The Bizarre World of The Sims 2: Castaway

howdy hell everyone and welcome back to the Sims ugab Booga and welcome back to the Sims aho and welcome back to the Sims today we return to the Bizarro world the seamy underbelly of the weird Sims console ports for Sims 2 Cast Away a standalone game about Landing a bunch of Sims on a survival island to gather food construct shelter discover secrets and ultimately befriend the island life to construct a new civilization on the tropical Shores originally I was going to set out to play this game as a solo colonist hitting alone against the elements But ultimately I decided it would be an even greater challenge to Embark upon the survival Mission as a neckbeard stranded alone on the tropical island so I embarked upon my adventure survival of the fittest neck beard Edition all right start new game before we do anything else we have to design our crew which is going to be just me I am alone body survival demands flesh so starting out with more body fat will have more to burn through as we progress on the island and we'll give our protagonist thick luscious legs okay on to head morphing again we're going for rotund and we'll make his nose a beak so that he fits in with the birds on the island that looks just about right and we just have no jawline or facial structure whatsoever all to blend in with the trees and I think for hairstyle we'll just stick with this um lack of a hairstyle oh hats there are many to select from but I think this bucket hat we need glasses all the better to see with what about a gold monacle of course yes face tattoos I like how the section on face tattoos just doesn't have any face tattoos what a tease and then for facial hair we could go full neck beard we could go with this super villain look he has eyebrows on his eyebrows but honestly I think that this mustache looks M yep that's our man okay and maybe some tan pants to protect his delicate calves from the Sun sensual and full of Flesh this game is about survival no shoes are allowed all right meet our protagonist we'll go with um why don't we name him something ambitious like Xerxes okay meet Xerxes monkey slapper there he is Xerxes Mony I can't even say it Xerxes monkey slapper I love how he's posing in the area where there's supposed to be more than one NPC but it's it's just him standing there like looking expectantly as if someone else should be in the shot it's okay Xerxes we love you very much we're all rooting for you all right let's begin okay so I guess these are like the photos of his voyage he was just singing to no one oh there he goes That's the face of danger little do the monkeys know I am the danger all right we've spawned in on the island as xer monke I still can't say it why did I name him that Xerxes monkey slapper all right our Sim has Shipwrecked learn to survive find our way home all right we need to be goal oriented Lost Books on the island will tell us what to do okay so it's basic Sims for you right here except we're eating like coconuts off the ground we have our sleep need and we have our hunger need hey everybody future AA here as it turns out I've actually had to restart the playthrough with a bunch of different characters because I've learned that the game is literally unplayable if it's just me so without betraying the spirit of the challenge I've created just five versions of exactly the same man all named Xerxes monkey slapper the first Xerxes monkey slapper the second Xerxes monkey slapper the thir Xerxes monkey slapper the fourth and of course Xerxes monkey slapper the 5th as well as Mady they're all just five variations of exactly the same guy with different neck beards we do we do look admittedly Amish all right let the real Adventure begin now at last there you go now you're not so lonely anymore Xerxes look at them all panicking oh no all right at long last we can begin our journey for real this time oh alas stranded and alone am I wherefore hath gone my comrades how shall I win the heart of Mady from my rival neck beard suitors all right first things first we have to collect some Driftwood on the beach to begin constructing a fortress to live in looks like our hunger isn't doing too well right here either so we will just okay we'll just commence glot Goblin and massive hoarding then I suppose and then just eat things off the ground all right not even one day has gone by and we've already managed to fill up our entire hunger meter I guess we can light the beacons to Signal the other neck beards with this campfire to begin good job Xerxes you'll locate your friends in no time at this rate let's just light a fire so that we don't die of exposure on this beach bladder is the real confusion all right we've got a fire up and running now we can start on a workbench with uh these two rocks I suppose let's just use this Driftwood and okay I think we need to venture Inland to get some more materials and locate Mady all right with that we have enough to make a bamboo spear that lets us spear for fish oh we finally caught one okay our first victory in a Feast oh look we're already improving in our cooking skill 50 hunger 8 energy and minus 7 bladder looks tasty and well prepared Don't Step Into the Fire it's okay we just need to take a nap and get some rest before okay and the frame rate has died and my eyes are bleeding at least we made it through the first night all right xerx he's up and atam the early bird gets the worm which might not be that inaccurate right here you probably will eat worms today so let's go Inland yeah and howdy H we've arrived Out of the Woods into the the midst of the Jungle and our clothes are utterly destroyed that didn't take very long at all okay I am alone in the woods eating a banana the things a man has to do when he is alone and he can't find a lady well the sun is rising and my optimism has grown let's make our way to the beach again we have found a shipwreck by Lord Reginald sticky Wick who has a fine mustache more goals for our Sim marvelous only 24 hours in and we've already uncover ancient Treasures tiki torches and a giant shipwreck site it's almost as if we're on a movie set just going to keep collecting all these pieces of drift wood and sticking them up my butt o at last another living organism a monkey I'm going to slap him oh we could give him a banana all right I Come in Peace Monkey all right my this is my social so this is what it is all devolved into I can literally chatting get from what does that one mean get from Chimp all right let's chat start with some good ugab Booga I've made my first friend oh no he's beginning to grow upset respawned oh look another has come over oh great oh I have 16 relationship with the first monkey okay I will continue with the second one here I have a banan let's just continue gifting them bananas this is their love language they love that they love it when I give them my bananas take them take them be my servants I will be the monkey Lord they see a man with a neck beard and they know they must obey after all monkeys themselves sort