It's nice except that counter color, that part looks straight from the 80s!

Is this a class C or B?

Maybe off grid but not really off-road even with all wheel drive. There isn’t much ground clearance here.

[Music] hi my name is wally ballard i'm the factory representative for winnebago motorhomes so today we're going to take a look at the brand new echo from winnebago this is the latest offering in winnebago's ability to deliver an off-the-grid style motorhome the whole idea behind this project was to give you a coach where you could go off the grid for up to seven days and in temperatures as low as 10 degrees starting at the front it's based upon the ford platform this has a 3.5 liter ecoboost engine with the 10-speed automatic transmission at the same time we were doing all this we had it paired with all of ford's driving controls the adaptive crews the lane keep assist the emergency stop as well as a variety of other packages that ford offers there's really not too many options that we didn't take on this vehicle it is only about five inches wider than your typical b van so it still has the small nimble size of a compact coach but with extra insulation now this is a pre-production model so a couple of things you'll notice on it these are not the true wheels it'll have powder coated aluminum wheels on when we get into actual production this is the all-wheel drive platform and in this all-wheel drive platform ford offers multiple modes depending on if you're in the mud or if you're on a snow covered road so but again the idea is to get you off of the uh off of the beaten path running boards on either side and even the running boards include a little tether down there so if you had a bicycle or maybe your favorite yet cooler you can put a security tether through there all of the leading edges are powder coated aluminum something that we're doing at uh at winnebago and it's just gonna be a little bit more durable if we happen to drag a tree limb along the side or get a rock or something like that versus how the typical motorhome has the corners turned on it now just behind the the driver's side you do have the battery compartment this is another one of those things that's just not quite right on this coach normal production will give you one 320 amp lithium battery as well as a 2000 watt inverter and the onan micro quiet generator there are options to do two lithium batteries and then delete the generator so again that's up to the customer how they feel it's going to be best used in their circumstances no matter which one of the battery configurations you choose it does have a second alternator underneath the hood so when we're driving down the road it's always recharging that battery system you have 455 watts of solar up on the roof this coach does use the five gallon cartridge toilet and really the the benefit of this is there's a variety of ways to dump this it doesn't have to go to an rv dump station you can clean that out in a variety of different ways one of the other things that you notice is how thick the compartment doors are they are the exact same thickness as the walls and then when you look at the latches you'll see that they not only turn but then they also tighten the door so if you're going down a dusty road try to try to keep dirt and water out of the coach now all of this area back here is heated again it's insulated and heated you have an outside shower you do have the ability to draw water out of a bucket and this is the dump for your gray tank this 22 this 22a echo carries 50 gallons of fresh water and then it has a 51 gallon gray tank both of those are mounted inside the coach matter of fact 100 of the plumbing is all inside this coach other than the little bits you see here and this area is also heated kind of the star of this motor home is the gear garage on the back you have three-way access you can see there there are tie downs in there but what's really unique about this gear garage versus a lot of other motor homes is this one is heated so if we had food or we have a really nice bicycle we don't want to freeze we whatever temperature setting on the heater is on in the inside it's ducting warm air out into here you also have power plugs so if you had a second freezer back here just a variety of different uses the molle panels on the side they're on both of the side opening doors you could attach like your first aid kit here or this would be a great place with bungee cords for your extension cords items like that there's a couple items back here that actually go on the inside of the coach this is an insulated blanket that goes between the coach and the cab area it's something that we make in-house at winnebago so if we were in really extreme circumstances and wanted to block off the cab area you can just use this you can use this insulated blanket the transit platform does offer five thousand pound towing capacity you can see regular backup monitor one of the other things that winnebago is doing a little bit differently on this is we are adding in the blind spot monitoring just again make it a little bit more secure or make somebody a little more comfortable when they're going down the going down the highway and the third door to access that gear garage again with another molle panel on here and you can see plenty of room for cargo back in the back this uses a smart lp system we're going to assume that you may not always be where you can drive the coach to get lp but there's a variety of places where you can always do a propane cylinder exchange so flexibility of the motorhome then we also give you a a quick connect for your lp that way you just don't have to unhook the bottle if you want to hook your hook your grille in the truma aquago water heater gives us true on demand hot water it's a proven system and we use this in a variety of of different motor homes at winnebago now this is one of two exteriors that you have on the outside you can do this is the verdant there's also one that has a kind of an orangish tint