kids I'm gonna tell you an incredible story the story of How I Met Your Mother what the is wrong with you what you sat us to tell us the story of how you met our mother and each being years ago these videos are not for children if you are a children then piss off [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey there I'm VIN fuse oh and last month I remade a video talking about the day that 70 sho died where I listed some of the reasons to the show's final season was the series all-time low but that 70 shows last season has nothing has nothing on the rise and demise of How I Met Your Mother you see because people still rewatch that 70 show there are still fans of it to this day they have fond memories of its heyday and would rather forget the awful note that it left off on by introducing Randy Pierce Randy goddamn Pierson but I digress my point was people still rewatched that 70 show whereas the same can't be said for How I Met Your Mother a series that was once praised as filling the hole that friends left behind in its wake so with that information you may be surprised to hear that most of its viewers never bothered a second viewing yet people are still watching friends as a matter of fact friends was gonna be taking off Netflix a little while ago and there was almost a national crisis and once again with How I Met Your Mother not so much okay this is no exaggeration here literally none of my friends none of my friends that I watched the show with when it aired have every watched it after its finale and by the sounds of it they have no intention on doing that at any any time ever at any point life but why why is that I mean this is a show that we all loved and watched religiously we met up to watch it together when it came on we've been through the older episodes to make sure we were all caught up and we would reference the show in our day-to-day daily lives so why can't we look back on it and laugh like we once did well unfortunately for you and me we're gonna take a look back and find out kids today I'm going to tell you a story a story about how I Met Your Mother no not too long just about I would say nine seasons [Music] blah blah blah have you met Ted no oh well good you're probably better off look I like Ted much more than the average internet article writer I mean y'all have gotten so woke you have taken to calling out fictional characters from sitcoms that aired when you were a child Ross Geller is toxic Xander Harris is toxic Ted Mosby's toxic well no I don't agree with any of that however what I will say is Ted Mosby was annoying I get it the guy's a hopeless romantic and in a lot of ways that's commendable but Ted as the years go on as a character becomes less and less tolerable no offence to his actor Josh Radnor who managed to make such a pain-in-the-ass character somewhat likeable for as long as he did but let's be honest here Ted Mosby was too in love with the idea of being in love his quest to find the one at some point bordered on being more of an obsession so much so that I is a viewer openly wondered if he'd accept any woman and called her the one just to try and satisfy his own urge for love what I'm trying to say is Ted is the type of guy who would bite down on puzzle pieces to get them to fit together and then put it on display for everyone there's an episode and How I Met Your Mother or hmm as people have been known to call it where they're talking about the first time Marshall asked Lily out and they're discussing a situation Lily found cute and how it could just as easily be seen as creepy the only thing separating those two scenarios are the fact that Lily was already interested in Marshall I have a similar feeling about the actions of Ted Mosby what is shown to be cute and somewhat quirky could very easily come off as creepy and insistent the only thing that separates them is that the show plays them off is being cute listen you put the right kind of music behind some of those actions and am telling you you have a thriller horror the woman who set you up with your fiancé thinks we're a better match I am getting married on Saturday see we're both impulsive we're perfect for each other and that kids is how you turn a no into a yes Ted also never really seemed to get over himself not because he was malicious or toxic but because he never seemed to mature he was a child trapped in a growing man's body who was desperately trying to fit in even the last season which tries to show Ted putting his friendship with Barney over his feelings for Robin to me a lot of it at least just seems like he did it so he could secretly save the day I just always got the impression that this guy's entire world revolved around himself and at times it even seemed like everyone who knew him lives had to also revolve around him too all I'm saying is at some point in time Ted just became too much to tolerate and I I saw Bruton for him but I held out because I knew that we were gonna get to see Bob Saget play him at some point in time wait for it and now everything else I'm about to say is about that premeditated train wreck of a final season one of the more absolutely insane and aggravating parts of the season is its timeline up until this point this show handled time just fine for the most part time passed as time passed so simple enough of course there were temporary time jumps cutting to the future or the past for a punch line which makes sense given the setup of the show the whole series is just essentially an older Ted Mosby sharing his memoirs with his children and when you're telling stories about friends you are well I mean at least me I go all over the place I'll start a story then I'll remember another story I want to throw in there it just it happens sometimes I even do that in my videos but for the most part the show flowed nicely its future gags didn't take away from the chronological story being told and sometimes it even managed to add a new perspective to it however in its ninth season the writers thought yeah I mean hey it's been working for us so far but you know it's true that the final season of How I Met Your Mother has a total of 24 episode it's