y'all ready to check out this ultimate playstation one that i built it's the craziest it's the most mods and it's the most expensive thing that i've ever built ever it's it's got so much packed into it uh we got the nice custom paint job uh custom themed and then there's so much more to it than just that so thank you for clicking on it and checking this out we got hdmi modded right there boom with the ps1 digital then we also got a usb port and i'll talk about that later we have the x station with the 3d printed mount which is this is the same place and i did the x x station video about and then we got this custom themed uh ps4 controller and that usb port on the back is to charge that controller because this playstation works with it wirelessly and then even obviously you got to add a white led to go with the black and white color scheme so let me demonstrate all the things that this does and then we're going to take we're going to open it up and take a more in-depth look on the inside so real quick i'm just changing my monitor to hdmi because it's hdmi modded so we can do that i'm turning on the ps4 controller and i'm just going to show how it works with the ps4 controller without a dongle hanging out the front because in reality it's just a brooks wireless ps4 controller adapter that you would plug into the front but i just hard soldered it directly inside because it looks way better than having a little dongle hanging out the front of your playstation you know what i mean i don't know i think so i think it looks so much more clean like this so as you see playstation 4 controller works and what's even cool is because since i did it internally you can actually use um you can use the plate the first power you can use playstation one you can use controller port one with a regular controller too you don't lose that functionality why do you need two controllers to to whatever it doesn't matter you can still do it the controller ports still function even though we have the ps4 controller wired internally the ps4 controller will only work on player one uh player one though but you can still plug in a regular controller for player two and uh so right here that usb port that i added to the back is basically just to charge the ps4 controller no other reasons and we kept it with the white wire to go with the color scheme for no reason just because so you could charge your ps4 controller only while this system is on though so i got hdmi going to the monitor then we also got composite video going to the crt because it works with both because of the ps1 digital oops gotta turn on the ps4 controller you gotta turn on every time you turn on the system so as you see it's simultaneously uh outputting to both and that's because the ps1 digital such an awesome hdmi mod for this system and which i like i said later on we'll get more in depth into looking into things and which is actually basically right now because i'm about to open this thing up and let's show you guys what's on the inside so gotta open it real slow because i actually have that usb port wired directly to the brooks adapter right there as you can see it's wired up to there and then that is wired to the controller ports and that was actually like a whole big thing about how like figuring that out and how to wire it as you notice there's also a ps2 fan because it does get kind of hot with all these mods so it exhausts the it exhausts some of the heat outwards keeps it nice and cool let's check the temperature it's a lot cooler right now than it would have been without the fan so that's nice and then another thing that i did was these 3d printed mounts with the extenders the extender is actually thicker than an sd card so when you were putting them into the slots after a little bit they were putting pressure on the actual slot and it was becoming hard for them to to read the sd card because the extender was thick i tried to file it down still didn't work as well so i just said you know what let's make it the best and just hard solder it in so you have that permanent connection always going but you can still remove the sd card from the little slot up there so i thought that was a great way to to go around that i'm always always a fan of just hard soldering everything making it you know making it more real you know as you uh and speaking of which those are the wires to hard solder the i had to go for a different i had to obtain power i should probably actually just make a whole video about wireless about the ps4 internal brooks adapter because that was very fun and very interesting because i learned a lot and i had to go through this whole process of because it didn't work at first because of all the other mods in the system so i had to find power elsewhere so i powered it from the power supply instead of from the playstation motherboard and it worked perfectly so let's um let's actually go into that like this isn't going to be like the full video but this is just something just me doing a little bit when i plugged the brooks controller into the front it wasn't working and i checked the voltages on a regular system to see how much each pin had and on this hdmi modded system it wasn't having it had the correct voltages to work with um to work with like a regular controller but i couldn't get enough voltage to power this brooks adapter so i basically opened the whole thing up and then drew a little map and and re-soldered just basically cutting out um the plug-in cord and just soldered it everything directly to the back of the controller ports and then wired it all up and i found which one which one of the wires powered the brook's power board and i plugged it into a different system to see how much power it needed and then when i saw how much power it needed i then searched on the ps1 for that exact amount of power which i found on the power supply and ended up just powering it from that which is as you see like exactly right here so it's i'm powering the brooks adapter from there and then we have all the controller inputs going directly to the controller port and that's how we wired that brooks adapter these brooks adapters like i i this may seem like oh like it didn't work blah blah i had to do this nah they work fine it's