to it you can do either one of those or you can choose to do an entire graphics delete package where it won't have any of the accents on here that's just up to the customer it's all the same it's all the same price right out here in the number one bin you have a very large storage area out here there is an option on this motorhome to do an outside kitchen area which will have a two burner lp stove it'll have a second fridge and then a basin sink out here so again that's an option that the customer can choose to to do choose to add on their motor home there is also an option for those people that would like to delete the electric awning some folks just say hey i would never use that awning so there is an option to uh to delete that and then lastly when we're talking about options there is an optional pop top to do sleeping on the roof so if you had extra place for kids now let's take a look at the inside the first thing you're going to notice is the solid entry door again we're going for the insulation going for the insulation on here and then the metal screen door one of the nice things about the screen door it does have a metal mesh on the outside that way if there's little critters in the park you can also what is unique this will lock up on the inside you can use your key to lock your screen door so if we want if we had our we're airing our coach out nice day have the windows open we can still have the screen door open but we can lock it up now when we go inside you have two passenger seats back here that have three point seat belts at the table this table folds up against the wall just folds flat against the wall again all of our seat belts pass the automotive standard test you can see the dual pane windows have the integrated screen and shade and these actually swing out both driver and passenger seats here will swivel you can see the the booster chairs there's a little bit of a drop off to the cab area so that's why we have the cushions uh this is the mount for the lagoon table it just happens to be in the back part of the coach and it's pretty flexible it can raise as high as countertop height or it could be used as a sitting table you have single burner or single faucet single bowl sink again the dual burner stove but covers down this is usual count usable countertop space all of the cabinet doors have positive latches you have to pull the latch to release it then you can see that a magnet actually holds the cabinet door up so while we're loading our coach just makes it a little easier to to access all of our all of our storage items and everything in the front you have a couple of little cubby holes on either side upper and lower there is an optional tv and entertainment center and that would just go right in the center you're really not giving up any storage space just that little cargo area again you'll find plugs on either side you have power plugs here you have 2 110 you have a 12 volt 2 usb you have the exact same thing on the other side again assuming somebody's maybe got a has to sit here with the lagoon table and uh and do some work all of our gauges and controls are right here this is a brand new system it reads the holding tanks in one degree increments you're seeing our solar controller again we have the 455 watts of solar up on the roof and then the 2000 watt inverter microwave here at the midship part of the coach does have a nice pantry with adjustable shelves again you're seeing the positive positive locks the same with storage under the sink and you do have power plugs located here one of the really unique things on this coach is what we're going to call our dry wet bath we know that most b vans have a typical wet bath in them and you can see the we have our lavy sink mirror we do have a window in here and we have the the toilet the toilet does swivel then we simply grab and rotate the wall and this is where our shower would be so then you can see how the curtain so it's a dry wet bath but it gives you the ability to stand and take a shower curtain in actual production uh this will have the uh the oxygenic shower head again which is a which is a preferred brand now the flex bed system back in the back gives us twin beds on either side or the ability to fill that in and make that into one big bed if we make this into one big bed and we sleep sideways then it's a 60 by 80 queen size bed there's also if we come back here there's a tremendous amount of storage space under the bed you can see that we have drawers that pull that pull out this is that center section that fills in this area here or we can use it at night time kind of as a night as a nightstand you can see the flip up cabinets again you have power plugs on this side you have additional power plugs here roof mounted air conditioner even though we're in a motorhome that's only 23 and a half feet long it is a ducted roof mounted air conditioner you have all of your heating and ac controls here in the mid part of the here in the mid part of the motorhome both of these sides do also lift up underneath this now this mattress is new from winnebago this is our wind sleep system and then it has a cooling foam on top multi layers of foam something we manufacture in-house it sits upon the frolly springs which give you not only support but also air circulation and then you can also see how you can access that same storage area from here so there is uh some hanging it's the same on both sides so you could just hang your stuff in from from here so again we're in a motorhome that's 23 and a half feet long and we have the ability to sleep up to four people we have the ability to carry four people down the road and three-point seat belts you do have the nice big 12-volt compressor driven refrigerator this is one of two different interior one of two different interiors that you have and again this is the brand new echo from winnebago which will be coming to the dealer's lot here very soon thanks for watching our video if you have any questions be sure to drop a comment below or
