The real reason people buy Street Glides

what's up guys I'm Sean from SRK cycles and this is the best-selling harley-davidson since 2006 when it came out I don't know that for a fact but it's Elfman it once told me that cue the intro alright or sitting in front of a 2013 harley-davidson Street Glide and the Street Glide came out in about 2006 it was very similar in a way to the failed electrolytes standard the electrolytes standard was basically an Electra Glide that came with no radio and actually came with a little like zipper bag that would go in the place of the radio I think it may have had speakers I'm not sure but a zipper bag and place of a radio and then note or pack and then just no cool accessories and also the engine was like painted a uh it was just like all silver looking it was when you see it you're like II doesn't look that good but people like it now a little more because like it's kind of like a Street Glide so that was the predecessor to the street side it did but it did very bad it didn't sell very many but then in 2006 they came with a Street Glide and the blacked out motor and just everything and and it's been one of the best-selling harley-davidson since it came out let's kind of dive in to figure out why before we did a test drive in a couple minutes one everyone loves the ultra classic this is the Electra Glide platform basically without a tour pack you know if you put a tour pack on here the bike ends up being worth last ministry glide and people say it's an old man bike take the tour pack off add some more black add some more color to it instantly you have a young man's bike I'm not really sure how that works so normally on a electric light or the other rogue light the mirrors come off of the handlebars and they come up up up here well people think that's too ugly why not put them right here this is the classic streak light mirror they do work well they do look good now the street clubs gonna have just two speakers up in here up on the front fairing the ultra classic will have two more speakers back here connects to the tour pack now the CVO Street Glide depending on what year it is they actually had speakers mounted into the saddle this is a 2013 this is the last year of this design in 2014 they came up with a Rushmore design so with this one you still have the bags and open up like this and in the the new 2014's you have a little lever that pops up here and that's how they open up it would not be a true Street Glide listen at some type of spike or pointy object guaranteed to kill something if it hit it now if you were if you're riding the bike and you're back here and somehow you get up in front of the bike and these things stab you you probably deserve to die because you're a idiot but let alone we have some awesome spikes so 2013 Street Glide is rocking the 103 cubic inch motor it's a great motor I've seen tons of these tons of these things do you know over a hundred thousand miles with just normal routine maintenance this thing's also sitting on a six-speed gearbox perfect for cruising on the highway and it's also rocking the steel braided brake lines and the 2013 is also equipped with throttle by wire so there's no actual throttle cables going down to the motor it's all throttle by wire so this specific street light has a lot of aftermarket parts on it from the fender to the black painted lowers to that to that to the engine guards to the pedals to the intake to that's been painted to the big ape hangers clockworks windshield to the exhaust a lot of money to put into this thing I love these crypts too but it's still one of the cheapest streak lives 2013 street lights out there with only seven seventy three hundred miles on how much is this one 39 39 that's insane let's do the test drive alright guys before the test drive let's do the words of wisdom real quick Matthew 6:14 for if you forgive others for their transgressions that means like sins your heavenly Father will also forgive you amen let's put on the m1 moto gloves protected by Kevlar then take this beast for a spin so let us treat gut but a lot of Street Glide questions I'm sure you guys are all having I'm about to answer all of them for you one question I'm sure you have is hey sean is a streakline right for me and I got a series of questions for you to help you you know now that down one are you breathing - do you have a pulse do you have at least one good hand and do you have a but if you have these four things I'm going to go is you know what I think a street glide could be a good bike for you the streetlight is a very very very popular bike it's a good bike for a lot of people they're comfortable they're modifiable they're reliable then will they run for a long time they really are great bike another amazing thing about the streak line and this might kind of suck for a lot of people who are trying to buy one but if you already own one they really hold their value they do an amazingly good job and holding their value it's it's um it's almost hard to find any Street Glide less than ten thousand dollars no matter how old it is just because of what it is now this thing has I probably at least $4,000 of work you're looking at right prob about 1200 bucks if not more just to get these bars installed I'm sure the bars it's off for maybe about 800 bucks super low miles you got the pipes you got some other stuff on it I think these are after these are aftermarket uh speakers also so another question I'm six-two I feel great on this bike it is a very comfortable ride I can actually uh I can have my foot on the highway pegs and I can heal the brake the rear brake that's kind of cool so these bars are almost a perfect perfect height I know they look big I know they look excessive they feel pretty good you can see my arms are about level with my shoulders now I would prefer maybe an inch or two lower if we're looking for like perfection handlebar height perfection but I think these are pretty good and for guys that have like a bigger butt then what I do and maybe sit up a little bit taller this could be absolute perfection it's got a great sound it's got a great feel to it it is a comfortable bike that clockworks windshield I'm not getting any helmet buffeting but we'll see what happens on the highway now we know a lot of people will ride Harley's don't wear helmets so there's a bad idea I think you always got to wear your safety gear I'm wearing all my safety gear except for some good safe pants we all know that jeans are not gonna protect you at all the zero protection of what you two get from cheese guys if you are wondering about the gloves and I'm wearing these are the m1 moto gloves lined with kevlar one of the only motorcycle gloves that is lined with kevlar these things are tough we tested these things like at nausea and I was very impressed what is that oh it's a alter classic maybe let's see if this guy gives us the way it's an ultra limited yep yep let's go right in front of me so what we have down here we have the accessory light we got the cruise control let's turn the cruise control on I got to press this button over here you know it's running there we go when the green when it goes from orange or red to green so you press you turn just set and then you have cruise control and just like the Tesla this has driverless steering this thing will actually steer all by itself and avoid traffic let's see if we can get it up I can't turn that fat all right all right lied it does not have driverless steering maybe it does hold on yeah it does yeah it does yeah it does I told you guys let's jump on the highway see how this thing runs and then you see when I grab on the brake of the clutch or any brake the cruise control will go from green to red or orange and that means it's not on anymore let's accelerate to a appropriate legal speed to get on the highway that is the speed limit the legal speed limit and now we're just going to cruise on the highway let's take this thing up to six speed which we are there let's set the cruise control it's current about the cruise control is not that you're going to take both hands off the handlebars way that you may take one hand and you can give your right hand a little break so keep your left hand on there and just cruise grab something else punch the guy next to you if you have to whatever kick your feet up on these Highway pegs so we're cruising at 60 miles an hour at like 2200 rpms that's what's big six feet is let's see what five fists if we were in fifth gear what that would look like sixty is I like 2500 rpm no wait hold on yeah the 20 maybe 26 hundred rpms so I brings you down a good you know four hundred rpms 300 rpms nothing crazy guys I like these bikes you say these are fun they do hold their value very well no obvious if you buy it brand new you're gonna look if you buy anything brand new you're gonna lose money on it unless you keep it for 30 to 70 years in very good shape the controls are very simple here's your audio controls crank that up now we'll turn that down so we don't get to monetize you do have an ox ox for it right there and if you pop that open you got a CD drive for those younger people watching what's a CD it's like an mp3 file on like a big metal disc except for it's not metal it's made of plastic or so I don't know what it's made out of I don't know what a CD is alright
