god is doing something good amen prayer brings everybody a life prayer is like energy we don't know what it's doing until there is enough measure to it therefore we don't get discouraged as we are seeking the lord amen for those who are watching online we just started last week a we talked about the school of prayer we started last week last wednesday so we are just technically building up many of us know about prayer we have read quite a number of books about prayer prayer is the only subject that you can't learn through books but you got to learn through your knees the only way to pray is to pray the only way to learn how to pray is to pray there is no other prayer no other way amen and so but we want to learn together brush up our skills but something about prayer is that prayer is contagious the more you hang around with people of prayer you'll start praying the more you hang around with people who are soft-hearted and they love god your heart will start melting and be wondering why is my heart hard and i'm not as soft as the person is it's something about having a contagious heart that is anointed with the spirit of prayer amen i learned how to pray when i accepted christ the first thing i was born into prayer i should say when i accept a try the next day i started praying for hours it's so therefore i should say that there must be something about the holy spirit that came upon me that i knew how to pray of course i saw my brother praying but uh praying together with someone is absolutely different from now you alone approaching god and you know what to do with him and so for a while you'll be modeling what you know the others who are doing how they pray what is the next line they are saying after a few minutes they are praising your modeling because you know that modeling works until you know your own pattern what works for you so over the years i've mastered so many different skills or prayers so that whether you are with the mattress or the baptist people or whether you are the anglican or the other roller coaster pentecostal maniacs you know what to do because you have learned how to pray with different people which style is the best style that jesus style will stop there is no best style of prayer which tool is the best tool to use there is no tool you ask a carpenter you are some mechanic you're a mechanic every tool according to different things you got to use different tools so every tool has a part to play i mean but the church is to be known if there is any other title that doesn't fit the church there is one thing jesus said my church will be measured and my church must be known it must be a house of prayer we can be so busy beautifying the church in every other way and we forget to purify it with the garments of prayer then we refill the test because jesus can only identify when a church prays are you with me then it is my church he said i will build what my church and we want to make sure the church remains in the hands of jesus it cannot come into our hands we must make sure that we must become guardians of god we must become guardians of the sanctuary that prayer must remain that way people say we want to be pray we want to learn how to be praying so that we can be powerful no prayer is never about you it's about the kingdom all the time what about me when the kingdom manifests in you that the power manifested in you but it's not about us that is why when prayer our answers doesn't come we get discouraged and we stop praying because we are thought prayer is to get your answers prayer is again your needs prayer and then they know how to do all of that and they forget prayer is all about just talking to jesus amen and so we want to cultivate a culture of prayer we want to cultivate a culture that we can you know we it cannot be known oh these are the people of prayer now we just want to be so realistic and so naturally spiritual we know how to love we know how to praise and worship we know how to talk loud talk soft talk silent whatever note are you following there is a school of prayer where they call the silent prayer retreat have you heard of this before nobody talks it's called silent prayer retreat seriously 8 o'clock they'll be quiet they will all check into the cabin a retreat center there will be a prayer coordinator she will come room to room and assist you with what god is doing she'll talk very softly and basically no one talks to anyone it's called a silent prayer retreat it could be like seven days you know a lot of repenting there will be a short hour and then you're speaking to god and people pay money to learn that but you don't have to pay money to learn how to pray and the one who is willing to mentor you is the holy spirit he's waiting to mentor you you don't have to attend a conference out there somewhere spend money and worry about kobe and buy tickets and all of that just buy some i don't know what whatever you want to buy and just be with the holy spirit for a while are you with me oh but my room is distracting then change your room my house i can't pray make sure it becomes a conduit of god's presence i am seriously saying if that's a house you you are staying in that house you cannot say you can't pray it's not demonized if you can't pray means then something is wrong spiritually that means god can't connect in the house something is really seriously wrong you got to change everything that god comes inside amen and the church must be a place where the lord shows up and that's what we want to talk about we talked about the book of acts and what happened during the book of acts and when the holy spirit came but in the year 2 0 1 5 i went to i i had some ministry to do in england and then i had some time to go to wales in uk uh in london and and then i went to uh wales and i had different ministry trips in kensington and uh bristol and different parts of it um and i had the opportunity to visit john wesley's church and knelt down at his pulpit and pray that god will anoint me and i went and visited george muller's orphanage and i knelt down at that doorstep and prayed that i will have that faith and i went to wales and that is something now i want to share as an introduction what i saw in the bible college of wales now if you have been a student of prayer you will know who is rhys howells he wrote about the intercessor you cannot be a student of prayer if you don't know his book okay he wrote the book of intersessor and that book has become almost the one of the revered textbook in intercession okay so i went to the bible college of wales because now the presently the bible college of wales is owned by a a church from singapore uh reverend young tak yoon who who's a good friend of house and a very loving brother it's a very big church is very well known man and then because of that there is a lot more exposure but in 1929 or rather 1923 if i'm still right with my history uh the bible college of wales was built or rather founded by rhys howells in wales uk he went to america in chicago and he saw moody bible institute and he was so fascinated by the institution that he came back to wales and he planted that work because god