fireflies in order to save Ellie because making the vaccine would mean Ellie dies he also told Tommy that Ellie doesn't know what he did Joe and Tommy ride back to Jackson Joel visits Ellie's house and plays guitar and sings for her he gives her the guitar and says that they can start their lessons tomorrow as he promised to teach her how to play in the first game four years later Ellie is woken by Jessie knocking on her door we find out that Elias had an eventful evening she kissed Jesse's ex Dina had an argument with someone and Joel shoved that person as Ellie puts on her jacket to go out you can see Sam's robot from the first game before they all leave on their patrols we find out there's tension between Ellie and Joel from Maria Tommy's wife then you play as a new character who's searching for some way she thinks maybe in Jackson meanwhile Ellie and Dina find an underground weed farm on their Patrol struggle to open a jar of weed so Dina smashes it Dina and Ellie start smoking weed because of a blizzard outside become flirtatious and then things become hot and sweaty then we switch back to Abby again as she gets attacked by a runner and luckily for her Joe and Tommy's patrol was in the region so joe saves abby they can't outrun the horde to Jackson in the blizzard so Abbey suggests to flee to where her friends are holed up so they go we then go back to Ellie's perspective once Ellie and Dina are done doing whatever Christian activity they were doing Jessi shows up saying Joe and Tommy haven't shown up to get relief from their shift so the three split up to find them once troll Tommy and Abbey get to Abby's friends location and introduce themselves Abbey shotguns Joel's leg and Nora knocks out Tommy Black is badass self Joel says speed you gotta burst get this off with a B then start swinging with a golf club le makes it to the cabin that they're holed up in and tries to shoot a B and save job but she gets restrained and begs for Joel to get up and for them to stop she watches as Abby delivers the killing blow after this dramatic event Elian told me have a discussion as they won't revenge but Maria can't spare people to leave as it will leave Jackson vulnerable Ellie points out that if it was the other way around Joel would be halfway to Seattle ready because the killers had Washington Liberation Front jackets and then they Hal get out before Ellie Andina leave in search of a B and the W LF they visit Joel's grave and his house where Ellie lovingly smells his jacket looks at the picture of him with his daughter Sarah taste his revolver and the broken watch Sarah gave him Ellie goes down to see Maria who reads a letter to her Tommy left saying not to let Ellie go after him he is gone to get revenge for his brother but doesn't want Ellie to partake in it Maria reluctantly gives Ellie and Dena ammo and a horse and send them off on their way they get to Seattle one spot one of the people that killed Joel dead Ellie notices another body and tells Deana that Tommy did it this method Tommy used was the same method Joel use to find Ellie in the first game you ask one of them where you want to go and if the other person shows a different location you [ __ ] them up because they're lying they keep riding and suddenly get ambushed their horse dies and Ellie gets captured luckily Dena slips away turns out one of the people that ambushed them was another one that killed Joel just as they were going to shoot Ellie Dena shows up and shoots that one in the nick of time Dena is getting overpowered by the other WLF fortunately Ellie was able to cut her restraints and stab him in the side the neck she checks his body and finds photos of them and finds a letter saying they're in a TV station as they proceed they get attacked by infected in an area with spores and Ely's gas masks breaks Dena goes to share her gas mask so Ellie is forced to tell her about her immunity they get swarmed by a horde and have to outrun the Horde to get to a building and barricade it this is where Dena tells Ellie that she's pregnant when she hears this Ellie is angry as Dena has become a burden and had she said something sooner they could have turned back as Ellie goes to calm down she finds a guitar and plays it this makes her have a flashback this flashback was of Joel teaching Ellie to swim and taking her to a museum on her birthday this museum was perfect for Ellie it had dinosaurs and space since Ellie would have loved have been an astronaut the next morning Ellie wakes up to Deana having fixed the signal for a radio on the radio the WLF was speaking and they overhear that there's a lone male trespasser which they believe is Tommy at a place called Hillcrest however it turns out the male trespasser is Jesse and yes I'll be discussing this scene in more detail in my next Last of Us 2 video anyway Ellie and Jesse make it back to Dina despite getting attacked by the wlf Dina lets Ellie know that she heard through the radio that Nora the woman that knocked out Tommy was assigned to a hospital on her way Ellie runs into a cultist group known as the Sara fights who are currently at war with the wlf overland and he savages her way past them and finds a wlf soldier playing hotline Miami on her PlayStation Vita asks her at knifepoint where Nora is she says Noor is in the upper floors and tries to attack Ellie so Ellie shanks her in the throat seems to me Ellie loves going for the jugular Ellie finds Nora in the hospital asks her for Abby's location Nora doesn't say but instead says that joel is a little [ __ ] that got way deserved and runs off Ellie chases her down and she still refuses to say anything about Abby so Ellie beats and tortures her for information when she gets back to Deena and Jessie Ellie says that she got it out of her and that Abby was in the aquarium but Ellie was clearly traumatized from the experience and was trembling Ellie has another flashback this time it was Joel telling Ellie the truth about the fireflies the vaccine and what Joel did Ellie gets mad at John says their relationship is over when Ellie wakes up Jessie asks her if Deena is pregnant as she hadn't told him yet Ellie says that she is so Jessie says even though he wants to help Ellie they need to bring Dina back to Jackson and he agrees but won't leave without Tommy because he's out there because Ellie insisted on this quest for a revenge so Ellie and Jessie set off to find Tommy at the aquarium hoping Tommy will go there looking for Abby however they later find out Tommy is somewhere