but we're about to get into you're ready the craziest thing you've ever heard that's why i love you people that's the response you get when you when you're with older people they'll say i hope i ain't that deep can i understand it but young people you know it's like hey the crazier now this is all historic based so we're going to go through a lot of history we're going to go through scripture so it's very sound but it is something that i had never heard taught in my let's say 45 years of preaching until i saw an article or a writing by an early church father and we would be talking about the early church fathers in case you don't know who we're talking about these are uh you have the apostolic the i'm sorry let's go back you had the apostles which were the 12 original eliminate judas put his replacement in acts chapter 1 in and we're going to talk about the last one who was john in a moment and then you had what's called the postnessian fathers and these uh the council of nicaea are the men that got together and organized what would be in the new testament basically and the you had the the pre-nucian fathers and the post okay so we're going to deal with the time frame from the first century up to about the fifth century to saint augustine and you're going to hear something interesting and if you can look i'm going to just tell you this if you can follow me with this and we get to the end of it this is to me one of the greatest revelations concerning why the rapture teaching was not taught a lot from to 90 after 95 a.d up into the fifth century i'm going to show you why because the big argument that theologians give you have students of prophecy teachers of prophets and theologians of prophecy the biggest argument that theologians give that i hear is that if the rapture is a real doctrine that was known in the church then why don't the early fathers of the second third fourth and fifth century talk about it they talk about the coming of the lord they talk about the second coming of the lord and that is the part as i told you last night where he returns to earth to rule they mentioned that a lot but to hear the word rapture and i told you why that word wouldn't be used didn't i because saint jerome by in the fifth century is translate fourth to fifth century is translating the bible in bethlehem and he's the one that came up with the word when he translated the bible from greek caught up jorpezo to latin for the word that we use as rapture so that's why it's not used in this first second third you know middle of fourth century that's why it's not used because a bible translation brought that word into existence however what when you understand i can't wait this is my introduction uh and i hope i don't make a blooper lag last night glory to his name oh yes so let's go right now let me give you the foundation we're going to build a foundation we're going to build a very wide foundation go with me to matthew chapter 16 and i don't know why i brought my old dates bible that i that i've preached with so long because the print is microscopic you know when you when you're standing back here anyway uh matthew chapter 16 verse 28. all right i want you to imagine that you're one of the disciples and christ is giving you all of this these great narratives and what will happen and he makes this statement and my question for you is if you were one of the disciples hearing this there's 12 men how would you interpret this how would you interpret it this is the question i want to ask you it's in the red letters meaning jesus spoke and it says in verse 28 matthew 16 verily and verily means truly i say to you there be some standing here which shall not taste of death till they see the son of man coming in the kingdom now he did not say there are some of you standing here that shall not test death till i return please notice what he's saying till you see the son of man coming in the kingdom now let me ask you what would you think had you heard that real basic ten time here we go this is so bad michael what would you think had you heard that probably i wouldn't maybe it's me i'm not going to die he's going to come again i'm going to be alive can i tell you that's what they can i tell you that's how they interpreted it you want me to prove it go to john 21 i'm going to prove it to you jesus is resurrected they are at the sea of galilee as you know they caught 153 fish there's a real interesting nugget as to why 153 uh what's interesting about 153 well let me go i'll get sidetracked we'll go to another area we're getting the hebrew stuff that's too deep uh but uh peter and john are the are the chief two people in the conversation and so john is writing this right and john is so humble he never he says he didn't say i john he says that disciple whom jesus loved i mean he's so he's so modest because this is the one that leaned on his breasts this is his best friend this is the one he chose that was the youngest probably 15 years of age when he chose him this is the one that was with mary took care of mary at ephesus after jesus died i mean but it's not it's he didn't want anybody to think he's the favorite he's just humble and he writes to the church and says my children my little children i got to meet him one day you know what i'm saying okay now peter has been told in verse 18 that he would live to be an old man now peter has his nose in everybody else's business here so then in verse 20 peter turning about now i'm in john 21 20 see if the disciple whom jesus loved we all know that's john who's writing this following which also leaned on his breast at supper and john record we it's that's recorded who it was we know who this is said lord which is he that betrayeth thee peter's seeing him sayeth to jesus lord and what shall this man do can you just see him it's like dude this ain't in your business what this man will do but he's got to know what does this mean i'm going to live to be old now why is peter asking that pay attention because they know somebody's not going to die until they see the kingdom so peter says okay he's pointed me out above all of you to live to be old but wait a minute this john's a lot younger see what about this man watch this jesus said if i will if it is my will that he tarry till i come what is that to you follow me and here's the next verse then with this saying abroad among the brethren that that disciple should not die but jesus did not say to him he shall not die but what is it to you if i tarry till he come this statement is significant thus with this saying abroad that john would not die why is this statement significant because he's the youngest enough now you got to follow me here and jesus goes back to heaven i'm going to use a year and we're not exactly sure i could be one year off 32 a.d 32 33 a.d he goes back to heaven he has left peter and john on the planet okay peter gets put in jail almost beheaded but he's sleeping you know why he's sleeping because he knows he's going to live to be an old man and he ain't old yet hello that'll preach so an angel had to smote him to wake him up to get him out of jail he wasn't going to die he knew he wasn't going to die he was young he said i'm gonna go i'm just gonna go to go sleep right here because god's gonna have to come through for me because i'm not old yet he told me i'd be old and they would be helping me around when i was old it's there right there you gotta hold on to your prophecy no matter what kind of circumstances you get in and just because it's delayed doesn't mean it's going to be denied [Music] i could preach right there now so now we have a situation where everybody has placing their expectations on john and the rumor is this whoa the lord's coming how am i high the lord's going to excuse me for doing that i'm just like the lord's coming the lord's coming hey shannon the lord's coming how do you know well john he said don't you you didn't hear didn't hear what what the sea of galilee everybody's talking about it that jesus said john wasn't going to die till the lord till till he returns john's the key man john is the key well guess what happens paul gets peter gets beheaded in 65 uh 65 i think it was a.d or 64. paul gets beheaded in 65 a.d and by 72 a.d almost every apostle is dead martyred except one john so how do you think the church is reacting okay nero looks like the antichrist right three early church fathers taught nero was the antichrist he's chopping people's heads off he's putting christians in oil he's putting them in the in the uh crosses and lighting them up on the appian way to light the road with christian bodies burning this guy is a schizophrenic maniac who's controlled by demons all right but then nero dies but that didn't help because domitian comes to power and domitian becomes a complete persecutor