listen godly god asked him a question would you be willing to exchange your freedom for a prayer burden would you be willing to exchange your freedom for a financial burden you see whenever you do the things of god the burden of finance will come onto your heart there is no such thing ministry without burden there is no such thing if you want to be a leader of a ministry the pressure of the finance everything comes because that's the burden to do what god wants you to do are you with me we talked about oral roberts and oral roberts university and it costs millions of dollars and we're talking about the very early uh 80s where he built up that university and thousands of people were given millions of people were given and all that at that time he talked about was money and then people used to crucify oral roberts is there anything else you talk other than money because he was almost the founder of the seat money principle now one day in a personal interview he said he cried to god on his knees he said i wish that you would have given this vision to someone else because day in and day out i am crushed by this burden of this vision that they have given me you see my brothers and sisters everybody and everyone a different scope of time will be chosen by god when they are on their knees in prayer when we are praying it's dangerous when you deal and ask god to say god use me if you are willing to pay the price because the word use me it is like saying i do on the day of marriage and you've got no clue what you're saying are you do for what are you doing i do i don't know in hinduism the wedding is about three hours in christian marriage is like five minutes i do there's nothing more to say and people regret after saying i do when the moment you say use me you have no clue what god may tell you to do some people give up some people pressed on you need to have the heart of a lion to press on to capture the heart of jesus to do what god wants to do not everybody is given big things to do but when it's given to us we do it but no projects will come without a burden and no burden will come without a prayer amen that is why if we are a church with an apostolic grace if we are a church with a prophetic anointing those apostolic and prophetic anointings are rooted in the spirit of prayer that is why when the apostles were distracted by all the other ministry that was going on they say we will appoint they say that we will appoint seven men full of the holy ghost full of the spirit full of the gifts of the holy spirit that we will give ourselves to the ministry of the word and prayer today we want executives to lead the church we forgot that a church can only be led by people who pray are you with me the james is that wrong that executives cannot be part of the church assembly yes that's the logistics office but the pulpit must be saturated by men and women who know how to pray and spend time with the world do you understand what i'm saying are you with me because when you go to the restaurant you have an expectation what kind of a chef is cooking your food you have that expectation and you are paying for the money you want to have that kind of food in it how come when you come to church we don't have that expectation whatever rubbish that is being thrown is all good praise god no there must be that expectation because your expectation pulls the anointing your expectation releases the power of the holy spirit blessed are those who are hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be open your mouth wide and i will fill it the lord said and therefore in prayer it is the only opportunity we open our spirit man so wide that god will feel the book of acts was born in the spirit of prayer because jesus did not give the holy spirit without waiting he said go and wait a very interesting part about rhys howells that i want to tell you why the introduction is a little bit more important when i was there i was brought to there will be a tour guide who kind of bring you out everywhere so i went and after seeing is very sacred the moment i stepped in man i was hit by the unction of prayer he's talking about more than 100 years old his esto prayer was saturated into the stones it was hidden to become a silent voice and then they have what they call the blue room where rhys house will kneel and pray for the world and i went there the guide was beside me i said would you give me just five minutes alone i want to kneel and i want to pray i want to scoop up some from here and put it into my heart and i knelt and i prayed i prayed for the anointing of the holy spirit i prayed for the grace that in my last moments of life that i must be a man of prayer not dying in pain or crying or in emergency screaming away but it must be a moment of prayer after praying you open the door and you come out you will see the sea because the church at the school is built on the shore why is so important about the bible college of wales now by the way reynard banke went there to be trained as well men and women of god most of the famous guys have been trained there by this man called rhys howells one day the holy spirit began to disturb results in the spirit and he know that he was supposed to pray and he went on his knees and he began to pray and pray and pray because at that time during the world war one the german was invading the british at the time during the area there was a war that was going on and they began to pray that britain will not be invaded by the germans so he got the entire college they rallied the entire college and they fasted and prayed that god will stop the war in 1940 german forces begin to advance into france and then there was a general assembly people were getting ready there was a lot of citizens who are there at the show no one was sure whether these people are going to be saved because the german forces were invading so recycles god his entire team to fast and to pray seven days they began to pray seven days seeking god they slept very little they began to pray and seek god the british commander god he ordered his commanders to retreat by the nearby port of dunkirk and that's where the school is situated now by the way talking about school i think uh christine when did he go yeah she attended the bible college of wales and uh and so while this whole forces were uh uh going on while this whole issue was going on people were not sure but god gave an assurance to recycle you see you see the fact that we are praying is that god hears when we pray that's the reason we are praying and he finds some people they spend the whole night praying and then when they stand up you ask them do you think that god has heard your prayer we'll see you just wrote off your entire seven hours man in one line because the man who knows how to pray believes that god answers his prayer the man who knows how to spend hours with prayer in god because he knows that god hears his prayer because no one can pray that many hours with god if you don't know the heart and the nature of god and there are times where god may say no but he knows how to take hold of god and he is invading not only he is not a german but