just this was what i had to do for this particular mod if you want to go and buy one of those for like like your dream they make them for like dreamcast sega genesis pc engine they make them for all different systems i've tried a bunch of them they're all great they all work really well but i just had to wire mine internally so i had to go through all these extra steps you know what i mean speaking of extra steps like i was just talking about with the sd card i want to more so thoroughly explain that it's it's the adapter that's the issue where that adapter that looks like the sd card is thicker than an sd card so when you go to put into the slot like you saw me doing my x station video uh it works and everything's fine but over time of leaving it in my actual sd slot on my x station died so i basically had to take it out and then re-solder it so speaking of soldering let's go check out the hdmi part the hdmi install of this it's just some quick little soldering basically you add all these different ribbon cables for the ps1 digital kit this is just me soldering in the uh the serial port connector after desoldering the serial port and those aren't those solder joints check them out check it out they're not fully all the way connected so we're just gonna put a little bit of pressure and we're just gonna flow the whole thing boom perfect that's nice and then this is the the probably the biggest one this is the uh for the gpu connector this big ribbon cable that has to be soldered all the way across and then there's this one for the sound this footage didn't come out that good for some reason as you see it's a little blurry i'm sorry for that but soldering that in then there's also the controller port wire that you have to solder in so that's some of the soldering for the hdmi mod if you want to see a full video of that let me know like tell me um here's the hdmi board itself about to go in and then basically you put it in connect it to all the different ribbon cables that you just soldered onto your board this hdmi uh the ps1 digital i think they're sold out black dog technology sells them they're 160 for this kit i like i put a little piece of tape underneath just to make it go all right now we're just going to jump cut to the x station because now we're going to show off the hdmi mod by playing some games there's an internal menu with the hdmi mod where you can like tweak and customize a whole bunch of stuff and it's really really cool and man i suck why am i not picking a game just hurry up just pick a game this is the problem there's so many sick games i don't know what to pick just pick a game i'ma play cool borders too eventually like yo like secret because i'm really nice at cool boarders too but anyway so i just want to show you that these scan lines on the screen are an actual internal setting from the hdmi mod and it's so cool but my capture software doesn't do a really good job of showing them they look way better on your actual screen but you can turn them on and off i think it looks really good with them on or and off like it looks really good no matter what so here it is with them off the internal menu is it's um l2 r2 square x and start all at the same time and then you have access to that menu with all these different uh features and here you see some capcom vs snk-1 we playing iori with the scan lines on and just looks so crispy it's so nice and here's some cool borders too so cool borders too that's my high score by the way check it out krusty i want you to beat that high score i challenge anybody to beat my high score half pipe cool borders 2 play it beat my score post pictures of it tag me oh i challenge you it's really hard i challenge you in cool borders too cool borders 2 is probably one of the worst games to show off the fact that this is an hdmi modded system and look how good it looks because it's not exactly the best um visual game it's a sick game and i love it i'm actually playing really trash right now in half pipe like this is not good but there we go we get some of the double grabs with the perfect 360. um oh throw throw out the that was a tweak or a melancholy that was melancholy but anyway i'm playing cool borders too because i want to show you guys the uh on-screen menu a little bit more in-depth than uh just the scan line features you got all these different uh resolutions however i was only able to play it at 1080p because of my capture software i can't change it to any of the other resolutions i actually don't know what any of these advanced video settings do so i just left everything normal the scalar settings again i actually can't change any of these because this was the only one i could have it on to capture the footage however on different monitors i was changing these resolutions and to try to get the best one for each monitor and there's a lot of options in there which is really really sick ps1 digital excellent mod and then i already went through the scan lines but you can also change the intensity and the thickness of each scan line to your set to to however you like it to give it more of that crt television feel i found 140 i think that's the default was just nice you can you got wi-fi settings and upgrade the firmware and all of that so thank you guys very very much for checking this out thank you for watching thank you for being patient while i haven't uploaded videos this system took me so long to make i've it's literally been months if you want this system what i'm going to start doing is i'm going to start posting everything i make videos about on etsy and i'll leave a link to that in the description so if you actually want this system it costs me a pretty penny so it might cost you a pretty penny but everything that i make videos about is going to be available to buy on etsy because that's the new thing that i'm going to be doing now just to streamline uh selling all the things that i make videos about just to make it a lot easier i'm going to be using etsy so thanks again you guys for for watching for not forgetting about me for being on social media with me for being in discord thank you to all you guys in discord i really appreciate you guys you're there every day and thanks for watching and stay tuned for the next one
