You know, while it does suck Jackie and Fez are thriving (career wise?). It kinda focuses on them and I think it’s awesome in that aspect. I just think they could’ve written it out so that the entire season wasn’t trash lol

[Music] no these videos are not for children if you are a children then piss off [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey there Ness I jwv nephew so intelligent segue that 70 show was one of my favorite shows growing up granted I didn't always get some of the references and I'm sure you know the ones I'm talking about let's just say it was years later before it all came full circle I mean those just aren't references I'd expect to see on a show that aired on Nick at Nite my point being the show always provided me with laughs even when I wasn't a hundred percent sure at what I was laughing at I can honestly say looking back that when I was a kid I understood next to none of the time period jokes and yet I still enjoyed the show that's because while the show would reference things from its time it wasn't entirely dependent on it as the name would probably have you believe it's like Star Wars yes it's set in space there are stars but that's not really the main focus it's the force and losing hands apparently I may not have got the references but I did understand the characters and I was intrigued with them despite to my adolescent mind anything made from were set in that time period was ancient and completely unrelated all the cast really won me over whether it was Kelso shouting burn [Applause] or hides conspiracy theories about a car that can run on water but there's this guy who invented this car that runs on water man it's got the fiberglass air-cooled engine and it runs on water government has a car that runs on water man there's this car that runs on water or just read threatening to where his son and his friends as socks Thank You Tube for the following edits takes a keen eye and a sure foot how would you like your keen eye to watch my sure foot but just a classic case of hand stuck in vase well get it off or you'll have a plastic case of foot stuck your foot if I had missile foot it would be in your sleep tight and don't let the bedbugs put their foot in your dog I love this show and still it's got to be at the high end of my top 10 in more ways than one however that 70 show season 8 is the worst season of any show ever the worst in the world terrible before you tried to educate me in the comment section I just want to let you know I didn't watch a single episode of Game of Thrones and by time the ninth season of Roseanne came out I had long since stopped watching oh and I haven't even seen The Sopranos so with that being said for me that 70 shows last season is the worst season of any show I've ever had the misfortune to sit and watch this sucks yet I forced myself to do it on multiple occasions I don't know probably because I hate myself it's almost like the writers of the show got together and discussed what it was that made the show work for the last seven seasons and then thought oh you know the hell with that I'm never before have I seen a show that was so beloved and so highly anticipated just go to [ __ ] so quick in the span of one season they took everything great about the show and completely soiled in all honesty has there been worse seasons of other shows I mean sure yeah yes but those other shows were already bad to begin with shittier shows have had shitty er seasons but for all the good will the last seven seasons had built up with the audience seven whole seasons was completely obliterated in the course of just 22 episodes and what makes it even worse is that there was no coming back from this this was that 70 show's final season now I could go on all day talking about how awful the season 2 shows last season sorry to keep emphasizing was but maybe I should instead talk about some of the things that made this season so bad everything some of these critiques or you know more accurately France are gonna be a little nitpicky but just like the eighth season I assure you it's just gonna get worse as it goes on because the truth of the matter is there are a lot of contributing factors to what made season 8 suck and it's not just like one or two things it's like one or two hundred so let's start off light I want to point out that that 70 show season 7 wasn't exactly stellar but it was at least passable and it actually seemed like it was still a part of the same series where the last season here is more like the Harry Potter sequel play it shouldn't be canon and nobody cares it's previously stated I love that 70 show but even I could admit that it's seven seas it wasn't full of the series best moments the show was obviously hitting a decline season 7 could only be considered at best filler or at worst the nudge that sent the series downhill to its own demise on the bright side there were some positives like Hyde meeting his real father getting a job at his record store where he feuded with and eventually befriended his sister which I thought was an interesting development for the character Leo finally comes back to the series following Tommy Chong's two-year prison stay and he's just as great as always on the other hand Eric taking a year off of work and doing next to nothing all season long wasn't exactly the best setup for stories Bob being in a love triangle that lasted an episode before he ultimately chose to get back with his ex-wife midge only for them to break up just a few episodes later anyway Celso becoming both a cop and a