don't know hunter killer [Music] hey you and welcome my name is mike and in this whole video how about we take a trip virtually that is to virginia sound good yeah you know we got that blue ridge met and so oh wait no that's that's the other one moving on 2013 is the year when alexis murphy took a trip to lynchburg we're gonna follow that story and also take a look at the wider uh weirdness as to you know what's been going on to the most recent discoveries so yeah do that let's it's the town of shipman virginia that we're jetting off to actually it doesn't even seem to be much of a town just kind of a place really not much to say about that though i guess all i really gotta say is that alexis murphy lived there alexis was born in 1996 raised in shipment and that's the last time i'm mentioning shipman she was a senior at nelson county high school a star player on the volleyball team and was planning on heading from there to college but her real passion was vine remember mine my jacket never wants to go right still ain't right the [ __ ] she was popular enough on it fair few followers and like most 17 year olds loved goofing around it was in early august that our story begins a hot day a couple weeks before another you know school term would begin on august 3rd 2013 alexis borrowed her dad's car and it was uh well according to her twitter berg bound she left her home at about 7pm she was heading to lynchburg to get her hair done now lynchburg is about a 40 minute drive away she left at seven but she never uh made it there that day you see it was a saturday and alexis had a midnight curfew that she um well obviously didn't you know make it home for and then the next day on the sunday morning with her parents you know they reported her missing once her parents reported it to the police you know the search the search began and they were looking at um well anywhere and everywhere between lynchburg and shipman damn i mentioned it again it's like my heart just been ripped out my heart ripped out someone called me i'm like i hope that's her i mean i look at my phone hoping it's her even the days when she gone missing i just kept calling her cell phone it was on the sixth of august three days after she was last seen that her car well her dad's car she was borrowing it that was found it was discovered in a cinema parking lot in charlottesville virginia completely mind you the opposite direction from lynchburg the vehicle however left no clues no signs as to what could have happened or where she could have went but maybe they might uh you know uncover some see not fair was a cctv camera and it was eyeballing you know the the parking lot happy days right uh no see the camera captured the car pulling in right but it was impossible to figure out who was the one driving and then getting out they tried the ul enhance in hands but it turns out that doesn't work outside of movies which is some bollocks next up you know with absolutely no clues and the vehicle left no clues the investigators decided to snoop around some of the places she usually hung out frequented maybe she had stopped off somewhere chilled out for a bit one place was a gas station only a couple of minutes from her home a liberty gas station in lovingston and bingo there was footage of her entering paying for petrol and heading off after that nothing it's been six days since alexis murphy disappeared from a gas station near charlottesville the 17 year old's car has since been found but no sign of a lexus now time is of the essence and the fbi is hoping surveillance pictures will help speed up the search so the footage was like the main thing you know other than you know the car that was found to go on but one thing like popped out in that footage the guy holding the door for her now as you can see nothing happened doesn't look like they were yapping away chatting just a guy holding a door for a girl every day you know mannerly thing to do but you know there was something just you know off about that guy he was distinctive or rather he had a distinctive tattoo on his neck which really stood out he was also driving a chevy suburban so they jotted that down too by this stage you know after alexis has been missing for a good few days the fbi became involved and they started tracking down you know where her phone was her phone was was pinging away right and as a 17 year old teenager it's not like she would just you know leave it willingly and following the signal it led to roughly a mile north of livingston and now it seems like it you know she didn't get far from home at all they traced it to an abandoned piece of property a run-down shack on route 29 the other side of livingston so the phone was there and on that piece of land right there was a camper van no prizes for who lived in it his name was randy taylor and he denied any knowledge of who the heck alexis murphy was the detectives you know popped inside ah grant you know started yapping away with him what's the crack and then they noticed a couple of things inside inside was a [ __ ] by the way they saw what looked like a diamond stud maybe from a nose or ear piercing and a long black hair like perhaps from an african-american woman they did the oh you know lab tests and they belonged to alexis so now the evidence was beginning to mount and they went back to the cashier and the cctv from that gas station and they saw alexis follow randy's truck so then the police went back and they were like all right randy okay you gave us you know version one of this story where you would you don't know who alexis brooke is how about you uh you you give us another version you know give us your second draft of what happened that day and he said yeah sure actually forgot you know i do know who she is and she [ __ ] you know we were yapping away in the gas station she came back to my place we had a few beers smoked a bit of the devil's lettuce and then she headed off sorry that's all i know and there was another guy there too a quote black guy with dreadlocks and she left with him so you should probably find out who he is i have a name for you too by the way so that guy's name was damien bradley the police spoke with him he never met alexis before in fact that weekend august 3rd he was in he was hundreds of miles away in alabama what is that and that was confirmed so randy taylor's just boop pulling names out of his ass they searched randy's place again and this time they found a t-shirt one of randy's in fact the one he was wearing in the cctv and it had alex's blood on it the t-shirt was hidden under his couch not only that rolled up inside the t-shirt were hair extensions so when you uh you know combine it all it's not looking good for randy and you know when you laugh like here does he look like the kind of person who could do something horrible kinda now get a load of this right because this is oh boy when they searched his campervan they found in it a scrapbook right in the scrapbook were cut out pictures of naked women okay the faces were cut off from the pictures like with scissors inserted was another person's face it was the face of his co-worker's daughter so what more do you want like that's something wrong with you itis 101 randy taylor was arrested on abduction charges they still had no clues as to where the probable body of alexis could be as the search for alexis continued randy's charges would be upgraded to murder the return of indictments only means that the grand jury found probable cause exists for the charges that i mentioned and that randy taylor should go on trial for those charges he likely lured her by saying he would sell her some weed then something violent happened in his trailer and it had been sexual in nature ratty had also been to a porno store earlier on the third of august so that led them to that he pled not guilty investigators were back at randy taylor's home today they're looking