The Pokemon Game Where you BECOME A GYM LEADER

have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a gym leader in Pokemon well it turns out there's a game out there that lets you do just that it's called Pokemon this Gem of mine this game lets you live out the fantasy of becoming a gym leader in the Pokemon world and today our goal is to become the most powerful gym leader that the Pokemon world has ever seen let's get started shall we if you know anything about Pokemon gyms you know that they always specialize in a single type our gym is no different right as we begin the game we're presented with our most important choice oh I get to choose my type before we get to which type I chose let me know down in the comments which type you would choose for your gym the way I see it if we want to be the best we have to start by picking the most powerful type choose bug ooh no which means that there are really only three choices fairy steel and of course Dragon those are the three most powerful types with the most powerful Pokemon in them and for this I think it's clear that if you want to be the best you gotta choose Dragon after settling on being a dragon trainer we have another huge decision to make which Pokemon do we start with luckily our three choices happen to be the first evolutions of some of the most powerful Pokemon of all time so I think we're on the right track here I think dark coverage is gonna be harder to get hydrogon does take an eternity to evolve but when it does though oh the coverage is insane I have to I have to go with my gut yeah with our dragon type Destiny set we arrive at our new home where we meet the mayor of our new city oh I'm the mayor there Dalton I'll be responsible for keeping you up to date and whatnot can I get your name daddy Q wonderful I can sense you'll do great you certainly can't be any worse than the last one I don't know what happened but it just left the city to rot one day well buddy that's my plan too after meeting the mayor we have to make our way through the Winding Woods to get to town should be easy enough right no we're gonna die oh we're dead literally our first real battle and we already lost after recovering from that uh Rocky start we finally arrive at Humble City where we meet back up with the mayor who shows us our new gym and our new house I don't like that he has no walking animation this is your home as we head inside our home we find that someone left us a very important gift we get a signature move and it's dragon settled we head back to meet up with the mayor again but find that the entrance to City Hall is blocked by an evil goon this city is no longer named humble its new name is garbage City this is our introduction to the local gang the Rogue Riders this guy is not very nice that's it now I'm mad get ready to faint boosh imagine with the crowd dispersed we head inside City Hall where we meet back up with the mayor here he tells us a little bit more information about the restrictions on the Pokemon we can use as a gym leader you can use a maximum of two Pokemon that do not share a type with your gym they have to know your Jim's signature move though he also tells us that we need to hire people to work at our gym so we head back to our mailbox to review our applications there are applications here which one do you want to check out so the person we choose affects the trainers that are going to come into our gym wow you know I think for what makes a mxus pillar because our gym leader Easy Choice the last step before we can finally open our gym is to build a team of three Elite dragons worthy of a true gym leader so we begin to explore the world to seek out any dragon types that we can find as we're doing this we get to see all the diverse crazy Pokemon native to the region that surround the city before I show you my favorite one that we found I want to ask you to like the video and subscribe to the channel if you're enjoying it it really does help me out especially because I'm on a mission to reach 500 000 subscribers this year and I can't do it alone as a reward here's that cool Pokemon that I promised is that a fire rock Onyx it has custom Pokemon in this game what what we continue to seek out any dragons for our team until eventually we stumble across a promising location to search for new Pokemon after catching a handful of dragon types we start to roughly plan our initial team of three so I think it's gonna be Harry Grandpa and ham and we have to put ham as our Ace right so he goes last with our team settled we start to make our way back into town but on our way there this kind stranger politely educates us about a critical weakness that we may have overlooked while building out this squad oh it knows fairy wind we absolutely need a Pokemon that's able to resist fairies or else we're in serious trouble that means that we either need a poison or a Steel type on the team we decide steel is the cooler and probably stronger options so we set out to catch one of the errands that we saw earlier after catching our first little guy we find out that in this game there's a regional variant of the Agron line that's a steel dragon dual type which is an absolutely perfect fit for our team unfortunately the first and second Aaron that we catch have the literal worst nature that they could possibly have how do we get to with the worst Natures possible so we have to go out and catch a third I'll never forget you Aaron one one and two adamant nature now that's what I'm sure finally after all that team building we settle in on Aaron asks are Ace Dino