else but Ellie still wants to go to the aquarium to find Abby so Ellie and Jessie go their separate ways once Ellie gets to the aquarium she gets attacked by a dog which she kills then she finds two of the people that killed Joel and asks where Abby is they attack her so she kills them both Ellie finds out that the woman she stabbed was in fact pregnant which she felt quite traumatized about meanwhile Jessie had found Tommy and came to get Ellie but in her shock Ellie drops the map that pinpoints their hideout the next morning Ellie and Jessie hear loud noises so they opened the doors and bang Jessie gets shot in the head Abby has Tommy at gunpoint so Ellie drops her gun and puts her arms up we then go to Abby's perspective again and have a flashback it turns out Abby's father was the surgeon that was going to operate on Ellie in the first game we see a discussion between him and Marlene who was the leader of the fireflies turns out she was initially reluctant to do the surgery when she found out Ellie would I Marleen even asked Abby's father if he would do it if it was a B he was operating on and he doesn't respond but they decide to do it regardless after he begs her to be able to do it anyway Joel goes on this killing spree and we see Abby find her father dead we now see a be in a more present time find out that her friend and former boyfriend Owen has gone AWOL from the wlf of the supposedly shooting Danny another WLF number Abby believes she knows where he could be so she goes looking for him at the aquarium on her way she gets caught and almost hung by the Sara fights luckily for her she was able to get free thanks to two certified children outcasts Abby helped them get to her somewhat safe area because the sister had injured her arm due to the Sara fights having smashed it in with a hammer Abby makes her way to the aquarium and finds Owen he explains that he and Danny were fighting Sara fights but an old man wasn't fighting back so Owen refused to kill him so Danny pointed his gun at Owen they got in a scuffle and Danny got shot own was also a former Firefly along with all the people that killed Joel he believes due to a rumor fireflies are resurfacing in Santa Barbara and he wants to go as he had enough of fighting for land he doesn't care about Abby an Owen start arguing and this scene proceeds to happen [Music] the next morning Abby feels guilty having left Lev and Yara the Sara fight children in a trailer so close to the surface looking to kill them as she gets there Yara is in worse shape so they go to the aquarium so Mel a nurse can take a look at her by the way Mel was also pregnant with owns baby yeah turns out Yara's bone had shattered so it needed to be amputated but Mel didn't have the equipment needed to be able to amputate her so Abby goes to the WLF hospital that Nora's at to get their equipment she had to fight some sort of Resident Evil boss to retrieve it but eventually she makes it back and Yara is successfully amputated and makes a full recovery after she has recovered Yara and Lev argue about what to do next Yara wants them to go to Santa Barbara with Owen and Mel but Lev wants to go back to their mother so he runs off by himself however Yara says he won't be welcomed back with open arms as Lev disobeyed tradition by shaving his head when trying to find boats Abby runs into Manny someone else that killed Joel they start getting sniped at by Tommy they have him in an area and tried to smoke him out when Tommy comes out of another door and pops Manny with a head shot Abby and Yara are able to find a boat and get to the Sarah fights island they reach Levin Yara's house to find their mother dead with left crying having killed his mother in self-defense on their way off the island Yara is killed by a wlf soldier in the middle of a massive battle between the wlf and the Sara fights somehow the other two managed to escape the island and get to the aquarium only to find Abby's dog Alice Owen and nel all dead using the map that Ellie dropped in shock when she found out Mel was pregnant ambien Lev were able to find their hideout now we're back in present-day with Abby about to shoot le Tommy goes to the song Abbey but fair and get shot in the head then a fight between Ellie and Abbi ensues after a game of cat and mouse like against David in the first game Abbi beats Ellie half to death when Dena attacks her then left shoots her with an arrow Ellie begs Abby not to kill Dena because she's pregnant she was about to do it as well until Lev told her not to Abbi spares them both and warns Ellie not to ever let her see Ellie ever again some time passes since that day Ellie Dina and baby JJ now live on a farm close to Jackson while life is calm for them Ellie still has PTSD from Joel's death one day the family get a visit from Tommy that's right somehow he survived that point-blank headshot anyway Tommy says that he and Maria broke up he also has a lead on where Abby is he's unable to walk very well so he's asking Ellie to go when she declines it Tommy has a go at Ellie before he storms out that night Ellie gets ready to leave to find Abby and put an end to her misery but Dena tries to stop her saying not to let Abby ruin their family but she leaves anyway in the meantime Abby and Lev have been searching for any remaining fireflies finally they find out the location of 200 fireflies but as soon as they step foot outside they get jumped by a group now Ellie's on the hunt for Abby falls into a trap left by the same people that kidnapped Abby Ellie being her badass self escapes makes them tell her where Abby is and kills them anyway Ellie eventually finds Abby and forces her to fight Abby bites off two of Ellie's fingers and Ellie starts to drown Abby but then she has a quick flashback of Joel and stops she lets Abby and let go when Ellie comes back to the farm the house is empty assumedly Dina and JJ went back to Jackson as goes to play the guitar she's unable to because of her two missing fingers that's when we get the full contents of the flashback that made Ellie let go of the desire to kill Abby this was the night before his death Joel tells Ellie that even though she was pissed at him if he had the chance to go back he'd do all of it again then Ellie replies that she doesn't think that she can forgive him for that but she'd like to try then Joel and Ellie tear up and the final shot of the game is Ellie walking on the field to go back to Jackson thanks for watching the video make sure you subscribe if you want to
