mean it's basically the greatest thing ever made um it it's basically like steampunk steampunk yeah it's all about building devices with rotational power gears super powered pistons cogs gear shifts all kinds of crazy stuff um i think i sent this monti like over a year ago and i was like hey man check this out and you just kind of revived it and sent it back to me and i was like yeah it's time it's time to try this give this a try so i know a lot of you have tried it please try to reduce spoilers we know nothing about this and by nothing i mean like we know how to maybe generate some power and that's about it um we've done we've done about half an hour of homework [Music] yeah yeah yeah so uh so you know it'll be fun and i want to let you know that right now i am horrible at modded i don't even know how to use j-e-i whatever this nonsense is it frustrates me tango forgot how to place a block the other day because he was in modded have patience with me as i as i fumble through this um but we're playing here in survival though we're not doing the creative thing we're probably going to stream this for you know this is more than just the today thing i think right i hope we enjoy it and we keep going so we'll be in ongoing so we're gonna uh we're gonna we're gonna do stuff like like get food and wood and all the things so we should survive initially yes beautiful little tree here that i'm gonna nab all right then i'm gonna go grab another tree we've got these sheep here that we want to kind of uh we want to keep bottle up for future goodness because we need a lot of wool can we do that in this mod i think so we can bottle sheep and they're actually gonna have to like go get iron and stuff and there's probably like a better way to do all this stuff but you know well the thing with this mod that i've seen is that the parts are quite cheap ish they're wood they're stunning yeah so hopefully we can get some stuff going soon but yeah we do need the initial um like what i hate about modded you guys know me i'm all like right i hate the whole stand in front of the box zed is silent now well fine all right hang on three man over here let me move him back up to here let front of the giant box and craft things for like three days you know that you know like the rabbit hole of crafting i don't need two pics i don't know what things are popping my face there um i don't know i don't know what's happening what what is what is going on five seconds i'm already getting flustered you're peeking at me man dude i'm like trying to make things and it's like it's like swapping out things and people can you go and babysit tango please i need i'm dangerous i'm dangerous ah okay using that man oh well chop some chops and choppy i'm chopping all the choppies okay so our goal today is get a little bit of survival survival build a stupid dirt hut um we want a dirt hot but with a with a beautiful door but we're gonna try and put a fancy mechanical uh giant birch door on the front oh birch now i see we're gonna cog it up the door yeah the idea is that we have a door that actually like rotates open and stuff we'll see uh all right i'm ready to like give me some i want something better than wood i'm an expert at survival you know as everyone right nice i hate it the initial survival thing i just get completely flustered even though i've done loads of uhc's with my patrons i still in this scenario just go no i've forgotten yeah where have you gone i'm digging a little hole inside this mountain here to get some stone okay do we do shall i go get some food some chicken yeah why don't you uh round up the old sheepies and stuff like that and get some i want to kill them don't kill the sheep no maybe get a pen and put them in a little thing um okay or just get some regular food yeah i think i'll just get some chicken why no more videos on youtube [Music] chickens sad uh the short answer is because i'm putting every waking moment into trying to finish uh among us and i've been streaming a lot more so you know there's that there is that they said i got iron you got iron already look at you is that from the uh the titan or the there is a way to make there is a way to automate iron by the way you know that right there's another way to get iron there's a there's a create way to get to get iron i can't wait oh there is yeah you found it i i did look a little bit of that off and i'm very excited to try it oh we're going to have a a mega uh we're going to have a mega iron farm it's going to be all automated with gears okay it does so the idea is you make a cobblestone generator okay like a big one um yeah the grinders grind up the cobble cobble goes down to conveyor belt gets picked up then there's this process where you can like make a fan and put water in front of the fan and then uh and it washes things that blow in front of the water yeah i mean yeah yeah yeah yeah um so oh you're right there was more iron look at that um and you can wash the gravel and the gravel has a chance of turning into flint and an even smaller chance of turning into an iron uh nugget so you don't get a lot but it is automated but then i'm just like anything it can scale up so we could just make like a massive one with like huge rows and rows of cobble generators and then washing bits everywhere and yeah jc this is basically factorio there's conveyor belts and gears and arms that pick things off and stuff so if you guys like visual yeah as well exactly if you guys like factorio uh or any kind of automation stuff you want to stick around or go find someone who knows what they're doing one of the two that mentions a lot bit all right uh i have a little bit of stone again huh i want to meet up with you again it's getting dark all right yeah we didn't we are we living inside the i have a hole in the wall where are you i love holiday malls [Laughter] um hang on last few chickens and then i'm basically i think i'm way we were chopping trees down okay i'm at just the spawn valley or whatever i guess spawn valley i like it it's already started