So I had originally backed this, but then pulled out due to my wife being unimpressed. What she didn't like about it was the same thing that so many people do like about it. So many ways to get bonus points that there doesn't seem to be much strategy in playing against someone else other than bumping people, you just sort of play your own game and hope you have more points then the others by the end. Watching Rahdo play it seemed to confirm her opinion and she's happy we didn't back it, where as I'm still in the opposite camp.
Is this really a game where there are so many bonuses and secret objectives that you can only play your own game and just compare points at the end?
damn, regretting not backing the kickstarter. any word on retail release?
What is going on with that mug? Is that a shark sticking out of the side of it?
Really looking forward to this one, been wanting to try one of Vitals games for awhile now but most have either looked too heavy or the theme wasn't so appealing for me. This still looks pretty heavy but the components are beautiful and the gameplay looks pretty amazing. I love all the little bonuses you get from seemingly almost everything, seems to be so many good choices on every turn!
Definitely makes me glad I backed the game. People loved to hate on EGG due to the drama but I just had to have the game (not that I haduch of an opinion on the situation given we only got the one side).

Oh man so glad this is out; not that I needed another reason to be excited for my copy to arrive!
I am filled with Kickstarter envy, that's for sure. I want to try Vital's games, and I have been considering CO2 but am still on the fence there (it looks slow, so maybe I'm missing something...). The Gallerist, however, just looks incredible. My wife and I would love it and play it all the time. Those components...
