they got a stop sign but we're gonna watch them with the eagle eye just in case ya already had to pull out the front of that amazing yeah when we get raises well I'm not part of the raises but I'll make sure you get it once they're put there there I thought I had to think about so well you know it's not very far it's kind of strange telling somebody else in your truck that you don't know she'll be very interesting say the least I've never been I shouldn't say never because actually I was in a truck I did climb up in it but that's the only time I've ever actually been in a truck that gets quite the climb up here so if you can't get sleep here but that's fine that's no big deal I've been an instructor before - I'm still an instructor but I don't take drivers out anymore but I like driving nice a good company of good open-door policy and you can talk to anybody if you need something you have an issue that communicate and they'll work it out for you being in as best they can all right how are you I'm Susan nice to meet you then I'm Linda ready to go for a ride I'm ready to go I always say a girl can never have enough clean that's it I'm thinking that this is it's very hot right there it's very hot right there and it's uh it's a pain in the butt like they kind of do everything nothing's done for them we walk into the office and complain about our computers messed up as a flat tire there's our mud flap she just had the spare month left it's like Walmart in her truck I mean who thinks to carry this stuff people have been driving for 17 years I guess so you're always prepared yeah I can teach you how to drive you can teach me how to drive yeah that's what I do I could teach you how to drive a stick sticks more fun dick yes this is fun because you know it seems you in traffic so I tried driving stick shift one time in my life my husband is the probably one of the nicest guys and he he yelled at me I thought he was ready to kill me it's always better than yeah there's all kinds of storage everything is playing you won't get 38 you can raise your seat up this is air ride that as high as you want and then there's these things in the back if you push these buttons you can adjust the pads in the back of stuff all right so we're gonna hook up to this I'm gonna get my tire gauge out and you want to help me hook up sir all right pull it up go up a little bit and put it up here like this there you go you know awesome there you go okay so when we back up a hood of the trailer and we leave our four ways on so that we're going to walk around and check all the lights okay treads good no bare spots or nothing and then we do this every time we pick up a trailer because we're gonna load it's going to be loaded and roll down the road see it's got a hundred pounds of air it just got less than 95 it's considered flat since I'm OCD wouldn't be one more touch we're out of here had the Pepsi so we can go to Vegas Vegas yards really nice yes I've always been out of the straw sure you got one more for my other passenger there's never too many ice cream thank you have a good day all right I like free food max are always good so prior to driving what if you do I worked for a major retailer as a soar manager and operational strength and I retire and I had friends that work the droves and that went for a couple short little rides and I liked it because you're Alan you me cuz I like people so I like to customers outlets lunch remain for retail because I like the customers so we're here I'm gonna wait behind this other guy right here I'm on line at night yes you know you do a trade here for a trailer for trailer we're going to do our live at shipper and I'm gonna hit Send they know we're here we're getting a little check-in my friend all right do I need anything nope I have it I have a pen I have 5740 oh my gosh are you done yeah you've been behaving this is Linda she's throwing a ride along to see what it's like he's a good guy makes it easy to come places and pick up loads when you're just kind of normal everyday person that's Kevin he does short-haul I know that almost everybody yeah I'm gonna say hi to Kevin okay I really yeah we just know everybody by their first names there's no backup camera here you got to simply disposition the trailer where you want to be you're driving the trailer impressive so we're here you know set the brakes we're going to look real quick to see if our trailers right here it might be out back over there what's our trailers going to be six nine seven eight one and it weighs 45,000 pounds - eight is it at night in the 90s it's a night trailer so I will have to put a couple cargo straps in it probably and then I would put my lock on there I would padlock to you doesn't sound like every seal it oh you know what awesome let's get this on her while we're sitting here we're gonna hook up to that anyway we got to sit here for a minute I'm gonna get the tire gauge check the tires and everything I'm gonna put the cargo straps in it then we'll move over to hook up to into the lights okay cuz see then we gotta move because it's missing a mud flap so we're gonna go back over to the yard and have GCR put a mud flap back on the trailer so the problem is is a driver drop this here for reload with no plans lat that's always helpful whether it looks like it got ripped off because there's little parts inside the thing missing yeah but we don't actually have to go to the ER being an old driver I have a mudflat so if we have a few we'll do that ok ok what we do when we have to do ourselves ok so let me get up here how about that she's a mechanic too [Music] [Music] and we have a flat tire we're going to fill up this tire okay we have air so stretch it down all the way down there reaches okay hey row by day today I get to be up topic in it it takes a few minutes tear up 100 pounds [Music] [Music] I gotta slide the tandem so we're gonna pull this handle back here that's pretty cool these are awesome they're called