father which are two things that still to this day kind of or scary to say Jackie hitting hide with an ultimatum for marriage only to seemingly get back with Kelso this just wasn't the show that it once was so for the most part season 7 didn't really do season 8 any favors changes aesthetically the show changed a lot by this point laura Prepon by the way if I get any actors names wrong just know I'm sorry but I also do not care the actors who play Donna was no longer a redhead due to landing the title role in a movie called Carla in which her character was a blonde not that it didn't work for Laura but it was a strange change for Donna even if we had a season to get used to it guess what I'm not used to it I'm an old man who doesn't like change case dismissed even stranger of a change was the decision to give hide the mustache of a predator accidental foreshadowing Francis Ford Coppola I'm sorry there is one man who can get away with that mustache and his name is Nick Offerman it's just who was that for like who made that decision who let them make that decision Fez also gets a little bit Saturday Night Fever II looking in this season brushing his hair back which apparently was all he needed to do to make women find him attractive I guess it's like the male equivalent of the whole hot chick in glasses in ponytail gimmick you know the one where the the alleged unattractive girl suddenly takes her glasses off and undoes her hair and then people are watering from the mouth all of a sudden that's fezzes art for this season apparently he lived life as Clark Kent but now that he's gelled his hair he soared hi Superman Kelso also cuts off his Farrah Fawcett locks which again fine for Ashton Kutcher but I don't know just weird for Michael Kelso for some reason I get that Ashton was doing other things at the time but you could have hooked the guy up with a wig or saw one of the biggest changes was to Kitty Foreman who's classic cut changes midseason in what could only best be described as a Michael Jackson Pepsi commercial strip tease yeah can he watch the candle oh my god your hair's on fire this happened because her actress Debra Jo rough talk I'm gonna get so much in the comment section had been asking for such my stylist said there wasn't enough left up there to salvage my old hairdo wow the new season also leads to a lot of its characters acting completely out of character like who would have ever thought that they'd see Bob curse out red that's just clearly not in the man's oblivious happy-go-lucky nature or who thought hide in the second-to-last episode would have a complete meltdown from a bad trip I mean I guess that's fine for a filler episode and maybe earlier on like seasons ago but for the second to last episode in this series it kind of expects something a little bit more concrete you'd also probably expect Hyde to build up a tolerance at this point even the seasons transition shots are somehow lacking I even know how you managed to mess those up there just shots that leave from one scene to the next and even they somehow look like they're half-assing it the opening credits also change as for the past seven seasons it was actually the cast lip-syncing theme in Foreman's car and now it's everyone sitting in the circle in Foreman's basement so many changes in such a short amount of time makes the season feel like it was written by entirely different people probably because it was but it makes it seem like people who had never seen that 70 show which of course it wasn't it was written by people who never liked that 70 show it's like when Disney rebooted Doug and gave a whole bunch of new strange changes it's a completely different product hot Fez I want to show a hands right now in my comment section who wanted to see Fez become Kelso it's such a terrible change not necessarily because of the change itself but how quickly that change comes let me use an example to illustrate one of my all-time favorite character arcs is Wesley an angel when he first appears in the show and also during his time in Buffy he's a complete loser he's a goof the comedic relief of the team and by time that show ends Wesley is a total badass and a miserable alcoholic the character is completely night and day from where he started to where he ended up and it's great so a character can do a 180 and change completely but you know the difference between Wesley and Fez besides everything Wesley's Ark took course in five seasons of a show continually evolving the character fezzes happened overnight he goes from being completely repulsive to women for seven seasons long only to randomly become irresistible to that this was Fez as jumping of the shark it was such a random in big change that was never really justified and personally I don't think it ever could be it happens halfway through the season and it's just kind of glossed over Soha Fez after me along with his unbearable awkwardness his accent has also left the building the whole season it just seems entirely inconsistent could I have a body thief let's review I want to be the hotel dog okay so I am sorry yo girl forgets me actually in the pants I know it is for beating the booty till 18 I know why don't you ask Hyde he's ready now there's nothing left for us to do but there's more Candyland I mean I mean play candy smoke your beer house chips I hate being the guy gasps oh it's so good to see you oh crap it was dark which makes sense as fezzes actor Wilmer Valderrama has even said that his time went on he kind of forgot how to do the accent now good day ruining