but now i'm going over to my hidey hole there you go hi this is our he's way louder than me to get any uh wool or am i making a smelter to get shears and all that oh oh yeah we'll get some shears going and then we can run and get beds yeah that's a really good idea um i didn't gather we have no fuel log i've got some i've got some saplings and things throw them in there all right this to be dangerous uh what mods do we have in here we have it's very simple we have create jei jr said what mods do we have just enough resources just enough items which are both very similar they're both just this visual thing on the right hand side which just tell us how to craft things we have create and we have a mod that lets us search our keybinds a bit better so that's it it's a video did you get some cobble do you need some kabul i got one cobble there you go now you got a bunch you look really good in this light by the way well the darker i'm the better i look for some reason exactly uh did you make shears yet oh you did i do do you want to go and run around and uh get well it is dark out mechanical press is but check it out so it shows you how these things work it's got like this in-game tutorial that shows how like gears work and everything so like there's a good example of how you can see gears working with shafts working with devices and this is like pressing things and turning things into like plates and stuff like that you can have conveyor belts that pull items from chess automatically and then it goes down the conveyor belt and then it stamps it as it goes by it's insane it's absolutely insane um let me say i'll show uh no no no no no no no we'll look at a fan this is one of the things you like blow yeah so you could like like air currents to like push mobs and stuff like that oh hi zed i got kicked in the face that's weird that must have been a server glass or something and then i come back and you're talking about blowing what fans what's going on yeah i'm showing people the stuff man i'm hitting that i'm hitting the the contemplate or whatever it is we want to make it it will be very good although a water mail might let's do the water mill let's get this to the water mill first and get something going here right so okay okay you can you make a bucket and we can actually like make a uh all right so we need a large cog and eight slabs the cog requires andesite alloy some wood and a site okay so yeah we need uh iron ingots and the andesite all right are we just digging are we using this right yeah shall we just go caving a little bit until we get some iron and endocyte yeah i found a i found a big ish cave here and there's there's a lot of iron in it there's a lot of everything i am in the east northeast direction of our cave okay so far i have one piece of food on me do you have more before we get into a cake i have an apple i haven't it's a regular feast okay we need more food um we definitely need more food i was hoping there'd just be a massive pile of pigs somewhere you know that's what i i usually just eat the old pile of pigs yeah pile of pigs i'm killing chickens but not killing i've been i've been killing chickens but not oh there's this pile of pigs you you found the part of picnic bacon on demand okay yeah this this ravine looks relatively safe and relatively uh fruitful for our endeavors we don't have the fruit mod said oh this isn't this isn't fruit though we don't have we don't have banana tech oh i'm quitting torque you need stress and something else but we need we need gold sheets for that which means first we need gold and then we also need a press to press the sheets um a mechanical press as well which just make something useful right like a a weighted ejector a smart shoot so many cool things a crush i know you did say something about a crushing wheel right uh yeah if you want to i mean we could make a we can start the iron thing if you want or actually because then i mean you know then we don't have to worry about it at least that's a step in the right direction right instead of like you know like a front door which would be you know useless oh so look yeah crushing coal ore gives us two coal plus 50 for another two coal and cobblestone we need uh there's a little bit of coal there we need more coal oh would you say yeah yeah so we can crush iron with with these crushing wheels right but you said quite a lot was there a way to get call um probably in the same manner yeah yeah i just smell by just crushing down stone i think um there's a recipe here that's five by five yeah we need a big machine is there a bigger crafter thing um yeah i think there is literally look in the top left of whatever it is and it will say we need what machine we need we need a mechanical crafter ponder that an array of mechanical crafters could be used to automate any crafting recipe a wrench the crafter's paths can be arranged by the pondered into the chat window again nope don't ponder there god when i hit escape don't take me out of everything just take me back to where i was okay the outputs will be placed oh my goodness this mechanical crafter like does one craft and then craft the next thing down and then crosstalk [Music] and it's like a wall of oh wait a minute hold on you you merge these together and then it's like a three by three recipe that you can automate or something or a five by five look at that animation are you still pondering i'm pondering the mechanical crafters and they have just blown my little mind i'm still only seeing three by three but we can scale that right you can you can go five by five 20 by 20. i'm sure gosh whatever the recipe requires that is cool it scares me it's so cool oh it's automating a pickaxe right now did you see all the little like bits get like added together and stuff yeah yeah i'm watching right now getting at it is cool man it's oh it makes the axe it's like it does like a little it it's the best thing i've ever seen yeah there's like spinnings and shiny particles that's awesome dude okay is that the only way that can't be the