Pikman has a lot of enemies with there being over 200 across every single game and with all of the designing and planning that goes into making these enemies it's natural that not every enemy that the developers design can make it into the final product there are several enemies throughout the Pikman series that got lost in the game's files are in earlier builds of the game never to be seen again this video will be covering those enemies throughout the entire franchise with the exception of Pikman 4 Pikman 4 has very little unused content in its files and it seems that a lot of it got purged from the final game's files this is a shame as there definitely would have been lots of cool unused enemies and Concepts considering the game was nearly complete in 2015 before we begin make sure to subscribe for highquality Pikmin videos weekly first game is Pikmin one which has quite a few interesting unused enemies the first one to note is IA Jen IA means Rock and gen means generators so as you guess this guy generates rocks his design is a spherical stone sculpture with moss growing at the top of it it is similar to the armored Cannon be the Lara we see in the future games but here it shows no connections to the armored Cannon Beetle this guy can still be spawned into the game with a hex editor and causes no issues though he has a lack of sound effects he doesn't have any health which means he is unkillable which may have mean he was intended to be a hazard that spawns in rocks and his kind of man-made design supports that theory I can see why he was cut having an unkillable Hazard that can generate rocks infinitely is pretty hard to deal with and it is kind of hard to fit into a level from a designer's point of view the next enemy for this game is the ususa the usba would have likely been a boss fight we don't have too much concrete information on how it would behaved as usually attempting to spawn it in cause the game to crash but there are a few interesting things left over in the files its design resembles an antline with a goopy body and large blue eyes and there are flying animations for it it has 5,000 HP and it's programmed to spawn in Smokey prags so this is probably not what was actually meant to spawn in minty Mio was able to get a video of it in action which shows it flying around on the title screen he was also able to spawn it in but due to the Enemy being unfinished it just flies away immediately he's also making a comeback in Pikmin 2 regrown an upcoming mod for Pikmin 2 by rackton so be on the lookout for that there is also Yash tree Yash 4 Yash 5 and AATA one these enemies are left over in the fs with basically no code attach to them so almost nothing is known about them finally there is the burrowing snaro and the final cut scene for Pikmin one when the burrowing snag is being showcased alar mentions that the bluish Hue of its feathers distinguish it from the burrowing snaro in early footage of Pikmin one we see a snagit with more bee colored feathers which a lot of fans have speculated to be the burrowing snaro though it is also likely that's just an unfinished burrowing snag the burrowing snaro was also mentioned in Pikmin 2 and 4 but we have yet to ever officially see it Pikmin 1 also mentions the female Shear wig which we also don't see moving on to Pikmin 2 and this game doesn't have much in the way of unused enemies my best guess to why that is is because the game had a relatively short development cycle of 2 and 1/2 years which would have originally been 2 years but the game was delayed by 6 months when a game has a shorter development time it's usually more experimental and developers usually don't have the time to rethink these con Concepts usually leading to some bizarre Concepts Major's Mass would be an example of this in the F there is a completely unused enemy with basically no information about it except for its Overworld spawning identifier and an unused antenna Beetle that is unfinished and crashes the game on spawn other things to know is that there are spawn identifiers for a lone bread books Nest the water rates rollers and a blister base the bloyer base crashes the game but the bread bugs nest and rollers spawn in normally this isn't technically unused but you can see it in game but this is the vol T Weevil without its bomb Rock what a handsome guy and finally left over in the files is a large PICC opedia icon for the fiery bull blacks large icons are usually reserved for bosses in the pic opedia so this implies the fiery bullx was originally a boss fight but got changed into a regular enemy that's all for the game's files but in early E3 trailers we got to see yellow and blue bulborbs and their dwarf variant if you check into the game's files nowadays you'll still see enemies called yellow bulborbs and blue bulborbs but these enemies are actually the hairy har bulborb and orange bulborb respectively I think it's for the better that they got changed into the hairy and orange bulborb I really don't like their designs also while looking at the unused enemies in Pikmin 2 I took a quick detour to the unused treasures and this was one of them the jokes right themselves at this point it's l the same