foreign [Music] welcome back everybody we are doing Last of Us reaction again episode two uh if you watch the first video um it was uh it was pretty wild uh a lot of stuff happened that none of us expected uh at all uh same people uh me Kevin Tom Kitty and blue so we're gonna get into it we're gonna watch um I I thought that's the first episode was absolutely freaking amazing uh it was it was awesome and I uh am so psyched to watch uh episode two yeah it's gonna be good I think so what do you guys think he's looking forward to it excited yes how did it leave off again oh it was that Depeche Mode song I've had that song in my head oh my God Depeche Mode is that the Indian song yeah they left in the the 80s song where they're going with the little clicker up there in the left never gonna let me down again or something like it's something like that such a great song I love that I love Depeche Mode I've had that in my head since we watched it but that's how it ended so it was the 80s song so that's bad right that is bad yeah and uh quick question blue did you have dreams of game game I'm biting your ankles I I honestly didn't but like too late tonight I've had um so after we watched it the first time I had a dream a zombie dream right and it was all of us wow and it was so funny so we're like walk it was like valheim so all of a sudden I see these like zombies and I'm like Kevin Kevin they're zombies and he's like just kill it it's like two hits and I was like well then you do it and uh that's all I remember are you sure you're not just remembering a valentine memory no no it was like in my dream yeah no so valheim and this and then last night we watched the SNL with um Pedro Pascal right that's his name and um I had another dream oh and it was uh the only part that I remember is that he was in it but he was like telling everybody like no I'm an actor I really can't do anything like I really that's like fake and everybody's like please help us that's all I remember and he's like but I'm from Chile so she said that in my dream I don't know I don't know so I wonder what dream oh okay oh you know he's like oh you're an actor from Chile okay so you can't help us but like everybody didn't understand that this wasn't like like real in my dream so oh so I wonder what I'll have what dream I'll have tonight well I guess we'll see yes because we're gonna start are you guys ready we'll see I'm excited I am ready hey you all got it up very excited you ready that wasn't a euphemism wow yeah traffic still sucks even in the zombie apocalypse I'm actually there it's not a store yes so this is the 20 years after my birthday we're gonna see what happened in Jakarta oh it's like a throwback maybe flashback a throwback yeah flashback flash she's going in to take a look at the person they took the sample from she looks nervous I would be it's like those little red bows in her hand he's gonna say it was with the red things oh this stuff the hair is going to come out of the mouth yeah looks like it oh it was Game Gam bling oh she's probably like what the [ __ ] oh so this is gonna be okay so it's like fungus growing on the bike throw a few bites over the tongue uh a tooth a tooth oh nope it's the hair stuff oh and it's moving oh I freaked her the [ __ ] out oh so I'm out of here yeah I'd be piecing right out of there as well fungus Among Us humongous fungus Among Us wow flour and grain oh my God see I can't drink this tea yeah good luck good luck yeah enough time believe kill everybody yeah that's terrible but like kind of understandable but like terrible like would you actually do it like it's a viable no I think she just came up with like The Logical solution and now just realized it's so terrible because we killed so many innocent people close your arm I mean wouldn't you be hesitant I would okay we're still playing this game I mean it's clearly healed like clearly she's different clearly she's important maybe it mutated inside of her it's different I'm gonna either way she's important infected there's not going to be anything better just you know foreshadowing still has that yeah see it's giving the he's giving me it was a dad joke I mean can't they like analyze that she might have the Cure I mean we came to that conclusion I think they would too immediately I mean maybe because they've seen it 20 years of this yeah and you lose all of your family friends and all of humanity to a virus and then you find out somebody got bit yeah they're probably just gonna shoot her is that beef jerky where'd she get a fresh sandwich is that an egg sandwich are they still in Massachusetts they got it at the donkeys the donkeys [Laughter] you know he was laughing a little bit on the inside he made the dad joke earlier yeah you know his ass there is demeanor a little bit lighter see just building the rapport can I have a gun absolutely not she's spunky like his daughter it's not gonna be long he's gonna die for her it's hard not to get spoilers it's all over like my social media feed every Monday morning it shows what like what would happen to a city like after oh yeah like there's almost like Pratt like a like a coral reef you know like like a ship [ __ ] earphones the clicker should a clicker right yeah they're called the State House is across there