as our core team of three then it's off to the gym to get our first day started it's at this point we realized the typical day of a gym leader basically boils down to standing in a room and defeating the faceless hordes of random trainers that wander in for us this is especially easy because our Aaron happens to know the move Dragon Rage which just does 40 damage no matter what and at this point in the game literally no Pokemon has more than 40 HP I'll admit this strategy is a little lame but if we really want to be the best we have to use everything at our disposal we finish up our first day undefeated then we head home and rest up before starting day two where we get back to the grind while we cruise through day one our second day at the Helm of the gym is a little bit more Rocky I used Hardin on accident oh no we're so screwed it just one shot us oh no Harry please be faster we managed to clutch out that battle and finish out the rest of our second day without too much more trouble but then on the morning of day three we have an unexpected visitor ah daddy Q I'm so glad you could meet me here it seems you've already caused quite up to buzz in town not many will admit it but you've made quite the mark you sure about that Elizabeth what brings you here you know exactly why you think I'm gonna let another gym leader Waltz in here and not test them especially after the last one look I know you had a lot of faith in the last gym leader but that is no judge this one so harshly listen gym leader I'll be waiting in front of the gym no limits on your team or anything just one-on-one match got it not one to turn down a challenge we head over to our gym and face off against our strongest opponent yet oh no the fairy types at least we have metal cloth to Super effectively destroy the Clefairy this is the strongest trainer in town are you kidding me uh oh man this is the best you got for me after defeating Elizabeth and ranking up we decide to continue improving our gym with some new trainers bug catcher Carlos wants to apply no I'm not painter Anna though yeah Jacob I was wondering if I could join your gym I know it's a bit sudden but I would like to sign up yes I'm totally not joining because you're the only gym with the girl for a gym guide not that you would be wondering that right Jacob wants to apply allow him no nice try Jacob cool trainer Tim I'm gonna allow any cool trainers in my gym no bug catchers though with the applications reviewed we resume our duties as a gym leader hit this metal claw come on baby yeah nice try Cure Leah a few days pass and eventually the reality of the job really starts to set in we wake up we reject more bug catchers then it's back to the Grind of standing in our spot in the gym and destroying the comically weak masses of trainers finally after a few more days we're able to save up enough money to build our first building in the town these buildings make the town more lively and also I think that they increase the amount of money that you get from running your gym for a day why the gym leader has to personally Finance any construction in the town I'm not sure but it's a cool feature nonetheless all that urban planning was definitely exciting but soon it's back to reality after a couple more days of the grind a strange individual shows up outside of our gym if you like I can battle you with the team I made up of entirely blizzies that's so perfect yes I need training how amazing I love this level 50. wait we're gonna become such a high level this is gonna give us so much experience with the lucky egg how much is this gonna give us like 50 30 328 experience that's actually insane we're gonna evolve Aaron's evolving oh we're getting lyron we could get Agron right after this too whenever she comes to town this is my best friend we complete the training with our new favorite person then we decide to expand our team a bit by adding a Goomy oh there it is nice one dragon breath shouldn't kill it right it does kill it this does not go well yeah we spent an ungodly amount of time catching this guy and we don't even end up using it what oh why did they kill 2 000 years later after finally getting our Gumi we get the rest of our Pokemon out of the box and into shape hakamo Harry evolves into fracture Gretchen evolves into sligu so we have upgraded our team a bit then finally we resume our gym leaderly duties what a day what a day time to close up the gym after a few more long days of the gym leader hustle we discovered that we unlocked the commercial District in the north section of the town this District allows us to place new kinds of buildings and more importantly lets us go shopping it got insane items here I am at least going to buy Choice band and choice scarf and a life orb that should make us pretty strong with our new insane held items we get back into the gym where our team gets its first major Evolution yes everything seems to be going great we're just still undefeated as a gym leader insane has nothing to do with the fact that we're absurdly over level let's go ahead ahead and check out what's in the mailbox here bug catcher Carlos no shot cool trainer Lydia though you're in the Team Jacob dude stop it get some help you're not getting hired no we wrap up another day at the office when suddenly our life changes forever someone at the door they didn't just kidnap me did they all right let him out oh I was kidnapped Welcome to The Hideout gym leader how's your day going horrible I hope look we need you to lay low for a little bit think you can do that no too bad enjoy your stay oh