what's up guys i'm tall and guess what ironically my last name is fishman and so it's perfect for this video the journey to what's hiding in the depths of the ocean how deep is the ocean really suffocating down there oh i'm feeling better now if you guys are new to the channel welcome to reaction time and today we're going to explore from the great depths the deep ocean is the most unknown unexplored territory in the world but the little that we do know we're going to dive right in literally literally oh there's no water here follow me captain fishy let's go here we go this is going to be a fun dive together we're at two feet this is usually where humans swim we got your average swimmer and some fish of course you know if you've ever been actually snorkeling you could just see fish around two feet but oh we're getting a little deeper and deeper let's go to about i think a hundred feet as we go through the reefs and we got the scuba divers what happens when humans are incapable of going any deeper because of the pressure this is also why scuba divers need special equipment oxygen tanks masks a light to see if you really think about it humans are not that special there is more special things in the waters than us humans things that can emit light by themselves fish that can see in pitch black oh no i'm scared water pressure can be dangerous that's why to get really deep you need almost like a special submarine type it looks like this it can withstand insane amounts of pressure 200 feet and we see orca beautiful creatures they actually swim in shallow waters and that's funny because i feel like you thought you were cool when your pool was only 10 feet you're like wow that's so deep look can you go all the way to the bottom and hold your breath kind of boring though let's go deeper whale shark at 250 feet 230 feet wow that was uh are a bit uh disturbing you guys know they can live up to 130 years again you thought humans were special you thought you were special they could weigh 60 tons okay that's not enough at 300 feet plus a scuba diver can get decompression sickness that's a thing so when your lungs expand because the chamber of your lungs has lower pressure than the environment you're in and they can explode i think if you're scared of giant octopus you know there's even horror movies around octopus they're around 400 feet they can actually live up to 6 600 feet look at this thing it can actually attach the things oh this reminds me of look this is godzilla and giant octopus apparently godzilla was originally a giant octopus so that just gives you context right the kraken who remembers that at around 500 feet plus this is when it starts getting dark like i said i don't like the dark oh my gosh the light can't travel enough through the water molecules and unfortunately it starts to get dark so the things that live here are kind of disgusting yeah okay the fish that you saw not fish man but the head of the fish man on the fish can reach 36 feet in length at least one thing is long all right there's all i i've always been under compensated guys i was talking about my hands they're tiny look oh when uh humans think eating crab is cool wait till you get to about a thousand feet the japanese spider crab yeah these are giant and uh they do look like aliens in the water i'm kidding they're not giant i was just kidding they're only one and a half feet oh but things get worse bigger better the deeper we go the better it gets okay blue whales reach their maximum depth 1600 feet i mean maybe you can hear maybe you can maybe you can't the blue whale is the largest creature on earth all right here we go the creepy part of those this is like the halloween town version of the ocean giant squid lives at about 3 000 feet and if you guys want to just comparison how big these things are their eyes are as big as like a frisbee or a dinner plate look right here oh my gosh smells like fish though no one wants to see tentacles that big okay especially when they're wiggling great pressure is building up everybody 3 500 feet if you're not in a special chamber designed to handle the pressure you're going to explode oh my gosh we're in the area where there's volcanoes underwater you didn't know that did you maybe you did maybe you're smarter than me the last eruption was actually in 2009 but if you think about it lava creates land when it cools so it makes sense if there's water over the lava okay you'd be surprised but there is the great white shark can actually reach these depths all right if you're not scared of the great white now think about it they're like the gangsters of the great depths of the ocean they got battle scars they're aggressive and they like to hit another fish and then what about the largest turtles leatherback turtles check it out 4 200 feet why they look like they're made of stone this is how big a great turtle looks like great turtle check out this black dragon fish which lives around 65 6600 feet oh they don't look good they're like that creepy ex-girlfriend that you don't want to show anybody if you know what i'm talking about oh my god it's like a mixture of a snake and a fish in a piranha oh my gosh look look how it stares at you there's also realistic photos not just 3d animations check this out look at this whale sperm whale where's moby dick the largest toothed whale largest there's the deep sea coral reefs and it's beautiful we're at almost 10 000 feet into the water and these are real videos right here this is what it actually looks like now it's time for the abyss and you might need to take a picture cause oh my gosh we already started this reminds me of nemo oh no they illuminate and no one wants to see them look at this thing what is that and what does it even eat other fish and then the black swallower they can they make the names any weirder it's almost like a snake in a sense that they can actually swallow its food that's twice the size of the fish what no way oh boy deepest shipwreck at 19 000 feet the ss rio grande it's still there if you guys want to go and check it out no don't don't okay i don't think you're gonna like what you meet on the way there the only thing that's gonna be meat is you what's in the mariana trench as we get deeper we got the snail fish uh it's because it's it looks very slippery and and gooey it looks like a snail without a shell oh it's kind of cute bro that's cute what is it dangerous or something look at it and it has a translucent body it's just oh i'm no longer a fishman oh they're cute actually a little creepy especially out of the water yeah a little creepy this one's cute though how deep are we gonna go when does it end what apparently past 31 000 there's no more fish what's up there's only like shrimps when you get there why why are shrimps in the deepest part of the ocean the bottom of the mariana trench is a challenger d we got there 35 000 almost 36 thousand guys i just realized we didn't see our jellyfish what how's that fair jellyfish have superpowers they look like parachutes little parachutes that have electricity oh there's something weird about them jellyfish that can be dangerous whoa what they really radiate electricity no it's called bioluminous luminescent bioluminescent jellies the coolest looking ones is there any other extremely creepy deep sea creatures that you guys know about that i miss in this video if i did dm me on instagram that's all fish man go follow me and dm me let me know what else i missed i hope you like the expedition with your captain am i captain that's gonna wrap up the video make sure subscribe leave a like i'll see you guys soon i love you until next time you
