father we thank you for the opportunity that we have today in the name of Jesus guide us lead us develop our hearts in you we thank you master caused us to get nearer and nearer to you than ever before we thank you in Jesus mighty name and everyone said amen you may be seated Wow how many are glad that you are praying and watching okay now prior mistakes did we finish on that yes so today how many how many prayer mistakes do you have 10 did you come to you write it down do you know 9 8 okay today I want to share with you about the greatest promises prayer promises of Jesus the promises that Jesus Christ made to us when he came to this world amen and I want you to have these promises and understand them and Wow what a blessing is going to be now this great promises prayer promises of Jesus are the promises that Jesus Christ made to all of us when he came to this earth so it was like he's going you know it's like supposing you get into a relationship with somebody and the person goes to America and the president promises I look when you call this number I'll be there when you call this number I'll be there when you need anything just send the text or send an email or a what's up and I'll be there to answer your prayers and to be a blessing to you amen so today we want to look at these prayer promises amen hallelujah now what are the promises that our beloved Jesus gave us when he was going to heaven to be with to be with the father if he said look I'm giving you these guarantees Wow is it fantastic so there are just a certain number of them I'm not going to tell you how many but they are not more than 10 number one the promise for prayers that are said in the name of Jesus he said you will be blessed if you answer if you if you pray in my name John 16 verse 23 and verse 24 John 16 verse 23 and for 24 the first promise that I want to start with today is John 16 verse 23 in that day you shall ask me nothing verily verily I say unto you whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name he will give it to you or he will give it you right many people don't understand the prayer promises that Jesus gave to his beloved church when he was going they think Jesus said anything you ask I will do anything you ask I will do anything you ask how do you know but it is not like that and I'm sure you've noticed that anything you ask it doesn't happen how many I realize that anything you ask it doesn't happen just like that is it not true so people don't realize the kind of promises that Jesus Christ made and that is why I want to take you through the promises of Jesus you can have three prayer promises 5 7 10 depend on the number that you always have time for isn't it right so the first promises is was that in that day you know when I when I go that day that comes when I'm gone from you you you will not ask me you not pray to me alright but whatsoever you ask the Father in my name he will give it to you amen this is perhaps the most important a very important prayer promise that when you call and you mention the name of Jesus God will listen especially to your prayers hallelujah and she says you say you will not ask me you not pray to me so when you are praying there's no need to pray to Jesus Christ you pray to the Father but you pray in the name of Jesus okay now there is something that is called name-dropping you have you had a wet name-dropping have you heard that before name-dropping is when people want to make you feel that what they are saying is important they mention somebody's name they don't mention they say oh and be sure sake also was their own wishes like I said this and a lot of people have used my name is within the check wish upset this vicious and official said and they always drop the name because they know that when you mention that name in that little world where the name is important it helps that issue to move faster so people love to drop names and mention names and what Jesus is telling us is that I always mention my name mention my name yeah last week I sent a doctor to somebody to go and do something and I - I thought when you get what you to the pastor the person I sent you I sent you to come and do what you are coming to do and and then the doctor said thank you for allowing me to use your name now I won't have any argument or discussion because the bishop said I should come and do this and that Wow so when you pray in the name of Jesus even the father his favorite you see is His only begotten Son of God you see there are people who believe that God has me a number of sons of some sons are people who believe that because in the Bible it is mentioned a number of times the sons of God yeah so there are people who believe that God has a number of sons so the Bible says when the sons of God came down to earth and solar the daughters of men were beautiful they invaded them and the sons of God are setting some creatures on another occasion job was being tempted and and the Bible tells us that Satan came along with the sons of God and he said where have you been I've been roaming around you see now what that God has a number of sons or only one son it's not really what I'm talking about what we do know is that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God John 3:16 what does he say John 3:16 doesn't love the world that He gave His only because in son to be begotten is just is different from just to be a son you get it you have been begotten what English word is there conceived the only conceived son of God so it didn't just say the only son only begotten Son of God so he is a very special you see there are more beings and entities than than we know about yeah in heaven because you you don't know I mean you see we our lives are so limited if you take in heaven bubbles that there are four living creatures you find out that there are creatures with a head of a leopard the body of a of another animal leopard bear different things with four heads ten legs eight arms so many strange creatures that you you don't know about the fact that you don't know about does not mean that if you are you you have for what nineteen was nineteen ninety is this very special person and best for in him was life and the life was the light of men and verse 5 it says and the light shining in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not and it goes on there was a man sent from God and his name was John the same came for a witness and it goes on but you can see that in the beginning was God the beginning was the word the Word was with God and the Word was God so Jesus is no artery is not an ordinary name to mention that is why none of you here should use Jesus Christ's name as a swear word or as an exclamation mark you see when somebody hits you like this you say AJ then when somebody hits you like I said Jesus how can Jesus be the same as RJ so when you are pregnant and say I pray in the name of I J then because it is something you swear with something you just casually mention that's what when you mention it really it will not work for you you know the story of the boy who cried wolf is that it he said he was playing in the house and who abide in the Lord I promise for answers to your prayers for those who abide in the Lord and I need you to open to John chapter 15 and we are going to read it from the King James Bible verse 4 abide in me and I in you as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine no more can ye except ye abide in me I am the vine and you are the branches he that abideth in me and I in him the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me you can do nothing if a man abide not in me he is cast forth as a branch and is withered and men gather them and cast them into the fire and there burn if you abide in me and my words abide in you you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you this is a promise there is a promise for those who are biding it it's not a blanket promise that anything you ask you will get it from verse 4 he started explaining what is abiding what