and don't get any funny ideas hmm I have a bit of a funny idea oh thanks that's really kind of them now shut up for a couple days why don't you oh soda pop thanks what about something to eat oh I can get can I get unlimited lumbaries here yes I will take unlimited lumberries I'll be here for a minute after stock ing up on berries and beverages we can finally begin our Escape which goes okay oh hustle is really playing me right now I missed again another super potion come on man on the Miss I gotta I gotta get out I can't I can't fight all these people in here we spend way too long in here trying to get experience by beating up these goons which puts us in a tough spot as we run out of heels before we have our final battle against the guards at the front door at one point we get down to just Agron with no PP left on any move other than Dragon claw so we're stuck in a 2V1 battle with just one move but unfortunately for our opponents You Can't Hide greatness so of course we still win after clutching up that battle we're able to get out of the evil Hideout only to find that we're stuck in a place that we've never been with one Pokemon who only had pee on a single attack we managed to sneak past the horde of goons into the transition cave where we end up in the even better lands I don't know how I feel about these even batter lands with that green scientist looking like a zombie I gotta get out of here this is not the time to be exploring this dead and we get stuck back and the rider's Hideout oh at least resetting back into The Hideout gives our team a much needed full heal but as we're exiting the Badlands we make another critical error what the strongest trainer in the Badlands Tyranitar what level 71 Hyper Beam block Against All Odds we managed to best this random level 70 Tyranitar strongest train of the Badlands and meet back up with the mayor oh IQ you've escaped escaped figured that the rough try something like this bunch of idiots idiots say that again Old Timer here comes that leader now Edgar look pops my gang might not be the most polite group but we ain't no kidnappers whoever organized this is definitely gonna get thrashed we may be Crooks but we still have a rep to keep up you know listen closely and listen good gym leader this is a race who will win over the city first you or me I aim to win that race ferret Square now get home so I can bash some heads in peace I'm like a dad to a mall and a good parent exactly what they did wrong now Ram we return home safe and sound but the following morning we receive a troubling letter yo kid this is Edgar leader of the Rough Riders it's about time we settled this meet me in my Chambers in the Badlands I cannot promise that my gang will stand aside for you so better bring you 18. let's end this Feud P.S don't even think about telling that mayor of yours what's up this is between us should you call someone yeah no one I respect Edgar before we go out there to Duke it out with evil Edgar we have a few things to take care of in town welcome to starter Park hope you can find a new friend here can we find a new friend in starter Park there it is easily named Charlie with our 25 000 we can go up here talk to this man by building plans five spend all of our money on that head outside put the factory right next to the man who just ripped me off and create the factory yes got Charmeleon and then into Charizard finally with our team Juiced and the city safe for the time being we head out to face off against Edgar okay we need to avoid every trainer if possible we make our way back out to the Badlands then head into the Rogue Riders Hideout where we find the evil leader finally took you long enough tell me did you chat with that mayor of yours doesn't matter he probably would have found out one way or another he's nosy like that I'm tired of this nonsense the city is tired of this nonsense and I am almost certain you're tired of it too one round our best teams no more nonsense if I win you give up on the town and let us run the show if you win we'll keep our hands out of town sound good then we'll have no reason to hesitate what actually pretty good lead for us fire spin should take him out well it doesn't take him out but it does decent I'm doing it I'm going for it oh we can only use fire spin full restore that's actually pretty good for us I would say as long as we land this fire spin he dies oh no hyper potion okay of course is freed from fire spin how many pushes this guy have oh ow wow well at least Charizard got through all of his heels hopefully Flinch double Flinch oh my goodness this guy's the best RNG I've ever seen triple Flinch of course oh my goodness thank you finally Garchomp wait is he a dragon trainer too what flare Blitz crits we're good that should kill oh it doesn't kill we keep on healing we can't lose Agron or else we lose oh it had earthquake the whole time okay well maybe Giacomo can Salamence what he's a dragon trainer we're gonna lose we're gonna have to give up our position as the gym leader we're getting destroyed right now okay that kills nice okay that's it we'll take that I guess Tyranitar oh my gosh got a full team of pseudo legendaries ice Fang on the Tyranitar all right Gretchen it's all up to you girl do it rep that's it kid looks like Victory Is Ours you know the conditions if you don't hold up on your end of the bargain well it won't be very pleasant now get out of our city today you lost more than just your job game over game over after that embarrassing defeat we head back into town to train up a team that's worthy of battling