tonight amen because my sister preached in such a way on last night i think tonight should be called the altar call amen but what can we say an incredible anointing and a gift to the body of christ amen come on clap your hands and make noise amen from evangelists prophet amen marissa pharaoh we're grateful listen i'm going to run to the word of the lord amen to get in and out of the way uh that there is something the lord wants to say tonight in the book of lamentation chapter three [Music] who can stand against the lord [Music] victory belongs to jesus victory belongs to him [Music] victory belongs to jesus victory belongs to him no one will say it again everybody who can stand [Music] gets the key no one can no one [Music] victory belongs to jesus victory belongs to him [Music] victory belongs to jesus victory belongs to him lamentation chapter three [Music] there's a considerable amount of reading here beginning in verse one the bible says the prophet's anguish and hope [Music] limitation three verse one says i am a man who has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath he has led me and made me walk in darkness and not in light surely he has turned his hand against me time and time again throughout the day he's aged my flesh and my skin he's broken my bones he has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and woe he has sent set me in dark places and led like a dog of long ago he has hedged me in so that i cannot get out he has made my chains heavy even when i cry and shout he shuts out my prayer he has blocked my ways with hume storm he has made my paths crooked he has been to me a bear lying in way like a lion in ambush he has turned aside my ways and turned toward me in pieces he has made me desolate he has bent his bow and set me up as a target for the arrow he has caused the arrows of his quiver to pierce my loins i have become the ridicule of all my people their taunting song all the day long he has filled me with bitterness he has made me drink wormwood he's also broken my teeth with gravel and covered me with ashes you have moved my soul far from peace i have forgotten prosperity and i said my strength and my hope have perished from the lord verse 19 says remember my affliction and roaming the warm wood and the gall my soul still remembers and sinks within me then i recall to mine and therefore i have hope through the lord's mercies we are not concerned because his compassions they fail not they are new every morning great is your faithfulness the lord is my portion says my soul therefore i hope in him i'm going to take my seat but for the few moments i have of your preaching attention i just want to tell you uh don't forget the promise do me a favor and just point your finger in somebody's face and tell them don't forget the promise don't forget don't forget don't forget the promise don't forget the promise bishop it is it is it is possible to be intellectually aware and spiritually aloof it's very possible to be intellectually aware but spiritually aloof we pride ourselves about how much bible we know but we dismiss the disparity between the bible that we know and the bible that we display because again it's very possible to be intellectually aware but spiritually aloof in other words i know when i'm at church that he can make a way but when i get home in the isolation of my own reality when i have to pull back cold covers look at the phone and have no missed calls what happens is it's a reality check because when i was in church i named it and claimed it i put my feet on it i put a praise on it but then when i got home i had to deal with the despair of my depression because again i say it's very impossible to be intellectually aware but spiritually aloof in other words it's possible to be conscious of a truth but yet have no conviction for the truth that you're conscious of because because i found out that it is easier for me to believe god for you than it is to believe god for me because if i have to believe god for myself then that means faith takes my flesh through a process sometimes god has to stretch your flesh in order to strengthen your faith so instead of me being on the field i'd rather shout for your breakthrough because your breakthrough requires nothing of me but i need you to do me a favor for the first time tonight and point your finger in somebody's face but tell them this season is for you it is for you it is it is it is it is it is amazing to me how modern christianity makes an attempt to make a play a theological play if you will between religion and relationship religion is that word that gives us to understand ceremonial observance or practice but i need you to understand that practice cannot be devoid of routine and repetition repetition cannot be discarded as yesterday's news but it has to be embraced as the foundation for real relationship i'm gonna bore you before i bless you hear me when i tell you that religion or religiosity has been relegated to the action minus anointing it has been dismissed uh to to to practice without power but but i want to suggest to you tonight that religion is really the road paved to relationship that's why i want to say to a millennial generation you have to be careful how you get bored in mundane things because understand that the spirit of god is not on assignment to excite your flesh the spirit of god is on assignment to crucify your flesh so that you can become acutely spiritually aware though he's slain yet will i trust into that bishop you're making me nervous