for clues into the abduction of virginia teenager alexis murphy taylor's in jail accused in her disappearance but murphy's still missing hers is the latest in a string of disappearances off route 29 in virginia as for that region the number of disappearances are just astonishing as one person familiar with the investigation told me between documented abductions and missing persons who may or may not be runaways there may be as many as 18 unsolved disappearances in that region over the past two decades the trial would go ahead in may 2014. it would last about a week and on may 8th randy was found guilty of the murder of alexis murphy but i'm not that i've ever won the lottery but it was pretty amazing um just felt like justice served in you know wherever alexis is she can be at peace now randy taylor was just sentenced to two life sentences for the murder and abduction of the virginia teenager murphy was last seen in august of 2013 no i did not kill lexington herbie or hurt alexis murphy do you know where she is no sir i do not and do you know what happened to her no sir i do not from the albemarle charlottesville regional jail convicted killer randy taylor maintains his innocence relating to the abduction and murder of alexis murphy there's just too many things that haven't been told for me to be convicted of murder of alexis murphy you can ask anybody that knows me anybody in this jail or anybody around here i'm not an outspoken person i'm not a violent person i haven't been mean to nobody or disrespectful to anybody in here it's what the commonwealth's painted the story of me to be and and i'm not that person then something happened word began to spread of a possible serial killer in the area the disappearance of alexis murphy it had some you know yeah maybe some similarities to the disappearances of hannah graham and morgan harrington missing 18-year-old hannah graham a poster much like the one we just saw a year ago for missing 17-year-old alexis murphy it's it's really undescribable there aren't words have not yet been written or found to describe what it's like to wake up every morning and go to bed every night wondering where somebody that you love is and not having a clue alexis's aunt trina murphy says it was an instant sinking feeling in her stomach when she heard just 30 miles from where her niece disappeared last august another teenage girl is now missing i know exactly where her family is right now now these are cases i talked about before they were two young women not much older than alexis both disappeared in charlottesville where alexis's car was found morgan harrington in 2009 hannah graham in 2014. so four years before alexis and one year after they both disappeared and were later found murdered the man responsible was a guy named jesse matthew so jesse matthew was found to be responsible for two similar cases in you know roughly the same area around roughly the same time and it's theorized that he's responsible for a shitload more and remember randy said with them that day was a black guy with dreadlocks just like jessie sheriffs in nelson county say they have a new person of interest in the disappearance of 17-year-old alexis murphy now randy taylor is already in jail he's charged with her abduction taylor told his attorney that he met alexis that night and put her in touch with another man so they could buy marijuana while the man investigators are questioning fits his description dna tests are now underway to determine whether the disappearance of three different women in the charlottesville area could all be linked to jesse matthew jr the detectives were [ __ ] it now and randy you know he was still saying he had nothing to do with it there's still no justice there's still no closure until alexis is found to return to her family and i'm free of these charges there's no closure here investigators say there's no link between missing nelson county teen alexis murphy and jesse matthew junior until a dna test on jesse ruled him out his dna was found nowhere in that camper so so then right once randy knew he was kind of screwed now he was like all right okay you got me you got me you know maybe i had something to do with it right but you know he got two life sentences when he was convicted for her murder and he was like all right you reduce it down to 20 years and guess what i'll tell you where she is there was also a turd guy involved i'll tell you who he is too you know what say you to a parlay they said no beauty and flames no one had time for his [ __ ] and uh there's a little more to randy than i think maybe anybody first uh first thought of he's been linked to another disappearance the disappearance of samantha clarke samantha clarke was a 19 year old who vanished in september 2010. she just upped and left from her family home in orange virginia in the middle of the night not telling anyone where she was going samantha ann clark is still missing we just pray she comes home she was reported missing two days later but there have never been any links as to what happened or where she could have gone [Music] and how this you know links to randy is that a week before she disappeared she met you know new group of pals one of which was randy authorities have you know they haven't said how they know this but they say they are certain he's the last person um she talked to before she just vanished and samantha's mother who's still searching for her would say randy called the clark household six times that day the day she disappeared [Music] but for years that was that randy behind bars him saying still saying he was innocent and he would appeal twice both denied the search for alexis and also samantha would continue up until recently like really recently when one of these searches would stop which means the world to us and please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and so thank you all for being here to spread spread the news that alexis is being brought home authorities have found and identified the body of alexis murphy she is the teen who disappeared in nelson county more than seven years ago massive search effort never officially stopped in a statement murphy's family said quote our family is so grateful for the continuing love support and prayers for alexis and our family over the past seven years we were blessed to have her for 17 years and her memory will continue to live on through us all the remains of 17 year old alexis murphy were discovered in lovingston they never thought she left in december 2020 she was found five miles from that gas station not much about that has been released you know cause death or anything like that um though at least you know she's finally been found which is closure for the family samantha no no no sign of her yet but it was recently announced that that case was changed from a missing persons case to an abduction and homicide one due to new information and advances in investigative and forensic technology samantha's missing person investigation has been reclassified as an active abduction and murder investigation they didn't say you know what led them to that but they might be getting they must be getting close right more than likely gonna give randy a couple more uh life terms behind bars you know he's on two already so if he gets Watching case as I type this, damn Randy mite be telling the truth, I was feeling bad for judging him, never mind, he’s a pos. They got the right guy, such beautiful young women, lives stolen and used, prayers to their families, when me n my g/fs were in highschool, we would meet guys like that, NEVER DID I THINK ANYONE WOULD HURT US, obviously I was very stupid and naive, life can be so crazy,

Just watched. First person I thought of when he said “black guy with dreads” was in fact the dude that showed up later in the episode. Due to being set in Virginia. Shitty story, beautifully told. Cheers, Mike!