of the christians so here's what they did ever you better stay with me because i'm about to preach john is living he's alive and domition says this we'll put an end to this teaching of a king coming back because we'll burn him we'll we'll we'll put him in oil and cook him and they literally according to historians of the early church put john in hot oil dipped him in it and he didn't die because it's hard for a god to die that's got a prophecy hanging on him [Applause] he didn't die so then the mission says all right we're going to shut everybody up put him on a boat stick him on a rocky aisle where we take worst political slaves called the isle of patmos which is surrounded by the aegean sea and stick him there till he's dead but god in 95 a.d put that old man in a cave that they show you on tours of the isle of patmos and as he's in the ocean i read in revelation 1 and i was in the spirit on the lord's day and i heard a voice behind me like a trumpet and when i turned i saw seven golden candlesticks and in the midst of the candlesticks one like and under the sun of man clothed with a garment down to the foot gerd about the past with the golden girdle his hair on his head was white like wool his eyes were like a flame and fire and he said he said to me john i am he that was dead but i'm alive forevermore and what i'm about to show you get a pen and write let me tell you what he saw in revelation chapter 4 he heard a voice saying come up hither and he entered into the very throne room of god in chapter 5 john begins to see the elders and the saints worshiping god around the throne in chapter 6 he has a seven sealed book and he watches the lamb of god bust seven seals up then he sees 144 000 jews from the 12 tribes of israel being sealed on earth and then you move on it sees an antichrist rising up out of the sea and another beast called the false prophet coming up out of the earth he sees a mark of the beast which universally marks people and you can't buy or sell without it in revelation 13 in chapter 14 he sees the 144 000 caught up from jerusalem to the heavens in chapter 15 he sees plagues and judgments he sees them in chapter 6 15 and 16 17 and 18 he sees the destruction of mr babylon chapter 19 he sees the wedding supper of the lamb in heaven and the return of christ to the earth chapter 20 he sees christ ruling for a thousand years chapter 21 and 20 22 he sees the new jerusalem coming down what am i trying to tell you ready he didn't die until he saw the kingdom [Applause] he saw what no prophet in the bible saw [Music] he added to the revelation of daniel daniel never saw a mark daniel never saw an economic system daniel never saw the false prophet john did nobody in the old i say abraham said the bible said he looked for a city that hath foundations whose builder and maker is god abraham was looking for heaven when he was walking i want to tell you that any got translated to heaven after he got through walking and i want to tell you when we get through walking and we get caught up we're going to go to a city that has 12 foundations 1500 miles high 1500 miles wide with gates of pearl and streets of gold that's the kingdom that john saw and ladies and gentlemen they couldn't put him in oil and kill him they couldn't put him on the isle of patmos and make an old man die because he had to see the messiah's kingdom and write a book called the apocalypse and send it to the seven churches to let them know what was happening in the end time now watch this watch this john's death according to rick renner who's a greek scholar i would i would trust him with any greek words or greek history says that between about 96 to 100 a.d somewhere around that time john died he is the last of the 12 apostles now let us now stop for a moment and look at the new testament quickly of how the writers of the new testament written in 54 in 1960 a.d and 65 a.d and 70 a.d and revelation 95 how did they look at their view of the return of the lord first of all jesus said john 14 i go prepare a place for you and if i go prepare a place i'll come again and receive you unto myself that where i am there you may be also acts 1 said you men of galilee why stan g gazing i think it's verse 11. why stand you gazing up into heaven this same jesus which was taken up from you in heaven shall still come in like manner as you've seen him go and then you hear the apostles say things like the coming of the lord draweth nigh and draw near you know peter you know keep your lamps trimmed and burn you okay you go through the new testament i'm going to sum it up this way they believed jesus was going to return within a generation because when jesus said upon this generation shall come matthew 23 the destruction of the temple and and the uh destruction of jerusalem in this generation they start saying to themself this thing's going to wrap up quick now they call it in theology the imminent return of jesus christ meaning at any moment that's basically what that word means emma any moment and then when you c when you connect christ's return to what paul wrote in first thessalonians 4 16 17 how we would be suddenly caught up and you read first corinthians 15 about the sound of the last trump and you begin to look at other verses in the um in the new testament this coming is secretive it is not announced how do i know that because the bible said no man knows the day or the hour i shall return not not the angels but my father only and that's why jesus always told believers to watch and pray watch and pray here's the deal if all you're watching if all you're doing is watching and not praying you'll get sidetracked by the devil if all you're doing is praying and not watching you won't know where you're going so you got to know where you're going while you're getting in god's will because to get to god's will there's a journey you take to get there oh don't get me sidetracked preaching on this i'm on a rabbit trail right now now here's what happens and i've really thought about this this is what got me thinking about this years ago john is dead by 100 a.d the original apostles are gone now the new testament letters have been distributed right the books of the new testament have been written by now the letters have been distributed paul's epistle hebrews they have been distributed through the roman empire people have read them now what do you do with your theology of the lord coming you thought someone wasn't going to die till he would return that's what it says all of a sudden that person is now dead he saw the kingdom in a vision now you've got to say to yourself okay how do we handle the questions of the next generation of christians because at that moment now pay attention they have entered even though the mission died and john was released from the island he died off the isle of patmos there were 10 major persecutions of christians that happen in 300 years now watch carefully at this point from the from the end of the first let's just say let's say 100 a.d to the second century to the third century to the time of emperor constantine who legalized christianity all right and uh suddenly the church suddenly started producing bibles copying bibles suddenly they started letting churches have churches basilicas as they called them or churches were being built after constantine and when he released freedom to the christians the theology now this is very important but to the question i posed earlier as to why they asked me did not the early fathers for 300 years mention the rapture and the answer is the first century church had based a lot on john and the coming of the lord happening before his death when it shifted their theology changed now i've studied the early fathers i've got 16 volumes i've i go to as many of them as i can when i want to know what were they were thinking at a certain time and here's what i can tell you the theology changed to more of the antichrist being the roman empire and the tribulation coming and the lord would return after the church went through a tribulation that's absolutely true but it shifted based on the events of the day today we would call it newspaper exit jesus in other words hey here's another wicked emperor he could be the antichrist he's out there killing christians this could be the one then they'd have a reprieve here would come a week it sounds like politics in america don't it did i say that no you get a reprieve and then you get you get someone and it's going to undo everything and you get a reprieve where they where they protect babies and they go for israel and here comes somebody else that's going to reverse it all out that's what was happening with the roman emperors they'd get a good emperor and they said oh finally finally we're not going to be chased down by a bunch of horses by soldiers