hey guys mixer and today we are not working on the arm obviously because it is not here but we're gonna be working on the Hansa so I showed you guys the new honza a couple videos back this if you guys don't already I found in the garbage so it was free and obviously it is missing a lot of pieces the engine does turn over and have and it has pretty good compression so today we're gonna be trying to get it running so that'd be awesome if I could try and get this thing running and if you guys don't know already this is a 2003 Honda XR 70 so a name-brand pit bike in the garbage is crazy where you guys could find in the trash believe it or not but quick little update on the RM I know last video I said that I was probably gonna be taking out in the first Drive but still right here still running amazing I was gonna take it ride on the street but I kind of didn't want to ruin his brand new michelin tires out down the street so instead I may or may not not gonna be saying that I am but I'm most likely am gonna be going to the track with the RM for its first drive so that should be coming up very soon probably within the next two videos it should be the first drive on this at the track and keep in mind that's gonna be my first time on a two-stroke and if I'm and I've only been on a track one other time and that was on my 450 quad you guys can check that video a little bit farther back but this thing is holy but I did order for four cards for it so the fork seals or just a force in general don't get damaged at all from rocks or just anything like that so those things should be coming soon hopefully they get here before I go to the track we'll do a little startup for you guys fuels already on I'm gonna guess first kick and yesterday put on a hose clamps I finally got hose clamps on the exhausts so in no longer leaks out of there as you can see it was leaking oil at before when we first started up without the hose clamps on but now it's not leak I'm just gonna wipe that all off that's just old rather than that she is still mint let's get back to the XR 70 so we were missing when I first found it in the garbage I haven't wrenched on this thing at all this is exactly how I found it I haven't even taken up the spark plug took about the carburetor nothing at all obviously when I first got it I saw that was missing the coil so what I did is I ordered a new one and I've never really seen a coil like this usually it bolts up this is just like a Chinese I guess it was pretty cheap but it should do the job usually the coils I see her like that which doesn't even match the one that was in the box but they usually bolt on to the frame but this one I believe just plug straight just plug straight into the little wiring harness it has what I'm gonna do is hook that up there take out the spark plug test for spark that if we have spark I can I'm gonna take off the carb because I'm almost certain it's probably gonna need a carb clean and you can probably tell from the throttle like it gets stuck so it's probably a bunch of garbage in there I'm gonna check the oil try mock up a little fuel tank and then sorry we gotta focus there then we're gonna see if this thing will fire up it sounds it sounds pretty good and and the compression on is really really great I also need to tighten up this engine now that's completely off so the sting goes in rattle apart anyway let's get this thing on test for spark and try and get this thing running and driving so here's just the first look with the coil pretty self-explanatory I guess green wire goes to the green plug black and yellow goes to black so plug those in quick and then my guess is that it pokes up to this little mount right here that's my guess but I'm just gonna have a dangle for now just as we test for spark that Civic I found finds a matching boat to map this thing up so I am pretty curious on how how the spark plugs gonna look cuz obviously I you know since icon is in the trash I've no idea when the lasting this thing was ran but this thing looks like brand new honestly yes I was gonna see this thing looks like I've just changed by whoever had it last so that's good plug it in here granted it to the engine and then we'll see if we have spark all right here we go switch yep we got spark nice cool so we do have spark might have been hard to tell on camera just cuz how bright it is out but I was able to see it and you guys might have been able to hear it but that is awesome and now we know that the kill switch works cuz before I was trying to kick it over while I was off and there wasn't any spark turned it on and there was spark that's awesome so I'm gonna put that back in oh yeah get out of my pit bike okay so we're gonna put that back in I mean I could try and fire it up with the carburetor on but I feel like it would just be a waste of time because almost every little find that I have found always needs a carb clean so we're just not gonna waste any time by trying to start it up without cleaning the car so let's take it off of its little manifold take it off of the little airbox everything so widow on this open that puppy up and see what it looks like inside [Music] and there we go the car is off have the carburetor right here and this thing feels really really heavy like heavier than it should be so I feel like there's just like a lot a lot of junk in the flow cuz this thing is really really heavy actually you know like really heavy but you guys know what I mean so let's open up this flow pool and see what we got here we go first time pulling off the float I stand corrected this is uh not bad there isn't actually a lot of dirt and sediment in here and just evaporated fuel but it actually isn't that bad I guess this is a nice heavy quality OAM honda carburetor so it's probably nice good quality that's why it's barbecues so heavy it definitely does need a cleaning so take out the float and everything oh yeah that pivot arm whatever you want to call it it's pretty stuck in there they are closer look