I can't welcome to this anti-bullying kicked I'm sorry time hahaha we have prepared a special play before I yeah do this book yeah yeah Oh creepier hey I've been working at it for a long time oh is it about bullying that's exactly what it's about okay okay okay okay I'm gonna be playing a dual role of of the bully and the hero because he is very versatile I will be playing the victim okay oh hey tell the dinosaur yeah is there like the wrong shade of green oh that makes me sad Hank and your teen appointee woohoo I come from a family of to see people oh yeah and your your bad guy and you should go away no don't deserts have any friends oh I'm so sad I'm so lonely I don't have any friends I feel very very negative hmm okay okay now pretend I'm a new person okay okay hey hey yo you incredibly handsome title just like me what is a mean person you stay away from my good friend dunk the dinosaur because he's just the right shade of green and he needs his teeth to eat I mean what's wrong with you people need teeth and also he's a good person and you are a foolish person for Fanny to recognize that clear oh I feel so much better now I'd roll auger feel victimized I feel happy I don't feel lonely I have a friend at thankfully he stood up for me and now the world is a better place be and thank you very much me you thank you thank you thank you very much thank you well thank both of you for that amazing one-act play now now that we've gotten you warmed up and into the mood to see you know for more bullying drama on Monday lotty waved goodbye to her mother bye mom and skip to school she had a new backpack new shoes and new teacher it was gonna be a great year you know how you always have all your new stuff on on the first day of school but oh it begins already when she sat down at her new desk supper behind her said yank what's that smell what smell I'm grande grizzly and I say there's a smell and it's comin from around you Lottie peered inside her desk and sniffed grant grizzly looked at her held his nose and laughed ha ha ha ha Lottie shrank down her seat hmm maybe I do smell she thought and her stomach hurt and her smile slipped do not you do not smell Lottie do not listen to him he's just a cranky bully well when Lottie got home she told her little brother Jerome and her big sister Lily what had happened there's Jerome there's Lily should I tell mrs. Kohlberg lawdy lawdy asked I don't want to be a tattletale Oh grant did was say something Jerome pointed out if he does it again give him a karate chop no no karate chops said Lily frowning and it's not toddling to tell the teacher they know to let her know there's a problem still why don't you try ignoring him first maybe he'll leave you alone ok so his advice is karate chop pers his weight and see if it continues and if not maybe you tell the teacher so Lodi decided to pass on the karate chop idea and try Lily's idea on Tuesday she ignored grant she ignored the hand that swiped Ricky eraser she ignored the foot that kicked the back of her chair all morning she ignored the nasty whispers grant never did anything while the teacher was looking but he didn't leave Lottie alone if anything it got worse she's so stupid she doesn't even know when someone's talking to her he told his friends in the hall then he yelled hey stupid right in ladies face and they're like ok yeah I just love it whatever my dumb friend does lotty stomach hurt huh mine would hurt too her eyes prickled she skipped morning recess and went to the nurse's office but when the nurse asked what's wrong Lottie hmm couldn't say anything later back at home she told Lillian Jerome what happened smack him in the nose Jerome insisted always going for the physical option no no smacking Lilly said I think you should tell the teacher Lottie shook her head what if she thinks I'm a tattletale Lilly side well then why don't you try to be his friend sometimes kids act that way because they don't have friends or you can make a joke out of it Jerome suggested so why he decided to give that a try on Wednesday well mrs. Calvert was talking to a parrot in the hall Lottie smiled at Grant and she asked if he liked baseball whoa okay she offered to lend him a pencil when he didn't have one I'm allergic to ugly Grant replied and you're giving me a rash lottery tried to laugh oh that's that's not funny I'd rather be funny than funny-looking stinko grant replied oh then he knocked all the books off her desk as he went past oh my goodness I want to choke him with a vine of crinkle berries the other case in the room looked up at the noise and they saw grant and looked quickly down again oh they were all scared Lottie stomach hurt I sprinkled shoulders drooped that night Lottie just picked a dinner what's wrong her father asked you're awfully quiet her mother said Lottie tried to smile but burst into tears Lilly and Jerome explained everything that had been happening why didn't you tell us before her mother asked why didn't you tell mrs. Kohlberg tomorrow morning I am calling your teacher her father said if grind bothers you again look him in the eye and to stop keep telling him until he does and make sure that mrs. Kohlberg knows Wow okay Thursday morning mrs. Kolber called Lottie and grant to her desk is there a problem no problem here grand said smiling Lottie was afraid to say anything with grant standing right there the teacher waited and finally said everyone at our school is supposed to feel safe if you don't feel safe you need to tell an adult that's not tattling if you're making other people feel unsafe then you are breaking a school rule understand she looked at Grant and Lottie I got it grant said and headed back to his desk Lottie nodded silently mrs. Kohlberg leaned forward I'll keep an eye out she said so will the other adults Lottie nodded again but she wasn't