The CHEAPEST Motorhome You Can Buy For 2021!

hey everyone i'm matt welcome back to another video today i am super excited we're taking a look at one of the best priced and one of the smallest classy motorhomes on the planet today this is a 2021 coachman freelander model 22xg we are gonna take a look at the outside features first and the inside features then we're gonna give you three things we love about the freelander and three things we don't like about it we're starting in three two one hey everyone again welcome back to another video my name is matt from matt's rv reviews it's world's only channel giving you that true unbiased review about everything when it comes to rvs and again today i am super excited to be taking a look at this 22xg but before i begin i would like to say hi to andrea hey andrea hi everyone how's it going it's going good do you know why i selected this motorhome here no i have no idea you really don't do you really don't because our very first video in our new hou in our house was the 2020 22xg and now that we're leaving that house we're gonna end where we began oh yep yep that's what's the word oh gosh guys i can't even think of it right now because my mind is is is a mess but what's the word you know when you're you're very um starts with an s sentimental yes yes very very sentimental and if you guys haven't heard the announcement we are doing a live stream this friday at 8 p.m eastern at our brand new house april 2nd so make sure you join us andrea let's begin model is 22xg the actual tip length of this motorhome is 24 feet 3 inches now technically this is a 22 xgf because you can also get a 22xgc which is on a chevy 4500 chassis this one is powered on the e series ford e-series chassis 350. now because this is the 2021 it does have the new 7.3 liter godzilla engine 350 horsepower and 468 foot-pounds of torque and then look at these tires andrea they're dyna pros hand cook i love those lt225-75r16 coming on down the side here very simple motor home and simple is the right work because it helps keep the price point down we do have a nice power awning with led lights let's take a look at that we have slides in it oh the arm is stuck come on there you go i like that it's the whole length of the motorhome yes and andrea because this is a coachman motorhome they do use a snail composite what a still is cream-based material and it will never delaminate on you go laminate very nice very nice power awning and the led light strip is right here coming on down the side here you do that solar if you need it right there right over here it's gonna be your propane tanks and andrea all the tank sizes and everything bing will be right there for people who are watching on television you got your water heater right here right over here you have 30 amp power and everything and then this is a propane quick connect if you want to have a grill on the outside and then coming around the back and the bumper for your stinky slinky yes there is no ladder to get up on darn matt i'm i'm sorry for you it's okay we do have a nice bumper to store your stinky slinky 5 000 pound hitch this motorhome can tow 5 000 pounds you do have a backup camera there there is no side cameras smaller cheaper motorhome and i love this feature right here yes awesome and i have a back door with a screen okay very nice and what's great is this actually flips up and look at that it stays by itself no i've got a four of them in here if you need to put down bikes or anything bikes kayaks toys luggage doll crates whatever you want to bring with you you can that is an awesome feature and then right here man you still get really good storage not bad at all right here's where you dump your black and gray tank you do have your fuel phillip right there here's your city water connection 30 amp power club potable water fill potable holdable and then right here is going to be our cord i think yes right there is going to be your own and 4000 generator okay well andrea the outside of this motorhome looks great but the inside looks even better let's go take a look cargo carrying capacity check it out oh it's going to be on the door all right i like this it has no slides okay so it's what you see here is what you get all the time and so as you can see you know it's pretty roomy for having no slides wow 3 176 pounds wow that's pretty good very you can get to the bathroom here and as you can see the bed here is a corner bed yup okay okay we're going to start up here in the cockpit area now again you do have the option the xgf is forward xgc is chevy right we turn on this you got all this modern stuff look at that very nice that way you're able to see behind you you have the radio have a very modern steering wheel very fuel efficient small motor home and everything plenty of cup holders and andre would you like to set my co-captain seat yes okay how's it feel um it's pretty comfortable yeah yeah what's real nice is that there's nothing behind you i like that i can lean back and there's nothing there yes you know stop it um yeah overall it's pretty comfortable not bad not bad at all we gotta bunk over the cab we sure do that bunk over the cab right there you got the tv right there that tv does swivel out and then this the bunk over the cap holds 350 pounds watch the tv there [Music] okay right over here put that there 350 pounds wow very nice have an opening there for a fan fantastic oh no i'm gonna pull this over watch yourself because i know people are going to want to see the tv too late now nope not at all i said it's too late now andrea all right it's hard for us little people okay so you can swivel it like that yes ma'am so nice fury on tv to give you a nice viewing area or like that yep yep whatever yeah that's about as far as it comes out but yeah whatever you choose get the idea and then over here andrea you we do have a j shaped dinette okay you got seat belts right there cupholders there we have some storage right here awesome very nice above it we do have nice cabinetry above nice neutral balances with a huge window right there now here's what's great there's seatbelts there there and there right and you might be wondering what's this cushion for check this out america look at that now you got a u-shaped dinette kind of you betcha oh you see what i did there it did very nice and then this does also now drop down to make a bed probably one of the most least comfortable beds but it's just another extra bed awesome it sure is and then what else is great is this table can come out and you