he is invading into the realm of the holy spirit he's pushing and only the the thing about prayer warriors and intercessors is this though it may seem you are praying alone the mighty army of angels are standing beside amen many days were given to prayer and prayer and prayer and prayer on may 24th god created a powerful miracle hitler commanded his army to stop invading all the troops were stopped they said don't go to the shoreline stop something happened god responded to their prayer at the beginning the british thought that they will be able to rescue at least 50 000 people when that show was empty when they went there they rescued 340 000 people the british the french and the belgians were snatched that day from the shore because there were unknown unnamed men kneeling together with race house that day and they prayed and they prayed and they prayed and they pushed that darkness today we know the names of rhys howells but we don't know who are the other students who knelt beside but god has the record my brothers and sisters today it seems as though darkness is waiting to invade our county our country i just read a news report and i shared with the latest meeting earlier i i hope it's not a hux i hope it is not a false news but it seems legitimate enough that some government agencies have requested that the lgbtq flag be also flown together in government agencies flags i hope it's a false news i hope it's a fake news but it's not all the news paper something you don't know which news to even believe anymore i hope it's false but look at the agenda that is going on and i tell you what's the agenda now guys do you know that it's warming up like you're baking a cake you know right whoever is knowing please please i i'm dark enough huh you're getting hot too can you please voice out it's supposed to be winter guys listen come on man okay what yes see the fleck is flying what is intention i want to tell you what listen god showed me what was the intention the intention is to test and challenge the very appointment of god of adam and eve god looked at adam and said you are adam you are a male looked at uh eve and said you are a female and you are a woman and your name is if god appointed the gender and the name are you following and so satan comes along now and he renames both of them the male shall be the female and you will go into cross gender and the female will behave like a man you will cross gender do you understand what i'm saying it is the very to challenge the very appointment the garden of eden what satan failed in garden of eden it's a failed project he thought he got them to sin but god protected adam and eve by getting the satan out protecting them and giving them a shield of the sheepskin by the covering of the blood and every other story but he protected them that day but again now that is the challenge of that garden of eden that is happening the very confusion of that appointment and that gender therefore we are to pray so that our agenda our prayer that why we must be prayer that we will become a fertile soul that the holy spirit can disturb our hearts our holy spirit can disturb when we are having lunch the holy spirit can disturb when we are having dinner the holy spirit can say stop eating and start fasting that we must be prudent enough and obedient enough and sacrificial enough to say god i'm willing to cancel any appointment and i'm going to seek you you see when you're hanging around with praying people you must be we must be willing for the holy spirit to cancel these appointments because they are subjective they are given to the agenda of the holy spirit he has the power and the right to rewrite your diary are you with me are you following we may not know what we are doing but the holy spirit is taking us as a control and he is doing something within and that's what happens in the book of acts last week we studied together the power of repentance as the holy spirit brought the church together that was the first thing they learned how to walk transparent before god that your words and what you say out of your mouth and your motives must be right and and ananias and sapphira did not know that day when they visited the church that was their last day because they think they could lie around they could they can spit around in the church and cup nagging about it talking about it whatever whatever they have done anywhere else you know for some people when judgment comes that day will be the last day if you got to be mindful when god watches over a church when he takes control of a church the sacredness of god in the house of god comes into play and that is why people who go around behaving in such a way where the arrogance and the self rules them and when they come to a certain church where they are praying seeking god with a humble heart there they are hit by the judgments of god because the spirit of god is watching over everybody are you with me in that church the fear of the lord will fall in that church the conviction of the holy spirit will be there yes we are human there will be differences all the time but there will be enough conviction and love to repair the relationship the holy spirit will take control of those events amen that was the first thing we talked about the spirit of repentance and conviction keep your heart solved and keep it ready when the holy spirit nudges you and say that is wrong we find it difficult to say i'm wrong we find it difficult to take percentage of how how many percent i'm wrong in that story because we are thought the moment you say you're wrong they will bash you down you see when the holy spirit is at work when you say you're wrong the holy spirit covers the whole thing with the spirit of love love covers a multitude of word that's the holy spirit's job it starts with us following the nurture of the holy spirit but there is a second part that tonight that we want to talk about when the holy spirit comes you see because we cannot learn how to pray without the holy spirit with the holy spirit we can do everything without the holy spirit we can do what something a little bit five people learn this magic word without the holy spirit we can do what absolutely nothing zero therefore if you know you're going to be nothing then better start working with the holy spirit because without him you can do nothing your life will be absolutely zero the ministry of the church will be zero without the holy spirit there was a research done by the varna group in america it's called the banner b.a.r.n.a they say they have done a wide research across the church of america and this is the answer without the holy spirit the church still will be successful because they have learned how to run the church without the holy spirit some of the big churches are run by ceos of large corporations they are employed to become the senior pastor ceo of larger churches where millions of dollars are in place now i i think they should fit the kind of uh finance manager corporate ceo not necessarily a spiritual ceo are you following think about it because the church itself has two functions it is a organization because it's registered with the