and here come another one go after them look it got so bad before constantine came and i'm not trying to be gross that they would take young girls and cut their breasts off if they didn't deny jesus it got so bad they were burning by if you were caught with the bible they didn't look they didn't want to kill you they wanted to torture you it got that bad so the mentality is this knowing the book of daniel knowing what john saw in revelation revelation 13 the theology then says look obviously jesus didn't come back okay we're 150 years now we're 200 now we're two now we're 300 years he didn't come back yet so something's messed up what's messed up well i'll tell you what i think i think that really the roman empire is the beast and i think that the emperors are the antichrist and this is this i'm telling you this is their writing and we're just going to have to endure until something happens now we put a stake up at that moment of history a second third fourth century and we take you to the mistake that one famous respected early father made that messed everything up until the 1800s anybody want to go there because this is really this is where the message gets very very interesting for some reason by the time you get to the fourth century augustine saint augustine you heard his name mentioned writes something called the city of god he looks at the book of revelation and instead of making it literal he makes it an allegory it's not literal now it's futuristic the symbolism is simply good versus evil jerusalem is god's city babylon is the devil's kingdom and it's a battle between good and evil and right and wrong and i don't know if you have a red city of god but here's what began to happen all of a sudden they started teaching that they were about to set up the 1 000 year reign of christ on earth now let me ask you something why would they begin to talk about there's a thousand-year reign that the church is going to rule and reign on earth we're going to take it and rule and reign what changed was a 1 500 year miscalculation that threw off the second coming message of christ in the early church later there was a there was a christian theolo theologian hippolytus who lived from 170 to 236 a.d and he was born less than a hundred years after the book of revelation was written actually he was born about 75 years after revelation was written by john and he was pastor at the church in rome very important to hear this he was a he was associate an associate to aranias who was a disciple of the apostle john okay so here's a guy that's real connected he's got one of these one of his men here that he knows was discipled by the man who wrote the book of revelation so when when when apologist speaks and he writes the church listens i'm going to quote to him and i'm going to quote it slow aren't you glad somebody last week said you could have been auctioneer quote we are obligated to discuss the matter of the times of which a man should not speak hastily because there are light to him for as much as the times are noted from the foundation of the world and reason from adam in other words we're going to start counting from adam he says they sit clearly before us the matter for which our inquiry deals for the appearance of our lord took place in bethlehem under augustus which is caesar augustus in the year of our lord five thousand five hundred fifty let's stop right there he now says the birth of christ from adam is five thousand five fifty years he is way off just remember that he's way off and i'll tell you why in a minute he suffered in the 33rd year and 6 000 years must need be accomplished in order for the great sabbath to come the rest the holy day on which god rested from all of his works now they're saying that as i will show you that they took in the early church the early fathers took the six days of creation and they said peter and david said in psalms a day with the lord is a thousand years and a thousand years is one day therefore this six days represents 6 000 years on the seventh day god rested for a day and that is the millennial reign john saw in revelation and that's why they called it the day of the lord in the bible okay this is their theory this is their theory all right i'm going to keep reading for the sabbath is the type and emblem of the future kingdom of the saints when they shall reign with christ since then in six days god made all things it follows that six thousand years must be fulfilled and they are not fulfilled yet as john says and here again he's taking a verse from the book of revelation chapter 17 five are fallen one is and the other is the sixth and the other has not yet come now those are kings that it's going to rule that haven't come yet but they're saying five represents five thousand years six is the sixth thousandth year and there's a seventh kingdom which is the seventh thousandth year so they're i mean they're getting to this thing and they're kind of they're all over the board with it kind of like the youtube prophets if you ever watch them no i'm not being disrespectful but they're all over the board i mean they contradict each other and with a dream and god said i mean this this happened in the church okay they're sincere they're searching trying to figure this thing out okay when's the lord coming then i found this little humorous they used the ark of the covenant the measurements of the ark are two in one hat and this is breaking it down into our understanding two and a half by one and a half by one and a half cubits the total measurements is five and a half cubits they translated that as five thousand five hundred years and he just said that we are now from the birth of christ to where we are now five thousand five hundred and fifty years so now they're saying wait a minute the ark of the covenant conceals a code he was saying this what does it mean it means that we're right we're at the time frame we're at the time frame it's about to happen here's what he said this is what he said from the birth of christ we must reckon that 500 years that remain remains to make up the 600 year and thus will the envy which would be at the end of the fifth century so augustine is now writing preparing people for the end of the fifth century for what a one thousand year reign of christ but not necessarily christ coming to earth the church ruling the earth known as dominion theology now you guys in the word heavy understand where i'm coming from don't you on that because it's a little complicated then he said at the crucifixion it says now it was the sixth hour which they interpreted as the sixth thousandth year so jesus is about to die in the sixth hour which is the sixth thousandth year and the six thousand year is going to be at the end of the fifth century his this is what he figured the persians ruled for 330 years the greeks ruled for 300 years and the roman beasts would rule for 500 years that's the roman empire what we call imperial rome which was in the time of jesus in the time of the apostles in the time of these early fathers and then you have the ten horns the antichrist the persecution and then the lord's return so they figured is everybody still tracking are you now that's why i like your kids you get it better than some of the older saints do and i hope the older saints watching me didn't take offense to that but i hope you're getting it i don't want to i don't want to leave you out there you know i want you to get this so everybody everybody's with me so here's what happened they figured under hippolytus and under augustine and all these writings that are now going on and they're being handed down and spoken and repeated they figured that jesus should return around 450 to 500 a.d a geologist wrote in 332 a.d 300 years after the crucifixion and dated the time of adam to his day at thousand one hundred and fifty eight years the reason i'm sharing that with you about their dating system is their date was off one thousand five hundred years because we believe they used the septuagint translation of the old testament instead of using the jewish history that the jews knew because honestly the early fathers did not like jewish rabbis at all they didn't like anything jewish i hate to say that but it's just true and so they didn't want to deal with all that so they septuagint is the old testament translated into greek 150 bc i think 13150 where 70 scholars got together and took the hebrew and translated it from the old testament into greek it's called the septuagint of the septuagint and that book was the translation used in the synagogues in jesus day in the galilee now when you went to jerusalem you used the hebrew scriptures and the torah in hebrew but because of the influence of alexander the great and the hellenistic empire that and can we can we go real deep are