Jackie the last season really didn't do any justice whatsoever to Jackie and that isn't by accident either as that 70 show new showrunners admitted to hating her character and her relationship with Hyde which is unfortunate Jackie and Hyde were written pretty well they started off as two people who couldn't stand each other but were compelled to hang out by being in the same circle of friends for the first four seasons of the show Jackie and Kelso were on-again off-again usually due to cheating him on her than her on him it was just it was a whole thing but still that was a four season long relationship and it was thought that those two were forced to keep coming together and splitting apart until the end of time let like some kind of relationship purgatory what's that called again I a marriage except when marriage did come up Kelso literally up and left for California with Kelso gone Jackie wound up secretly settling down with hide which was her and Kelso's polar opposite and and also obviously Kelso's best friend usually fans weren't fans of the pairing but after seeing the two play off each other romantically they began to enjoy the couple and liked them a lot better together than her and Kelso throughout the last three seasons of the show the two learned from each other and evolved as people they'd been through a lot as a couple and most people just wanted to see the two make it down the aisle but when the idea of marriage came up she almost left with Kelso again in the last episode before season 8 Hyde and Jackie kinda break up right as Hyde was about to ask Jackie to marry him when he finally finds her he finds that she and Kelso were about to do it obviously this doesn't go over well and the two break up in the first episode of the next season it almost looks like they're about to reunite when it's revealed that hi drunkenly married a stripper named Samantha all right definitely seems like it was worth breaking up the only couple outside Kitty and red that was left on the show that seems like smart choice good call what's especially strange is following this point they're three season long relationship is just kind of forgotten about characters eventually stop mentioning and stop acting like it was even ever a thing it's almost like the new show runners hit the reset button on Hyde and Jackie because they seemingly backtrack back to season 1 which is a complete d evolution of both characters she then randomly has feelings for new ladies man Fez and it's just it's just awful and under it but awful nothing about the two together really feels all that natural the Jackie Fez relationship doesn't just feel rushed it feels forced it feels like a last minute in addition to not just the show but to the seasoning of itself Jackie doesn't wind up having feelings for Fez into late into the last season we're talking about five or six episodes away from the finale and if that's not strange enough when Jackie finally makes a move on Fez he turns her down andthat's Fez who's pined for her for years kissed her while she dated Kelso flirted with her when she was with hide and just a few episodes ago in this very same season said some of the following statements I'm gonna do what every woman does when they hit rock bottom you're going to have sex with me I mean doesn't work out between you and Carrie to loosen you up for me well I guess you have Kelso to fall back on or Fez a Jackie not going to do it that Fez turned down Jackie even Danny Masterson wasn't a fan of this creative decision and thought her and height should have ended up together honestly I would have even sell for Cal so just anything makes more sense than what they did the writers didn't like Jackie and Hyde yet they put together Jackie and Fez and thought that was a good decision I don't think I can make any commentary on that that just kind of speaks for itself this also means Jackie has dated every guy in the group except Erik Randy doesn't count we'll get to him it's so weird to see a show have established not one but two really well put together relationships only to see the character end things off in a new one that just didn't work cuz there is no one better from even you it's a lot the couple had no romantic chemistry whatsoever the weirdest thing about the season maybe that in 22 episodes Jacky goes from hides longtime girlfriend to potentially getting back with Kelso to somehow ending up with Fez the writers issues with Jackie basically demolished hide Kelso Fez and of course Jackie's character arcs so again good decision all around I have kids Jacqueline Burkhardt so has everyone else so as you may have imagined from everything I've said thus far I'm not a very big fan of this season of the show but I will at least try to give credit where credit's due in the interest of attempting to be fair there's a lot more screen time devoted to the Foreman's despite their son being m.i.a his parents feel more integral to the show than in previous seasons and they're still just as Grey's always hides interactions with his father are always enjoyable so when he does show up in the season it's Pleasant the Fenton Fez feud continues and that's not really bad I guess Leo still around and still Leo and he's actually billed as being part of the main cast but ultimately all these things have been established in previous seasons it's hard for me to pat this one on the back just for not destroying already tried and tested elements of the series so as far as the new things this season has to offer there's an episode where it's revealed that before