government there is a certain rules lower in order that he has to abide with but there is also a spiritual part of the church so a natural man who is qualified in the natural order cannot dictate the other side which has to do with the spiritual order so next thing that we want to learn the second part when the holy spirit comes inside when a church is praying you see the church is born in prayer and that's the only way the church will be it is initiated with prayer everything you start you start in prayer and you finish in prayer listen one of the things that i've learned when you start wrong you'll end up wrong full stop no matter how big or small your project is it can be any relationship you start with god you will be having god all the way you start in the flesh you'll end up in the flesh and you've got to be struggling in the flesh all the time everything that we do for jesus when you start in prayer prayer will guide us it will watch over us amen in the book of acts jesus said this there are two things when the holy spirit comes this work internally and his work externally people don't know what does the holy spirit what does he do when he comes into our life we have a lot of theological books to read about on pneumatology you study about the holy spirit you just look at the book of acts when the holy spirit comes inside you he said wait till the holy spirit comes in the book of acts the bible says i want to give you some throw some points before we go into it in the book of acts you'll find jesus told his disciples wait till the holy spirit comes are you following but he did not say when he's going to come he did not say how he will come imagine man if i would tell you he's going to come like fire on your head you think you'll dare to pray with your eyes closed oh god when is that going to come and if he tells you exactly how many days he will come you'll come on the last day a lot of people do that they come on the last day they come for the last day of the anointing service they will ask which day this speaker is speaking in fact for this our conference there's already an email to ask which day this speaker particularly is speaking i told them every day which session every session what about the other speaker the same what about the other speaker the same i went to one conference i was the speaker they asked me how many speakers are speaking i say three who are they me and two yamaha speakers [Music] the two speakers are yamaha says one two three three speakers are speaking people are very interested they are interested whether the man is anointed by god now i'm not saying we shouldn't choose but choose by knowing the value of this man following god not that he's a clever speaker some guys in the conference they are speaking their book you rather buy their book than waste money in a conference are you with me we want to know but we want to know where the holy spirit is measuring itself jesus said wait until the holy spirit comes on you he did not say how many days he did not say how he will come then when the john the baptist now these all my early studies when i was waiting before the lord and the lord taught me look at this and i was asking him why so i'm sharing with you john the baptist the now god speaks to him on whom you will see the holy spirit coming like what a dove that means it must be a literal bird coming down right that bird will be commanded by god to come and land right at that time that was on assignment on whom you see the holy spirit coming like a dove that man is the son of god all right but he did not tell him which man it would be that easy right so what john the baptist must have been doing every day remember thousands of people came to him for baptism every day baptized go looking for where the holy spirit which one which one which one probably the 5 000 number would have done by the time hey go cousin you why you bro you know how many times i'm baptizing it cannot be you because i've never seen the holy spirit on you before but you say please can he do it we have to fulfill all righteousness when he went down boom the holy spirit comes and rests you know because if you would have told me earlier just solve the problem i know you for long man you know it was like i'm soaking myself in river jordan just to see your face why don't you just come to my house and say i'm the one you see when you are following god regardless of how old you are how mature you are how godly you are how saint you are there will always be the element of surprise in your life god will not tell you everything and you must make peace with the mysteries of god you must make peace when the times when god doesn't show you but he tells you to do exactly what he wants you to do please don't think that you can find out everything by praying no you will not be that is why paul said this is the mystery not shown this is the mystery of godliness you'll find the word mystery of appearing again and again in the writings of paul because there are many areas paul don't even know what was going on he said i tried entering into bithynia but the holy spirit prevented me i tried my best to go the holy spirit stopped me he didn't say he could have just simply said don't go but he didn't say don't go he tried his past his heart was blazing away for a missionary zeal to preach the gospel so he tried he did his best but the holy spirit kept blocking his path are you talking about the apostle paul you're talking about a man who has been taken up into the third heavens you're talking about a man who have seen god you're talking about a man who saw the last supper you talking about that man that is why the mystery and the relationship you and i have in walking with god is that it's an area of faith and there is also an area where you don't know what god is doing and so don't get stumble many people get stumble i don't know what god is looking at me don't get stumbled just keep walking because when you are hitting the next road he will tell you what to do if he doesn't tell you turn left or turn right keep walking straight is that scary absolutely scary walking straight is scary i think i told you what the australians used to tell me when i used to drive the car and i think i stayed about the first or second month when i was preaching uh for those i uh who have not heard that when i started to drive in australia for for my ministry trips and you know australian road uh those days we didn't have the gps there is no cell phones and you have a big map and you are checking out where to drive and where the junction points or how many kilometers is going to take in in australia and so i'm driving but it's not a straight road it will go down the valley and up the hill and and then it's suddenly going to a small road it'll be in the freeway and i'll be thinking did i miss the road and i'll stop i'll get very worried you know and i need to drive 10 hours i stop and i ask one guy he said ah no worries mate this how they will say no worry smite it's just up the road you keep going and when they say and up the road to a singaporean it sounds like 20 minutes 10 minutes but for an australian when