out of those 24 episodes 22 of them take place over the course of three days the entire season is centered around Barney and Robin's wedding weekend and I think that really curbs this season a lot of the scenes will revolve around the same couple of sets and it's not really all that interesting of a setting to begin with in shows there's a thing called Bottle episodes and all that means is it's an episode of a show where a good majority of it if not all of it takes place in one or two sets this is to contain a story while also not going crazy on a budget and then there's some who just use it as a creative exercise but for the most part they're usually just filler episodes of seasons not necessarily bad episodes but you know just something to fill it out this is a bottl season and I don't even know if that's a real thing but I'll tell you what it shouldn't be but this is in the first episode Marshall spends the entire runtime in a plane station which I'm being told is also referred to as an airport but nah man this is that's a plane station Ted spends most of the episode in his car where he's accompanied by Lily half the time and the other half of the time that she's not in Ted's car she's on a train while Robin and Barney spend their whole plot riding in Barney's limo planning their wedding and hoping they're not blood-related look it is a long story it makes sense in context this is not nearly as bad as it sounds [Music] this season's format damages its plot and even some of the comedic payoffs to get around this issue with flashbacks and flash-forwards of events prior and later to the wedding but that kind of seems like a solution to a problem you just made this makes the entire season feel as if it's moving at a snail's pace story beats suddenly become storylines what would have been a small part of the plot becomes the plot itself this structure just didn't work and it certainly wasn't sturdy enough to hold up How I Met Your Mother the majority of the season feels like filler episodes you could cut almost any of those episodes in half and they'd still feel like they were going on for too long and let me remind you this wasn't the current TV show 30 to 45 minutes a show these were 22 minute episodes and it still felt like they went on for too long but then again the show in general was pretty much known for going on for too long so hey at least they stayed consistent now fall that's not bad enough the final two episodes take place in the course of 15 years so almost an entire season 22 episodes of it takes place in three days and then the last two episodes take place in a decade and a half this season started off the race as The Tortoise but somehow finished as the hare and I mean that both in terms of speed and also because like the hare it failed it would be like me starting off a sentence like this if this is some kind of commentary on life and how our concept of time changes depending on the situation at hand not to mention that whole aging thing then that's a pretty clever way of showing such however that doesn't change the fact that it has an undeniable negative impact on these episodes in my opinion this season would have been so much better had the first two episodes been Robin and Barney's wedding and then the rest of the season been going through the course of 15 years it also wouldn't have severely limited the stories in terms of storytelling and setting and wouldn't make this season seem dependent on what I can only describe as the Family Guy cutaway of time jumps because of the way it's final it's formatted that also means that almost all of Ted in the mother's sweetest moments are just random future inserts as opposed to them being a part of a nicely fleshed out story where longtime viewers could finally watch their relationship evolve and it's not like the flesh packs themselves are in any kind of chronological order either they're just all sprinkled in there I had to question if I'm watching How I Met Your Mother or I put in momentum all the viewers get is the highlight reel of their relationship and honestly it feels really cheap in hindsight when I tried rewatching the show by time I got to its last season I was kind of tired of its humor it was clear by this late in the game the well was starting to run dry and the show had really run its course even if you didn't watch the show during its original run and this was your first experience with these characters you might be tired of them make no mistake having a show run for the better part of a decade is without a doubt an accomplishment it's hard to do and they successfully did it but by tying the last season rolls around you'll want to roll off a cliff this season the jokes don't hit the way they once did and even the laugh track seems to be in on that it's not even that all the jokes are bad I mean some are but but they're not all bad they just seem badly timed are awfully delivered just taking off my panty no Lilly's frozen I can't describe it but everyone this season just kind of feels off well except for Barney Neil is the only one who brought his a-game everyone else just kind of looks like they're waiting for the show to finally end so they could pick up their paychecks so I have to give the writers of season 9 props for still trying to do something new even if it had little no relation to the actual seasons arc in the form of a rhyming episode I mean yeah it kind of sucked but hey at least they were trying Who am I kidding nobody this season was trying once again except for Neil Patrick Harris well done I don't know how else to explain this but the last season had some head-scratching moments to say the least like in a lot of media sometimes characters come to conclusions only to progress the plot rather than it being any earthly coherent thought any rational human being would ever have Robin gets cold feet at her wedding and decides she can't go through with it because Barney never found a gold locket she buried when she was a kid yes I get it this is to symbolize that she wants a man that she knows will come through for her and that she's just having a pre ceremonial panic attack but this is a