you all able to go real deep for a minute okay when satan tempted jesus in luke 4 and matthew 4 satan says bow and worship me uh and i'll give you the kingdoms of the world for it is written and he quotes this verse okay then he tells jesus to cast himself down for it is written he shall give his angels charged concerning thee and in their hands they shall bear thee up lest at any time you dash your foot against the stone and if you read that in the hebrew it comes from psalms and lest at any time is not found there now i used to think satan just added to the scripture he didn't ready he quoted the septuagint because the septuagint adds lest at any time and it's just an addition it doesn't make it doesn't do harm to it but it does in this case because it says to jesus you can jump off at any time and god will take care of you and that's not what that verse is saying so the septuagint was known in christ's day therefore the the greeks the greek and the latin fathers let's just say it this way the gentile fathers were using the septuagint translation and here's what happens when you go to the jewish translation and was it anger that wrote the chronology the history of the years i think it was he said that from adam to the birth of jesus is four thousand four years and that's about right and he said this father said from adam to the birth of christ is 5 hundred fifty years the guy is one thousand five hundred years off so all of their predictions and theologies of the six thousand years are fifteen hundred years off because if you take the fifth century okay attract with me here if we go to the end of the fifth century and we add the correct missing numbers it takes us to the year 2000. which was the beginning of i mean if you remember you know 9 11 and the attacks that started the end of the end was that year if you think about it really is now lord i tell you what y'all i'm about to run around this building okay now where do they get the idea i want i wanna i wanna talk about this for a moment because it is an interesting theory they they were very heavy into the six thousand year theory the jewish talmud says quote the world as we knew it will exist for six thousand years the first two thousand will be chaos the second two thousand you will be marked with the torah and the final two thousand will be the messianic age that's what it's been from the time of christ the messiah's crucifixion to right now it has been the age of the messiah and the gospel and the redemption and the and the resurrection of the dead and preaching for almost for about well we're not quite from 33 a.d when he went up we have to go to 32 to actually make it 2 000. did you just hear what i said yes okay everybody goes with the birth and they start the birth but the church was born after he ascended and the holy spirit came after he was sent so the church age begins in 32 33 so we're in 2021 we are still about 13 14 years away from the from that is this side getting i don't know if this side's asleep i can't get i can't get a response moving i know you're listening i'm cutting up with you isn't that wild all right now it gets craz it gets interesting to say the least here we go the first two thousand years was adam to abraham leaving the land of er which is one thousand hundred years the second 2000 was from isaac to the birth of jesus which is actually around 2048 years and the third time was from the birth of christ to the present age now i'm going to use our calendar because if we start going julian calendar jewish calendar muslim calendar prophetic calendar 360 years makes a day it is all over the board so i believe that when god counts time right now he counts it on a gentile calendar then when the rapture happens this is deep you go to the book of revelation that during the seven year tribulation after the rapture all the timing changes the seven year tribulation in the book of revelation is 1260 days then another 1260 days which is called by john 42 months and 42 months but they are counting if you add it up a 360 days a year and not 365 days a year go look at it it's not the same calendar we have now and maybe that's the reason why jesus said no let's go back i added it up if we took seven years from our 365.25 days making your calendar and we go into the book of revelation where the calendar is seven years of 360 days and it is guess how many days short the tribulation is compared to what it would be if god used our calendar 35 and a half days uh you see what i'm saying because 365 is five days more than 360. so you got seven years three times five step 35. i flunked math but i i feel good about myself right now i really did flunk math now now you know i meditate i said okay jesus this is really weird because what you just did not weird jesus i'm not saying you're weird i'm just thinking this is just kind of what i'm reading it's weird but i said what you just did was you went back to the calendar that noah used in his day which was 360 days making a year because it said the flood was on the earth for 150 days which is five months 150 days at five months 30 30 days a month so the old calendar was 360 days making a year all calendars before the 7th century bc were 360 days making a year it shifted something happened they they say cosm in the cosmos something happened that shifted it but five extra days got added on 5.25 days a year everybody tracking with me what's our year 365.25 days making a year what's the years of the tribulation seven years of 360 days making a year 35 days short and jesus said except the days be shortened no flesh would be saved meaning he will shorten them by using a different calendar wow because if you added those other 35 days on the battle of armageddon's happened weapons are being used mystery babylon has been nuked how do i know that because it says the smoke that destroys it in an hour the mega the mega the the great city mega city so jesus says you know what we're gonna have to change the counter and take it back to where it used to be because if we don't if we gave man 30 and the antichrist 35 additional days all flesh would be wiped out so he said when they go to armageddon that's when i'm coming back and i'm taking the thing over jesus says you know i don't want to disrupt the moment but give the lord a praise for his word would you do that right now gibbon in history of the history and father of an empire he wrote that book that our founders who founded the united states read i don't know if you know this but all the united states founders knew latin and greek just about they studied and knew it they knew roman greek history and that's why everything in dc is done in roman greek architecture that's why we have are so parallel with rome they had a senate we had us their emblem was an eagle our emblem is an eagle i mean you want to give me you want to give you 20 parallels of rome and empire and america they're there all right but watch what gibbons said in in ancient among ancient popular doctrines as the work of creation had been finished in six days their duration in the present state according to a tradition that was attributed to elijah was mixed at 6 000 years and here's the verse they use and here again they're going all over the place trying to figure it out right trying to search when is he coming back god says i have left me seven thousand in israel all knees which have not bowed to baal and every mouth which has not kissed him so since that happened to elijah and that is a number god gave elijah and since in malachi chapter three four verse five elijah the prophet will come as one of the two witnesses before the great and terrible day of the lord the seven thousand was taken to represent seven thousand years can they do that are they messing with the bible by making a day turn into a year no and i'll explain why you read your bible israel wandered in the wilderness for 40 years for this reason spies went into the land for 40 days 10 came back saying we can't do it two came back saying we can they fell into unbelief and god's god said i quote you will have one year for every day that you didn't believe and he sent them 40 years in the wilderness for 40 days of unbelief that's in your bible the prophet ezekiel is told their sins of israel and their sins of judah sins of israel are greater he had to lay on one side over 300 days to represent the over 300 years that israel was sending and elaine had to lay on that side 40 days for the 40 years that judah you know god's rough on real prophets everybody listen to me everybody wants to be a prophet look john the baptist had to wear camels here and a leather girdle and eat locusts and wild honey everybody wants to be a prophet and be famous and yeah i say unto thee i'm going to bless you let me tell you real people that hear