they say no worries mine it's just up the road that's like five hours you're still up the road i get worried and after four hours did i make a mistake how come it's going in and out of major roads and small roads i'll stop again the next guy comes no worries bye this is up the road he kept going straight that way and by the time i reached that way it was 10 hours and then i said you guys are fantastic the point being is you're just supposed to go straight and don't worry about all the contours of your life the players will change new people will come into your storyline but god has not changed his plan don't worry about what's going on in washington d.c god has not changed the plan for america satan or antichrist has got no way into america because the bible says until he who blocks the way is taken up then the antichrist will come the church is still here he has got no full rule but god is training his saints how to pray his training is saints how to receive his training is saints don't get distracted by your goodness go and get distracted by health don't get distracted by wealth everything that you have is being challenged now oh bow your knees and pray i am the lord your god somebody say okay so everything that can be shaken will be what so we cannot be stumble because god is shaken you see the problem with us is we read the bible but we don't believe that god will do what he said he will do yesterday morning when we were praying i saw the lord's hand holding a fig tree and he was shaking and shaking and shaking and say whatever that is either falling or what is remaining that's our challenge isn't it think about it for a minute so god is shaking everything that can be shaken and our church will go through the test as well we are not exempted no one is accepted based on their godliness the more you pray the more we will go through the test no matter what the test is amen so when the holy spirit comes so the holy spirit came and god jesus did not tell him tell them how many people the bible says more than 300 old people came waited upon god because supposed to be 10 days no one knew 10 days we know 10 days today they did not know it was 10 days so two people went four people left 50 people left nobody came nobody came nobody came on the last day 120 people remained and the holy spirit came on that when i was on my first trip to jerusalem we went to the place of the upper room and man when the moment we entered the spirit of prayer came everybody started praying you don't know who the fellas is i don't know you you don't know me some fellas were praying in chinese some were praying in the tamil language some other pray in english all the different languages were there but when they were praying when they sounded like they were monks in the monastery it sounded one and then the lord opened my spirit man my ears were open and the prayers of the pillar you know the pillar these are ancient pillars the pillars there it was from the day of the apostles the pillars spoke to me it was saturated with the spirit of prayer and the holy spirit fell every stone carried a pod of god inside there's such a sacredness inside that when you come back you bring so much of god back are you with me you think about jerusalem if you have been to jerusalem what do you really see in jerusalem it's stones how old 2 000 years old 3 000 years old and you can see people standing beside the old stone and taking photos they are hugging the stone can you believe that they're hugging the stone there are plenty of stones here man go and hug something and take photos they're hugging the stones what do you see in old jerusalem old stones that's why old jerusalem without that do you think you will without jesus being there would you go to israel no you would not jesus made the whole story different in it prayer saturated something happens when people pray you see prayer lives longer than your age we'll have a time to die but your prayer that you pray will live longer so when the holy spirit came it came suddenly and on the last day 120 people were remaining and they received the anointing of the holy spirit they all spoke in tongues and the tongues had different languages they heard in different languages different people heard different languages so the first thing that comes in the book of acts you'll find repentance taking place in the second lesson that we will learn how the holy spirit when he comes what does the holy spirit do everybody asks this question so let me tell you something when the holy spirit come his first job is to make you holy that is why he's the holy spirit the first thing he does that is why when the holy spirit takes possession of a man when the holy spirit takes possession of a lady there will be a mark of godliness in their life you cannot be saying i've got the holy spirit and you leave like the bomb of the world it absolutely different people look at your godliness through your mouth and your speech that is the first response of the mug of the holy spirit taking control of a person you cannot have the moment your mouth and your tongue is not brittle then it is not handled well it is not under the subjection of the holy spirit you speak before you think you speak before the holy spirit can say something that means the holy spirit is somewhere lost inside you the bible says in the book of james chapter 3 when the moment your tongue cannot be handled it will set your entire course into fire so that is why when the holy spirit comes when you give your life to jesus the first thing he takes control you will change your way of speaking because you can destroy your entire life by speaking in the wrong way so the holy spirit will change the way that we are speaking because he will make us holy garbage words won't come out cursing words won't come out we will habitually curse and oh god forgive me you know because the conviction of the holy spirit takes over you'll be very smart in what you're saying before god because internally something is changing samuel chadwick one of the men of prayer he wrote this statement one of the essential equipment of the church is the gift of the holy ghost look at the statement that he wrote and it kind of how do i say you know i don't know people say that you feel like yo cold spirit entering to your spine you know the kind of statement expression he said worship is idolatry till the holy spirit inspires it preaching is powerless if it be not a demonstration of his power prayer is vain unless the holy spirit energizes it human resources of learning and organization wealth and enthusiasm reform and philanthropy are worse than useless if there be no holy spirit in them the church always fails at the point of self-confidence when the church is run on the same lines as a circus there may be crowds but there is no shekinah that is why prayer is the test of faith and the secret of power the spirit of god travails in the prayer life of the soul how powerful is this statement especially to an apostolic or a prophetic church the first thing the first spouse that the holy spirit will come inside and test the pulse of the church is whether the beats are