really dumb example to use to illustrate that point or take Lily for example who has a season long plot of being served drinks whenever she doesn't already have one in hand this is played up upon throughout the season especially during stressful moments showing Lily using alcohol as her coping crutch except it's later revealed that she actually asked for non-alcoholic drinks because she had a sneaking suspicion that she might be pregnant so she was just being served non-stop Shirley temple's the whole time if there was no alcohol in the drinks then why would she order the Kennedy package and have a drink in her hand for most of her screen time the one thing I didn't really remember prior to her rewatch in this season is that one of the show's main components Marshall also known as judge fudge actually goes m.i.a for a good chunk of the season I mean the characters still in the show but he's shown elsewhere trying to make it to the wedding and his time is mostly spent in a side-story with Daphne a character that was created solely for the season so that Marshall had someone to interact with it's just disappointing when near the halfway point of season 9 Marshall is still on the road and has barely interacted with the rest of the cast it just feels like he was sitting on the bench this whole time blah-blah-blah-blah-blah godmother Dryden Bruce Willis was ghosts at the end of six cents if there was one positive that this season had to offer it was the reveal of the mother I mean technically the last episode of the season before you know what it was the introduction of the mother I mean she was the ultimate end goal of the whole series it's even in the title How I Met Your Mother so the arrival of the character we've been anticipating since season one eight years ago had to be a big deal and it was the mother who was for the most part only referred to as the mother was the only somewhat redeemable part of this season the episodes do a good job of introducing her to the audience and to establish her as a character even though she's given far less screen time than everybody else and her continuity shot sart's stole over the goddamn place and it's fun when we get to see her dynamic with not only Ted but also with the rest of the group as well she bombs with Lily on a train over cookies she picks up Marshall when he's hitchhiking a flashback reveals that she was actually responsible for Barney's serious pursuit of Robin and she bumps into Robin that one time I don't know I don't know what else to say about that last part during that fall we did kind of get a second face with each other and we'll always share that all in all she's a pretty positive addition to the main cast and just as Lily imagined in that one episode she fits in perfectly with the group and you can easily imagine her and Ted sitting on the porch with lily and Marshall playing bridge or whatever the hell else olds people do I don't really know the character was so pure that she managed to rewind the clocks and make Ted tolerable again the little glimpses we get into Ted's relationship with her are nothing short of adorable most importantly are absolutely the highlight of the final season I just kind of wish there was a little bit more of it and hey you try not to fall in love with this woman after that ukulele scene she was not only a beacon of light in this dark dark time for the series but she was also the focal point in season nines best episode how your mother met me is probably exactly what you think it would be it's a full story following the mother basically playing the highlight reel of all the big moments of her life leading her all the way up to her stay at the farhampton Inn that weekend this episode is honestly one of my favorites of the whole show as it blends into the series continuity seamlessly and we get to see how many chance encounters have been missed between her and Ted your life could be on that dance floor waiting for you to bump into him if you're not there he's just gonna bump into someone else I'm sorry it fits in well and gives you more of an appreciation for the overall continuity it also really flushes out the mother's character and makes her feel like a real person and not just any person but a person that we know personally in such a short amount of time the show managed to make you feel for someone who is complete stranger to a dedicated fanbase in only 22 minutes we get all caught up with all the major events in the mothers young adult life which really makes me wonder why Ted couldn't have just given his kids that condensed version of events on his side of the story and regardless of how bad the season is her parts are absolutely rewatchable despite the great casting choice and her amazing performance and despite the fact that she's what the show has allegedly been about for almost a decade before she was even cast her role ultimately feels pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things the show began focused on the relationship between Ted and Robin and continued to dwell on their lives after their initial breakup I think the kids say it best themselves in the final episode this wasn't really the story of how he met their mother it was how he fell for their aunt Robin it's titled How I Met Your Mother but it's actually kids can I date your aunt the mother is really for the most part only sprinkled into the season at random intervals you need to sit down and listen to the story about how you met mom yet moms in the story though she is billed as being in addition to the main cast she gets far less screen time than the show's originals a several hour long story about your past conquests including but not limited to you cheating on a girl breaking up with a girl on her birthday twice your story well at that point you know what sure a big portion of my videos are nitpicking but let's get really precise let me do that specifically here Ted's children's scenes were shot all the way back during filming of season two this way the actors wouldn't age out like the show's audience did waiting for the mother's reveal even though it's clear that their half of the scene was filmed