jared anthony higgins better known to the world as juice world was born on december the 2nd 1998 where he grew up on the south side of chicago and early on in his childhood his parents would split leaving his mother to be the main parent in his life foreshadowing him eventually becoming a musical artist his mother would introduce him to music and instruments at a very young age where he started playing the piano at just three years old young at a young age when you start playing piano three or four years old wow moms made you do it or you just yeah infatuated but after that even when i got kicked out of lessons i was cutting up however his mother was also a religious and conservative woman who wouldn't let him listen to any hip-hop music which helped form his eclectic music taste from a young age i got a wider range of influence i was listening to everything my mom was in the rock in gospel she wasn't for none of that rap [ __ ] at first and i get around my cousin though he gonna hop in the car with us when we leave that's the man that put me on a rap wayne project pat gucci 50 cent a fair amount of the themes in the lyrics and juice world's music revolved around his troubled relationship with substances and he noted in his breakfast club interview here that he was getting prescribed drugs when he was just in the fifth grade to help deal with his supposed add just not paying attention right he said you had 80d when you were younger yeah supposedly they put you on anything for it for sure i started out with focusing i didn't what i've been on all that focusing what's the ritalin uh vive vans adorable and this would eventually lead him into experimenting with other drugs more heavily as he got older you always had issues with drugs even before you started to get famous and uh rich yeah yeah yeah for sure i mean it was something that i was into early low-key due to music cause like i was a music head so like in sixth grade seventh grade i'm hearing songs about sip and lean those are like the real influential years i feel like especially for like a boy also throughout his school and years juice world was a sporty kid playing baseball and basketball pretty heavily oh [ __ ] after graduating high school though juice didn't go to college instead he actually started working at a car factory for a couple weeks before quitting to pursue music before i got famous i actually had a job for like two weeks in a car factory on some eight mile [ __ ] it was so depressing just like yo here i am working next to like a 60 year old man 45 year old woman like thank god i'm here and i could do this as i said earlier juice had always been around music from a young age and later on this would materialize into him properly attempting to record and release songs when he was in high school on soundcloud before going by juice world juicer's original rapper name was actually juice the kid and the juice part of his name was inspired by three people in particular part of the reason why i kept juicing my name wasn't only for tupac it was for three rappers actually tupac uh soldier boy out of tape called the juice mixtape and then the mc juice when juice first started recording music he was just doing it on his cell phone and his first official music release would be in february of 2015 with the song titled forever forever forever she stayed on my mind like forever forever however moving into 2016 juice would change his name from juice the kid to juice world symbolizing his desire to take over the globe it just represents just being globally like taking over the world pretty much being globally known and hurt globally and juice over the coming year would continue to make a name for himself on the soundcloud scene with songs like let him know and me and you [Music] my dream girl i can't ignore it and even in these early songs it was evident that juice's music stood out from your prototypical soundcloud artist and you could hear a myriad of influences in his music although he cited more obvious influences coming from chicago like chief keef and kanye west chief keef is my favorite rapper but 80s and heartbreaks is my favorite album like ever so like it's weird it's kind of a little bit of both i took you know i took influence on both of them the punk rock and emo music he grew up listening to gave his vocals and lyrics a stylistic edge that made him stand out heavy metal stuff to like the devil wears prada all the way back to like fall out boy you know just different things this was before a relationship with internet monies dt who went by side piece at that time and nick mirror would be influential in completing juice's sound internet money are a well-known production collective that have played huge roles in putting people like lol tekka and andy or on and even back then a few years ago despite being in their infancy their production was still very well polished and married well with juice's vocals for these emotional rap ballads they began working together in 2016 which eventually culminated in an entire project produced by dt and nick mirror juice's breakout tape juiceworld999 released in june of 2017 this tape featured a plethora of now iconic juice world songs like moonlight don't know when i met you but i met you don't know why i love you but i love you all and lucid dreams i still see your shadows in my room can't take back the love that i gave you plus not too long after this in december