only way to make a five by five i i think it might be it says we need a mechanical crafter to make all right crushing wheel all right what's our goal is is it crushing only 21 of them i don't know i don't know it depends it depends what we want to try and do let's talk about what our goal is here do we want it so like um harvesting machines there's like a mechanical saw there's a deployer there's a like a harvester here that i believe harvests crops so we could potentially get like an automated wheat farm going right right so we could um i mean do we want to look at there's a couple ways to do this like look at something we need and make a device that does it or we could look at the technology and make something with it yeah i i don't know um it would be good to have something useful maybe the iron situation would the iron does seem good but that might be pretty advanced uh what's the for the likes of us what what's the thing uh we would need lava but i think we can handle that um what's the what's the thing that breaks blocks do you remember that is called a it told me about it quite early on um i'm i'm um pressure no there's like something you can put in a mechanical drill drill like own blocks and things if we want to break plants we need a harvester right so if we want to do the iron thing it's a mechanical drill and then we have we put the yeah yeah let's let's do this this will be fun okay cool i'm going to get a little bit more wood we need to yeah you know stop picking our noses and and actually knuckle down now serious serious faces okay let's see so mechanical drill we need a lot of andesite like a lot of andesite i'm wondering is there a way to like wash something and get andesite um you can you can try that yeah i mean if there's where's this washer you were talking about how much is that to craft can i can i just type wash no ah there the thing is there's no maybe it's in the fan oh you said it was something about blowing water from a yeah you put a fan pointing into a water source and then things on the other side of that water source can be washed get washed from from yes particles yes and it turns into other things that happen i know i'm i'm i'm pondering the fan technology right now okay ponder it hard man ponder it i'm super pondering that ponder tech by the way is so ponder tech is amazing i know like okay dude we need to get our grinder spinning this fast this is amazing oh man quick as possible i i think we still want to try and maybe look at windmill tech for like other things yeah my my main worry about all this is obviously everything is from rotational power so i don't think we want like a big rotation engine somewhere we want lots of little rotation engines so our base is going to be covered with windmills and water mills and and right furnace it's not it's not like yeah it's not like traditional modded where power can all just be added together and you have this ultimate uber power source right yeah like you actually have to mechanically move the power and merging power together is not a thing or it maybe it is i don't know i think it is much later on though and also for something like a door we don't need much power so a little windmill would do the trick right whereas a crusher might need like a big furnish driven spinny spinny thing okay okay i got something uh do actually puts double the stress on your power source so you'll be able to power half as much so we could arguably like i have no idea how much if we're if we're making way more power than we need or just the right amount or something like that but we could potentially look at doing a big cog to a small cog here if you want just speed these up we we could do would that speed them up then if the big cog was spinning around into a small gear they would go twice as quick yeah so maybe maybe we move this all away just so we have space the big big cogs in the in the chest down there man get them combining things they've done it really well like real redstone where yeah yeah yeah it's amazing they all work together or some of them don't but you've got to figure that out yourself okay i think this will work but now i need more conveyors because now we gotta wash the we have to wash the uh the gravel so we're gonna have to oh with the blowing the the water let's do that what's the maximum on the belt yeah search chain in jei chain uh yeah the chain drives are the things that we actually used one already did we yeah i feel like this is what we need to use more of it's a cleaner way instead of all the gear spam everywhere chains so is that going to work like the conveyors it's the thing we used up here to spin all the drills oh those things well they seem exactly like cogs to me except there's a box instead of not a box but i guess they don't every one adjacent to it doesn't reverse the rotation the rotation remains the same yes yes when you alternate that's the big thing okay well i have a working conveyor now and you have blow-able oh nice all right so we just gotta power this right if we can power this fan here so i'm just gonna throw a water wheel there whatever right yeah i think so in fact i've just thought of a clever way to to make this even cleverer clever up oh no i can't i can't never mind cleverness didn't work oh i know i know thank you evil uh uh uh all right all right uh this is gonna put a quicker quicker little labs something something's busted yeah like gravel isn't flowing anymore did you yeah the conveyor belt you got you got to put the shaft on the conveyor belt there your first conveyor belt is de-shafted oh is that what i broke earlier maybe that's right there there we go now you're good okay now i don't know if this if this grindstone millstone thing is going to be able to keep up probably not so this time we can improve it for later right oh it's really slow wow that's really slow well the conveyor belt the millstone look how fast the cobbles going in and how and how slow the gravel is coming out so we need some way to distribute this and extend it so they can