from god live in misery because you know what can tell you why not because of serving god because of the burden they have to live under and the things they have to prophesy to people that they hate to tell people it's a burden to carry a weight of being prophetic and then half the world don't agree with you when you preach preach on perry i'm going to hallelujah glory to god here's the fathers who look to the theory that god created the earth in six days rested on the seventh day there would be six thousand years of man's government revelation 20 we shall rule and reign with christ for a thousand years that's the seventh day of creation because it said god rested on the seventh day and the seventh day or the seventh thousandth year of man's history from adam is the millennial reign of jesus aranaya said this for as many days as the world was made in so many thousands shall it be concluded hippolytus said this after six thousand years must need be accomplished in order for that sabbath to come the holy day on which god rested from all of his works lactantius who lived from 2 30 i'm sorry 260 a.d to uh i think it says here 3 30. writing in 300 calculated that 5 500 years had elapsed since creation placing the dawn of the seventh millennium 500 years from that time he wrote if zibia said this he lived from 265 to 340 a.d he calculated the same time that 5 200 years had a lap since creation this would place uh his time or the seventh millennium when jesus would rule and reign for a thousand years coming again in so many uh so many uh 700 years cyprian who lived 200 to 258 a.d in an ancient um is an ancient adversary and an old enemy with whom we wage our battles talk about satan and six thousand years we are nearly completed since the devil first attacked mankind having calculated their contemporary calendars on the basis of greek translations of the old testament and a flawed system of reckoning between the second third and fourth centuries they believed and lived in the imminent hope of what's called the kingdom age that jesus would return and rule for 1 000 years and at the time of most of their writings they calculated it would happen on an average of depending on when they wrote 700 years from the date they wrote to 500 years from the date they wrote and now what why is it important to understand that now here's where it gets very interesting i love i love you know history roman history greek history american history but watch what happens now this is important when we get to the fifth century let's just let's just look at it this way first century a hundred a.d second century a.d 304 when we get to 500 something had happened that none of those fathers expected and here's what it was the fall of the western roman empire a um jerome in bethlehem wept like a baby when he heard that rome fell because he they believe it was the greatest empire on the earth now track with me you i feel the holy ghost like right now like crazy jesus help me so you have to remember that for 300 years they were looking at emperors being the antichrist rome was divided among ten pagan tribes they said that's the ten kings that john saw the antichrist has ten kings they're putting this together like this now all of a sudden watch the kingdom of the antichrist western rome has collapsed ten kings took over now what are we going to preach now what's happening and all of a sudden way away in what today is the country of turkey which was then called constantinople constantine built a brand new room called the new rome and set up something called the byzantine empires now this is going to blow your little minds that meant its own gold coins that set a very huge trade around that part of the world that began to go back to the holy land and build churches in the sixth century 5th and 6th century before the muslims invaded and the byzantines built a church everywhere jesus walked they eventually the crusaders came along in the 11th 12th century and escorted pilgrims into the holy land when they had possession of palestine and jerusalem and my point is this you're ready for this the byzantine empire which was a religious slash political empire lasted for exactly a thousand years and it was taken over by the muslims in the 15th century san sophia's church was turned into a mosque i mean turkey it's all it's all over there in turkey that's where all this happened all right called the ottoman turkish empire they rose to power 12th century 1517 went to jerusalem and started rebuilding the walls of jerusalem not knowing that the bible predicted one day strangers will rebuild your walls they didn't even know that was in the bible they're building the walls don't go ahead yourself perry okay i won't now let's go back here's what began to happen when the western roman empire fell with its emperors and politicians in 800 charlemagne came and began to establish the holy roman empire i'm going to make this in a simple statement to help you understand what messed up they began to teach that by the fifth century the kingdom of god was coming to earth by the fifth century the church was going to rule and reign with christ they got to the point where they almost believed we don't need watch this we don't need jesus to come back we need spiritual leaders to control the earth so it's replacement theology jesus is on his throne but we're going to do it so they start teaching the church was going to be and so what happened is when the byzantines started building their empire they felt they were the empire of prophecy to set up the kingdom of god if you've ever watched that movie and i don't recommend watching it's very violent but i love history so i watched it forgive me jesus but anyway it's called the kingdom of heaven and it's saladin who was muslim and it's a man who was from royalty and it deals with the battle of the city of jerusalem between the muslim and the crusaders and that literally happened that way that movie is pretty much accurate as far as the way it happened so here's you ready listen carefully we're going we're going to try now we're going to track something so what happened is in 6th century when rome fell political rome became spiritual rome and the pope took over so the pope is not the vicar of christ he now represents christ on earth now the byzantines are over here building an empire which is a religious i mean it they got coins with jesus face on it i got one of it's gold coin with jesus face they are a they are a christian empire they are they are boldly presented as a christian power then they're going to the holy and taking all this money building these i'm talking beautiful churches unbelievable everywhere everywhere jesus walk is a byzantine church and they mark it with the big cross but here's what messed everything up in their theory that the fifth century began the kingdom of god on earth they expected it six thousand years has gone by the kingdom has come but it's not the return of christ ready it's not the rapture there are young preachers right now and some of them i know i don't know if you know any but there's young preachers right now that i know who are preaching that the world is not going to get worse it's going to get better now that's their opinion they have the right to their opinion i'm not going to rebuke them but i'm telling you i've been i have 175 000 hours of bible study and i'm going to tell you does it look like it's getting better they're taking all the conservatives over the platform uh cnn made a statement jensen franklin texted me and said cnn made a statement of how they are going to remove off the internet off of christian off of television stations and off of radio every conservative voice they can find including behind the scenes preachers they're going after us is it getting better the bible says perilous times will come that's what the bible says the bible second thessalonians 2 said there's a lawlessness that's come there's a spirit of lawlessness in the earth and a falling away before the lord returns stick let me tell you something we will never go wrong by sticking with what the bible says even if it's not popular stick with what the bible says even if they make fun of you which they do with me stick with what the bible says but stick with you never go wrong stick with scripture now watch this this gets really this gets really interesting here so now they're the the the kingdom is not jesus coming back to rule and reign right the kingdom is the pope vicar of christ on the earth and what do they start doing now this is not a negative toward the roman church please trust me because my great-grandparents were all catholic from italy okay and uh so i know a lot about that part of the world i'm italian background so this if you're watching me please don't get offended i'm just making