speaking of prayer i you don't have to know much you got to see the program sheet how many prayer sessions are there that tells us whether this church is a praying church now we don't become a praying church by a few sessions of prayer we don't become a praying church by few speaking on prayer it takes two to three years to shape the church into a praying church until that we don't decide unless we pray we don't make decisions unless we pray unless we sow into prayer we will not reap the results without prayer amen it becomes a second nature one of the things that we have done all these years never make major decisions without fasting and prayer full stop the only way me and my brother talk before we say anything about god full stop did you fast and pray did you ask god first first line every discussion stops there we have made into a culture of prayer in our church no matter how many years i've passed it which have a church that i've planted the first thing did we pray before talking and after talking about it let's pray for us and see what god is going to say about it it must become the culture where the lord has the final decision the king has the final say doesn't matter who's saying what the king has the final say somebody say amen so when the holy spirit comes into a person's life number one he makes us holy you can find holiness in the church in the way the people dress up now we maybe we are from a rural area a little bit more country maybe it's not a problem but if you go into a city life you go into california that would be a challenge and not many pastors are willing to daring enough to speak about it some people do boldly talk about it and people think if you talk about all the addressing nobody would come but if you don't talk about it the enemy will come you'll tame another husband you'll tell another wife marriages will be broken up when there is no holiness now dressing are you with me i was preaching in a church in australia where the worship leader was wearing a short skirt standing up on the stage love bites everywhere and just leading worship that day i tell you i preach fire and bring stone in that church the first person to leave the church halfway while i was preaching it was the pastor i said good on you might i'll see you later he told me preach for 20 minutes and i tried to stop amen and the holy spirit said continue conscience the people were listening continue continue continue and the service is supposed to finish 8 30 it finished at 10 30. altar call is full of people crying and repenting some stones are rough and tough we need some time to break because the holy spirit loves the people more than our timing i was very upset man the first time i went to a church in australia it was man it was like minus six it was so cold my anointing oil was freezing i could not speak i could not feel and where are you it's all frozen everywhere you know i couldn't feel the heat of the holy spirit no results no anointing so cold i i mean i tell you i went back to the room i stayed in one of the elders house from 10 p.m i prayed till 4 00 am i was weeping and i was crying i was saying god i want to have a breakthrough in this church breakthrough and he showed me a vision i asked him why didn't you come out when i asked you to come and touch the people with the fire why didn't you come and touch and so the holy spirit showed me an australian vision do you want to hear australian vision i saw a hand open a freezer and he took out a a meat which is what very hot frozen solid like a rock and throw it in the fire straight away what do you get when you throw straight up into the fire burnt meat you see i am from singapore he has to teach me all this then he showed me another vision take the meat out put it out outside to tore it and then you put it inside the burning fire what happens now cooked meat you see on the first day i took those guys out of the freezer and i put them while you were preaching i was stalling them and today you will see the fire of the holy spirit coming on them so i couldn't wait and i couldn't sleep i thought after four am i'll sleep for a while nine hours like a racehorse waiting there for the sound about to run i couldn't wait i was waiting for that to happen and then i was preaching god showed me the history of the church the history of the church is 70 years old and the guys who started the church 70 years ago were still the elders of the church you're talking about guys who are 19 95 nothing wrong in that but i'm just saying so when i got the history as the holy spirit was showing me what is going on in that church when i get the altar call the first group to respond were all these guys and their wives 90s 80s 70s 50s and all line up together weeping and crying because over time it has become tradition you know what was very humbling for me you're talking about seasoned men even in their 90s something having a broken heart to respond before god that broke me man and the holy spirit told me i was seasoning them tonight you will see my spirit coming and their hearts will change i was 25 i think when i started all those ministry area i've seen without him you cannot make it without him you will not survive people didn't come to hear a singaporean boy who doesn't even know how to speak proper english but they wanted to see he can be used by the holy spirit and that's the hope we are giving our children to be taken over by god that god can do absolutely miraculous things through a church that is willing to cooperate with god somebody say do you know there is a book written how revival started in north carolina in the 1920s but the revival was really not identified it was uh michael who told me i think we should recommend this book to you it's not really famous book but apparently one guy research and you find in north carolina how the spirit of prayer came and the spirit of revival came the first pentecostal revival came and many men and women were touched by the power of the holy spirit and that's the result of many many big churches happening in north carolina and why not carolina is known as the bible belt i think today god has to change those things again when the holy spirit is at work the first work will be holy and then number two he will make us spiritual holy spirit so the second area he will make us is that we will become more spiritually aware of what god is doing in our life somebody say amen because that is the book of acts see before the holy spirit came into the book of acts it will not be really book of history i think when the holy spirit came it became the book of acts you cannot extract the holy spirit from the book of acts apart from him we can do what nothing so when he eternally come he brings the change first thing the bible says in galatians 5 16 walk in the holy spirit walk in the spirit so that you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh what do we teach our young people what do we teach people who are struggling with habits and addictions and all that we are teaching them don't fulfill the desires of the flesh 10 points to overcome 35 points to overcome nothing happens god's way of overcoming the