitoes are literally eating me alive yes every time I got two more of these turpentine pots so cute I love those I got this really cute old wagon I think it would be pretty with pumpkins in it yeah Christmas time have a tree or something in it so if you set like on a table top so cute it was 40. that was one of my splurges I had a few I had a few splurges today she's got an Ironstone picture I love that one look at all that crazy so it's so pretty got another real cute aged pot it's got some painting on the bus back but I think I can get it off probably I'll turn it that way yeah just soak it or get you some picture that matches one of the ones that we got on the longest yard sale I think that would be cute with some of my green and white bowls and those and that's it oh we gotta go show them the big thing nice Splurge that's what I got I got a cute chippy I think it would be called a Jelly cabinet it's so cute little white cabin I said that's gonna be that's that's an excuse to buy more stuff that's right see I was looking for one exactly exactly like this I love it and I bought one earlier I'll show it to y'all when I get home and then I saw this one and I was so upset because I'd already paid for my other one I got this for a hundred I didn't think that was too bad no it's good good price good price and I got a really good deal on mine too but anyway and peso Penny bought it and then I'll just come get it from her that's right and I get tired of it I'll pass it on to Kayla that's right but you did good today yeah I did I'm tired of I feel like I've run a marathon yes and I'll show them everything I got when I get home because Penny's got to go in look I gotta get she's killing the mosquitoes okay friends I am finally back home and as always I absolutely love vintage picking but it's normally the fall show is normally in October late September October and there were some rumors that um someone else had rented the fairgrounds where vintage picking is held for the entire month of October um so vintage picket was held the last week of August and it is the hottest week of Summer um so it was 102 outside today and inside the buildings that vintage picking was at I guarantee it was every bit of 110 degrees like I I literally could not breathe I felt so sorry for the vendors but um it wasn't anybody's fault or anything but um it was just not the best week to have it but you got to do what you got to do when you do these types of shows but because of that I didn't get as much footage and we didn't stay as long it was just so so unbearably hot I'm just pouring sweat right now because it's so hot outside and um it's pretty much an outside Market part of the rooms are inside but they're in old metal or older metal buildings that don't really have air in them so it's just so unbearably hot it was like an oven in there but despite the heat it was an absolutely gorgeous show with Gorgeous vendors and I got some really neat stuff so I'm gonna jump right in and show you the first thing that I got is this really cute Bowl it was 25 it's the smallest version of the ones that I have so I have the large medium and now the small it was 25 I absolutely loved it and Penny didn't really tell what she paid for stuff because it was so hot and we were getting torn up by mosquitoes so um but she got a really good deal on most things so I have this beautiful this is actually a Johnson Brothers England Ironstone um beautiful gravy boat and I paid six bucks for it absolutely gorgeous and then from Tristan I always got to buy something from Tristan my girl at Downham chippy I absolutely love her and her pieces I bought this really sweet hat from her I love the ribbon on it I'm gonna hang this above my TV in the living room I have that top shutter filled with different types of vintage hats some of them are not vintage though I had to just grab some at Walmart until I found more vintage ones but this one's gonna be perfect up there so it'll be great and I think I'm just going to leave those hats up there year round because I just really love them um I think they're super cute yes they're more summery but I don't care I just love the texture of them I think they look really good hung up there on that shutter and it's just really hard to change out things on that shutter it's a little dangerous and I have to stand on the TV stand and my husband will probably murder me or divorce me if I fall through that thousand dollar TV um and it was a thousand dollars like years ago so there's no telling what a new one would cost to replace it so honey we gotta make that one last as long as we can so I can't be sitting on TV and fall through it but I paid 15 for this and I know that seems kind of like a lot but um several people had vintage hats and they were marked really high so I was happy to pay Tristan this and I think it was an adorable hat and um I also want to do a shout out to remember yesterday antiques they are the absolute cutest cutest Booth um we followed them over on Instagram so if you don't follow them follow remember yesterday antiques they do like Square sales all the time and I have purchased things from them penny has purchased things from them they're very reliable girls they ship very very well package things very well and they are very quick with shipping so I absolutely love them Penny bought her cabinet from them and I purchased this really really cute bottle I think it'll be so cute with my ginger beer bottles I think I paid either 12 or 15 dollars for that and then I got I've always wanted one of these but I've never found one for a good price but I found this Iron Stone Soap Dish and it's gonna look perfect in our bathroom in the front bathroom the guest bathroom I thought it was so cute and it was either 12 or 15 also love that I purchased another Dundee jar it was um 42. and I know that seems like a lot but these are anywhere these are ridiculously high online this one has absolutely no chips or cracks it's an excellent excellent condition so I have another one that I paid more than that for of this size and then I have this one so this was a great deal at forty two dollars in my opinion if you find any for less then you're doing a really great share with me but I