is the meaning of a bite and it says abide in me and I in you abide means to stay you know look when James you see Jesus Christ is the main thing all these Paul Peter and all those they were explaining the foundation but no other foundation can be laid apart from that which is laid do you understand so the foundation we have is the foundation of Jesus crowd when James was preaching right he said look the prayer of a righteous man availeth much dr. pastor where the prayer of a righteous associated with Christ and constantly associated with the same group of Christians where the secondary school where the first year university where the second year medical school seven years in Christ is prayers are far more likely to be had if I've been abiding in Christ since 1978 I haven't been anywhere I haven't been anywhere since I found Christ but I'll go for his cash in for one prayers now verily verily I say unto you he that believeth on me the works that I do shall he do also and greater works than these shall he do and that will I do that the father may be glorified in the son if you shall ask anything in my name I we'll do it amen now if you notice you see that he's talking about greater works verse 12 very verily I say unto you he that believeth on me huh the works that I do shall he do also and greater works than these shall he do because I go unto my father and whatsoever you shall ask in my name that will I do that my father may be glorified in the son again you can see that Jesus is promising whatever you ask I will do it now listen all the whatever you ask was qualified none of them just was a raw anything you ask I mean why would somebody come and just promise anything to everybody huh think about it why would God just walked through anything asked I'll give you anything you ask I'll give you anything you ask I'll give you know but if you were to say to your bride will you marry me I want you to marry me and if you marry me you'll be blessed and whatever you ask me I will give it to you then you see that by accepting to marry me whatever you ask when you accept to marry me then you you can have it a lot all of you whatever you ask you are the new bridegroom right stand up whatever these girls ask you will you gift to them so this one this one this one this one this one this one this one anything that anybody ask what about this one this one you give her anything uh-huh whatsoever she ask you a gift where is in it exactly so it's not just everybody take everything that that's why people feel that God is God answering prayers let's mix it mix it look as if Jesus is Jesus life is as if he was lying yeah it's like he just in the context when you say sir if you abide in me and my words abide in you you should ask what you will it's not just if you if you ask what you will you get it those who are doing greater works what are the works of Jesus what are the works of Jesus preaching look at Matthew chapter chapter 9 you will see Jesus when I'm out in the cities invest penny for 35 36 he went around preaching teaching and healing these are the works of Jesus that is why a preacher's prayers if I'm preaching and I'm praying and I'm teaching and I missed my prayers are more powerful than your prayers based on the scripture I'm doing the works of Jesus pray look at and Jesus went about the cities and villages teaching in their synagogues preaching the gospel and healing every sickness and every disease among the people that's what Jesus was doing and he told us that works that I do not business Jesus was not selling files or selling pants Jesus was started trading Jesus was not doing politics he was this is what he was doing Matthew chapter 9 verse 35 and Jesus went about all cities and villages teaching India when I read it I get more encouraging that my prayers will be answered because I've been going around cities villages teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel and healing every sickness and every disease among the people these are the works of Jesus and one of the Saint John 14 verse 12 he said the work that I do he that believeth on me the works that he shall do and greater works than these shall he do because I'm good to my father and whatsoever you shall ask in my name that's what I do that the father may be glorified in the son it is connected to the greater works yeah that is why James summarized all these promises and said the effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth my dad is like a righteous man prayer is more powerful than an ordinary person that there are different levels of answers to prayers that's what I will go and see come on over pray for me lands on me your prayer means a lot to me one prayer from you maybe more than 1000 prayers from so many thousand different people yeah yeah read your Bible carefully tell you all about God is gonna answer my prayers I believe Wow how many wants to do greater works that's why at least your money should be in healing Jesus crusade because when I'm when I'm out there preaching it means you are out there preaching because I can never bow with my own money it's always with your money you are the one paying for the gospel the works of Jesus the works of Jesus are the works of Jesus you cannot change the works of Jesus and bring any other works amen are you listening to me how many promises do you have from Jesus today for let's turn to our feet what is the first promise that you have praying in the name of Jesus will do what praying in the name of Jesus will guarantee you an answer to your prayer amen what the second promise that Jesus made if you abide in him and his words abide in you if you're abiding in your prayers will be answered amen what the Ted promise if you are humble your prayers will be answered and one of the fourth promise if you do creator works your prayers will be answered whatever you ask in the name how many are going to do great works greater and greater works for Jesus Christ let your hand up and ask God for grace to become more prayerful and more spiritual than ever before in your life my God my God thank you thank you for greater works thank you for greater works thank you for greater works that are available for us to do what an opportunity what a blessing for us to do the great works of Jesus Christ guide us Oh Lord and let your wonderful will be done in our lives we thank you for these wonderful promises that you have given to us today in the name of Jesus Christ amen 10 - John chapter 15 have you found verse 16 everybody but the last promise I'm giving you before we close the promise for those who bear fruits that I promise that those who bear fruit their prayers will be answered if you bear fruit your prayers will be answered John chapter 15 verse 16 please everybody it says you have not chosen me but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should go forth and bring forth fruits that your fruit should remain and that's whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name he will give it to you once again it's got a blanket promise that all anything that you ask I will give it to you it is I have chosen you ordained you to send you to bear fruits that your fruit should abide and anything that you ask in my name I will give it to you read it for yourself and in fact after the way that your fruit should remain then s : : which means that whatsoever you shall ask of the father he may give it to you so what you are seeing here is a clear message God is showing greater works will will be a good background for you to pray bearing fruit will be a good background for you to pray abide it in Christ it's a good bugger gotta Jesus's promise that these other people whose prayers will be answered so I want you to bear fruit from don't just sit in the Kadesh and say we are the core - members no you must be the bustles you must be in outreach you must be in everything that we are do you must become solid panel and abiding bearing fruit greater works Christians some people have a conference every year called
