Gunjan lore is often hidden an NPC dialogue or in the nooks and crannies of the a Manama comm it's very rare that any sort of back story is told in a straightforward fashion which is why I decided to make more videos to put all the information in one place your consideration which is what makes the end of the gungeon comics so fascinating I hardly ever hear this DLC comic brought up despite it being the most concrete glimpse we have at the universe outside the gungeon some of its information is outdated or retcon but I still want to run through it with you so without further ado for comic begins with the hunting quest NPCs frightful and the gray mouths are locked up in a cage in the dungeon the convict finds them and asks them the one question you're never supposed to ask anyone in the gungeon so how come you guys are down here to which frightful launches into a flashback to the events leading up to them being trapped according to frightful an unspecified amount of time ago frightful and the gray Mouser were hired by a mysterious employer to steal an artifact known as the golden bird from a religious temple on a planet called dawn patchy Don Pesci appears to be very civilized boom flying cars and what looks like a suburban area inside of the temple rifle and Mauser attempt to steal a massive golden bird idol allowing the temple guards to their intrusion it's revealed during the ensuing fight that the huge Idol is merely decoration and that the actual golden bird is a living specimen stored in the cage nearby during this fight the bird escapes and flies through a crack in the temple wall created by the collapse of the huge Idol and is eaten rightfully blaming frightful and Mouser for the death of their bird guard the temple guards and Don Pesci civilians swarm an angry mob to chase frightful and Mouser through the streets hiding from the mob in an alleyway frightful and mouse considered their options the citizens of Don patchy want them dead and as frightful points out that client likely does as well Mouser says he knows a place where it can all be made right again and a week later they've arrived on Ganymede the enter the gungeon and the comic kind of devolves into a series of fight scenes where frightful and Mouser fight their way through waves of gun dead obtaining different weapons from the game and clipping about the weird nature of the gungeon such as how all the barrels are all empty eventually the two come across their first boss and weirdly enough it's love a holster yeah but some reason they end up fighting the B holster in the first chamber but fortunately for them they do end up killing it frightful and Nas it go down a chamber and fight through waves of more gun dared to reach their second boss the Gatling gun somehow despite already having bested the B holster the Gatling gulp proves too much for them causing them to flee for their lives through a hole that the gulls blow to the wall they trudged the corridors looking for a place they can rest in plan and eventually end up in a side room once they're both inside the side room the bars slam down trapping them inside that's where they remain until the convict came along at the beginning of the comic with the flesh back ended the convict revealed that she had no intention of freeing fry Flynn Mauser since their competition for finding the gun that can kill the past and so she goes on her way leaving frightful and Mouser to hopefully be freed by whatever Lo and some adventurer should come by next and that's where the comic ends and this segment were gonna go through a collection of notes that I just created around what happens in the comic different things I noticed the pages at the beginning and end of the comic contained the game's loading screen from the pre-alpha featuring an adventure with a gun and torch and the tech to button mash to continue the convict has heard of frightful and Mouser and claims that those who tell their story tell it with many variations which is why she wants to hear it straight from them apparently frightful and mouths are well known fugitives in the universe of guns something absolutely fascinating to note which you may have noticed is that the client who employs frightful and Mouser to steal the golden bird appears to be a killer fit now most Killa thid have green skin however the most notable member of the Killa third race we've encountered in the game the mind flare has blue skin the same as the client in the comic all in all the killer third we see in the comic is much closer to the mine fire than the dime a dozen enemy variants we see around the mines this either means that killeth that have emerged from the dimension and locations outside of the gungeon which would allow him to be there or it's a complete coincidence that just another race that looks extremely like killer Third's exists in the gungeon universe anyways moving on from that planet dawn pepsi as i don't want to add to the list of planets we now know of that exist in the universe Gunjan civilised and suburban like I said before the temple guards on Don Pesci appear to wield what is some sort of Glee mixed with a rocket-propelled grenade launcher the population of Don Pat she appears entirely human as opposed to the extremely varied patchwork of alien races we see in the gungeon we can look at what frightful and mousers ship looks like it's rubbish looking but it seems like it works the first chamber the two enters appears less like the keep of the lead Lord and more at the underground passage from the pre-alpha of the game and I've already gone over how the bow holster as the first boss they encounter the weapons from the game that the two end up using of a yari launcher which they obtained from a blue chest apparently the fight saber the compressed air tank the Phoenix the prototype railgun and the Emperor though the Emperor seems to function a bit differently shooting only lightning they use a couple of weapons that aren't in the game such as the cut flame throw a gun and this weird purple doodad that I can't quite identify in one of the rooms in the gungeon in the comic in the background you can see paintings of what appear to be the bow holster and a BA bomb or a bomb kin using gun Genest turns the elevators apparently of elevator buttons in them and don't just function automatically like they do in the game as I've already pointed out they get the Gatling gun as the boss of their second chamber something that can't happen in the game other than all that the last thing I want to notice how the comics final pages are devoted to a bunch of unused scenes and character sketches from the comic so yeah that's been my overview of the end of the gungeon dlc comic hope you enjoyed it it's with something I wanted to cover for a while so I hope it's intrigued you as much as I didn't read me the main reason why I want to talk about this stuff is because a few videos I plan on doing in the future will rely abed on information from this video so it'll be good to have it out there so anyways see ya