render as well Pikmin tree has a lot of really cool unused content in enemies but you know what they say you don't eat dessert before dinner so let's take a look at hey Pikman first there's a surprisingly large amount of unused enemies for hey Pikmin I thought this section would be really short but there is Oodles of unused enemies the first one is the doodle bug and iridescent glint Beetle from Pikmin 2 these were probably cut due to the lack of items and poison in the game the sker skate from Pikmin tree was intended to make an appearance and it appears to be almost completely finished with a full model instead of animations don't know why this one was called it would have worked well the scornet was also planned from Pikmin tree but we did get a very similar enemy called the Sparro head in the final release which likely replaced the scornet there are early versions of the adult scenti pair and elongated clush plat the scenti pair looks close enough to its final design but the K clush plat looks almost completely different and appears to be unfinished then there is this really strange bulborb like enemy that is simply called enemy 01 the first thing to note is its design which is unsettling to say the least and it comes in seven variants there is the standard one rock fire flying armored licking and Dot enemy o1 which is the standard variant of enemy 01 but with dots for eyes enemy O2 is an enemy that consists of a model for Just Wings and eyeballs and there is also an enemy O3 that is split into several different models and seems to be an early version of the sporet chappie Proto is very similar to do enemy 01 with the only difference being it has no legs there are two enemies called Mari do kurri and soio which bear a resemblance to the puffy and withered blo hog and probably would have acted the same and there is also an unused underwater of puffy blo HW called Namo I really like his design kind of wish made into the final game Hannah macki is an incomprehensible enemy though it may have been a makii as macki is the internal name for makii peraki and togi are unused MWI variants the peraki is very similar to the Whi tongue bullboard the piku tabi is an enemy that is very similar to Pikmin to's creeping and it would have acted the same anaus Sagi whose name translates to whole blocker would have likely been able to block holes it is a clearly unfinished design and it's the easy to see why it was cut the whole C is another flower type enemy that resembles a candy popud and want to been able to shoot out projectiles it's one of the only unused enemies have parameters for its stats meaning it was probably cut late into development the kinum minui is an enemy that resembles the grabbit we got in the final game and the model is very unfinished the Susan Ari is an unused smaller variant of the stuffed bell Bloom classic Pikmin enemy and it is virtually all of the same animations though it does have additional ones for swimming underwater which the usual stuffed bell Bloom can't do the kuchi is an enemy that would have been a relative of the plucker bur fish and is another one with a very cool design kind of wish this guy made it in as well it actually looks better than the usual plucking bur fish gki is a snail-like eneme which has a pretty interesting design but I have no idea what this one would have done the togga de big is an unused version of the spiny cobbler and is found in its files the design is completely different but it would have probably acted the same finally we have an unused boss fight the Hercules bchi it design looks really similar from the beibs from Pikmin adventure and its animations mimic hey pikmin's Emperor bu blacks I wish this guy got in simply for the fact that it would have been more Pikmin Adventure representation the true best spin-off of Pikmin also if you're wondering that game has no one Ed enemies set all right we're finally finished with hey pikmin's classic enemies such as whole blocker and we can finally move on to Pikmin 3 it's no wording that the unused content in Pikmin tree and Pikmin tree Deluxe is different Pikmin tree Deluxe actually has more unused content for some reason my best guess to why this is is that Pikmin tree Deluxe was developed by a different Studio than the original so Nintendo probably just sent them over all the development files from the original game and the new team forgot to clean them up for the release a few months ago a large video about Pikmin Tree by Vantage emblem came out which discovered a whole unused area hidden in the games files of the Wii U version and in the spawn parameters of this area there are things suggesting that the decorated Canon was meant to be in Pikmin 3 he was cut from Pikmin tree and is no longer in the game's F so this is the only trace of its existence the bread bug was also intended to show up in Pikmin tree as well as has leftover files but a large amount of its files are missing so there is basically no information about how it have behaved the honey whsp was intended to return as well and can be spawned in it has the exact same model from Pikmin 2 and showing a Pikmin at the egg just crashes the game the white Wally hop is also in