with older camera equipment an old man ted has a much more recent camera on him it's not really a mistake I can't fault them for that you know what it happens what I'm less forgivable about is the fact that Ted's half of the scene seems to take place at night well as children who are responding to him are clearly being filmed in broad daylight or are sitting underneath strong lighting that implies such how do you even make that mistake that that's the kind of mistake I'd make when I was making movies you were in charge of one of the biggest shows on air at the time whose head smells like love and unicorn teardrops and wire you murdered a few words out loud I heard lonely and unicorn hard get acquired I'm pretty sure I heard you call me a target earlier over there season nine of him iam was centered solely around the marriage of Robin and Barney I've already told you that 22 of the 24 episodes of this season were dedicated to their wedding weekend the whole season is about the evolution of Barney from ladies man to honest man and Robin learning to love Barney to the point where she actually wanted to settle down and spend her life with him these two characters are definitely a world apart from the characters we were first introduced to in the pilot episode we've watched them grow and now we're watching them grow together the show did a good job of making an audience root for Robin and Barney's happily ever after which is saying something because initially people weren't too fond of that many felt that Barney and Robin would wind up being the Rachel and Joey of the series the two definitely seemed a lot more compatible and their bond felt so authentic even earlier in the series run there was a real spark between the two of them and I don't think it would take a whole lot to justified these two ending up together as a matter of fact I go ahead and say that by time the last season came that's really what everybody was rooting for I mean sure yeah there were fans who wanted to see Ted and Robin somehow get their happily ever after but it was clear from the whole show's premise that they were on borrowed time as a couple plus those red or tobon shippers whatever they called themselves seem to only decrease as the show went on by time season 8 came out fans were all on board with the Barney and Robin Perry seeing them finally walked down the aisle seemed like the frosting on top of the cake this was the cinematic close to their story we all wanted to see but unfortunately much like in real life it's not just credits after they kiss and therefore after 22 episodes of wedding build-up it's revealed in the 23rd episode that Barney and Robin three years after their marriage decided to divorce meaning the entire seasons main focus was entirely pointless it took the writers a full season to build this up only to immediately break it back down to its credit the show does allude to and suggest that Barney and Robin may not actually work out but those doubts are mostly overshadowed with solutions by the end of those episodes every episode it seems like any issue that would come up between the two winds up getting resolved Tom and I are getting divorced you and Tom are the only couple that makes Barney believe in marriage I don't need them to make me believe in to love anymore I've got you for that now that's not gonna be us right like when we get married it's not all fighting no sex Oh Elizabeth leave the dentures in 60 years that'll be us right yeah that's the problem with us we don't think about checking in with the other person before doing something we're both lone wolves always off in our own worlds I bet even lone wolves can learn to work together we're gonna make a great team we just need some practice flying is second nature to Barney everything's legendary you know what legendary means not real I mean the man's initials are BS Robin Scherbatsky from this day forward I am always gonna be honest with you and at first it seems like they have a pleasant future ahead of them I get that the wedding story is part of how Ted and the mother finally meet but this did nothing for either of the characters getting married as a matter of fact I think you can clean it actually took away from them I see the last two episodes of this show as nothing but a complete de-evolution of Barney Stinson Robin Scherbatsky so this whole season for them seems like a complete waste he'll come to think of it all of season 8 was leading up to this moment - and now that feels just about is worthwhile just some part as previously stated the name of the show is How I Met Your Mother the whole story of the series is centered around an older Ted Mosby telling his children the story of how he met their mother the series was presented to audiences as the show about a man meeting the future mother of his children and supposedly of his life you had me tuning in for almost a decade and for what for you to introduce the character and almost immediately kill her off actually no no I'm sorry because that's not nearly harsh enough you spent years building up the debut of this character didn't bother to give her a name until series finale yes it's rotar away oh and if that if that somehow sits well with you if you're at home watching my videos shrugging your shoulders then please allow me to reiterate and we articulate myself they hyped this otherwise nameless character up to kill her off so we can travel back to 2005 and reenact the pilot episode with Ted arriving at Robins house with the blue trumpet oh good great great that's just what I wanted I think one of my biggest but probably not the biggest issues with this is that in the show asking why these two shouldn't be together they already answered their own question why shouldn't I be with that guy because I'm not that guy anymore but the truth is I don't love you like that anymore and you don't love me you love Barney you know I never thought I'd say it but Ted is actually right here he's not the same guy anymore and Robin's not the same girl anymore either they've moved on and evolved as people their relationship became a mostly platonic friendship over the last couple of