okay hello everyone how is everyone doing it is mesh yourself there today we're gonna be reacting to real-life law now a lot of people ask me Brandon what kind of YouTube videos do you watch and honestly if I'm gonna be totally honest most of the videos i watch are somewhat educational okay and real life what law has an amazing YouTube channel okay full of like um amazing videos which honestly the end up watching one you'll end up just watching all of his videos okay so go subscribe to real life law actually you know what down in the scripture I'm just going to leave a bunch of my favorite youtubers okay if you guys want to check them out alright you can alright is it's always nice you know finding a YouTube channel which you know you never found before and then finding some interesting videos from it so everyone's been reacting to this video the ocean is way deeper than you think okay now I ever seen this video before but I can only imagine what I'm about to learn in this video okay because because yeah we don't even think about it alright the ocean is so damn deep alright we're so interested in god damn space which honestly alright I'm more interested in space alright but the ocean alright we have never been anywhere near the deep end of the ocean alright because there's just way too much pressure alright the stuff that we haven't even discovered there could be a whole world out there alright the ocean is really really deep really - in fact than most of us realize yeah we do were to shave off all of the land from the tops of every continent and island in the world and fill up the oceans deepest always with that land okay entire earth would be covered in an ocean 2 miles deep whoa that means every piece of land it wouldn't even cover it alright it would it would still all be fully ocean 2 miles deep 3/4 of our planet is already covered in water though yeah it's a lot deeper than just 2 miles yeah it kind of makes you think alright 75 percent of our world is water imagine if like zero percent was water alright and you could walk all the way across the world ok man it just makes you think alright land is so big in this world but the water is it's like three times bigger I think it's three times bigger did I do the math right I don't I don't know let's start with a sense of scale I'll stop right here surprise of an average that's me all right that's me this dot right here is the size of an average human slightly larger dot is the size of an ela and this is the size of the largest Oh ever built the not nervous I am in mind let's start going underwater and see what we find we're going deep oh the first milestone is at 40 meters below the surface which is the maximum depth allowed for recreational scuba diving Wow a little further down at 93 meters is where the wreck of the Lusitania was discovered okay interesting because the Lusitania itself is 240 meters yeah which means that it's sink in water shallower than it is long so if the ship was on its Stern or bow it would be sticking out of the water oh that's less interesting that up 100 meters is where diving can become seriously fatal if you're not careful oh that's it Russian sickness it's just that joy would stop a man named Herbert niche to accomplish the free diving world record at a depth of 214 geez this guy's swim down to this level with just one single breath one single breath okay Jesus Christ okay all right everyone hold their breath right now [Music] okay if you lost it longer than me like the video all right yes are you bad like the video you dumbass people but a little further down at 313 20 Wendy because scuba-diving world record which was accomplished by another man named accessga bird Wow I'm down another 111 meters then he would have reached the height of the Empire State Building if it was submerged underwater Wow not at 500 meters oh my god surface we arrived at the maximum dive depth of blue whales all these creatures on the planet and also the limit of the US Sea Wolf class nuclear submarine okay 535 meters we can witness the maximum dive depth of emperor penguins when we must bring up the intensity of water pressure surface the water pressure exerted on a person or the Penguins would be roughly equivalent to a polar bear standing on a quarter over there down the depth we can do it in 30 meters would be the height of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai the tallest building in the world wow we hit 1000 meters below the surface we begin to enter the scary zone I came in to learn something about the sea nobody scared the scary is a scary sight from the surface can no longer reach beyond to this point whoa the ocean below is shrouded in permits complete black top of that the water pressure you would experience at this point would be about the same as if you were standing on the surface of the planet Venus very quickly yeah also meet the giant squid at this sea level if the water pressure didn't already kill you report what was the giant squid I didn't know something good night like these exists a giant squid existing what the cause I'm kind of scared okay now I have a new thing to keep me up at night a giant squid at 1012 mi was to reach the maximum depth dive to 2 by the leatherback sea turtle whoa we're down at 1 828 meters we would reach the deepest part of the Grand Canyon were to be underwater with us Wow down at 2,000 meters we start to encounter some of the more terrifying sea creatures like the ominously named black dragon fish versus beast with a stomach that doesn't allow light to be emitted through meaning that since we're in total darkness underwater at this point the only way you would ever see this thing is with a flashlight oh my goodness okay all right my majesty no turning on a flashlight all right all of a sudden all right Oh flashlight oh my goodness look at this thing a little further down at 2,250 we've reached the maximum depth dived to buy both sperm whales and the very