sure it was going to help because look at that smarmy face I think he thinks he's gonna get away with it but you don't want him to do at lunch after checking to make sure no adults were watching grant swiped lottie's dessert you're so fat you don't need Hank he said stuffing it in his own mouth lottie's knees rattled and her throat was dry but then she remembered her father's advice she looked into her grants face and said I don't like what you're doing leave me alone grant laughed and grabbed her sandwich and grapes how you're gonna stop me he asked and walked away Lottie wasn't hungry anymore anyway look at that cowards nobody's seeing anything you got to be brave like green bear well the second green bear in that skit not the first one who was a bellick bully and Santa for your friends when she told her family would grant had done naturally they were upset you are not fat her mother said he actually looks sort of okay Jerome added I mean for a girl I'll leave your teacher a message again tonight her father said and I'll stop by and see her tomorrow after school did you tell her about this Jerome rolled his eyes what a teacher's gonna do he asked thank you follow her around all day Lodi thought about what your own would said it was true the grant usually left her alone when grown up for watching but grown-ups were dollars around who was suddenly she smiled please don't call or go to school yet she told her father give me a chance to try something first huh what does she have up her sleeve Friday morning Lodi watch grant pushed Lori down she watched him swiped Barney's homework she watched him cut in line and knock Ben's books out of his hands she noticed grant only acted that way when the grown-ups weren't looking so after lunch Lodi AHA found Lori Barney and Ben I saw the grant did you do to get out of there I saw a great did you do did but the third tellers tongue has gotten twisted I saw the grant did to you today and I have an idea she said let's form a club she explained her plan I like this that afternoon when grant grabbed ladies crayons Barney said hey what are you doing yeah said Lori those aren't yours by now everyone including mrs. Kohlberg was watching why because they called it out loud grant turned red and handed the crayons back an afternoon recess when grant grabbed Barney's soccer ball Ben Laden lorry were there they didn't yell they just asked loudly why do you thought he was doing the playground supervisor came over to see what they were talking about and grant came to Paul back what business is it of yours he asked the friends it's Club business they replied on Monday morning mm-hmm school began a little differently mrs. Kohlberg told the class they were skinny math that day there have been some problems at school today so today every class is talking about bullying safety and making everyone feel welcome how do you feel when someone is bullying you she asked sad said Lauri scared lotty whispered sick bernie added lonely angry other kids said and grant hmm was silent could we come up with some rules so that people don't have to feel sad scared sick lonely or angry missus call Burke asked there was a pause then hands flew up hey me me me me me missus Kohlberg wrote all the suggestions on the board and Lahti then piped up and told everyone about the club let's see what was written on the board friends should be welcoming share it be kind and let others play bullies have to ignore them walk away tell them to stop tell a grown-up fight back was put on the board but that was cross odd because that's fighting violence with more violence and that it's not ideal over the next few days other kids at school heard about the club can we join too sure lighting her friends replied everyone's welcome Barney even came up with a great name for the club the bully blockers almost everybody's a member now lottery reported it's nice keeping an eye out for other people things got a whole lot better after that kids spoke up whenever they saw something wrong and reached out to anyone who looked lonely hey do you want to play me sure the adults were watching too at lunchtime at recess in the halls but basically you know the adults can't always be watching so you watch out for each other after a while that big ol grant didn't seem as big and scary one morning he even helped Lonnie when her backpack spilled here's your lunch he said lotty smiled thanks how a few days later Lonnie's skipped to school well I love LA she had new friends a new attitude and the new club it was gonna be a great year the bully bloc was a brilliant idea she wasn't about to tell Jerome that he had given it to her ha ha ha ha so she wanted to keep the news to herself and that was a brilliant solution I thought that the story presented on how to do with bullies yourself yeah I thought that was really good yeah yeah I started Club when you call it them oh wait that names already taken yeah yeah oh we could start like like maybe our old chapter of the bully buckers Club yeah yeah that's good um although I really would love it if it included my name green bear somewhere in that yeah yeah that would be good uh we're gonna have to think about that okay okay oh and I think there's green bear bully black Club okay he likes to be named after him and it's okay cuz he's my friend oh oh hey I hope that you are never playing the big tub and you fight back but not not in the violent way but like it the way where you speak up and and you you speak up for other people and you don't feel sad or lowly you feel strong that's right dr. dinosaur never never play the part of the victim that's right hmm because that's no fun really the full part is me the hero that's true the fun part is always being the hero always be brave and block the bullies in your life kiddo see you next time on kid time sorry time