a historical fact what happened was is the pope begin to elect the kings of england the kings of europe i should say and so the catholic church with the cardinals would go in and appoint a political leader subject to the church so in their idea they are setting up the kingdom you see what i'm saying my point is the theology went from sound bible theology jesus is coming again to eventually men forming this kingdom but something messed it up the rise of islam because a little a man named muhammad went to a cave allegedly to pray and it you know i'm just going to say this because i know a lot of muslims some of my best friends in the world believe this or not are i call them backslid muslims they're muslim in name they go to the mosque and pray to jesus okay that's what that you're a backstage muslim if you do that you're actually doing the right thing but you do okay so um so muhammad is in arabia we call it saudi arabia and they have a well of water that his grandfather has the keys to and there's this really weird looking black stone that nobody knows what it is and they come and people will kiss that stone and they put idols around the stone well they actually came there to get drinks of water for their camels and you know animals and it was big oasis his grandfather had the keys muhammad got upset because he said they all these can't be real all these can't be there's only one god so he began a one god crusade went up into a cave to pray claims the angel gabriel came to him and gave him a revelation about how man how man came from a clot from the ground that god used to form blood and so the first revelation is not really crazy it's like well that's strange but then gabriel says to him allegedly god has no son jesus is not the son of god now i'm going to tell you it may have been an angel but that wasn't gabriel and that's why paul said though we are an angel from heaven come preaching any other gospel than that which you've heard let the angel be accursed he knew this was going to happen god must have showed him a future time well to make a long story short islam got into a battle with jews and christians i have i have muslims that send me qurans i've got three qurans in my office and i can't hardly read them honestly because they're hard it's kind of they would say the same thing about the bible it's just kind of hard to read at times because it jumps around the stories jumps around but the first part or some parts of it seem to be peaceful to jews honor the people of the book respect the people of the book and then later the people of the book who the jews and christians especially the jews cut their heads off when the festivals are over so what happened i asked a guy who was a muslim for 50 years who's a friend of mine sam i don't know if you met sam on our meetings i said sam what happened to islam and he said i believe that from my studies because sam can quote the whole quran he knows the hadith which is their traditions he knows everything about it and sam said i believe that muhammad was hungry for god a spirit came to him of some kind and started telling him false information and he said he said no this is my opinion is ex-muslim and he said i believe that when they didn't call him a prophet he only had a few arabs that called him a prophet but when the jews and christians told him your doctrine is off and you're not a prophet that's when he became angry at them and his whole spirit turned against him are you with me on that so there are some very confusing verses in the quran because some will be positive toward people of the book which would be us and others will be very very negative toward people of the book so i don't want to spend a whole time talking about islam i think people who've been there should be the specialist in that field more than someone like myself who's been raised in christian family what happened was from about the 7th century all the way through the the 14th century when they when the muslims took over constantinople and crushed the byzantine empire there was a war between muslims and christians in the middle east in europe and also over what was then called palestine in jerusalem and it went back and forth and back and forth now the situation they dealt with was they could never effectively set up this kingdom then what don't get me wrong the kingdom of god is on earth now but it's a spiritual kingdom not a political right that's where people make the mistake they make it a political kingdom and look you can't have a kingdom without a king and our king is not here yet he's there but when he comes back then we will have a physical a physical literal political monarchy combination everybody got that raise your hand if you got that now it's interesting to note this is my kind of stuff it is interesting to note that when you come to the ascension of jesus and the destruction of the temple 40 years later and the destruction of jerusalem and the jews being dispersed when you come to that moment and you start moving into the third fourth fifth sixth seventh eighth ninth tenth eleven twelve thirteen fourteen 15 16. 17th century you don't see hardly any biblical prophecy being fulfilled related to the return of jesus and i'm going to explain to you why because everybody struck try to set up the kingdom of god through their own method the byzantines at 1 000 years failed but in the 1600s let me say 16-11 17th century 16-11 king james had the bible translated to english when king james translated the bible to english the british empire england and britain began to prosper unbelievably god began to bless them but watch this they started a doc they started a teaching that said we are descendants of one of the two sons of of tamar you remember you had the two sons with the red threads tied around them because british in hebrew is two words brit covenant-ish man and the british called themselves the seed of judah and covenant people they even had a big stone that the queen sat under in one of their thrones that was supposed to be the stone that they went to israel and got centuries ago that jacob put his head on when he had the vision of the latter they were sworn in with that stone underneath them now i don't want to get into all of what they call british israelism where the british compared themselves to israel in everything symbolism and doctrine and rules and laws and everything so watch so england and britain now believes we are the kingdom i'm going through i'm giving you history just abbreviated of god and we are to spread the kingdom of god on the earth why do you think the british put all the mission english put all the missionaries out there livingston and all these men all these people that came to africa came from britain and england the first revivalist came from britain in england you know why they took the 13 colonies and started making them over here because if you take the word now this came from a german scholar so i'm assuming he's right if he's a scholar you take america and put it in the archaic form of the german language it means kingdom of heaven they're coming over here the sun didn't set on the british empire they went and colonized india and the islands and over here and over there and in the united states you know what they're doing they're going to take over the world and set up the kingdom of god through britain and england because they think they are spiritual jews i've got the books from the 16th 1700s that explain it and they go to scripture and they have child there's a chart that takes all the way from ferez in zero and traces the kings and the queens all the way down to the 1700s family names they believed it and everything was going great for them they gave us the english translation of the bible everything is going great they're separating from traditions of rome they're separating from that roman system now they're coming into a protest system protestant the germans and the english became protestants everything looked great man his kingdom's working but something messed it up oh my goodness and it was when the 13 colonies in 1776 decided that they were going to separate from britain and england and i have just read this and i'm actually writing a book not about this but i'm mentioning this but i actually read this where the preachers were beginning to preach that the american revolution was because the kingdom was coming and jesus would set up his kingdom in america it's amazing and they said it is our duty to fight the the british and the english we must destroy tyrants benjamin franklin comes along i think it was franklin and he wanted to put a seal out that had the children of israel crossing the red sea with the words death to tyrants under it they looked at themselves as people who had crossed the sea for religious freedom