too early this generation unfortunately has given birth to what i call freelance faith it's believers who want anointing without accountability it's opportunity without obligation look what god has done he has snatched away what we call opportunity he has set us all down on the same playing field and if you would look around you would discover that this season is really revealing who's been serious about god the whole time i want you to understand that there is a purpose for routine understand even in relationships any real relationship starts with religion in order for a man to get a woman's attention uh he he has to he has to religiously and ceremoniously show up in her inbox he has to religiously and ceremoniously send messages into her text box he he has to religiously and ceremoniously send flowers to her door that's that's repetition am i talking to anybody now ladies understand this goes for you as well but but what i'm trying to press is it is a religious approach that must be established religion establishes a devotion for the desire the many people who have desires but you're not devoted to the thing that you desire in other words do you want god because you're destitute or do you want him because you desire him it was david who cried in psalms 27 he says one thing have i desired of the lord and that will i seek that i may dwell in the house of the lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the lord and to inquire in his temple hear me anything you desire you do whatever it takes to get it anything you desire you do whatever it requires even if it requires repetition can i talk about repetition tonight repetition expands our capability of recall that the two things and i'll move on that i want you to know about repetition is one repetition establishes discipline it is it is the foundation of consistency which which is why this quarantine has been so perilous for many who lack patience and discipline to sit still many of you have of what i call the rocking horse spirit when i when i was a little child i wanted a horse but we were not wealthy enough to have a real one so my daddy went to what was called the flea market and he bought a horse that sat on springs and still he brought the horse into the house put it in my room and i could ride the horse whenever i got ready and some days from morning to night i rolled the horse but i discovered after i got older although i exerted energy riding this horse the same place i got on the horse was the same place i got off the horse but it didn't matter to me because i just wanted to be moving and i want to speak to a generation who's been moving but going nowhere and it is god who has settled us in this place where now you can't do anything have you noticed the stuff you thought you needed to do you couldn't do but look at how you survived without getting it done when paul says be steadfast in first corinthians 15 he's talking about repetition when he says be not weary and well doing he's talking about repetition it is the ability to lock into a practice even before the power or the purpose is revealed not number two repetition is only a burden to those who lack discipline and devotion repetition is a building block of discipline i know i'm boring and i'm doing it on purpose that's why i want to tell you you have to be careful how you leave a ministry because it's boring you have to be careful how you hop from one church to another because it's boring it's not exciting it's because it's not exciting your flesh sometimes the greatest experience of your life will be disappointing to your flesh but it will be igniting and provocative to your spirit point across the room and tell somebody sit down somewhere you you have to learn how to grow where you've been planted i'm not talking to anybody i i got a tree in the front yard and i got a tree in the backyard and i've been living in this house for about almost three years and i've never come outside and hurt my trees having a conversation i've never heard the tree in the backyard talking to the tree in the front yard you make me sick you get on my nerve because you thank you all of that because you're in the front and i'm stuck back here in the back i've never heard the tree in the backyard have a conversation with the tree in the front yard but i have observed the tree in the backyard says says this is the debt that i've been there i'm going to grow and to bloom where i am i i was wondering if you were there i was wondering i need you to hear me you have to be careful leaving churches and jumping jobs because you're bored maybe you're bored because you still have an appetite for dora the explorer but god's trying to get you to tune in to breaking news for your future can i talk to somebody and tell them a miracle is on the way but you got to learn how to be steadfast because you do not become a thing until you practice it into character i said again i said you do not become a thing until you practice it into character that's why uh i'm always side eyeing people because uh you know prayer has become the popular discipline in this season have you noticed everybody has a prayer call everybody has a prayer lunch everybody has a prayer breakfast and i'm not dismissing the efficaciousness of their attempt to pray but it's amazing to me that you can get 15 people in a prayer meeting in the church but everybody wants to go live in prayer have you ever noticed that at the bottom of the left-hand side of the prayer screen is dollar sign whatever whatever