frightening colossal squid firm whales often have sucker marks and scars left on their bodies from battles with the colossal squid always at these incredible depth can you imagine a giant squid and a giant whale fighting what happen we made a movie about that Wow Jesus that's crazy you know all this stuff that's going on in this world we just don't know about it or don't even care you know we don't even think about what's going on right this second under the sea all right down this far below it's kind of scary if you actually like take a second and think about it the squids themselves can grow to be 14 meters long boy up to 750 kilograms with eyes the size of a dinner plate and razor-sharp sickles in the middle of their tent okay good luck with that down hey yeah good luck with that okay I do know when that squid all right this couldn't get anyone coming in anyway named me Jesus Christ way further down Oh No hundred meters we can find the wreck of the RMS Titanic whoa and a bit past that at for starters we start to enter the abyssal zone of the ocean the water pressure is at an astonishing 11,000 pounds per square inch down here oh there were numerous strange almost alien-like creatures that inhabit these depths such as the thing booth angler fish and viperfish disgusting creatures look how ugly this goddamn fish all right this is the what it's like you know living and growing up in a place where there's zero light look at them all right look at their eyes all right in them and teeth all right then they've evolved just to eat okay disgusting creatures oh how do they see how these eyes if they're gonna have light are their eyes like you know night vision whoo night vision eyes man all right look at these particular gloss animals all right ah thing tooth Oh an anglerfish oh and viperfish they older sound at 4,200 songs at homes is the average depth of the ocean where you would normally expect all the floor that's the normal Pole to go significantly deeper than even this whoa 1791 meters rests the wreckage of the battleship Bismarck sunk during World War two whoa wait down at 6000 meters as the beginning of the hey dolls own a dog the underworld Hades itself Oh water pressure down at these depths can become 1,100 times what you would experience way back on Wow which is roughly equal to an elephant balancing on a postage stamp with a single person carrying the weight of 50 Boeing 747 jumbo jet has so much pressure that is a man holding up a whole entire plane down at these depths you would be crushed immediately without fuel exists down here in various strange forms like at 6500 meters we reach the maximum depth that the DSV Alvin can dive to upon your research submarine that helped to discover the Titanic whoa way further down at 8,848 models on the surface and we have arrived at the height of Mount Everest were to be upside down and placed under water oh ho then I'm way further past even that Oh ten thousand eight hundred ninety-eight meters we arrived at the depth reached by James Cameron in 2012 you old your mission no one in the ocean yet reached by humans was back in 1960 though when two men named Don Walsh and Jacques Piccard have reached a depth of ten thousand nine hundred sixteen meters using their Trieste submarine it took them five hours to descend through the ocean to this depth oli stayed for 20 minutes before a window cracked and they began to research Oh window cracking in the middle of it oh my goodness we're now submarine how we're so deep on the ground oh no oh no quickly go ha boot go up we're gonna Gretchen I really crazy guy just a bit further down from there 1972 meters she reached the average flight altitude of a commercial air no I ever looked out of a window while on a flight and looked down to the ground that's a very good sense of how incredibly deep down into the abyss that we are currently really when we hit ten thousand nine hundred and ninety-four meters we have hit the bottom of the known ocean call on the Challenger Deep why on this map just about three hundred kilometers southwest of Guam Island WOM however it is believed that there are almost certainly even deeper parts of the ocean than this that just haven't been discovered yet that's insane wasn't until 1997 after all that the whole Rena deep was discovered with a depth of ten thousand seven hundred thirty-two oh okay second deepest known point in the ocean it is estimated that only about 5% of the oceans floor has been accurately mapped we've got other 95% to be currently a mystery okay only a matter of time before an even deeper part of our ocean is found whoa what we may discover there with only seen five percent of it there must be some crazy alien fishies out there all right I'm calling it man that's actually insane like you don't even think about it just when you think that you know this world you don't you don't really know how this world you know like we have only been living in this world for like a few million years I don't actually know there's the exact number like we don't know everything you know oh that's all that's happened in this world so far all the people's lives that have been born that we hit that we people we will never meet it's just crazy man there was a whole crazy massive world out there you know past present and future it's just crazy you know all right okay guys I'm gonna end the video here before I get an existential crisis but yeah man this is what I love watching these types of videos you know you watch something and then you learn you learn something you know and yeah like like this is why I watch just educational videos so yes a go to subscribe to real life law and you know if you want to check out any of my other favorite youtubers which I like to watch you know who post amazing videos go down the scripture and check that out but yeah hope you guys enjoyed the video I learned something today hope you learned something too and I'll see you in the next video buh-bye