seasons I get that the writers left a trail of breadcrumbs but by time we get to the series finale there's honestly no real way back those breadcrumbs you left have been eaten you have reached your destination and there's no way to return to the starting point that's it move on there is no next chapter book closed star sequel Ted also tells a story about when he was a kid and let go of a balloon basically the lesson of this story is to hold on to what you love and never let it go because once you do it's gone if only these writers followed that same thought process because Ted let go Robin floated away and so did any interest in seeing these two get back together is gone and try as you might you can't get it back pairing these two back was a huge misstep and this is the biggest reason the show's own fans don't like revisiting it this decision took years of story and relationship building and completely demolished it season nine actually had a couple of scenes pulled for time restraints but the scenes they chose to pluck are scenes that I think would have been pretty beneficial to the final product it'd be nice to say goodbye to Robin sparkles at Robins wedding I mean yeah sure she's no Robin daggers but you know whatever but most notably is a scene showing Robin and Ted meeting up for lunch to catch up on their lives during this scene we get to see that there's still some kind of a connection between the two even if it's been a while since they last seen each other we get a real feel for where each character is mentally and emotionally at this point in their lives and its inclusion would have helped progress the plot along and maybe it would have made the final two episodes of the show a little less jarring look I'm not saying it would be a season saver I'm just saying that I think it would have helped the flow a little bit does anyone ever get to this age and not wonder what could be different you're okay right no major problems blah blah blah this is dumb one thing a lot of the seasons defenders like to bring up around the time that it came out was the alternate ending to the show and how it supposedly fixed everything the last episodes mucked up except no no it didn't first and foremost this is in fact an alternate ending meaning that it isn't canon this isn't part of the original continuity this isn't a retcon this is an alternate take it's like the ending of clue and that kids is how I Met Your Mother your mom's dead and I'm banging your aunt Robin Lal no matter how good this alternate version of the series finale was it wasn't the actual ending to the show [Music] secondly this ending is so tacked on an illegitimate it feels like they literally just added this to the season 9 DVD release to appease fans who hated the original ending because it was and they did this last-minute narration was something they came up with in post to try and regain fan support and let the show end on a positive note now if I'm being honest I actually kind of like the alternate ending Robin and Barney stay together Ted and the mother get a happily ever after we get a recap and run through all the most important moments in the series that led Ted to Tracy is great is great but that brings me to my final point on the matter it's kind of a big one and that's no no this ending doesn't fix anything if anything it only leads to more questions the writers had planned long in advance that Ted's wife was dead it had dropped not-so-subtle hints throughout for example future Ted only refers to his wife Tracy and past tense throughout the show in the Time Traveler's episode Ted talks in detail about how he wished he had more time with the mother even saying that he wished he met her 45 days earlier than he had or had 45 seconds longer with her than he did in season 9 we Future jumped to an older Ted and Tracy would Ted telling the story of how Robins mother shocked her and showed up for her wedding - which Tracy responds of course she showed up what mother is gonna miss her daughter's wedding this seemingly harmless statement seems to trigger something in the couple as they both come to a grim realization that Tracy won't be making a territory's wedding the writing was already on the wall or more accurately her tombstone she was diagnosed by the writers early on and we knew that it was fatal so having an alternate ending where they lived happily ever after means absolutely nothing because it contradicts the entire series up until this point in time you fail so to answer my question before as to why people still watch that 70 show it's because that 70 show's final season is so divorced from the show's previous seasons it's easy to overlook it entirely I mean most of my commenters have pointed out that they watch that 70 show's seventh season to completion and then skip over to the final episode of season 8 and honestly you're not missing anything important in doing that whereas with How I Met Your Mother its final season is integral to the show as a whole there's no way to binge watch the show without watching its last season and if you did it would just feel like an incomplete story we don't get to meet the show's namesake until its final season we don't get to see a relationship with Ted until a couple episodes into that season without season 9 all of season eights main story arcs lead to nothing Robin and Barney's wedding and following marriage is left unknown Ted's relationship with the mother would never be shown for all the issues I've listed that the final season experienced the series finale was the real death blow to its overall legacy don't get me wrong well there's definitely still a drop in quality when comparing its last season to its earlier ones there is nothing truly unbearably awful about it outside of its ending there's still moments of charm and intrigue and believe it or not some developments that are still enjoyable but all is forgotten in the aftermath of the last season's two-parter it's ironic that the episodes titled last forever are pretty much with me the show's relevancy passed with time I know I've kind of been wagging my finger at the show pretty much this whole video but the