whatever you have to be careful how popular disciplines creep into the church because what happens is people are now no longer praying to get in touch with god but they're praying as a means of entertainment and seduction for those who are feeble in the faith look at some night and tell them this season is gonna grow you up this this season is going to grow you up i need you to hear me it's all right it's right it's all right it's all right it's all right it's all right talking about repetition please bishop be seated it's all right to pray the same prayer pray it until you believe it can i talk to the singer it's all right to sing the same song sing it until it gets in your spirit preaches it's all right to preach the same sermon preach it until you get convinced and the people get convicted that if god be for you i need you to hear me i need you to hear me when i tell you you have to do this because repetition creates a discipline am i talking to anybody and discipline creates a devotion and when you have been rooted in a thing when the wind blows as it has and when your back gets cemented up against the wall as it has in this season then prayer does not become a new garment to you prayer is the garment you've been wearing throughout the whole storm need you to hear me when i tell you that trial has a way of glorying the vision of the believer it will cause believers to forget that there is a promise on your life and can i tell you the promise of god will give you life past any present situation and cause you to hope even when you need help it is it is the revelation of god that moves me from the limitation of the present to the possibility of the future i hope i'm talking to somebody tonight because it is conspicuous to consider that the experience of your flesh cannot be canceled about the expectation of your faith i'm going to say it again i said the experience of your flesh cannot cancel the expectation of your faith i'm sure i wasn't in church with you but i'm sure december 31st 2019 you were in somebody's church probably this one shouting and dancing decreeing and declaring that this is my year didn't you do it don't hide now i want to talk to every last one of you that declared this was my year to see remember you said it was vision remember and i need you to hear me tonight that if it was vision on january 1 his vision in august i need you to understand beloved there is a difference between promise and the process there is a road between the prayer and on the promise and it is called process and god has a way of taking you into some places that you never imagined he has a way of disconnecting you from people that you thought would always be in your corner doesn't it he has a way of taking people from you that you thought you would grow old with and so now the enemy is counting on you losing perspective of this season he wants you to declare that you've been abandoned and forgotten but i need you to hear me please be seated we got a ways to go i need you to hear me be loving experience teaches us what was but expectation promises what will be that's why the apostle paul says he says in philippians he says according to my earnest expectation can i talk a while when he says earnest the word earnest has to do with purity or clarity let me put it to you this way have you ever had a glass of milk but then decided you wanted uh some strawberry soda and so when the strawberry soda was poured into the same glass that you have milking now your strawberry soda looks like a cream soda it's not that your strawberry soda was not strawberry soda but when it was poured into a glass that had not been delivered that had not poured itself on the altar now the new thing is contaminated by the thing that was what i'm saying to you tonight the reason that your vision for this season is blurred because you're trying to see your tomorrow through the lens of your yesterday [Music] oh god almighty god almighty oh god almighty i need you to understand beloved experience speaks to what was the other thing the difference between experience and expectation is that experience has proof you can document what happened you can only hope for what's on the way but then the next thing is experience is based upon eyesight but expectation is based upon insight what you cannot do is allow your eyesight to interfere with your insight our sight is what you see with these in other words you see the bill with our sights but you see supply within sight you see affliction with our sight but i dare you to lean on your neighbor and tell them oh neighbor no no no no no no i got a feeling that everything [Music] almighty is going to be all right y'all please be seated don't rush me i need you to hear me when i tell you that i sight i cite somebody to say i sight that's like projects on the mind from what is seen on the outside but insight projects on your reality what has been seen from the outside what you got to learn how to do in this season is take the insight on the inside and impose it on the outside you got to be able to look at what is not and declare what it shall be am i talking to anybody when you learn how to do this beloved then you can pack your promise like a 357 magnum oh god my when i get home in my closet i got a 357 i got a 40 a 45 or 44 or ar 15 am i talking to anybody and so they put the news out a couple of months ago in my neighborhood that there was some burglars lurking in my neighborhood and my friend and brother i didn't get nervous i just went and got my ammunition and