have like 10 millistones working enchantment working in conjunction also if we can figure out some sort of if we could figure out some sort of way of auto harvesting trees and killing skeletons if we could find a skelly spawner and harness that we could get bone mill grow the trees chop the trees burn the wood and then we get an unlimited fuel source which means we could maybe start using like burnable which i'm assuming will be faster and more powerful yeah it's also like very end game too i think i'm not sure end game but certainly maybe later is this so we have to use the pressure plates and everything hang on i gotta watch something is that your bright idea whoops the pressure place there just to hold the water yeah uh okay do that oh you're making a new meal i like it i should really get at least stone tools nah you trying to glass up around the water wheels every time or uh i don't know i just like seeing it so now we put the water source i'm not sure where it goes i think it goes you put another block there you put it right on top and it will flow down around i don't think that's maximum but it'll do well it'll be three i think out of the four i think there's like another i don't know if it's divided into four because technically there's like eight blocks around it right sure but it didn't look like it counted the diagonals how do you know because i saw it on the thing right i mean are you measuring you need the particles asleep let's sleep it's not it's not doing anything it's not doing anything wacky washing i'm getting washed i think i think the item needs to needs to like be held longer i think the thing i built underneath my crusher is called like a a depot or a a depot or whatever you call it that kind of holds the item temporarily i think i think we need to hold the item there for a little while uh oh so we put it into a depot that then goes what if we just have it what if we just do this just have it fall off or just onto the ground for now right i think they need to be on depots to like be processed i don't know what a depot is so i'm gonna just ignore every time you say that word here like if i've got some some what can i wash gravel it does the hot but it does it looks like it hops more but it doesn't it just hops one day cleaning what does the cleaning happen i cleaned it throw some gravel on it look look at this it's going to wash it's going to wash it it takes a while oh my gosh where'd it go the spoon but you can wash a whole stack of gravel at the same time that's the why isn't the other stuff bumping up oh because it's maybe like not the same now we need to get the stuff off with another tunnel funnel we're so close this depot right we can probably go if we if we could spread things and put things all along here look at that water washing all the way along fill me right yeah i don't think that's the right way though probably not but so can we see this thing's fine with the mill is quite slow anyway so the washing probably takes as long but all of these can be like we can we can expand milling milling is the first bottleneck right actually washing is the bottleneck we need to get these gears spinning quicker so if you if you look at if you look at the water wheel and you you w it well i don't i don't think we need to because power isn't our problem it's we need to scale up like more fans and more we're making cobble at plenty rate water wheels go from 8 to 16 revs per minute or rotations per minute in case fans go four uh furnaces go 16 to 32 rpm windmills apparently don't say a flywheel like i want to be able to wash things at the rate we're making the cobble so we maybe we are from the from the thing no we definitely aren't no it's all backing up the mill doesn't keep up with the with the cobble and the washer doesn't keep up with the mill yeah so we're super close but well i'm saying we at least want our washer and our meal at the same level and then we know we can scale up from from there right right i mean i would say first step is we need more mils we need we need to somehow distribute the cobble into multiple mills multi-mill so we probably need like uh like how do you evenly split items up what if you had a shoot underneath a belt ah possibly yeah but then wouldn't it just suck up all the items item transportation right tunnels are how you split but i don't want to have to like i don't want to have to tunnel and branch off like 15 times i want to just have like one belt that you know if the mill is busy if the mill is unused it goes in the first mill if it is busy it goes to the next mill it just just rides right over a million each tunnel but then that requires all this branching right every time you want to expand you have to branch and make a new conveyor belt and stuff and that's no good there's got to be a way to do it with one belt [Music] i'm pondering some things man item transportation pondering there's an answer for this definitely is is very interesting put a fan at the end of the belt but would it oh yeah we have so much to learn there is so much to learn if you guys want to play this mod just google minecraft create mod um it's called create weighted effector put multiple tunnels beside each other and does what you want okay i suppose you could get them lined up so that you have you could do this there check this zed okay combined with brass tunnels ejectors split items what did that just say combined with brass tunnels ejectors split item stacks by specific amounts interesting so we could use tunnels if we want like if this was the main cobble line right the conveyor belt yeah the conveyor belt right and then coming off of that and there were tunnels like those were tunnel blocks and then so each tunnel block had a separate conveyor coming out this way right whisper not or just yet and then and then a mill so so you're you're thinking that multiple tunnels next to each other like talk to each other i don't know i think they're distributors so it's like let one through if the i'm not sure we have to have to science up is