would come another crucial song to juice's career all girls are the same also produced by nick and parallel in this internet money relationship was a relationship with little bibby g money g herbert and his manager peter who all formed a part of grade a productions who juice world would actually sign too for a more in-depth look into this story make sure to check out the other video no jumper has done on this topic however essentially haven't already been in the industry and making music for multiple years little bibi and grade a already had a wealth of experience and knowledge about the music game and they signed juice in september of 2017 and this relationship between grade 8 and juice is important to mention because at this time in late 2017 juice was still relatively unknown although songs like lucid dreams were released that were yet to explode and the connections and the business acumen that great a provided juice was imperative to his forthcoming success in fact peter his manager remembers in january of 2018 truce actually had 1 000 followers enter colt bennett the well-known influential music video director juice would be linked with cole bennett via lil bibby where he would shoot two videos in early 2018 that changed juice's career forever all goes of the same and lucid dreams released in february of 2018 and may of 2018 respectively without a doubt this cole bennett cosign was the catalyst that juice's music needed to take him from this kind of pop and soundcloud artist to someone that was on the verge of stardom with millions of views in a matter of a couple short months as is exemplified with this google trend data right here you can see the massive upticks in interest surrounding juice world's name when these videos by cole bennett were released paired this with juice world signing a 3 million interscope record deal that got unveiled in march of 2018 and by the middle of 2018 juice world thanks to a major label backing the cole bennett placements and of course his great music was thrusted into the mainstream light his debut album released through interscope goodbye and good riddance was then released in may of 2018 and sold 39k in its first week which is very impressive considering how fresh of an artist juice world was at this time and this project served to be a crucial one for juice as it would land him several platinum hits such as black and white armed and dangerous and lean with me with me with me pivotal to juice world's rise also throughout 2018 was him being embraced by other bigger artists at that time louise evert hopped onto the now platinum wasted in july of 2018. he was featured on no bystanders from travis scott's asho world in august of 2018 and he finished off 2018 collaborating with one of his idols future for a collaborative project world on drugs all of this just helped to propel dusseldord further and as is evident right there you can see juiceworld was extremely prolific with his musical output and this wouldn't change in 2019 by march he'd released another album death race for love which sold a gigantic 165k in its first week juxtaposing this huge first week number with its previous solo album which as i mentioned sold 39k in may of 2018 you can get an idea of how much juice will glowed up in under a year plus on top of this we're a slew of huge collaborations throughout 2019 with young dog little tucker ali gordin not to mention his smash bandit with nba young boy i don't need no molly to be savage however this thing brings us to the end of 2019 where unfortunately as we know on the 8th of december news broke that juice world had passed away amongst fans there is a lot of speculation and conspiracy theories as of what exactly happened in regards to his death however the official story as reported by news outlets would be told as him dying as a result of an accidental overdose on oxycodone and codeine where he suffered a seizure during a police search of his private jet when it landed at a chicago airport drew sword was only 21 years old at the time of his death and his musical career was in its infancy in the space of two years he had gone from basically a nobody to a worldwide superstar more importantly however was his impact on the youth jusua's music was honest it was emotional and the stories of pain and heartbreak connected with millions worldwide uh it's not like my therapy sessions almost and um i see the way it helps people through [ __ ] and helps people go through you know go through life and um brings people together i'm all about that and since his passing we've seen jesus name be immortalized by the hip-hop community as his music has been embraced on a larger scale than ever before his first posthumous album legends never died sold a staggering 497 000 in its first week making it the biggest debut for a posthumous album this century and furthermore in 2020 juice world was spotify's most streamed artist in the u.s which is insane to think about and in terms of other releases it's likely we're on the tip of the iceberg we know juice had an insane work ethic and left behind countless songs and his team have confirmed there is more music on the way which hopefully we get to hear soon but that brings us to the end of this video for today i hope you guys enjoyed it if you have please make sure that like button down below also if you haven't there are more no jumper videos on the screen right now make sure to check