sat behind the front door and i began to say come by here [Music] come out here y'all please be seated why why because i knew i was prepared the reason you got saints falling losing their minds going crazy is because you would not prepare see this season is revealing the people of bishop who were taking notes in church and those who were making tic tac videos this this seas is going to reveal who was really praying on your knees and who had fell asleep during prayer look at somebody and tell them your response is telling on you i'm coming i'm coming i'm coming i want you to understand tonight that when god gives you a promise he gives it to you when there is nothing about your situation that looks like the promise you just received but hear me when you speak the promise the psych people will look at your situation because they have no revelation and that's what you just spoke they have no revelation that what you just spoke did not come from a carnal place but it came from your spirit and so when people begin to judge your confession don't get in conflict just continue do me a favor and just look at somebody and tell them don't get in no conflict this ain't the time for conflict this is the time to continue because understand what carnal people see is time but what spiritual belief we believe in eternity and i don't know about y'all i'm getting ready to preach but i just need time to pass so i can catch up with what god has promised can i tell you tonight that while you're in this season the first thing you need to remember is that christ paid a price for your promotion oh god i might if you take your notes take this tell somebody a price was paid for your promotion on the price he paid you'll find it right then first corinthians 6 and 20. the bible said he paid for our redemption we were bought with a price then when you look over in second corinthians 6 the apostle paul pleads with the church at corinth not to receive the grace of god in vain in other words don't turn away from the opportunity that is before you i need you to hear me when i tell you that this pandemic has been painful for many but can i prophesy to you right now hebrews chapter 4 verse 9 declares that there remains a place of rest for the people of god this is a season of pain but it's also a season of promise can i tell you tonight a price has been paid for you to live for you to survive can i talk to you tonight and tell you you got grace to survive this season that's why the bible says if that spirit that christ raised christ from the dead if it dwell in you it will also quicken your mortal body and i'm declaring tonight that you be quickened in the holy ghost i dare you to look across the room and tell somebody come out of the slumber of suffering and know tonight that if god be for you i'll be there in a minute so understand the second thing is i need you to remember tonight is not only that a price has been paid but number two i need you to remember the purpose that he gave tell somebody you got purpose he said to moses in exodus 9 and 16 that i have raised you up for this very purpose that i might show you my power and that my name may be proclaimed in all of the earth do you know the night that you're not going through just for you you're going through so that you come out with a testimony do you not know there is a generation that has not even been born they're going to be depending on your experience in 2020 that's why you've got to hang on in there can i tell you tonight if you were a writer before the pandemic you're a writer in the pandemic if you were a business owner before the business shut down look at somebody and tell them you're still a business owner if you were a designer before this y'all ain't talking tell somebody you're still a design and i want to say to every discouraged preacher if you were a preacher before this you're still a preacher can i tell you that god has not changed his mind concerning you no he's not changed his mind i know circumstances has changed and i know that everybody's in a frenzy looking for a new strategy and i believe that new strategies are assigned to some but not for all that some of you that god is going to sustain your old strategy in a new season oh god almighty some of y'all are too old to learn how to work on the computer so you know what god is going to do he's going to dig a whale for you in a desert place look at somebody and tell him i don't know how he's going to do it but come on tell them i got a feeling that everything is going to be all right i'm coming i've looked around and i have observed that this challenge has shaken us it has shaken our families and our finances so to the point that we have forgotten the promise that god has given to us that's why i told you repetition expands your capability to recall and to remember it gives discipline to duty can i talk to you tonight and tell you that recovering spiritual truth demands repetition and use have you looked and seen that this trial is exposing the faith level of many can i talk to you tonight and tell you that spiritual diligence is instructed all throughout the scripture i know you got to keep going you got to keep believing i know you're bored can i tell you it's hard to pray when it don't seem like your prayers are being answered it's hard to keep on sowing when the seeds you've sown have yet to render a harvest but will you do me a favor and just holler at somebody and tell them keep on doing what you're doing because spiritual diligence is instructed throughout