becoming Tommy Chong Leo was actually a veteran and while that's clearly a red con I kind of enjoyed this episode it's an unexpected turn of events and I think it kind of gives him a little bit more depth I'm not saying it's it's making any top-ten list but you know it's not making the bottom 10 either I like that all the episodes were named after Queen tracks that's good and timely it was somewhat entertaining watching Jackie at work it wasn't wasn't terrible I mean the cameos were good Justin Long makes a guest appearance in an episode is a friend from fezzes country which I would actually say is probably a highlight from the season Bruce Willis pops up for an episode and he's surprisingly funny so I guess that means he came to said given it the brothers from The Brady Bunch appear as a gay couple the first episode also gives us Kitty's first experience with catnip which I personally wouldn't give up for the world but those are all really minor in this grand scheme of awfulness this season definitely has some memorable moments but they're remembered for for being horrendously bad there's a couple other positives this season has to offer but down the line they sour and turn negative like for example Hyde's wife I will for the life of me never ever ever understand the thought process of making this storyline this random woman comes into the fold after Hyde gets drunk and marries her in Chicago that must have been some wedding it's not too often that you see the bride jump out of her own cake that story beat destroys any chances of Hyde and Jackie getting back together I just want to let you know that we're through if you're gonna go off and marry someone you don't even know then we can't be together anymore which I've already mentioned was a mistake but here's the thing heids wife samantha is actually well-written she initially seems like a pleasant addition to the show and in the following episodes after her initial appearance we got to see her and Hyde begin to find that they had more in common and were actually a pretty good match Rani isn't my wife Samantha wife no you're married you'll figure out what to do honey you have great instincts you have a great butt too but that's a whole other thing do you know what you were doing just now well what telling your wife about your day pretty cool huh didn't suck we got to throw you a killer bachelor party no absolutely none for one to spend money in a stripper I'll take Samantha shopping what's the thrill being married to a stripper is gone you just left with the wife who's always got changed for a five but also probably a pretty horrible one too this conversation is over you know I hate it when you read the paper while I'm sitting right here next to you yeah that's why I'm doing it honeybunch it was almost at this point forgivable that they'd broken up I'd in Jackie because it cleared the path for these two to be an item unlike Jackie's love connection with Fez these two did have some chemistry and their relationship was built up and played upon going forward you two barely know each other hide if you don't want me here I'll pack up my things and leave tonight no it's cool I mean yeah they were dysfunctional but hey so were the Bundy's and Bill Byrd's family apparently it seemed at first that Samantha was sticking around they established her in her dynamic with other characters how could you invite the stripper here this is supposed to be girls night knock girls girls night nothing I ate you that's so lucky because I hate you too but it seemed like after she served her initial purpose of breaking up hidin Jackie she was sent off to the Shadow Realm or well considering that this was the seventies the tie-dye realm after eight episodes in it was revealed that their marriage was actually a sham as Samantha was still married so when you and I got married you already married to another guy sardath she and I parted ways as she went back to stay with her husband in Vegas why that was eight episodes you dedicated to this romance that you sacrificed another long-term romance for and you don't even go all the way with it she didn't even make it to the season finale Oh what kind of [ __ ] is this men hide wife like most of season 8 was nothing more than filler and a complete waste of time she didn't have to be but she was the writing was a little lazy too and it led to some continuity problems throughout the episodes some of these are really minor and you can understand because those types of things happen in these types of shows I mean the cast of friends had three sets of birthdays when I went blonde Eric went nuts and then there's what nuts I like my women like I like my wine red and full of alcohol you can I see your wife oh this is Randy Randy this is my wife Samantha wife you know you're married bye-bye Andy Gibb it's good-looking guys yeah we're just like you except for much better look it's not a bad idea Andy Gibb but then there's others that are just really really questionable in the last episode of the season Jackie and Fez find it hard to kiss each other until Fez attempts and fails at a romantic gesture on top of the water tower it's there that they share their first kiss as a couple and it's clearly supposed to be a big deal except they've kissed several times on the show before and out of all the times not one but two of them were this very season that does not make missing characters this season also had a lot of characters go mi a the obvious being Eric and Kelso but we'll get to them in a minute in addition to the two leads there