grime boss their extra-large hand wipes or you can use it'll wipe off grease on something if you get grease on your shirt it'll come on take up paint dirt everything I like it and they got scrubby side that's kind of nice because if you're really trying to work on some window thing oh yeah get a bigger house ready get a lot of exercise I'm starting to get warm out good news racy well we're going to stop on the way out of town and we're going to scale this load because it's heavy so we have a certified cats feel receipt we're gonna scale we're gonna run in use the restroom and get our coffee so that we can make it up to I 40 where there's no restrooms in between we're gonna go to the vegas yard and show you the baby short seconds I guess you're gonna stay there overnight okay and I'll show you the showers and the restrooms and all that could be like everybody oh look at that another car coming through Wow boning up and glad he was hand attention she has her phone in her hand you see that yeah I did number three and wearing a red like I mean it's not like wearing a camouflage truck you know I mean it's bright red like number three so do you have children remarried how shall I add a career or very I do this and I have a lot of friends I might I don't have family my fan see I never really tell me about your cancer well I found out I was I started getting sick I started having heartburn so I went to my old doctor which I was finally able to get in she did blood work and looked at me and the lab is right next to her office and she got the blood work the next day and I started Kiva with one of those packs you were with the thing coming out of your chest yeah I started that and I started radiation high-intensity radiation for 12 weeks so at the time at this time I'm in remission so how about you what's been going on with you besides wait for your husband well now Arizona is our home but I do I have two girls they're already older now they're both married and out of the house and boys or girls both girls my daughter gets mad at me because you know she can't have this if she can't have that and I'm looking at her like she's at my house be what she wants we're gonna tell you when my youngest one moved out was there a little bit of a depression there and I didn't think I've always said that there's no way I don't can't imagine living without them how would I how would I survive now that they're gone both are forgotten we sure that's it pretty pretty easily my husband's yeah you see how this party is the warden is very calm Mont are going to learn left leg the Pokemon I could make the road means favor strong winds possible next that's the dirty that was worth the trip right there well you got to see the damn and from my pie you got to see like me I see it the straps here well yeah it's pretty nice it's not a huge yard so sometimes on the weekend when there's a bunch of drought trailers it's the middle crowd it's my little junk box right there cuz I don't like stuff rattling around so I put it off a little box I straighten it up nice and organized without a doubt in my mind I just while I'm driving I just take everything and just stuff it in there and then when I at the end of the day I straighten it out right away where I don't think that's nice it says welcome home drivers I like the eight and a half mile so you said 8:30 so we'd want to leave here by rolling over the pilot get our coffee somebody would she leave her at seven that way of pilots busy I'll make sure my badge works okay yeah yeah there's proof now there's proof now there's nobody more important than a driver absolutely you don't believe that I believe there is nothing why there's nothing more important than a driver that's why there that's why she finally got to go okay they do we actor have you not seen any of the films why not you haven't seen any of them I'm the fourth one going out nobody what's wrong with you guys let's see kevin kross went out socio oh we had TJ Presley who's the senior vice president of recruiting for you guys bill Ramsey just went out there is it Dave Jackson president of the company he's he's out next week Thursday art this week Thursday and Friday there's gonna be five total of us we're going out to ride and see what you know what are you guys dealing with day to day all right so the shower one yeah you should be all right yeah and then you got some paper towels usually so mentally I'm good [Music] what time is it six so bright light holy crap it was a comfortable sleep but it was not it's just like camping that's exactly what it is it's like camping inside of a toy hauler or a travel trailer yeah so if you camped right in the early in the morning at least it's a nice morning it's pretty I was actually really surprised at the amount of space because I didn't feel cramped or good morning how are you so I'm trying to pre-trip with the seminar real quick okay okay so that way you can get a minute to situate yourself enough okay I wouldn't have wanted to sleep with the windows down so not to mention as a female it's kind of scary to know that your windows are down because now anybody can just walk in so which I feel comfortable because we're in a night yard but it hadn't even at a truck stop there's no way I would have felt comfortable with my windows open yeah he he was thinking about being an owner off I ran into him last night - he was walking to the truck stop and we were coming back and he was on his own face time with his wife so yeah he introduced me to his wife and showed me his pet fish and he's got two dogs and a cat that was the one that was leaking it or was flat last time yeah and see it's still losing air so we're going to air it okay okay we're gonna go to feel I think the shop and then I'm gonna let them know it's probably got a bad foul either Peter but I guess either still stop Oh swagger right in 1099 or thing as the lights not long enough except there's a minute slow down on i-15 south so we're