the same way that the children of israel had crossed the red sea why do you think they chose 13 colonies because there were 13 israel tribes cotton matthew gov the governor up in massachusetts he wanted to make the hebrew language the official language of the colonies because they hated the english the pilgrims had not come over with the king james bible they didn't come over our early founders 16 says oh seven the king james was in 1611 1620 they brought the geneva bible because the the geneva bible had personal notes that had been written in it and the king did not like it because he didn't like people interpreting the bible their own way but the geneva bible is what they brought they hated the king james bible it got dead right there i knew it i knew i'd lose somebody but they but they only despised it because the king had done it wasn't the word they hated it wasn't even the translation they didn't like but they just didn't like it because the king who controlled the church of england where we're getting away from that king and we don't want anything in our hands that looks like him and of course later the king james became the popular bible in the 1800s in the united states and that's what i've learned to quote by the way for you that are watching who think i just defended the king james i didn't you still tracking have you ever heard this kind of history before so america comes along and does manifest destiny manifest destiny was designed originally for us to try to convert everybody to the gospel it was actually set up to try to convert the native americans to christianity i'm going to tell you the part i have a book that thick i apologize for not being able to give you the title because it's it was 20 years ago when i read it but it's that thick on american history and it says that the reason for first of all manifest destiny term came from a new york times journalist who was a christian yeah that's right the new york times used to have christians working for him i said that because i wanted to say it that way yes i don't know there's probably people working up there it's christians just the way they write you don't always know let's say it this way the main writers must not be and there's probably a lot of good people up there but anyway they began to say that the goal of the united states was to help people come into the more back then modern way of thinking we would call it today progressive way of thinking that's not a good word today among most of us with what it means then they said but it's also our goal to con to win the people for the kingdom of god and the gospel now i'll tell you something's going to really shock you the united states of america i found this out in israel research that from a professor told me and it's true that the united states of america in the 1800s it was the federal government of the united states and our state department leaders who were supporting and raising up their children to be missionaries in syria one of the first english speaking colleges was put in you still the name of it slipped my mind now and the american colony hotel where we go on an israel trip we're not far from the american colony hotel you've been there right it's the oldest hotel in israel it was built by missionaries to serve missionaries who needed a place to stay it's a fabulous old hotel world leaders have stayed there but needed a place to stay when they were coming to evangelize the people and guess what song original handwriting was pinned by a man who was on a ship on his way to palestine the man that lost his kids in that storm it is well written and pinned at the american colony hotel with my soul it is well it is well with my soul america was on a road of becoming a miniature power of taking the gospel by missionaries around the world which is what britain and english english england's assignment was and britain and england's assignment started shifting in the mid-1800s because there were for 30 years english men who studied prophecy blackstone was one of them who told the british based on my numerology of the book of daniel you are going to be responsible around 1917 to taking over palestine from the muslims and the leaders of britain and england started hearing messages in parliament karen i've got all this in history and they start hearing preachers on the street proclaim our destiny is to restore palestine to the jewish people we will read to you the scriptures that the gentiles must do this and they started putting in the ear of england and britain to do this and america was in the middle saying wait a minute what's our assignment so they begin to hear these messages and then our prophetic preachers begin to get raised up and then something totally messed up manifest destiny totally messed up america being the place where the kingdom of god would be set up physically and it was called ready the civil war and every time karen that a nation or an empire attempted to make themselves the kingdom without the king and put men in charge to be as though they were the voice of god god always brought it down but pay attention to me charles finney figured it out he said wait a minute and i'm going to paraphrase some things that i've studied we are attempting to set up a kingdom without a king and the king must return and so all of a sudden the songs begin to change two we are watching for the coming of that glad millennial day when our blessed savior will return and call his saints away oh my heart so y'all don't know that it's filled with rapture as i labor watch and pray for the lord is coming back to earth the 1800s all the songs karen were written earlier about the majesty of god the holiness of god the gra and all of a sudden hymns started changing to he's returning listen to me god i feel the holy ghost when finally the western powers of england britain and america when they finally realized that their goal was not to create like the roman church tried a physical kingdom on earth where men rule and they are the kings and the leaders and we look to them for all of our spiritual enlightenment and help and that only king jesus could do it and it would take his return karen when they got it right after the civil war prophecies start kicking in of jesus returning and the prophecies start being fulfilled first thing that happened eliezer ben yehuda restored the jewish language to the hebrew people and started doing it in the late 1800s and the bible says i will restore to you a pure language it was a prophecy he read then in 1917 the british went to palestine and general edmund allenby who was a christian general glory to god had a war with the muslims and took over palestine and took over the city of jerusalem and you know how he did it you want to hear something really bizarre isaiah said this as birds flying so the lord of hosts shall defend jerusalem passing over he will preserve it and a mechanic in england read that after hearing his preacher preach and the preacher said wait a minute birds flying are the aeroplanes they're going to fly airplanes over and they this they got word to allenby fly planes over jerusalem this is how the bible said it'll it'll be free alan be printed you got to remember this is 1917 man some of these people ain't seen a plane i don't know what it is they they print these leaflets that demand for the muslims to surrender jerusalem to allenby and when they signed it in the language the arabic language instead of alan b it read allah nebi and allah is god and nebe is prophet and they read they see these pla scout planes flying dropping these papers telling them to give up the city sign the prophet of god and the muslims have these weird prophecies like we will never give up th this area will never give up palestine till the waters come from the nile river and the british were laying pipes from the nile river to bring water through the desert for their troops hey and they heard about it and scared them all and they surrendered jerusalem after 400 years to the british and gave the key to the cook and the cook gave it to allen be the key to the city and they never fired a shot because allenby wanted no bloodshed in the holy city in 1917 and the british held on it held on it to it to 1948 and in 1948 the mandate of palestine concluded and when it concluded and the british stepped out with their troops david ben-gurion stood up in maine at 14th 1948. and that was and that was the day prophets rolled over their grave that's the day saints spirits in heavens were shouting that's the day isaiah was screaming because he announced today we will form a new state and we will call it by the ancient name israel and isaiah said a nation would be born in a day when zion travails shall bring forth her children isaiah chapter 66 and ladies and gentlemen and young