only reason the show left so many people so upset is because of how invested they were into it How I Met Your Mother is still a really good show and it should be remembered as such the cast was great the writing was usually well written and there's some really genuine heartbreaking and heartwarming moments it's given us looking back I don't think the last season is awful but I do think it definitely falls a little short of the mark for a big send-off I'm just glad I took the time to view it once again for the sake of this video because while it was reminded of all the things I hated it's final season and as you could see is a lot of them I was also reminded of all the things I loved from the show in general it was like a fun little trip down memory lane just had to get right past teenage traumas and I was there so with that being said oh wait a second whoa wait I almost forgot I almost completely forgot the show's biggest sin it's actually funny how I got into the show a friend of mine at the time got me into it by showing me its first episode and the first thing that got me interested was the series narrator since its pilot episode Bob Saget was the voice opening and sometimes closing the show he was tasked with being the voice we hear on an episode to episode basis that voice allegedly being the voice of an elder Ted Mosby telling stories of his young adulthood to his children and sure he sounds absolutely nothing like Josh Radnor but with suspension of disbelief I guess you could say that maybe his voice changed with the passing of time even if it doesn't really make sense because voices change but they don't change that much those are two completely different sounding men don't know why Josh just isn't the narrator to begin with but okay kids I'm gonna tell you an incredible story the story of How I Met Your Mother and that kids is how I Met Your Mother I mean listen to that not even close as the seasons went on and they did the occasional time jump into the future it seems like Ted was becoming more and more Saget like in his appearance I fall all expected by time the series finale rolled around that the role of Ted Mosby would now be played by Danny Tanner but that wasn't the case by time the series finale came out not only does everybody's favorite launching comedian turned wholesome TV dad not make an appearance but they even cut back to Ted wrapping up his story with his own god-given voice so where's full house coming to any of this why did old man Ted put on his best Bob Saget impersonation to tell his kids the story of how he met his mother only to stop using when the story came to its conclusion or did he never actually put on that voice which granted I guess would make more sense except that begs the question why was Bob Saget even the narrator to begin with why is the voice of a guy from the future Bob Saget I mean a guy on the show he's already an adult I mean did they really need the dad from Full House for star power was Doogie Howser the chick from Buffy and the guy from Forgetting Sarah Marshall not enough personally I think they were just being greedy I mean this is so stupid that would be like me that would be like me ending this video like this and that because is how how I Met Your Mother [Music] ladies and gentlemen this is Alex Jones and we are breaking without conditioning no look I'm gonna be honest with you I'm kind of V tarted which is why I liked and subscribe to the social injustice Warriors Channel I even clicked that little bell to stay notified you have to look into it people but then I began to uncover what I believe to be a secret nefarious plot orchestrated by Zionist reptilians now give me a second digging deep I discovered that he wants you to quote-unquote follow him on Twitter now think about that for a minute what kind of person what sort of individual wants you to follow them you know who else wanted people to follow them the world's biggest beach boy fan long Charles Manson is this man operating v infuse Oh massage and justice warrior hey remember me from the video you just watched for over a half hour yeah yeah well it's me again when I put up my remastered the day that 70 showed ID video I got a flood of comments saying something about an elk and I didn't know if that was a reference or a meme I didn't get because I'm an aging recluse but luckily someone cleared it up by letting me know there's an account called entertain the elk who has a very similar series and I mean a very very very similar series it's the exact same title I don't know how long ago he started his series but my initial the day that 70 show died was uploaded I think like two years ago at this point in time not that it was actually any good it was well it was actually quite awful but that's the way the series started with no knowledge of their existence so the two titles are pretty weird coincidence not that they're exactly the most creative titles for YouTube videos now imagine my heartbreak when I'm working on this video for two weeks and on the last day of editing the last day of editing the day that I'm about to upload it this comes up in my newsfeed it is literally the same exact title so I said and I thought about what I could rename this series as a whole but as you guys know I'm not really all that creative or bright or talented or good-looking but that has nothing to do with what I'm saying so ultimately I just decided screw it I'm gonna keep the title but I would like to help separate my content from theirs you know just for a future reference here so just remember the following my titles are in old caps like a psychopath his are written you know pretty standard like he's some kind of Normie his videos seem to convey the point he's trying to get across within ten minutes whereas my videos are ongoing ramblings that will probably last at least a half hour his channel is successful in mine is uh well maybe one day well we'll see where it goes we'll see what happens all of those and also they're uploaded on two entirely different accounts so there is also that I'm sorry if this leads to any confusion going forward but hopefully this will help clear it up