can kind of use it as like a lounge sofa area well andrea it's now time for the msrp ready for this yes msrp has gone up a little bit since last time emma but the whole rv industry has msrp on this freelander here this stock number is ninety three thousand one hundred dollars msrp we have it twenty six percent off that's the lowest we're allowed to advertise it to 69.998 that's pretty good that's fantastic but right there very important and as you can see you have your panels here you guys all right come on and down okay so here we are in the kitchen i'm gonna start with this cabinet up here yes ma'am it's a very good sized cabinet we've got electrical outlet here got a window with the blinds and we got this elevated countertop again yep uh oh look they gave you drawers they sure do that's nice oh i was thinking it was soft clothes no no we got a double sink okay and a cabinet good space for a trash can got another cubby up here yes ma'am microwave okay and a three burner magic chef magic chef with the glass cover and we got another drawer here yes and another one yes wow and this must be your your uh wardrobe wardrobe whatever it's the all-in-one yes and you got another drawer here yes ma'am and over here look at this i'm excited about this look at how big that fridge is big refrigerator especially for a small motor yes that's what i was thinking this looks like uh runs off your propane and shore power uh i'm not yeah yeah i think it does because it has both those yeah yeah yeah you're right you're right very nice and you got a drawer under here yes and matt there's also a seat belt tether here oh car seat tether great for uh belt heather yes oh goodness yes car seat tether very nice all right so okay so into the bedroom we go uh first and foremost i would like to playback here and you know demonstrate it you know really good size and everything again what's real nice is you can close the screen door and so no bugs are gonna get in if you have a nice breeze or whatever i think that's good i mean i think two people could definitely get into this oh yeah bigger than a full but not a queen i can't decide what it is huh and over here on this wall you guys looks like where you could mount a tv oh sorry yep over here is where you would mount the tv yes ma'am and then over here you got your usb you got a your thermostat there your light switches and open that up for you please more storage very nice very nice storage okay and then coming on down come on down i really do like that bad it's awesome it's great multi-purpose okay tight bathroom all right yeah so a little small fit here through the door small shower but definitely doable you know the person who wants this motorhome it's one of those things that we always say if you're in the market for a class b and then you get a class b and you're like oh this is too small this is a great compromise you know yes oh you want to show us the same sure you got the sink here got another cabinet under here yes ma'am and above you got a cabinet for linens perfect okay so this toilet angle i'm thinking if i should go over there but i think i'll be okay right here yeah you know last time you went in the shower yeah but it's too small like even right here the doorway is very narrow but you know what i think when the bed's up the door might be a little bit better right but it doesn't matter because it doesn't matter if the beds up or down or you move it all around this is not a prime poop in position on the ground all right let me see i want to see you with the door closed see look you did the exact same thing last night i just want to see you close the door you see what i'm saying people can see oh nice that's a nice you feel like a sardine in a can i feel like a can and a sardine oh are we locked in no okay well drago wow that's it that's the review thank you obviously everybody so much for watching now before everybody leaves it's now time we give you three things we love about this motorhome and three things we dislike about it andre what do we do first let's do three things we like about it really okay first thing first thing first thing i love how the bed flips up yes that is awesome that is great it's such a nice feature again you can put your bikes your kayaks your toys everything in here and it's still a great size bed that is number one number two i like the refrigerator yes i know it seems silly no but it's a big refrigerator yes yes that's great no you gotta compare everything's relative so compared to other small motor homes like your bees and stuff great size fridge definitely and then i'm gonna do a number three okay i like how you can get a 22 xgf or a 22xgc based off of your preferences not everybody likes ford some people wants the chevy not everybody likes chevy some people like the ford and i like how they give you the option to choose which one works best for you absolutely well andrea that's three things we love about it now it's time for three things we just don't like about this unit you ready for me to go first i'll go first and i'm gonna steal your answer okay just the kitchen area it's lacking countertop i know you have this it is elevated but at least it's not super elevated you know it's just it's just not a great kitchen area but again it's a small small motor home yes that is one number two see how big the sink is yes i love that look at this you ready what if you back there watch one two three three big steps and i'm into this thing my whole point is you can't poop with the door closed you can't pee with the door closed a pair of female um if they eliminate this sink altogether in here it's a pretty nice sized bathroom now look i get it you use the bathroom and then you want to wash your hands right after but it's just as easy getting up and going good point look at this yeah and now i'm washing my hands yeah i think it would make a lot more room in there it just got so cramped in there and actually the shower is not a bad size you know you want my dislike so that's number two and then to wrap it all up with andrea with number three okay so the reason i did this is i wanted to check it out i don't like the placement of this um it's when it comes out i don't know i guess that's okay but i just i don't know i just don't like it just not a fan no i feel like it would have been better up here okay okay i wish they would have them up here where they could swivel out you know i get it all the way over here i get it i understand yeah great point andrea yes well that's it that's the review thank