were also some other characters that seemed to be missing from the show's final season Donna's mom midge was a pretty important role in seasons 1 through 3 but would leave the show for a couple years before coming back and getting back with Bob in season 6 sticking around for a few episodes in season 7 and then completely disappearing but who knows maybe you spend the time with their other two daughters the series completely forgot existed speaking of missing sisters has anyone seen Laurie Laurie was played by Lisa Robin Kelly for the first five seasons of the show before being recast as Christina more in season six and then the character would never really return again these characters don't exactly make or break the show but their absence is somewhat noticeable oh no I just felt like including the basement this might seem like a small complaint but it's one that always kind of bugged me kid Ian red continued to allow all of their sons closest friends to come over hang out in their basement while their son was off in Africa why why would they do that I mean they weren't exactly you know the cool parents I recall red asking them if they had somewhere else to be on more than one occasion so why is this entire group still hanging out at Eric's house I mean I guess HIDA still living there and he hangs out with them but it just seems like a strange choice especially when some of those people are their son's ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend what why would that be allowed making this matter even stranger is how they chose to end the last season with Foreman's catching the circle mid circle upstairs why would red and kitty ever allow their sons friends back over at the house again let alone when he's away in Africa this season also showcases the absolute worst of Kitty Foreman as a character I wouldn't say that they necessarily change Kitty but they instead only shed light on the worst parts of her character entirely they don't show her loving and nurturing nature and the instead just focus on her pettiness and just overall awfulness like I'm saying that word a lot and I can't believe that the woman who almost married my son has already moved on to the next customer because she's as loose as an old gym sock he wouldn't have left if you were a better girlfriend well maybe if you had mental smothering controling he wouldn't have gone halfway across the world just to get away from you we let you into our country his relationship with Donna completely deteriorates though to be fair Donna was kind of flaunting her new relationship in places it really doesn't belong I mean making out in your ex's room or in his family's driveway I mean you're kind of asking for your own trouble with the to saying things to each other that I don't think you could really come back from in real life they become so strange that when they finally make up in the season finale it's a little bit of too little too late no matter where you go I will always love you like a daughter only you could exactly press the rewind button from that point in time no matter how much the showrunners wish they could Kelso gets burned Michael Kelso was so dumb he made Joey Tribbiani look like an actual doctor he was a child stuck in a growing man's body so think big but if he never learned a lesson and just decide to be a child stuck in a growing man's body his stupidity and overall immaturity was a huge drawing factor to both the show and the actor playing it was this performance as this character which catapulted Ashton Kutcher to movies and a show on MTV that we let go on for a couple years for some reason Ashton decided it was time to move on from that 70s show so he could pursue a movie career Kutcher would agree to come back for the last season in what were billed as special guest appearances meaning one of everybody's favorite characters only shows up in five episodes in a 22 episode season 4 episodes into the season and the show is already used up all its Ashton Kutcher money within that short time Kelso loses his job as a police officer thank God I was supposed to arrest these guys on trumped-up charges no I left my dog at the playground and then take him to a bachelor party in the police car and then we're gonna watch some strippers dance and get drunk but I was totally gonna be back by the end of my shift but he gets a job working as a security guard at the Playboy Club leaving him to leave Point Place and moved to Chicago which would also mean that he gets to be closer to his daughter Betsy and her mother rook it's honestly a fitting ending for the character but it happened so fast it's like a blink and you miss it arc if you didn't tune in for this one week you had no idea that Kelso was going anywhere not just location wise but in life before he moves he also comes to the conclusion that he's in love with Jackie and tries proposing to her before he leaves that's Jackie who has long since been broken up with in Jackie who just a few episodes ago was his best friend's girlfriend it seemed really random and almost forced that these two would get back together but luckily Jackie turns him down as it be a couple more years before Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher would actually get together and let me say while Topher Grace's non appearance is noticeable Ashton's absence for the majority of the season is truly felt the episodes without him become less and less tolerable and the show feels like it's missing what made it great to begin with not Eric while that 70s show always had the cast of