desires of the flesh walk in the spirit you pay attention to the walk of the spirit there will be existing desires of the flesh there will be things and addiction still parking on to you there will be some habits which are still hiding inside you don't worry about that when you have walking in the spirit when the holy spirit is taking over you he will kick those things out of your system somebody say amen so the fact is let the holy spirit do the cleaning up so if anybody think well i'm not perfect enough to read the bible you can't be perfect without the bible i'm not clean and holy enough to pray in the spirit you can't be holy without the holy spirit and that's the love divine that we will not be able to appreciate that regardless of how many shortcomings and shortfalls we have inside our heart the holy spirit still takes possession of us amen so the holy spirit comes and when we talk about the school of prayer that's the first thing we got here when the holy spirit works john 16 verse 8 tells us that he will convict us of sin there will be conviction in our prayer there will be conviction in the preaching there will be conviction in worship there will be conviction whenever there is something wrong the holy spirit convicts us number two the bible says he will convict us of righteousness you see when we talk about spirit-led preaching when we talk about spirit-led prayer when we talk about spirit-led worship when we talk about spirit-led in serving god there must be a conviction of righteousness you see whenever we talk about whenever people say god told me to do it i want to know which scripture inspired you what did god speak to you this week is your life being contoured and shaped by the word of god because there are a lot of people who have they say you know god says you ask them where they don't know over time they came up their own formulas of god they have no clue where it says word they are quoting by memory of other preachers quoting it but then over time one guy tell the story to other the other one tell the other one and the third one will say a different version but it's not even in the bible anymore people think they are biblical but are they scriptural is a question we want to ask are you with me and so when the holy spirit takes over there will be a conviction of judgment as well now you do realize that we have taken the other parts of the holy spirit the part of judgment we want to reject he said all that how god doesn't judge anybody are you really sure judgment begins in the house of god now don't make god as a friendly circus and clown present him as who he is present him as who he said he was and he's going to come the same way amen that is a version of the bible that it talks about jesus as the judge there was this story real story in england about this priest the anglican priest with a cigar in his mouth he'll walk down the bridge and near the bridge will be this man addicted to alcohol and he'll be smoking and living in his own uh waste and he'll be smelling and every day this preacher will come by tell him about god tell him about the hell fire and tell him about all these and he walked away and he has been doing that for years in one day this man was sober he decided when this preacher would come by today he will talk to him and he came by and the preacher said the same thing to him with a sigh in his hand telling you about hell fire and all of that about conviction and so on and so forth that this man on that day he was sober this is what he said he said if it's really true that there is a real hell and there are real fire and if it's really going to burn those who do not accept jesus he said even if the streets of england are filled with broken glass i will walk on my knees and beg them to accept jesus by looking at your life i don't even believe there's a real hell because you don't exemplify a godly life my brothers and sisters the aura of the presence of god we carry speaks more louder than your words that you quote out of your mouth people watch with our lives are carrying a certain essence of god not just how many scriptures we call and so that's the question that we have today when the holy spirit takes away it's not just people praying together and loud enough so that every hell is shaken or it's so loud we are putting no it is not the loudness of our prayer it is not the length of our prayer getting the year of god is the goal of prayer em bound said that getting the year of god is the goal of prayer when i was 16 i was praying i was praying like a madman i tell you i was so madly in love with the lover of my soul like the shulamite lady every day i'll be finding where is this god when can i see him when can i hear his voice when will he touch me day in and day out i cannot explain that madness my mother became very frightened say what's wrong with you i think what do you mean what wrong you wake up four in the morning and pray you are 16 years old you come back from school you pray at night you are praying you're not going out you're not eating you're not playing with your friends you're not talking to anybody you are praying you read the bible for four hours every day what's wrong with you i said what is wrong with you i told her say what's wrong with me you told me to become a child of god and i became a child of god what's wrong with me i told you don't tell me about jesus you did not hear now i know about jesus you are trying to stop me i said too bad too late i'm going to go all the way till i find him one day i was walking down the road and the holy spirit told me walked straight and i walked kept on walking came to a point and he said turn right to this street i've never been into that street you say turn right and i walked right i turned right into that street i was praying 16 years old i turned right into that street and there was a second house was a prayer meeting i could hear them praying so loud it's a very old-fashioned pentecostal church you know in the old-fashioned pentecostal church when they pray the whole town knows it they pray like fire and bring stone and the holy spirit said go inside i was very frightened i said okay when inside the pastor everything was quiet down there praying looked at me young man seems like you are seeking god oh first line but i didn't know that it was the ending of the praying meeting he asked me come i want to talk to you he brought me up to the second floor oh man i was lost like alice in wonderland because they have a christian bookshop i went and i couldn't stop i couldn't even pay attention to oh looking everywhere looking everywhere he said young man i know you ever get a call from god and i want to give you a book the first book he gave me is called praying men and praying pulpit by em bounds it was one dollar fifty cents i told him sir i've got only a dollar i don't have the 50 cents he said that's okay this is my gift for you and i tell you every line i still got it every line i cry i cry written by a man called em bounds he after 18 years of praying on his knee he prayed he prayed he prayed and he wrote his book in his lifetime only two books were published and all the