it's about a 10 minute walk if you can go straight I mean now there's a good name or a short way no I don't howlers right blue or isn't that where the clicker was seen yeah I was up on the left on a Ledge near that circular building I believe oh yeah I could point a million out now you have to play the game what's coming out on PC it's like just frog is playing music it's like the WB frog hey hello my darling hello my ragtime yeah it's like every indoor water park at least that's what I see seriously no smart ass I mean yeah so much ickfoot that hey can't they survive in water though zombies I don't know I haven't seen the waters on me maybe there's in the deep water yes oh don't don't check it out what are you crazy don't Veer off the mission no why are you [ __ ] stupid teenagers man oh my God let's make a whole bunch of weird kid oh my God there's not a whole lot of jump scares you're not scarce more just not so much jumpy just more just emotional trauma let's imagine how come they're not on that walk and be like squish squish squish right squeak squeaky yeah Flex Seal socks see this is where like you go in the map to help you yeah a little objective pops up right go front there's got to be a hidden chest somewhere yeah loot those room what are you doing a couple extra health potions bust out your lock pick what now this way oh [Music] all right can you use your words ma'am like right like what am I walking into could you please oh oh nope alive these guys seem a bit slower oh they're just taking a nap oh they're following the light are the lights doing something I did more than you know what the [ __ ] so I'll tell you what she's gonna eventually get a gun she's gonna save somebody's life and then she will have a gun for the rest of the game so that's like old stuff they've already shot out their spores so it's no longer contagious when it's like that I guess can I guess it's dried out and did I mean they did say that so A uh maybe a part of the zombies are connected to this one and if it's dry then just maybe no comment seems like a mine oh [ __ ] that guy's pretty fresh what the [ __ ] did that clicker I'm assuming that would be my guess or a howler nope wishful thinking who would you hear foreign foreign don't get nervous blue this looks nothing like the verbo website this place is such a scam false advertisement I don't see the hot tub anyway and they charged me a 250 cleaning fee like what the [ __ ] are they doing with the money Here Comes blue your jump scare it's coming I'll be ready that sounds pretty clicky oh no oh it's a big boy oh they were walking above oh and then you see like saving down at the bottom no right yeah a quick save [ __ ] oh my God no no not like this I have the gaming headset it means I can hear everything cleared oh no there was a bust is this annoying to these clicking sounds like sonar it's actually exactly what it is nice [Music] I don't like this wait we saw it but they did it oh no they definitely see it they just don't want to shoot it because it'll make all this noise and everything will come and they'll it'll trigger the other ones shut up don't I can see what you someone's gonna sneeze someone's gonna sneeze zip it.com don't do it someone's gonna sneeze catch you don't are you serious right now oh control your breathing control your breathing yeah too late I heard someone call these walking genital warts and I see it now time blue you're going to be laying in bed tonight and you're gonna it's gonna be on Tuesday it's gonna look this right it's gonna be yeah he's right right there you're right there I'm fully clenched imagine like if we are they translated into like guys guys I need help all right I can't see I cannot see it let's see and somebody said I look like a genital wart and like it kind of hurts my feelings extremely rude oh gosh glass I'm just trying to step down the glass oh my God oh don't get bit oh she's immune it doesn't matter no him oh we got an ax to the face [Music] better than a bitten ankle I think it might have been a bitten ankle pants oh he was a bit in the same spot again uh it happened to her it did wait he didn't get bit no he didn't get bit but both of them got bit pretty sure well they showed them maybe they showed the wound on Ellie but they didn't show it on uh I don't what's her name yeah Tess Tess there's your test no no she said it was twisted ankle thanks thanks oh she's gonna let him help so oh I didn't take the sock off well I guess there would be a rip in the sock there's probably more ahead you guys are over analyzing yeah I like it was it everything else man you can't deny that view instead of the zombies just not like want to hang out in daylight well the way they try to stay away from it like mold doesn't grow very well and yeah yeah right they were responding when the Sun it wasn't like trying to like get away it wasn't like vampires were like burning they're just like yeah because we're uncomfortable they like recoiled a little bit I'm staying where here our luck had to run out sooner or later huh called it ankle it's good oh my god wow wow okay say goodbye shoot her in the face when no probably in the mall there they weren't with her most of the time when they were well I'm thinking to go ahead and put some of her blood