people all of a sudden prophecy started going crazy the healing revival came the charismatic renewal came which was an early early rain ladder and outpouring of the holy spirit all of a sudden jerusalem is recaptured in 1967 united as the capital of israel fulfilling many old testament prophecies the jews are suddenly coming back from russia that was spoken and predicted by jeremiah they will come from the north country and the epitomes from the north shall be greater than the exodus from egypt he said it more jews have returned from russia than left egypt that's a prophecy of jeremiah that's 2600 years old the desert shall rejoice and blossom like a rose the the hebrew word desert is aruva it's south of the dead sea all the way to the gulf of aqaba it's 120 miles long 8 to 10 8 to 20 miles wide i've been there they found water underground they didn't know it was there we're talking about 30 years ago they brought the water out now in the desert where there was nothing there's 55 farms that produce fruit and food twice a year produces 30 more tomatoes than we can 25 more medals than we can and the cows give a thousand gallons of more milk a year than any american cow they're not hosting they're called ghostines that's a jewish name by the way could stand here right now and start bam bam quote you 20 prophecies to 30 that have not happened any time in history since jesus went up until after 1948. and so here's what happened finally after everybody first of all the the fathers got it wrong all the stuff was supposed to happen when you come toward the end of the 6 000 years and that's that time frame of 1948 58 68 70 88 yeah that's the time frame and that's when it really started being fulfilled so what do we where are we going i tell you where we're going we are headed toward eventually the ruling reign of christ on earth for one thousand years and everyone who has served him and followed him and be faithful to him can expect three things number one at some point an unexpected expected catching up and the dead of cr dead in christ only not everybody the dead in christ being raised and us going to heaven for three things number one we will have a worship service together because in the book of revelation very early it said where has this multitude come from and the bible says we are those who he has redeemed out of every nation kindred tongue and people we are going to be there worshiping first revelation 11 when the beast system has unleashed in the last kingdom on earth the eighth kingdom that lasts for 42 months we are at abhema in heaven now has come the time to judge those who fear his name and the prophets and those who love him and we will come to the bema which is a judgment seat of christ and that's going to be a really fearful time get it all under the blood folks i'm telling you get it all under the blood because you'll have to answer for what you have said and what you have done if you were just you if you were pardon me a lazy tale i'm not going to use another word but if you were a lazy tale and you didn't do nothing for god and you didn't witness to nobody but you you served him and loved him you don't have a reward waiting for you in heaven you won't have a crown the bible says there'll be of people taking other people's crowns and the bible says the idol words you lied on somebody you gossiped on somebody you didn't make it right you didn't go and say i'm sorry i should have never done that you'll answer for that are you listening this is a scary thing paul even said it's a fearful thing to fall in the hands of an angry god our god is a consuming fire that judgment is frightening i'm just telling you even paul talked about it these early fathers some of them on their death bed the thing they feared the most was standing before god did they did they teach it right did they say it right look i wouldn't be a false prophet prophesying phony stuff if my life depended on it god take me out soon and now if i'm going to end up a false prophet i will only speak what the lord says and when he says to do it because these men that deceive people with any kind of a word they'll say the lord to you you're going to go blah blah blah blah blah just to please the ears and tickle the ears of people that's a dangerous thing even the bible says if you're going to be a teacher you're you're accountable double compared to somebody who's not a teacher that's why you have to stay in the book that's why you stay in it now here's where we're at there's only whoa y'all excuse me while i shout a little bit i wish somebody shout for me just shout for chef for the preacher right here to shout for the preacher right here there's there's a lot of different things i could add but i'm just about done with this because i want to get to the this part for all of you uh in in in the study of the word and you know god has helped me i look back on this the other day rick i had that old testament new testament commentary on my table and i sat there and shook my head and said did i really do that it took me seven years to write a million page commentary on the bible that's probably why i ended up in the fetal position on the floor you know early in the morning couldn't get up for a couple weeks actually about two months because i was just wore out but i've written about 75 books and some of them are not the little many ones some of them are 2 25 to 280 pages and the lord's helped me to be able to get his word out with all these different things so what i'm saying to you is i'm a person that can stand here and tell you i have studied what needs to happen next that's all i'm saying i've looked at what he said so i'm not saying this because brother shikamot shire sister gave me a word you know this is what's going to happen perry all right i'm going to give you i'm going to tell you some things real quickly number one is the gospel in matthew 24 14 if you're keeping notes you know this verse for the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness unto all nations and then the end would come you know what's strange about that verse you would think the chapter would end right there okay here's the signs here's the wars here's the famines here's the offenses the gospels preach the incomes period next chapter then it says and then there shall be an abomination that makes jerusalem destiny he takes you into they didn't know what he was talking about but he takes you into what john tells you in revelation about that image of the beast that speaks and lives that's the abomination that makes jerusalem desolate so jesus doesn't end by saying then the in what is the incoming if he's still telling the story what has ended answer church age the church he's finished with the church he's done we've been caught up to meet the lord you with me because then he starts going into tribulation cosmic signs that's all the book of revelation there now now they didn't know the book of revelation that's what john saw uh what how many years would that be what's 32 a.d to 70 no i'm sorry 95 95 would be 30 40 50. about 60 john sees this 60 years later in details to help explain what christ was telling people okay so the gospel has to be preached now what does that mean it means this covenant ain't going to last forever god ain't going to let this covet last forever where missionaries can't go and preachers can't preach and you can't have outdoor moves fooling on you devil you preempted us to shut us up but guess what we ain't going nowhere and the gospel is going to get preached whether you like it or not it's going to it's going to be preached if jesus told us to lay hands on people we're not going to sit in the united states of america forever six feet apart six feet apart six feet apart you're not laying hands on somebody we're gonna go back one of these days to saying despite heaven hell and government we'll lay hands on people and pray for them when the time comes when the holy spirit releases because because you listen to me god can't be denied and it doesn't matter what part is in charge god can't be denied because god's in charge of what he's about to do in the earth he's not going to be denied hmm so the gospel's got to be preached now here's the one that thrills me the most and i'm going to wrap it up here with this the one that thrills me the most is joel 2 where it says sons and daughters i will pour out my spirit upon all flesh sons and daughters will prophesy old men will dream dreams and young men will see visions now let me ask a question how many of you have dreams that you know come from the lord raise your hand look at this look at this it's the whole group you know and you know okay how many you've ever had a vision which is different from a dream it's full color three-dimensional like you're actually going through it