the fs and can be spawned in with some complications as it tends to stay still while constantly shaking off Pikmin it has been restored in a few hacks of the game and works normally the emperor bubl is another Pikmin to M enemy and It suffers from the same issue as the Wally hop where it stands still looping and animation he was also completely restored in a few mods there's also the hermit chomat who's exclusive to Pikmin tree deluxes files it almost Works normally but it never eats the Pikmin it catches the final Pikmin 2 mod enemies are the blo Hogs all three of the regular ones are here and they work almost entirely normal but with a few hitbox and graphical issues such as the watery blowhog shooting out fire the next few enemies are unused versions of enemies that made into the final game there is the Whi tongue bulborb who gets stuck in a permanent Loop of doing his eating animation and he seems to lack a tongue you will notice that all of these enemies have very low quality models that would have fit on the Nintendo Wii which shows that this game definitely had a trouble development cycle the desecrated skitter Leaf it acts normally at first but will get stuck in a loop of doing its attack animation after a while there's also one of the skitter Leaf who works normally enough but is very slow the Jou Smite and flighty Jou Smite are here the regular Jou Smite looks identical to its Pikmin tree model with the main difference being the texture quality being slightly lower but yet again this enemy gets stuck in doing a loop of it attack animation the flighty just Smite has a completely different design than the final game and in my opinion a better design as well it looks like a shield which fits with the team of jousting he also gets stuck in a loop to end things off we have completely original enemies that never saw the light of day again there is a blo hog variant that has a green snout and blue eyes and shoots out bubbles this guy was definitely replaced by the Wadd pus which makes sense as it is better to design more original enemy Concepts right Pikmin 4 the bico is an enemy that would have acted identical to the male shear grub despite its model being purple it shows up as Orange in game IOD dama is basically the exact same as the BD long legs but with the big difference of having a giant foot for its head it would have probably acted the same as the regular long legs but with the additional attack that would use its head to crush Pikmin probably for the better that it didn't make it in that design is questionable to say the least while Pikmin tree only had the yellow Wally hop it was originally meant to have the white Wally hop and a brand new type of w hop known as the crystal marrow frog in the files its design is similar to the regular Wally hop but with a pleasant radiant on its body and a large Crystal the model shows the crystal at the bottom of his body but it might have been meant to be placed somewhere else perhaps covering his body if an enemy that is covered in Crystal and jumps to kill your Pikmin sounds familiar that's because there is an enemy in Pikmin tree called the calcified clush bat who does exactly that it was like a rework of the crystal marrow frog the calcified clush band also has its internal name as the crystal frog which shows it was likely a replacement of this unused enemy the final two enemies are related to each other and they are the kakuu and Mur these enemies would have worked with a mechanic that was cut from Pikmin tree there are unused berries in Pikmin tree that could be picked up by Pikman and thrown on the floor to lure enemies towards them this would act as bait for enemies giving you a chance to attack them the kakaro and nogaro would have worked with these berries as you would have needed them to properly attack them the mimu has a design that is very similar to the Rous whisker pillar from Pikmin 2 but the kakaru has an entirely different design and resembles a slug my guess is that the mimos were the larvae version of the kakaro both enemies act exactly the same they start off buried in the ground and will sometimes go out of it if they see Pikmin while out of the ground they will immediately run away back into the ground burrowing into the ground restores all of their hit points similar to The Bread bugs if you throw the bait berries near their burrowing spot they will emerge and eat it this will make them ignore Pikmin until you start attacking them giving you a chance to attack them these enemies are almost fully functional aside from a few glitches and them crashing if you try to carry their corpse this enemy has a really cool concept and the bait berries would have been nice to see in the final game anyways that concludes every single unused enemy in the Pikman franchise I apologize for the lack of Pikmin 4 but there is literally not a single unused enemy in the files of that game which is a shame maybe if there's another Nintendo Giga leak we will find some interesting things about Pikmin 4's strange development cycle special thanks to meme Lords Memel light on Twitter for drawing the thumbnail for this video be sure to follow them anyways if you enjoyed this video