on it or something like that oh Maybe oh hers is healing this is real but she's just trying to convince him to continue with the mission oh I know tries to spreading I feel like that's different oh no it's gonna hit the spot and let everybody know where they're there it's gonna communicate to the others oh no look yeah oh and it makes them get up oh no they're communicating yep oh yikes do I give give Tess the gun oh there's some weapons come on can we take a couple but use a couple I don't think you need to throw them all out there you can put a couple in your pocket you know I think it's safe to say she's not thinking clearly right now bro I I really like it from her I thought she was gonna be like uh he's not gonna tell him until it's too late you know yeah then that's gonna I think that's in her no I love this I don't I love this you wouldn't want to put them in Jeopardy like that decision to have to make that was a good character was a good character uh here comes the death of a true warrior let's go hey Wanna Be Friends okay well you gotta oh you're gonna make out oh he's infecting her more come on like seriously you could have just picked up a [ __ ] grenade it would have been so much easier and then you wouldn't had to [ __ ] make out with fungus man I'm like wondering why they chose that as the the means there like why a kiss why imagine that being your first kiss I would say many people would say first kiss was very similar to that she has very awkward say that again Tom so that's just a little first kisses are a little clunky yeah Tess she's gonna be like well she went out with a bang like a weird I was an interesting death not to out to think on that for a minute that's the end wow yeah wow I liked how human it was like she was terrified she didn't try to go down like you know Arnold Schwarzenegger right but like why did she let it kiss her like that like why didn't she try to run she couldn't get the lighter stuff I know but then that's more reason to run away no like I'm interested in that choice for her why that's interesting I think she was faced with the fact that there she's surrounded by these things and probably terrified realizing that even if she ran it's just that one off right I mean if she would have even like to me imagine being in that situation I mean if she attacks that thing or defends herself it's just going to create noise and then it's immediately over she was probably just overcome with fear I mean curiosity no like what is it gonna do kind of like I'm assuming she's been out running these things up until this point right like maybe it was kind of like just defeat and kind of like curiosity I'm not so sure in that moment you can have curiosity it's true I think like terrified so maybe she just froze I don't know I think all she thought was I need to get this to light and she kept lighting the light it doesn't matter what happened I'm just gonna keep doing the motion of striking the lighter with me the look on her face when it started approaching it was just absolute Frozen in fear yeah like completely terrified yeah poor thing oh I I I thought that we're not gonna lose her very like early on like in the second episode I thought it was gonna be like third maybe like already like early third but like that was like very soon I think I'm pretty sure we're gonna lose somebody every [ __ ] episode just like Game of Thrones oh my God die third episode third episode oh boy this is the biggest from what I understand you guys said it was awesome so one one deviation from the game is that uh this whole spreading throughout the ground you know like a like uh like you know what happened when they shot that zombie and then they all came running yeah that was something in the game uh how it spread in the game was by spores okay um like like they go through certain phases uh and after a certain phase they can once they die they release spores and if you inhale them you get infected orbit those are the two ways uh there was never this like conglomerate of like communication of all the so then how does um how how does does test die how do the uh this in the game how do the zombies then notice swarm that Firefly yeah this this is not a spoiler because it's over uh it's different in the game in the game uh they get their uh uh the fireflies are all dead but it uh fedra killed the fireflies and they uh are coming back into the building after tracking them because they killed the guard outside of the quarantine zone right okay okay yeah so they're being tracked by fedra they get to this building all the fireflies are dead and federal storms the building and Tess has been bit so she decides to stay and fight off bedra as you're making your exit okay ah so instead of zombies it's Federal so I wonder why they went that route why did they decide to go ahead and they wanted to not have them killed humans they wanted it to be zombies well I guess I imagine Phaedra or fedra or whatever not going to play as much of a role in the um show I mean they have to play such a huge role like the big fascist like I mean it's honestly Ace like you you think that why would they even go after that I mean okay they killed one of them but why would they go after them and a zombie apocalypse you'd be like ah the zombies