scripture paul tells timothy in second timothy to study to show yourself approve of what one under god that needeth not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth the word approved means i need you to get this word in your spirit so that when you are tested you can remember to be steadfast you can remember to be immovable i need you to know that your labor is not in by faith i didn't expect things to come a loose in my house but when you look look in the text tonight jeremiah was in so much pain that he made the pain personal i came in here to tell somebody don't make the pandemic personal because if we open up testimony surface you'll find out your neighbor is going through the same thing that you're going through right now grab your neighbor by the hand if you got gloves on that ears and say ah you are not by yourself see what the devil does he wants to make you to believe that nobody is going through like you he wants to make you to believe that nobody else is under the same attack but i came to tell you tonight that we're all under attack but i got good news i got good news that the same god that covered us in 2019 he's going to cover us in the 2020 look at the text y'all because jeremiah actually nobody was going through but him look at verse number three he said the lord has turned his hand against me he has turned his hand against me he said he's broken my bones he surrounded me with bitterness verse number six he said he made me dwell in darkness he has weighed me down but i doubt you since you won't hold hands just wave at somebody and say neighbor you are not by yourself sliding tell somebody in verse number eight jeremiah said he won't hear my prayer but i doubt you tonight to ease the tension of your navel and say neighbor don't let my praise make you believe that all of my prayers have been answered i just learned how to praise him with unsurprised i learned how to praise him with unpaid bills i learned how to pray so bad it was so bad for him he had forgotten what prosperity was 2019 has been so rough some of y'all have forgotten how what it feels like to be blessed 2020 has been so dark you forgot what life feels like 2020 has been so rough you forgot what a blessing feels like and that's the reason verse 18 he said my hope in the lord is gone wait a minute y'all the reason in verse 18 he says by hoping the law is all gone the reason his hope is gone because in verse 17 he forgot what prosperity was not only do i need you to remember the price he paid not only do i need to remember the purpose he gave but number three i need you to remember the promise he made i got somebody to look across this room and tell somebody [Music] nobody prophesied about this season but i came to tell you that instruction does not always come with the why this generation only obeys [Music] and told everybody they were crazy but i need you to understand in second chronicles of chapter 20 when jehoshaphat told you to believe in the lord your god and you will be established believe his prophets and you will prosper he's teaching judah tonight that you believe in the prophet is an act of honor under god obedience should be motivated by devotion not to avoid destruction and some of y'all only obey trying to hide from trouble but when you grow up in god your obedience is not [Music] that the lord has of the believer to make you know that shouting and dancing it's all right but the bible says if you'll be willing and obedient [Music] i got to get out of here i'm preaching too long but i came to tell you you got to be careful how you react to calamity it was strange for me to see the believers in a panic see your fear reveals the fact that you forgot ephesians 3 and 20 that said god is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all your anxiety reveals the fact that you forgot how philippians 4 be anxious for nothing but [Music] let your request be made [Music] i came tonight to put you in remembrance of second peter chapter one he said i will not be negligent to put you in remembrance of these things that throw ye no kid and establish in the present truth do me a favor i said do me a favor if you ain't scared tell somebody get yourself together i need you to remember that if god before you he's more that the whole world against you when when the spirit [Music] and you're feeling like you've strayed too far and you're feeling like you're saying it's too dark don't forget to remember that jesus paid it off when you feel like you don't fit in and you don't belong don't forget to in your marriage and your ministry and your job tell them i just need you to remember that the lord is on your side i need you to remember that greater is he that is in you i need you to remember it's amazing you can remember the promise for them but you can't remember it for yourself how can you cast out depression and you're depressed lord said this is a season for your healing that's why you're in isolation because i had to put you in isolation so i could heal you so you wouldn't become infected by the people you're trying to help look at somebody tell them embrace this isolation i need somebody to hear me as i prophesy the lord say tell you this is not punishment this is divine placement he said i'm not punishing you i'm placing you i'm preparing you for something that your hater friends can't handle but i need you to stop mumbling and complaining about the symptoms and the circumstance of the situation and just embrace it the bible said rejoice i need 50 people to scream
