The New GWR Sleeper Train

yeah from Paddington Paddington is right there we're at Paddington because it is Thursday the 31st of January it's really cool it started snowing tonight's the night we officially do the night Olivia at the invitation of gwr there's brand-new coaches as a new lounge car they said would you like to ride it so they're giving us tickets we've said yes we would I've just noticed that Cornish on the side of the Train yes [Music] [Music] in the round enjoying my soup in the first-class lounge what else is in the first-class manager complimentary beverages soft drinks and team coffee magazines I think I bring you snacks thanks you're welcome you didn't mean with all the snacks got hat hair so you end up with hat hair viki's bought these it eliminates her hair so this keeps you ears warmer there yeah that's why I fear that the most in my ears what my ears get really funny that's right [Music] got the key it's nice oh okay oh just you know I know I know they've done it up it's nice it's all like new and clean okay use the keycard again it's a bit like being in the premiere enemy with a geek so talk me through the room to banks mirror tiny wardrobe with complimentary bottles of water so that's like main cabin light side light personal reading light let's go for a wander through it through the news seated feet in cars I'm gonna have to send Vicki down because I've just realized there's a she hasn't got and curtains [Music] so not only are the cabins new they also have a brand new lounge so I think we should been together feels very luxurious I feel like I shouldn't be resigning it's quite busy this evening and we have a passenger who's willing to talk to us Tony hello hello is this the first time you said you've been obviously not on asleep up in our sleepers in Europe but never in Britain and what enticed you to come along tonight just just for the craic really yeah were you aware that this would be one of the new refurbished I was cuz I I think I watched one of your YouTube videos which informed me of that fact yes what's so informative we're so military you are and what do you think of it I think it's fantastic yeah it doesn't look 1970s anyway it really doesn't at the bar tool is an actual bar there's like a proper like you're going to the pub but it's like a little leaning it's nice you can lean good beer in my case did you prayer yeah I've known miss cinders bunny rabbit whose name of also for on flowy flowy is very cute Angela Deniz remember the staff have always been wonderful honestly for and it's like going back in time you know how things used to be in the old days like the Orient Express you know with stewards to look after you you know so it's great it's an experience in itself just doing the sleep [Music] I only came out to see if it's snowing we're reading it's half midnight it's downs hippie few minutes first they detach the loco to the back there's a local at the front that's Lee staying on the one in the back goes off into the depo so we stand here it has been snowing it is chilly it's chilly where's Ricky gone hello what you doing it's time for Vic explores the toilet episode mother is very clear the door is unlocked I'm closing door locked and it says door knocked on the mirror that is pretty cool that is extremely clear which is what you want if you're honestly / trained and it's two o'clock in the morning and you need to have a wing and you're bit sleepy there's no mistaking the door is locked it's very clean and spacious baby changing good dotted around to remind people to do to keep the moves done I have not set up this mirror shot like I can like scratch my own ear like poke my own here we go it's bedtime we're going to sleep but up here look when we have the lights down a minute for complete darkness you can have a little a little nightlight just for comfort I don't I don't magic goodnight goodbye Mary Ellen I knew you were gonna do that don't don't don't don't no I knew what was it what was the show we just have a bacon sandwich in companies little bit more sprightly than last night it's the back of the Train I think we're Penzance I'm using the sink but you can have a proper shower in the lounge [Music] what was he not gonna have any video this channel you get one shot one shot of the wars are going on and then just a shoe shattering happened yeah [Applause] [Music] things got a bit wet this is witness to leave Cheers coffee not tea how how was he was your sleeper experience was good I slept quite well mostly what do you about I kept waking up but that's just because you're on a train and you're moving it's smooth the ride is smooth I don't know whether they've upgraded you know the natural the suspension or the bogies but it's a very smooth ride but you do get the normal sort of squeaks and bumps as you would expect associated with the train but I it was a smooth ride my tip my hot tip would be I think because on the bottom bunk you've got the fold down table thing I did I think I did I think how I think there's more space with wires on the top bunk but interesting to note I'm six foot four and I could fit quite easily and there was still two inches to spare so you're only in trouble if you're say over over six foot six it's the length is there yeah I got the best bunk that's good and first I'm first-class lounge is I say it's first got lounge it's sleeper lounge so you can use this lounge if you're about to go into London in the evening or you just arrive like we have and have had at the fresh air light showers better than ourselves