the big bad oh come on that's what you like to see oh beautiful now with our team even more juice than it was before we head back into battle Swords Dance Dragon Claw is uh accelerating our plans outrage that's a bit worrisome Tyranitar outrage nice Sandstorm doesn't kill me it's crazy that he's also a dragon type gym leader kind of mad about it still on my whole thing uh I don't know if we'll be fast we are faster shift gear works I think we have this we have to stay in we just have to see how it goes we love the dragon call yes no earthquake and it kills a Garchomp easy Metagross I don't really have a great answer for that so we just have to stay in and hope that Dragon claw does a lot of damage it does not and it's got earthquake all right oh I do have a good answer for that it's this guy right here oh he's got Shadows okay good we live another one die yes yes this is like the champion fight is the game over I think we at least have to get it into the fire spin because I don't know who's gonna be able to kill this thing now Gretchen oh no it's gonna sweep us Jerry maybe you can live okay it goes for double edge that's good for us climbing scales kills yes and we take the fight home we win the town well that's it victory is yours I'm a man of my word what what an award or something too bad get out with our greatest enemy defeated we return home in peace with a fat wad of cash oh just enough to put another building in town and I will put my museum right here quite nice looks great then it's back to the Grind Tyranitar level 70. what this guy's here so we go from level 70 type ranitar to Level 36 jump luff oh ham finally evolving yes our Ace is finally evolving level 50 to get to that but not everything is back to normal because as we're leaving the gym for the day we hear something unexpected it's the champion Harrison oh my gosh now now calm down everyone I'm here to see the new gym leader that's all ah there they are just wanted to tell you that today is the Champion review you know what that means right basically you and I are gonna battle right here right now normally this would take place in the gym but you've seemed to have quite a few fans so I decided to make this a public event what do you think let's give them a show sorry if this is a bit sudden just in case take this wow okay a revive in a full restore thanks now let's go crazy okay uh I guess smeltics oh that thing is so cool little Max potion he uses a full Restore for almost no HP that's great Dragon Dance we'll get maybe two speed boosts and then we're oh the burn is so bad we're gonna go here two more two dragon dances and then I'm going to we live the burn chip right okay and then now we use his little gift oh it gets more powerful because of that didn't kill I was plus four attack and then the dragon claw takes it home let's go Aaron well I could say you're quite the trainer daddy Q you've got a good head on your shoulders this gym passes without a doubt as such I will grant you the next available gym leader rank Take It With Honor after passing the Champions assessment we head back to our house for a well-deserved rest but that same night we're suddenly awoken and delivered a strange letter all it says is meet me in the gym tell nobody sorry for the abrupt meeting there's something I need to talk to you about it is the utmost importance and I wanted to keep these away first of all I need to see just what kind of gym leader you are are you ready after besting the mystery man in battle he finally reveals himself you did good kid now there's something I need to tell you desperately daddy Q you here I saw the lights on and what are you doing here you better have a good reason or else I came here to warn daddy Q about what that you were after the position again and you want it back Jason like we'd have you back after what you've a letter just read it fine if you do anything else during your Reign there will be consequences starting with those closest to you go to the police and we will find out test this if you like you won't like the results in neither would your sister sorry that I didn't tell you didn't want to risk them hearing you better be sorry this whole time this city thought you'd abandoned them did you even think at all I understand that I was an idiot I just wish I realized it sooner and now I'm doing what I can to rectify it Daddy Q the gym is in your hands I have all the reason I in the world to believe that the people that sent me this will be after you next when that happens do what I was too foolish to do for the city your gym trainers and everyone who calls this place oh not gonna leave again are you please let me tell the town about the letter let me clear your sorry you can't they'll come after you I don't want that to happen put your faith in daddy Q right well so am I I know they'll do it right it happened so far with all that nonsense dumped on our shoulders we take a much needed day away from the gym then get back to the Grind eventually another mysterious letter shows up it's you ranked up again oh gym litter rank seven also you got something Sandy handed you a letter we commend you Daddy Q you were a better gym leader than we thought however we must go from commending you to condemning you we demand that you cease all actions as gym leader this instant or there will be consequences we know you'll make the right choice like the last gym leader that's right we know about you conversing with the previous gym leader Jason however we are not worried about him it was Sandy Sandy's writing these letters we know you'll