it splitting 50 50 or is it like a priority like go right if it can otherwise go left well the thing the thing i just read about a weighted ejector is that very much sounds like what we need where it will split a stack by a certain amount when it's placed next to a tunnel sneaking right click holding an ejector what i think it also looks like it fling it actually throws it it throws it into a very specific place but if you we can combine the next scene like the third scene is something about combined with brass tunnels ejectors can split item stacks by specific amount but how does it it's just gonna always launch we need an item distributor basically yeah a flow of items how do you split them evenly across different conveyor belts or something it looks like if you place these tunnels on top of a belt it splits it into four different directions and that probably works like factorio does do you happen to have another tunnel on you uh i never made a tunnel wha what's this thing is this a funnel oh oh we need tunnels then i think tunnels are splitters basically yeah they call them tunnels they're basically splitters yeah so yeah we need we need a tunnel um i need some healthy okay i have some achieved change the first belt into mills oh oh oh oh i see well so there is this option zed just as a thought i see what you're saying there kimmy yeah come check this out i'm here i'm watching where are you right arguably there's no reason to put them all in one belt we could we could have mit this belt doesn't even need to be here this could all be mills because the cobble is already distributed right i just oh just have it fall right into a mill that's that's the bottleneck don't group it together because the conveyor belt is now bottlenecking it up into one mill we already have it split right and then that scales well but i don't know i i still don't think one mill would keep up with one drill though possibly not but i think you're i think you're trying to why why try and go to the maximum level of the fit like it will be pretty quick with one one mil per cobblestone well obviously like you can speed them up with a thought as well the output of this farm is sometimes you rarely get an iron nugget so well sure so yeah efficiency is is a big deal if this is going to make any kind of real iron we have to we have to like scale it up big you can speed up the mills yes um but that would require so much power that i don't know i mean i guess it's the debate of make one really fast versus have a bunch and i feel like for modularity you don't want to try and keep speeding one up super fast but i don't know maybe possibly i mean once we once we've learned the next like level of power maybe we can we can figure that out ah man there's so much here to process we need to wrap up shortly but we do i think i think we've learned so much even this view i have right there is so much visually cool stuff going on here i think if we break we'll uh we'll process what we've learned and we will we will be able to come back this is awesome this is so awesome i'm just like and and cooler stuff i i just this is amazing uh yeah i still think this is a good first goal though like we're very close to having an iron farm once we have that we can make like a site yeah we could do the tree farm and stuff but i think it's just iron either is it it's like gravel and flint and right well i mean some of that stuff isn't very valuable but you don't know what the mod need later maybe maybe a grind wheel needs flint and something maybe i also feel like we need to start thinking about like where things go and stuff too like you know once once we have an iron farm i'd like to build a building around it so it's not just like random technology spray everywhere you know but like yeah yeah we can have a little iron husk so yeah maybe we do some diggy diggy and flatten out this area off camera or something yeah between streams you mean yeah yeah there's there's a little bit of stuff we can do we learned a lot today trust me yeah next time we will be back with our brains and gear and a plan that is that's my promise yeah this mod is amazing um and i'm i'm super excited to just dive into it there's so much cool stuff to do here and i just feel like a fully functioning cog base is going to be so cool to look at it's it's already so cool yeah i think i think we just we need to learn a lot like adding your new water source but to fuel that thing was a smart idea i think if we come up with a perfect idea it's it's a lot easier like you shouldn't have built this water wheel this rotation you should have built it in the other corners of course and there's no way i need six gears to make this work there's a better way exactly so i think if we figure out like the proper gear placements and stuff we can pack things a lot um yeah these little water wheels are super easy to to go but i think we've already unlocked brass and brass plates we can make furnace engines if we i'm one next time i want to try and work on some auto fuel um do you want to jump that far i think i want to start getting into auto fuel i don't think it's a big jump honestly well what fuel are you thinking i mean a tree farm is a big deal what's a mechanical saw we can already craft three iron plates in an iron i i will say this it is possible to make an automatic tree farm of course with the displacers to plant the uh plant the sapling you can automatically plant the sapling you can push a whole tree over and everything and then run it all through an automatic saw and stuff so it's all possible but it is a big like that's a whole thing that's way more complicated than this the harvesters i'm looking at now are very cool and they you spin them and stuff i don't know i'll have to have a think about it all but that might be my goal for next time is to start working on that okay um but we'll we'll talk we'll talk between we'll have a good plan for next stream but this is this is absolutely insane i love it i love it i love love it yeah ah i need to learn more all right
