The Most Incredible Candy Dish You Will Ever See

we're gonna go all the way through  this and we're gonna redo it got something new today we got some fix up  fathom boom all right here's the deal with this   this resin here i have not used this  before this is a more of a deep pore epoxy   and you can pour up to three uh inches  of this we can do that with our casting   so you don't want to pour less than an inch  thick with this and you want to use at least   a half a gallon this is for larger pores  and this thing is a large pour so it is a   two to one epoxy you got the hardener right here  and uh it takes about two you get about two hours   two to four hours working time depending on how  much you pour so let me show you how this is done before i go any further um i'm measuring this so it's not actually two to  one okay so when you're measuring it by volume   it's going to be 100 to 43. so every 100 ounces  or grams that you put in here you need to put   43 grams of the hardener or 43 ounces of the  of the hardener all right let's keep going we're going to use some of this caster's  choice blood red on this i think that'll let's talk about the resin real quick  and how much i used um i've changed the   design on this i was originally going  to come way in and make a kind of a   pedestal bowl type thing but now i've decided  after looking at it i want it more of a   kind of a round i don't know what the design  is but that's what i want to do so i left this   really thick so i hate that i wasted so much  resin but you know things change and i never   know exactly what i'm going to do until i start  getting into the bowl and it tells me what to do   and this is what it's telling me to do is to  hollow it out and then we'll make a lid for it see it's all off This is Walnut. I put it there for a handle, but it wasn't centered all right you may be wondering what i'm doing but  what we're going to do is since this didn't center   right we're going to take some more of this put it  in here put this on it we're going to glue this on   put some black resin in there  and hopefully it'll look good i can't tell you how long this has been in my  head although i had a different bottom part   this is what came to me as i started to  turn and this is what i'm talking about   i don't know the shape of a bowl until  i start turning it sometimes i'll just   i'll go off script and i'll just make like  a pedestal ball or something else but this   this is i call it the fire bomb and it looks  like fire inside there it's just incredible   that pigment and i'm telling you  the black that was such a good idea   leanne told me i should use black and i just man  it's just beautiful it makes the whole thing pop   sure you saw those beauty shots right before um  the inside of the lid did not come out great it is   it's a little bit rough uh so i'll probably sand  that down by hand and then re-coat it with resin   and hopefully everything will be all right but  i'm extremely happy with this um i might put   it up on my website so if you're interested and i  do put it on my website head on down to the first   comment below and i'll put the link to it there  uh yeah like i said this thing has been in my   head for a long long time i know you guys are  probably sick of me using that packing material   but man i can come up with some cool ideas  with it and i know everybody wants me to put   it sideways but it's too hard to get the resin  in sideways and then i'm afraid that the the   honeycomb will crunch down under the weight  of the resin so it won't look right um so   it is wednesday night i'm not sure what time it  is but it's pretty late but i know it's time for   a beer and i know you guys are ready to get done  with this video it had to be a long one because   i have done a lot of work on this thing all right  i appreciate you stopping by if you could head on   down leave a comment tell me what you think i  know everyone's not gonna like it i know some   people don't like resin i don't care if you don't  like it i know somebody will some art is about   people that enjoy it and like it you know some  things they like some things they don't so uh   but anyways if you could head on down like i  said leave me a comment hit the thumbs up and   please if you could share the video it really  helps me out and hit that bell so you know when   stuff's coming out because i'd love you for you  to subscribe all right until next video stay cool   boom fireball [ __ ] badass