in the carb looks almost like sand inside but it looks maybe just really really old evaporated fuel that just stuck to everything though let's whip up the carb clean get this thing nice and fresh slap it back on the bike check the oil in it tighten up that engine mount and then see if the thing will fire up [Music] it is a good thing that we just went into this carburetor cuz it looks like that there is a missing part so if I just pull out the float it wasn't easy trying to get out the little pivot arm but as you guys could tell there is no little clip going around this little arm coming out for the the needle valve right now it looks like the needle valve is stuck in and I just tried shooting carb cleaner through where the fuel is supposed to come in and nothing was coming into the carburetor dang this is not easy to take off anyway that is that is a pretty big problem I can maybe try and make one so once I once I get off this dang stuff float we'll see what I can do I finally just get out the float the the needle was really really stuck in there and down in the hole it is super super corroded so I'm gonna try and clean that the best I can yeah it's just not good in there but upon further review it kind of looks like that this might be a kind of this needle went float set up my knife I use a little hook that goes around this top part on the local pictures right after I clean this all out some more because when it was in there besides on the top of the needle right there kind of go out and they catch the outside those that's who on the bottom lips the two sides of the float so it seems like maybe when it goes up it just catches those sides and when it needs to close it just hits this top little clip and then closes but I'm not completely sure so I'm just gonna double-check hey guys so I just got done looking at some pictures and cleaning this thing up some more and some of them had the little clip there and some of them didn't and I mean it looks like this thing doesn't even need it coz when the flow goes up you just sit in the needle goes up under those down leader goes down so we're gonna see how that works I think it should work fine I mean before the needle wasn't moving at all inside of there because it was just so corroded so I I used this little I can't say the neighbor and I just launched I mean I'd sprayed a ton of car clean down there and I just picked out some like heavy corrosion just like that and this thing seems to be moving pretty nicely in there and put this thing back together Dora on the bike and then carry on with trying to get this thing running and driving let's check the oil oh Jesus that is tight I finally got this thing off oh boy I'm gonna clean this off before I put this thing back on so I'm trying to see down there it's not the easiest and right now I see the bottom of the engine I don't see any oil so I'm gonna try and maybe lean the bike up and see if I see anything I have to buy cleaned over a lot not seeing that much oil oh just saw a little bit it's still really in a lot so what I'm gonna do is take off the drain bolt drain whatever's in there that just put in some oil to spec hook up a gas tank and then it's time just wise Machamer keep on focusing but the heck there we go and then see if this thing will fire up if we do that'll be so awesome and then in the sooner or later I will reveal to you guys my idea for what this pit bike is going to turn into I have never done anything like like what I want to do to this alright so I just cracked loose the drain bolt and we'll see if there's anything in here I'm hoping that there is because I'm hoping that whoever owns it last didn't run this thing dry and holding and I'm hoping that there'll be nothing wrong inside they did do that okay so there is oil and that's it oh god that's not good took the bike up all right a little bit more oils coming out it looks very very watery this thing could have sat outside for years but I mean there's there's nothing in it at all I mean stranding out a little bit more I'll just let that flow out just rip out whatever's left and I just filled up it's a nice fresh oil already I said I just got back from autozone and I just picked up the oil 10w 40 motorcycle oil that Valvoline stuff is pretty good because it it supports the clutch and everything for the semi automatic bikes so pour it in now quick try mock up the gas can tied up the engine mounts brings you the size of the funnel I'm using compared to the bike the font was like almost the same length as the bike so I just finished pouring in how much oil the engine calls for so I just gotta let it settle a little bit so now I'm just gonna tighten up these engine mount because as you can see it is loose and sometimes when I kick it over the engine moves so tighten it up real quick then I'll kind of hook up a fuel tank that I have on this old chopper frame I have a part just gonna rig it up for now see if it'll work and then we'll fire it up [Music] now the back of our engine should not rattle off the bike and I'm just I'm bolting the two the two screws holding on to this gas King I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need this to clean SAP because I did peek in there before and there were some particles down there soaked up hard just flush it out real quick and I'll see if I can even use these old lines try and make that work the engine that was in this frame was a two-stroke and they mixed oil and fuel together obviously and there's a bunch of just leftover oil left on the bottom of that so I got to try and clean that out all the way because we can't have oil going into that engine so I just sprayed a whole bunch of a carb cleaner down in the corner where all that leftover oil is I'm just shook around a bunch let that settle see if we could just take it out I did this a couple times and it is coming off a little by little so hopefully after it sits for a little it'll pull it all out from the bottom I could pour it all out and that'll be nice and