make the right choice daddy Q well it seems like Jason was right and they know about it too what should we do we report the threat to the police but they're unable to help us we're going to be honest here there was nothing we could get off the letter and there is definitely no sign of us getting anything on it down the line considering the content of the message we advise High caution the citizens have been notified as well as the mayor and other officials everyone is on high alert if anything happens contact us immediately click so helpful thank you unfazed we continue our activities as the gym leader until tragedy strikes daddy Q I need your help no none of the gym trainers are picking up their phones oh no so the event the letter has come to pass this is deplorable officer what is currently being done all of our available forces around searching we have everyone everywhere search except for the Badlands due to the Rogue Riders Badlands oh daddy cute as much as I don't want to disturb your duties can you go to the Rogue Riders Hideout you've dealt with them before so you should be fine after what happened against Edgar the first time we need to make sure we're prepared before we head out to the Badlands so we hit up our best blissy bud yes now we actually have an ace on our team now with our true Ace in its ultimate form we can finally head out to face our destiny as a gym leader blocking the way are we daddy Q it's Sandy she's escaped the Rogue Riders have the rest of the gym trainers I thought Edgar told them to stop kidnapping is something wrong I'll take care of Sandy I know you can take care of the rest when I get my hands on him oh great it's you hold up you may be exactly who I need listen that jerk of a mare of yours just bars right in and kicked me out keep saying we have hostages I told that it is we don't do that now my own gang is blocking me out if both of us go in we can distract them what do you say you seem confused guess you haven't put two and two together huh didn't that mirror of yours you little to no help seriously how absolutely Daft can you be and that's not all after all I couldn't risk Sandy blabbing so I got a couple of riders to set up a little trap Yep they're waiting back with the rest but why is that what you're thinking well it all started when that's enough talking thank goodness we didn't have to get that backstory uh what my Pokemon are completely wiped why aren't you guys doing anything I thought you were my goons we are we love you Edgar but love doesn't put food on the table why won't you let me finish I always wanted to be a trainer my youth it was a pretty great one too but sadly in my day it could only be a hobby so he's jealous so I Look to become a city official I wanted to be in a position where I could help people be a real team player you know I wanted a roll of great importance one where people could look at me with respect but now Pokemon trainers are everywhere it is one of the most lucrative jobs available everyone looks up to them Gym Leaders especially I used to actually have some power you know then gym leaders became the new mayor that's what I've been saying I didn't want to be the mayor everyone cares about what the gym leader has to say us one mistake and you divide the entire region it's a completely thankless job meanwhile more and more kids want to be you guys and not us don't they know it's because of us that is safe to train at all this guy's just jealous of the gym why didn't he just become the gym leader when the other gym leader went away I told you we would reshape the image of a gym leader this is what I meant you're an idiot if you believe all that only applies to your position have you even taken a second to see what Daddy Q has sacrificed for you I have that doesn't change my stance I have my reasons and you have yours now let me take you to your gym trainers daddy Cube he killed them good thing we lead with our new most powerful Ace ham he put a curse on us that is so obnoxious confused Ray please yes does he just have a really annoying team here with all Dragon pulse that shouldn't kill oh it does kill all right well oh flare flamethrower how is it faster than Charizard that's insane that that thing is faster so it just has Elemental punches hopefully we just don't get burned or paralyzed he withdrew ride on and goes to Dragonite okay the burn makes it not kill but the second one he withdrew Dragonite he's got no answers for this he just keeps swapping around huh you think that's gonna save you you're wrong kill the Dragonite nice flamethrower wipes it down I want to finish this fight in style the way that we started this game we're finishing it in style with ham the most powerful Pokemon in the region got him what how can this be I can't believe it how could you possibly That's The Power of an actual role model someone who actually cares about the people under them regardless of the next I get but you had your monologue now let me have mine oh no more monologues daddy q and I hounds one thing in common we both strive to do the best for our community that's also what makes us different from you sorry I was always bad at monologues guess I just don't like the sound of my own voice unlike you Daddy Q call the police what a funny thing for a criminal mastermind to say Rogue Riders I'm sorry for ever teaming up with this creep I'm sorry for abandoning you Edgar show us where you're keeping the gym trainers and we'll call it even when the cops get here follow the gang I'll keep an eye on the old big bad over here gym leader rank eight