best all of them you're still on the fastest group I know this is terrible what's our window our appointments at 8:30 usually that you know you have a little bit of time before after but especially when something like this happens even though we left on plenty of time sometimes things happen people are strange in traffic I was just I was shocked at the amount of time it took to merge Lane like you just don't understand it and it's not like you know traffic like you can go fast I mean you're stuck in traffic what's one more truck in front of you everybody's on the same place and you know if they wanted to get in they'd be like trying to get in they want somebody to help yeah and they don't want to let trucks in anymore they want their groceries oh yeah so they muscle dyspepsia that's right and look a lot of Pepsi traps back there it's gonna be around but when the thing is is a lot of assignments they have that's what it does they don't keep it but it's like they don't talk to the customers have to say they go we've done construction we have a new entrance it might be we'd like that I see nothing lame it's all upright say that that's for the next trip this again top cause we're gonna scan that let me give you some wipes okay you need a broom I'll give you some [Music] you stay careful oh that's good smells like it nice and clean I like that when the blue the ocean but to make my environment bridge now we got good so now we go take this t.j.maxx my seven raisin bagel from the park are you ready ready wrap I don't want to eat in front of you so I wait it already was fun of me right now well I'm right but I have my bag we'll see [Applause] and that's the difference between going places to different people the other dawn and I said I need this under this number what happened well it says we dropped eight oh seven oh eight two eight oh three oh eight would be in the wrong place to be on this tell me look you're gonna try it that's it yeah I'll go with you it's where I would have dropped the trailer previous in yes in the end of the to 911 3:30 100 all right over all these other and holy cow nobody had a man they have their trailers looking for trailers one two three four five six seven eight nine ten oh my gosh eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen you can send an email and tell them how many trailers they have because there are suppose have a trailer pool but maybe not that many when I might we're almost good we're almost good last one got the legs cross crossing my arms good look at that that's awesome go back to the heat that guy go around this way or just get all he came in to pick up there go away I thought it was for us she was a lot nice to just go around he was a little risk before yeah well you didn't you didn't hear me but I come in and I told I told the eye behind sky there that they like though Isis was talking time that happens which you have to be nice and very good I know so Aiko just terrible though that they are the customers shouldn't be so means here the drivers I try to kill them with kindness didn't work quite so saying we're gonna take 14 miles on one for 146 yeah okay if they're having a go around are those wills underneath it do you see how pretty that is open the hood that way to clean I can't use that little stick thing in my bobber let me open the hood you would know not me I know I feel like it I got the truck wash my life about good debug you could have so covered the spots up so I have a spray and I spray the windshield with simple green I opened the hood straight they got the water hose that's Brianna and they got the squeegee is cranberry yeah I see the night truck that this was a lot of rehearsing yeah the plan is to get our selves over here to the i-10 in exit 59 that goes down to lower Buckeye and take a left and see the TV max warehouse roll-up Phillip with our paperwork check and we'll drop this trailer you are empty call and then go back over park near the front parking lots I could I could go in from the front are you parking the progress Hubbard party did you where the after you pass the sidewalk with your flashing sign I'm parked near the the trip actually the trip back I don't feel like it took quite as long well though we left a little earlier yeah it was nice to get a trailer with mud-slap and with all tires working yeah although we did not have the valve extenders yes yeah we only get 8 or 10 when I made it I was good and really good helping out and I really appreciate it era prior everything so I am not cut out to be a truck driver it's definitely harder than I thought it would be it was a struggle for me although it was easy I was a very I was with a very safe driver a very wonderful driver well thank you you're welcome she didn't hit that one herb I would have ran over I don't even know how many curbs and people even look at the number of people that pulled out in front of them yeah so many people pulled out front of us well evidently people are just not truck friendly because we're getting on and off the freeway that we will just cut us off like we're not even there I mean we refuse they don't even care friendly everyday people so if you're at a truck stop and you see a trucker that actually truck stop the one of best places we can gasoline prices are cheaper I really uh gets really good coffee yes she did by the way the french vanilla and pilot Flying J the French vanilla coffee I recommend that was delish I think we had a actually pretty good too if it wasn't too bad it's it's strange having to for you know stop and explain everything because of what we're doing and that that's why we're part of process and it's a little strange for me but just somebody that's willing to go travel around for it's life you know yeah it was definitely an experience that I get to carry with me she's back safe I promise Jess and I bring your way back safe hit one her not one good since I'm a course instructor and still don't know that [Music]