will take care of them you know it's also true why would they be hunting them I I get that well they're trying to hunt Firefly so maybe they think all right well if we follow them we can get to the we can get to other places where the resistance is I don't really think they specify in the game but yeah that's how it goes down and uh yeah she just uh she is they're trying to break through the door you and Ellie leave because you're playing this Joel in the game at that point uh and uh you leave the general area to where there she's out of your sight and you hear a little bit of gunfire and then you go through the the state capital and you end up being on the like the balcony above and you can see Tessa's body down there oh okay with with Vedra agents like just killed her no no no there's like I think she kills two two agents but no so after you have to fight off in the game so after what you just said this makes the test kiss like even more interesting because in the game it's spores it's not even through that way and then it's Phaedra fedra I don't know why I keep saying Phaedra fedra um that kills tests in the end so like that's that was like a direct decision of like the screen writers and directors maybe they're trying to make it more shocking so after every episode they come they come out and they do like a fireside chat type thing uh alive uh they talk about the episode and they when they said that the spores wasn't very realistic they didn't really like the idea of sticking that in the show because I mean spores are everywhere like you if you walk anywhere once it just doesn't make sense to be spread that way it would everybody would be infected okay I can see that yeah and they're like like in the game if there's certain areas that you could the visibility is so bad because the spores are so thick that you and you have to put a gas mask on or else you die okay and they said they just wanted to avoid all that and so they changed the way that it started it's only through bite and yeah by and hair kissing and bite and make out yeah interesting all right I like it trying to like tell you guys stuff and like in my mind wait wait wait wait wait wait there's no spoilers right but yeah I it was better than the first time it was definitely not better than the first episode no way you don't you don't think it was no no I don't think it was better than the first episode I think it was you know just kind of like a bridge to the next step to figure out a way to get rid of tests definitely built the Ellie um relationship uh like the father daughter um relationship that's what this episode was about um so many times when you know he made like the dad joke uh the only thing bad in here is you and how she pretended to be a zombie and stuff like that and so when that happened I was like Tess is a goner because we started the series at like he it was just him and his daughter and I was like yep Tess is not long for this series anymore because I feel like it makes sense for the two of them to go on forward on their own so um that's definitely what this episode felt like they were trying to establish this whole episode was about how to get rid of Tess no no no no no I think like establishing the father-daughter relationship and then I think like Tess's job was kind of done yeah like she could have continued but it makes sense and then she served her purpose by buying them time to survive right I'm I'm just like very surprised how Elliot just like knew that she was infected like her temper yet yeah was it was it she was like oh she's well I mean she made the statement uh luck had to run out or whatever yeah uh so I mean I think it was pretty yeah it was just intuitive yeah I mean people only talk like that one yeah like that's over [ __ ] is yeah although when she said she was staying the face she made when they reunited after the genital wart guys um I don't know there was something in the way that she looked at them clapping um something about the way that she looked at them when she was walking up to them like almost like uh like she knew there was just something in her face when when she found them again then I was like was it that look when she opened the door that we were all like no that was when they they went and not when she was being taped up it was like a minute before that before because she was like so she got just my ankle but the way she answered that in the face that she made I'm like no that's not size just her ankle all right so did she get bit in the museum yeah yes or she could've been the most you got bit in the museum no she definitely got bit in the museum well cool yeah wow all right that was good episode for episode three oh boy uh nervous heard that's a good one I almost wish it wouldn't have been built up for you guys so you could just be caught off guard but yeah well yeah that's not gonna stop me from crying I'm sure it's tough it's tough to avoid and avoid the spoilers I still have no idea what's going to go on and I have a I have a a talent for just forgetting stuff when I'm watching yeah I hear you on that hey blue spoiler enjoy it as much as I did spoiler alert yeah somebody dies I'm sure wow I'm sure maybe even more than one yeah might be more than one all right that was fun right babe all