hi Donna Jackie Eric Fez and Ashton Kutcher I mean I mean Michael Kelso cuz apparently there's a difference despite having that entire ensemble of main characters it was always clear that the series lead was Eric Foreman now while Eric wasn't always the most easy to love character and he never really was the coolest he was the lead in which episodes were formed and the show was usually shown from his own perspective that 70 show took place mostly in his house most notably his basement I mean he'll even his immediate family got as much screen time as his friends despite being a seemingly dull character he was still a likable guy with anteye charisma time appropriate one-liners and timeless reactions Eric Foreman was beloved by audiences in the role even if they didn't always agree or understand the characters decisions he was a huge part of what made the show work he was the focal point in what 70s fans tuned in for seven or eight years for so an actor Topher Grace chose to leave the show in order to pursue a career in movies it of course left a noticeable gap topher instead chose to star in spider-man 3 which was a mistake for everybody honestly this was a bad career move all around both the show and Topher's career suffered without Eric Foreman and spider-man 3 suffered with Topher Grace nothing against the guy he's actually not a bad actor but spider-man 3 was just as hard to watch a season 8 of That 70's Show they were both two things I would come to love but would later learn to hate because of its last installment even though Eric had left it was decided that they'd proceed on with seasoning because his Freddie Mercury once said the show must go on especially if we can squeeze a couple more pennies out of this now I do however want to give that 70s show credit they actually did manage to set up Eric leaving in the previous season and even casted a reasonable replacement they brought in the character of Charlie a childhood friend of Eric's and the son of one of Reds war buddies Charlie was set up as a lovable hopeless doof who apparently still hadn't swiped his v card so not too dissimilar to Eric during the earlier seasons of the show he was similar enough to him for there to be a comparison to be made but also enough of his own character to have a contrast list written up as well he only appeared in about three episodes but the show did a good job of establishing him in his relationship with the rest of the cast he and Eric were friendly due to a similar upbringing hiding Kells who were being position his big brotherly type roles that would help take the inexperienced Charlie under their wing the girls just saw him is the new guy and Fez would bully him for that fact the Charlie character fit the mold of the show in Brett Harrison is actually a pretty good actor his interactions with the rest of the cast seemed promising INRI watching the show for the first time since I was a kid I actually was really curious to see where the story in its next season were going most the immigrants arrived in the 19th century before the skyline was ever built but I never really got together with any of them wait you never going forward Charlie was scheduled to take Eric's place but unfortunately that's not what would happen Charlie's actor Brett Harrison instead chose to join the show the loop what ever that was and take guest spots on other shows leading to the newly established character being killed off literally feels so good to finally belong something you know it's like the first day of the rest of my life so they renamed it the Charlie Richardson memorial water tower and that's the last they ever speak of them I just don't understand how you get signed on as a lead character in a show then appear but leave before you ever become a lead in said show now I'm not gonna claim that the show would have been as popular as it was in its heyday but I think it would have wound up being a hell of a lot better than what we wound up with for season eight so instead of Charlie Richardson we got Josh Meyers I can't tell you for how long I hated Seth Meyers thinking it was him who played this role I give you my sincerest apologies because it wasn't Seth Meyers fault it was his no-good dirty-rotten pig-stealing brother Josh Meyers see now here I was blaming Saturday Night Live when it was really mad TVs fault [Music] it was Josh Meyers who completely decimated my favorite 90s show set in the 70s something clearly got messed up you know I'm just gonna say it Randy Pearson is the worst character in the history of creativity I would take I would take a hundred and jelica pickles and a million Caillou's before I took a single minute more after this review to think about Randy Pearson being that the show lost two of its main characters and cast members this season it was decided that the best way to replace them would be to merge them together in thus Randy Pearson was unfortunately created making him the worst amalgamation you have ever seen Randy had the looks in the charm of Kelso but the brain and we venus of eric and those two things do not work together over all this just made Randy seem inconsistent and more so over kind of bland he didn't really have a personality we just a blank slate with hair to rival Jimmy neutrons he was the cousin Oliver of his time he didn't really mix well with the cast he seemed entirely out of place on set and simply put his inclusion just didn't work the writers also seemed desperate for fans to accept the character as they continued to write him as a picture-perfect person its