other books were unpublished he wrote the books on prayer on little pieces of paper and envelopes you know when you get envelopes behind and he bundled it up he walked from printer to publisher after publisher they said you will not be able to print these are not sellable the third book was written or printed after he died and then you know what they suddenly found he's a storehouse of prayer you see it is possible that god will use you after you die what you started will take off after you die that is why we should not get discouraged of the work that we are doing here if it doesn't take off while we are alive the spirit will come upon our sons and daughters but we shouldn't get discouraged if god can send someone all across the world and tell me where this town is god can find another guy from africa god can find another one all across alaska i'm getting shocked when from someone from iceland is writing an email to us i'm watching you from iceland i wanted to be cheeky and ask is it cold but i decided behave are you listening there will be a conviction of judgment before we pray together it's going to be nine i want to turn one important passage from zechariah chapter 4 and verse 14. the book of zechariah chapter 4 and verse 14. zechariah had a lot of visions then he said these are the two anointed ones who stand by the lord of the all of the whole earth these are the two anointed ones who stand by the lord of the whole earth now if you study in the hebrew or the amplified bible do we have amplified bible yes no whatever you are shaking i can't see it must be there yes yes ben put it out man okay i want to pay attention these are the two what these are the two words now don't worry about the next few lines you see when you are an anointed bunch of people we are supposed to be known as the sons of oil where we carry the power of the holy spirit we carry something about us will be different when people come we don't pretend to be anointed something about us will be different there is a conviction of sin there is a conviction of righteousness and there is a conviction of judgment and when the holy spirit is working upon us we will be people who are called the sons of all and you know what it means possessed with the holy spirit you know for a long time i think about 10 years ago i preached a message called being possessed by the holy spirit i receive an email do you know possession is of the devil i say who said sir because we have given the word possession means the devil and i preached a message called being possessed by the holy spirit you see when you're possessed by the devil you don't know what you're talking you don't know what you're doing your heart and mind is all somewhere else but imagine when you are so possessed by the holy spirit you know the book of acts chapter 4 the bible says all these men are different they saw peter james and john they were different why they were different the bible says in acts chapter 4 these had been with jesus they are soulfully possessed by the holy spirit they talk like him they pray like him the book of acts is so interesting if you take away two words out of that you're done take away the holy spirit you're gone take away prayer and you're done with that book there's nothing else to talk about the book of acts the word prayer alone more appears more than 20 over time and if we will just study the greek word of that word prayer you'll learn the textbook of knowledge how the word prayer changes itself each time in different circumstances you know what they did anytime they did not know what to do they prayed every time they know what to do they also pray and god came into the picture hallelujah think about that for a minute if we would become like that are you praying because you don't have money no we pray because we have money people think you pray a lot more when you don't have money that's not true man it becomes your breath of fresh air i was in school i was always marked around i'm just sharing my testimony don't do what i'm doing i'm just saying my testimony i was thinking how to make god into my life and pray all the time you know some christians are known as the mumbo-jumbo people whenever you're talking to them they do because they are praying they look more like robbers are willing to rob [Music] what are you doing praying the holy spirit why you look so strange oh real very serious you know so i thought god how can i pray when i keep my mouth shut and the lord jesus came and stood beside me and i walked into my house i couldn't believe he just came and stood and he told me write this down every silent thought of jesus is a prayer of your heart ah it was like a knife that i took and i scrapped it on my heart every silent thought of jesus is a prayer of your heart my brothers and sisters i think today we can take possessions of prayer we can ask god to teach us how to pray i want to encourage you how to pray i want to encourage you to read books on prayer if you have books on prayer go and read if you have a book on embankments some of the young people they may not enjoy embankments but i want to encourage you you want to have solid stuff go back to the old guy because every line you got to think what they are saying because it was saturated in the oil of prayer they didn't research on prayer they prayed before writing men who knew about god and that's the principle we must become prayer simply waits upon god to show up without which nothing happens amen can we all stand up together hey are you guys ready to pray okay we cannot be already hot with the engine or consumed with our own agenda and our own flesh but like what you have done in the book of acts we pray that you will do it again in these last days even in greater measure oh god that in every house in every home in every family in every community there will be a spark of of revival there will be a spark of revival where salvation will be preached and people will come together to break bread to pray to grow in the word of god bring us back to what truly matters oh lord and that is to love god with all of our hearts with all of our mind soul and strength and to love others more than we love ourselves father we pray father we pray we ask lord bring us back to what truly matters holy spirit lead us to the source of all things and that is jesus and there is jesus that we will not be seeking the hands of god but we will be seeking the face of god but we will not be seeking only for the blessings that comes from god but we will be seeking for the heart of god this is our prayer lord in jesus all those who are watching online may the love of jesus take hold of their hands right take hold of their hands right now god encourage them remove all the ideas give them a word of encouragement from heaven give them hope to press on not to give up on their healing not to give up on their challenges father to press on for a miracle we pray in the name of jesus that is life and more life and abundant life i see a person who's lying down on the bed with sickness stricken and the life is leaving you right now i pray in the name of jesus the resurrection power of jesus will