clean but one thing I am gonna do while that gasket sitting is rip off this nasty sticky disgusting grip feels so disgusting to touch oh yeah didn't even fit right ooh that fit was nasty too I might have a crypt I might fit on this I have this old minibike Rifton I'm trying to get on but I don't think it's the same size as the dam as the diameter of the throttle tube so I might just put something on temporary just so I don't feel that nasty throttle grip okay so I got some pretty sad news our gas can that I cleaned out pretty nicely I can't get to work I mean this this rubber piece keeps falling out and these little tiny hoses that are on these two of them they won't fit onto the carb even if I try and stretch them so what I'm doing is I'm not giving up and before I show you guys this I was gonna order gas can but obviously I don't know if this thing runs so I wasn't gonna order parts for something that I don't know runs or not so this is why I'm doing this please forgive me so what I'm using is a nice empty water bottle nice and waterless and I'm using a fuel line that fits onto the carburetor with a hole I've gasket maker around it so no fuel leaks out of tiny little crevices from the hole I poke through the water bottle I'm gonna let this dry and see if it'll work and hopefully we still have daylight out because the Sun is starting to set hopefully this thing dries in time so we can at least try and see if this thing will start up today so while our guests bottle is drying I did find a screw that match the threads so the coil is all nicely mounted up now I won't drop on to the engine and if this thing runs won't get burnt or anything once the engine gets hot so that's good and I think I'm just gonna leave the throttle like this for now I did just rinse it all off so now it's not sticky or anything from that nasty thing so this should work just for now and what I am gonna try and do because I want to see this thing should drive if it does run because the transmission does feel really really solid in it like it shifts it shifts nice I'm gonna do is try and see if this air I'm gonna try and see if this tyre this poor little ripped up tire will hold air the back one does hold air it is just a little bit low but obviously there's no tread on this thing but who knows two could still miraculously be good on this because I'm not gonna ride around like this the rim will get bent let's see if this tire will air up about stem as you see very very loose I'm just gonna try and screw this on here see what happens I highly doubt it's gonna work but we'll just see all right here we go oh yeah I think it's actually working look at that yeah it happened that kind of sucks that the the tire won't blow up just even just a little bit just so we could ride it around just a little bit if it runs but I kind of figured that because I mean just look at it I'm gonna give you guys a little hint what my build idea for this consists on does involve changing the tires that might have just given it away for guys I don't know I might have just given her away who knows but I guess that we were gonna have to change them anyway so it's not a big deal did just set up the gas bottle with the zip ties very very sturdy I must say so we're gonna let that dry for a little bit longer I mean you're supposed to let it sit 24 hours for gasket maker to maker to dry I highly doubt that it's not gonna leak but if it doesn't leak at all then that would be pretty amazing I know that I should let it sit and dry but I'm just so antsy to see if this thing will run but I gotta be patient with it so we can get the right results so guys so it's been just a little bit longer and I just did a little test fill and I just took the gas can put it in through the cap and now I'm just checking for leaks cuz right now it's at the bottom where the gasket stuff is and keep them on the gasket stuff is on the outside there's no gasket maker on the inside and none of it should break away into the fuel and if I do see any particles at all I'm ripping this thing off so we don't get that stuff into the engine right now is looking pretty uh pretty good let's try and put some fuel above the hose and try and get some fuel going into our carburetor now we'll see if this thing will fire up I'm so excited all right that should definitely be enough man I think it's not leaking at all that is awesome so this thing isn't leaking at all with semi-wet gasket maker okay so fuel coming out of the overflow maybe I shoulda hit the car up a couple times so it doesn't really connect more so I think we are good to go and see if this thing will fire up for the first time and who knows how long alright guys so here we go first start up those switches arms I'm gonna give it a couple slow kicks just to get everything going again [Music] it is running right now and idling perfectly sound good really good I am really really impressed it started first kick or second kick I don't really even remember when the choke was off so that's that's awesome it sure does look like it was pretty hard at the end great so I heard that the the engines on these like XR 70s and everything are tanks so I'm pretty excited what I'm gonna try and do right now here she drives too I guess [Music] Oh stuck open for a sec no I actually died that's fine maybe just raise the dad which is a tiny bit more but she runs the throttle just does a stick at wide open I mean everything else that kind of comes back so it's probably the cable or maybe some dirt in there or something but it runs and it runs great I'll just do the test to make sure it starts back up I'm gonna get first kick just a bill that this thing is going to be with is going to be absolutely awesome so stay tuned for that stay tuned for taking the rm125 the newest finished build if you guys don't know already check out the last video of the final products a lot of guys seem to like it thanks a lot for all the support that you guys gave me there was there were so many comments of