new guy Randy is awesome Randy is perfect hey who's pretty boy oh my god Fez listen to what song I wrote it's for a few weeks ago heíd hired this new guy Randy at the record store and he's really cute I'm Randy I've got big muscles I'm good-looking you know that Randy he's a pretty sharp kid he built this thing in two days Randy has dated every girl here he's so charming and friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand you were so amazing winning all that stuff with your hair flowing and your muscles rippling he's bright he's good with tools and most important he is never once tried to teach me the ways of the Jedi he's awful handsome smart kind of cute that lady at the ferret of the characters she refused to draw him because she couldn't find a flaw you want every game into place Donna must be nice too fine have a boyfriend it can swing that sledge hammer and get that little black thing passed seriously hit it Randy Linda oh my god mrs. your - was that uh Linda I dated her and her sister Missy because the last time I got between two women well that actually worked out really well not together there was a summer in between them summer was their cousin he was smooth enough to somehow keep Eric's parents at ease he was smart enough to come up with schemes in episodes see these guys over there they think Leo is an Allman brother why would they think that I told them I figured meeting one of the guys from the band we put people in a buying mood and a totally word he was cool enough for Donna to want to move on from Eric today Randy gained the acceptance of the Foreman's early on something not even their own son could do he became best friends with Hyde immediately despite high-beam hide Donna fell head-over-heels for him I was wondering if maybe you'd like to I don't know like do something with me tonight for good old VB Valentine's Day maybe rain check sure I love rain Chuck's a fact I love checking for rain I'm gonna go check for rain right now pairing the new kid on the block before New Kids on the Block was even a thing with Donna right after her relationship with the series lead silently ended was also a pretty bold move it wasn't a bright move but it was a bold one being the fans of the show so Randy is taking Eric's place putting him with his now ex-girlfriend only seemed to solidify that opinion Donna and Randy weren't even necessarily bad together but there was just no replacing Eric and Donna and having seen everything that they've gone through it's kind of understandable why and Randy and Donna is they weren't bad they just kind of seemed you know Blair it was like his bland this seemed to affect her by near Association and neither did anything all that interesting the entire season why did I watch this again Randy was the worst he wasn't written to be a douche or anything but ultimately he commits the most vile Act you can in movies or TV ads being born everything about the character seems like they didn't bother rewriting the scripts they just instead crossed out Eric's name and wrote brandy it always seemed like he had Eric's storyline sloppy seconds and he was never really able to do anything with them and the show seems to acknowledge that and post because all of the merchandise including the box art for the final season includes all of the show's main characters just - Randy this one not only didn't include them but they took a picture he was included in and went out of their way to cut him out talk about you cold shoulder even Kelso's there tell so who only shows up five times in the season that should tell you how fondly remembered Randy Pearson truly is by time the finale came around Randy was m.i.a with him and Donna having broken up the episode earlier it was clear by time all was said and done the new showrunners had realized their mistake and what a mistake it was because the guy never really did seem like an actual character he just kind of seemed like a plot point I have to go now my planet even when trying to enjoy the last season the show I found my eyes rolling almost every time he entered the room like oh here we go is this guy again Randy is irredeemably awful and terrible just overall awful well kids it looks like you're really in some deep you're not funny Randy is very much the Jar Jar Binks of this franchise being so hated by the fandom that by time the last installment came out he's only in the background for one scene hopefully like Star Wars there is a future installment which reveals that Randy is actually frozen in carbonite what's even more strange is that the Randy Pearson character was a last-minute change as the new showrunners originally auditioned and cast Josh Myers as Topher Grace's full-on replacement with the idea of having him portray Eric Foreman going forward luckily cooler heads prevailed and the Randy character was created so as bad as Randy is just think it still could have been a lot worse by the way this isn't a controversial opinion either it's always part of its evolution they would like do my man's wrong Eric Foreman yeah cuz like even the new guy then they make any sense they not anything to the dynamic or anything with the goop how you feel about that seventy show used to be good Teddy feel about Randy the dude who came in replaced Eric last season there's a reason why for a guy then they tried to force that whole like you know like oh well Donna singles the whole internet practically hates Randy Pearson I mean just look at this proof proof seriously Randy is despised the one human being the singular human that I know