purchased this from house Haberdashery and her Booth was so so stinking cute loved everything she had so first so for some reason you watch this video I love your both as well um then I found this candle it's by modern Forestry it's called Nightfall and she was trying to tell me what the scent profile was but um it smells really good it's like Patchouli Orange Cedar um it almost has a coffee smell I don't know it's it's all sorts of yummy goodness mix into one and they're 100 soy candles which are the candles that I used to pour I still pour them for myself but the 100 soy candles um they burn so much longer um than other types of waxes or in to me they do they last a lot longer they have a really good scent throw so love love this candle um I wanted to purchase more from her website and then our precious precious friend at dwell and flourish um she was a local girl from Columbiana she actually worked or actually went to school I think or their friends with my boss at work and she had a little shop in Columbiana but I believe now her shop is in Auburn um but she's dwell and flourish make sure you go and follow her um this was her first time I think doing vintage picking but she did absolutely wonderful people were snatching her stuff and it makes my heart happy when I see my friends succeed so I hope that you sell out girl but Penny bought some really cute things from her that little stool that she bought was from her and also that really gorgeous crazed Iron Stone pitcher but I bought this really pretty old um hanger wall hanger from her this set of racks and it was so stinking cute it was 35 marked down so I thought it was so cute I absolutely love the racks I don't know where I'm gonna put it yet um but I loved it and I've always wanted one with this style of racks so I bought it and I had to support our friend because she's so so precious and lastly we had to swing by Michelle's Booth over at Trussville Antiques and Interiors if you're watching this hey Michelle and Michelle was not a vendor this time at vintage pick and she was taking the season off just to focus on her booths and her family I understand a hundred percent um but we still had to go support Michelle even though she wasn't at the Vintage picking so Michelle we still went and supported you so for Michelle's Booth I bought this little Croc it was 14. I love it it's going to be so cute with um be super cute with some vintage um silverware out of it spindles feathers I'm not real sure be really cute for fall with feathers or I also thought about using this to pour and I said I pour my own candles to pour a candle into because it's the perfect size so I may even do that and then I can just reuse it after the candle is done but that's everything I bought except so penny the cabinet that Penny bought was exactly the one I was looking for I have been wanting to purchase a cabinet um to go in the corner I've been telling y'all over there by the live in the living room by the TV where I have that little cabinet from Angie Barnett it was brown and I painted it white I've been wanting a cabinet with shelves so that I can display my decor and I saw one that was around 400 and I was like I just I can't personally afford that um if you can that's wonderful but I could not sleep at night no and if I paid 400 for a cabinet so I did not get it and a couple booths down this gorgeous cabinet I'm going to show it up close and personal here in a second but it was 175 and it was in much better shape I love the color I think it's going to go great in our house with our color scheme but then I found the cabinet that Penny purchased and I was like this is the exact cabinet that I wanted and it was a hundred bucks so I was a little bummed because I had already purchased this cabinet and I'm not about to go back and tell that lady I want my money back or something that's just so sketchy and rude so I told Penny if she ever gets rid of that cabinet I want it but I think I'm Really Gonna Love This cabinet um I love the double open doors I think it'll be so cute and I'm going to show y'all what it looks so this is the cabinet it was in really good shape obviously it's old but I love the latch there on it and I love the little double open doors I think those will look so cute with like some vintage Christmas lights hanging over them for um Christmas or like little hooks over them with um really cute vintage stockings or something but this is going to go in the living room by the TV where that little white cabinet is and I love that it has the shelf so I can display all of my treasures and I just absolutely love it and it is so so heavy it's solid wood um it's hard as a rock me and my husband had to bring it in but it is so so cute so this was my big purchase of the day but I think I'm gonna absolutely love it I'm gonna stick the color in or stick it in there and I think I'm gonna like the color as well I think it'll look really cute with a lot of my iron stone in there the white popping against the gray um and just lots of fun stuff because I have so many goodies as you can see and I run out of place to display them so anyway that was my big purchase for the day and I love it but I also really really love Penny's cabinet let me know what you think you think I you think that this is going to work best for me or do you think I should have bought Penny's cabinet actually don't answer that because if it's Penny's cabin I'm gonna be sad but I really think it's going to be super cute I love it so I'm out here on my back porch now it's been a little time go go outside go play he is Coop he's been cooped up all day he is he's ready to play but anyway I love you guys so much thank you so much for tuning in be blessed just know that I love you and Penny loves you but most importantly God loves you and Jesus is standing right there with open arms ready to pick you up and dust you off no matter what the world has put you through because this world is a very rough rough place and with him it's not perfect but we're going somewhere better but I'm gonna sit out here with my dog it's finally a little bit cooler and I'm gonna listen to these cicadas and these frogs and I'm gonna go shower and hit the sack love y'all so much be blessed
