the match-up i think if lebron was given a chance he could beat superman in a fight but lebron superman could never beat lebron in basketball you you feel me wait i think okay allowed to like fly and the [ __ ] do you want from me like it's not my fault they're cheating you what are you gonna do make him stop hacking like sorry i listened i've played so much counter strike that's happened so many times yeah somebody will come in not say a single word be like the guys cheating they'll disconnect from the game reconnect and we're suddenly winning the amount of times i've been in games where people counter hack is josh that's actually oh wait that's badass wait that's dude sick a hero no that's so bad like they'll play normally and then some guy will have like an a-bot and like some some hat clients can tell when other people also have hat clients installed so like this guy's like this guy's cheating i'm turning on and then suddenly he's just [ __ ] spinning like a psychopath he's got an auto sniper point at the floor he just killed four people counter-strike spin body's the funniest thing honestly like you're just staring at the ground but you're just spinning around constantly [Laughter] i've never thought about using hack to find another hacker it's like the robin hood of counter strike there's one person the other team had to start attacking so all five on the other team [ __ ] crazy counter-strike wins between two hackers though literally who act better and i know it sounds really stupid but it really works did the better player win at that point [Laughter] if company and then they made a portal with it dude i remember uh when i was in eighth grade uh we had did like a school field trip to like just a local community college that like you know we could go to during high school and they we i went to like the tech dinner and they had portals there and uh the people there told me that they made portal like did they just straight up may portal themselves at the college probably no no i mean isn't that where they got the idea for the portal game they just saw like a tech demo i was like we could do this we wouldn't know like they they just had legitimate like orange box portals oh and like they were just trying to gaslight us coming to their college and they're like yeah we made this game all on our own it's just not true yeah okay like okay i'm like there's just straight up told me yeah we made this game i'm like no yeah that is not that is not based in truth but no that's not true but val valve's made half-life and then portal portal was just like this like it's a project someone made that they then bought left 4 dead was made by turtle rock studios which they bought they left her dad's valve as well that's owned by valve but it's made by turtle rock okay so they bought that under counter strike was made counter strike was a mod of half-life which they then bought yeah okay dota was a mod of warcraft which they bought is also valve yep oh my god so like a bunch of valve has really only made like half-life and then the rest of them are like they bought it now they work on it but it's not like they may oh what it was uh my girlfriend's birthday so for her birthday we went and did a tour of out i didn't know that was something you could just do yeah it is shocking that you can just do that they don't let you into like half of it they don't let you into any of the rooms where like they're working on games yeah of course not yeah but they are working on games back and forth oh my god they're like they're like we're not going to tell you how many people work on anything because like you know they're going to get harassed until the end of time if they say if they tell a random dude that the forces do is like 10 employees yeah right but um it is not a high number and like getting employed into valve is also like ridiculously hard god yeah yeah it is you have to have like a masters and then six years work experience what that's like seven people in the game industry yeah yeah college to hand a job with you i that valve is a crazy company i love talking about that i just realized maybe you guys don't know you don't know this stuff okay i don't know jack jack i know this stuff i've not played super smash bros in the last 10 years of my life so valve is such a hard company to work in because the way that the the way the company operates is there's no upper management it's really weird to hear but if you if you read their like workbook and everything with like they got leaked so they just publicized it right but it's literally like the first pages no one is your boss gabe newell is especially not your boss it's like the first page in the in the like the workbook does it explicitly say that like yes he's not your boss but he is your friend and so it's like their example is like if gabe newell asked you to add a skin into counter strike you can politely say [ __ ] off oh okay and so the way it works is that all deaths are just like connected into a power strip and then they're all on wheels and the whole point is that you're supposed to be able to move and do whatever kind of project you want to work on in valve oh so if you don't want to work on counter strike you want to go work so if you go to like that's weird you go to valve you'll see that like in gabe newell's office his desk just isn't even there because he's fired wait does that mean someone else can fire gabe it might just be that's no one's pride [Laughter] okay now i get why they don't make games no one works they don't do their jobs it's a game of thicken for your employment the idea is like you're going to get paid as long as you as long as you're working on something yeah which is why there's like there's like videos of like valve employees who have developed a controller that you can use with your butt you just sit on your tear and control game what yeah this is gonna be good what that's the year youtubers play shots and so that's kind of how the company structures so like most people suck it makes so much sense why nothing gets done [Laughter] and like the reason that they're allowed to do this is because they made theme and steam pulls in like 30 billion dollars a year yeah [ __ ] it oh like it doesn't [ __ ] matter they could literally die and it would like the entire like employee instructor could all die nobody could work at valve it could just be like one guy on support because we all know how many people work at support and the company would make 30 billion dollars in revenue every year they make steam every video game that's ever been sold they get a profit off yeah my god they get they get 40 i think is how much they get 40 i think it's like 30 35 okay something like that still still a lot yeah i think it's 40 because like the selling point for epic was that they'll do they'll take a 30 cut maybe that's what i'm thinking of yeah and then epic was