that actually likes Randy Pearson is black friend Allen and black friend Allen makes bad choices for example he's friends with me I'm a terrible person wait a minute you like Randy well understand well you have said a lot of hurtful things but this is the worst wrong kid died making Eric awful let's be real here at this point in time Eric's character had already been on a decline for the last season or so his impulsive decisions to call off his own wedding at the last minute and take a year off of life and then to make the decision to leave for a year without talking it over with the significant other just kind of made Eric look like a self-centered tool but this season makes him entirely unlikable which I didn't even know was possible to do when the character isn't present for the season this season does a tremendous job in making eric foreman awful first off him randomly leaving his friends family and the love of his life to go and lauren in africa was a piss-poor way of letting him leave the show on top that we learned that when he is gone he's having very limited interaction with Donna and something the guy doesn't have any time to himself because he actively calls to talk to his mother but he intentionally avoids talking to Donna for virtually no rhyme or reason so why you up Eric's calling from Africa did you stay down here all night oh yeah I guess so Eric never called I hope he's okay hi Eric Oh Donna's right here why don't you say hi oh okay talk to you later then I love you and at one point he even breaks up with her over the phone off screen none of that sounds like the Eric fans knew or that people love when Topher Grace finally does show back up in the finale in that crappy wig to win Donna back what should be a nice sentiment really just feels more shrug worthy Foreman's a foreskin I don't even know that I want to see this guy get a happily ever after or succeed I am glad Randy's gone so I'll take it thank you but still I don't know I also couldn't stand the constant references to him throughout the season like the writers wanted to reassure us that he existed and didn't disappear into the same abyss the kid from Family Matters did Eric and Africa Eric Eric your son Eric Eric with Eric Conn your the town gun man I have a boyfriend Eric Eric Eric Eric a Tico Eric is Eric I forgot about Eric yeah like I've ever been with was Eric and as far as I know a typical guy's thoughts are who would win in a fight Bigfoot or Chewbacca Foreman Eric Jamaica Eric's room less girly Eric Eric boxing up some of Eric's awards I was a proud day when he came home with this beauty prettiest non-functioning kite Eric Eric Eric the only thing Eric ever made was this crappy birdhouse the air in jerks Eric Eric Eric Eric Eric Eric Eric Eric Eric okay what do I want in a guy who doesn't look like Eric I look forward to retirement as much as I look forward to playing catch with my son and both of them have left me bitterly disappointed Eric Eric Eric Eric I get wanting to keep continuity but two to three shout outs on an episode is only reminding viewers how great the seasons with them was and how far the show is fallen now all these combined reasons me the last season of the show seemed entirely directionless and overall unnecessary it said that the show went out with such a whimper instead of the bang that it deserved I thank you but truth be told it was probably time for the show to end one way or another because the cast was very visibly aging some to a painful extent I mean really you mean to look at Danny Masterson and Wilmer Valderrama whatever the hell his name is and you think that they were just 19 last year yeah I don't think so sheíll had a good run it was on for seven or eight years and that's probably about seven or eight years longer than you think a show named that 70 show would be able to go on the seventies believe it or not had very little relevance to the early 2000s regardless overall even though the last season is insanely disappointing and honestly not really even worth the watch you still got seven great seasons with one additional bonus season if you're really a diehard fan and you want to have your dreams crushed that's what it does that 80 show is more well thought out than the last season of that 70 show I would rather sit through every episode of days like these then we watch the last season of that 70 show I would have rather actually watched that Carla movie that no one in existence seems to actually know anything about I'd rather be present for a marathon of the later seasons of two and a Half Men I would rather spend my time over analyzing Jupiter ascending I would rather try and stomach Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson tried their hand at southern accents for three seasons I would rather react to old yo mama reruns I would rather go on Amazon and order a copy of date movie I'd rather see a Topher Grace Oscar acceptance speech for his work in spider-man 3 then watch this season ever ever ever again there are parodies that are more faithful to these characters than this season was this season is just filler between that 70 shows a day and cancellation it is a badly written not well thought out under established underdeveloped rushed entirely disaster piece that for a lack of a better word it is the worst it's the worst in the world do what you want cause a pirate is free you are a pirate ladies and gentlemen this is Alex Jones and we are breaking with a conditioning no look I'm gonna be honest with you I'm kind of [ __ ] which is why I liked and