of have neck beards in a sense let me keep interrupting their conversations to gift them bananas here you go buddy yeah yeah take it that's from me there'll be more where that came from I guess I should start naming them to differentiate them they're speaking in either pictographs or English oh I'm changing I guess I'm changing into my monkey apparel this is my entire social life is just talking to a bunch of monkeys and handing them bananas I guess these are my only friends now though this is basically an entourage on a desert island honestly if that's our whole life here not so bad yet another day has passed the second day of survival we've befriended monkeys we have been generous with our bananas all for a peaceful night of sleep under the stars although honestly as the urgency of survival begins to disappear now we need to elevate our life with lavish surroundings I admired in wealth gaze upon my TIY torch and despair that you will never possess such levels of wealth as I that is important cuz uh now we apparently we have a a room like meter where we need to enjoy the area around us and it is pretty uh it is pretty terrible right here to be honest ooh look at this clothing PL shirts we are able to make a chimp a chimp magnet shirt oh my God all right perhaps this will improve our social relations we've made clothing uh we can go in and wear it let's do that all right now we can swap out from our hobo shirt to our Leaf shirt yay woo I a reformed individual now they will accept me and greet me as one of their own there they are now I will offer them more bananas I I guess that's really the only interaction here I mean there's there's nothing else to do on this island oh they're hugging now don't do that that's probably not a good idea okay we're friends all right yeah hug it finally maybe they'll lead me back to my comrades in Mady of all this I know one thing it is a man's lot in life to provide and even though sometimes I must suffer the indignities of having to eat my own banana I'll know at the very least by the end of the night that I provided shelter for my family that's right we finally got a shelter going now we've got a rooftop over our heads and now we can um cajo the monkeys into indentured servitude indefinitely and I can sleep soundly at night at last in my wooden bed already less than one week on the island and we've already reasserted our dominance through capitalistic subjugation of another species let's go all right despite all of this talk of ruling the island it seems we can craft our own raft here from the what appears to be a pier on the the edge of the island although we will require mechanical skill level two which we just don't have yet we're going to need to improve let the Quest for self-improvement begin all right we need to improve our mechanical skills so let's start by crafting an axe I am improving I have created a sofa out of some sticks skilled in mechanical Mi At Last I have achieved mechanical level two all from the thrilling construction of my sea side Hut I accidentally burned down the the last one but we'll just forget about that for now that's all enough to construct a raft now and cross my way over to the second island yeah that's totally how you make a raft just yep I've never seen it done better than that before Oh God that is a pretty good raft to be totally honest with you I don't have enough energy okay I guess I need to take a nap before I cross the ocean honestly not a bad idea that is a rather long cross in over tropical potentially shark infested waters to be on that vehicle for a number of hours in the middle of the night on a dark open body of water okay I think we can finally make our way to the second island now yeah I trust that totally good job Xerxes you'll meet your clones in Mady in no time at this rate okay we've found the log of the final voyage of beard beard wait really beard okay beard Beard the pirate I have more gos now oh and dear God Almighty I have located my brother Zer sees the this is I think xer sees monkey slapper II I believe who can really see brother brother we are reunited celebration and gladness greet a new crew mate done with the crew back together things should be easy why is the tool tip a death Resurrection potion I feel like that kind of cast a cloud on our reunion don't you think uh at least I'll be able to bring him back okay and it's met with hygiene yes neck beards together smell great all right do we need to like uh bring him into our fold let's just be nice I will admire him this is like that kind of social awkwardness that manifests just who they are all right I can't seem to do anything I guess we need to set up another home here but at least we have another guy that will be roaming in and out of our lives so that I have someone to socialize with besides just the monkeys because I am beginning to go a little crazy from lack of socializing even as a neck beard I am the only Mustachio Xerxes after all so to kind of zoom out we started off at the Shipwreck Island and now we've made our way to the airplane Island but what lay Inland I guess there's only one way to find out airplane jungle okay a totally normal theme for a jungle all right I guess I could have told you that one was coming all right playing music though uh surprisingly this does work okay this will will meet our entertainment need I suppose yes it is great before I was literally staring at a fire like a burning fire in order to improve my entertainment meter okay time to find the rest of the crew let's just go into an unidentified dark cave without a light source okay A little rustic but quaint oh there he is brother you've wandered in here a little uh ominous honestly where are the other crew members I have a feeling no I don't think cannibal it no that won't be probably not oh I see so like he travels around the island as well good luck there uh I suppose we're supposed to be climbing somehow nope he's just abandoned me in a cave all right very well then okay we're exploring up this sheer rock face good job Xerxes just make your way out of the cave okay and look another of my why are you just walking by me all nonchalant we both crashed here now you're just staring ing the opposite direction as if I'm not even here that was such an aggressive way of turning around and then a total personality 180 all right I think this is xery's monkey look he's so nonchalant and cool and aloof I really do admire that I wish I didn't get so easily attached sometimes it comes back and hurts me all right well at least now I know where you are although you don't really like you think you're too cool to hang Without Me At Last I have convinced Xerxes monkey slapper the second to join the settlement now the only thing left to do is try to get uh Xerxes monkey slapper III away from the monkeys uh and to join the settlement no please don't go away please please I finally have friends come on xeres okay good he's distracted by the monkey with the juggling all right and just when you least expect it I will jump out from the dark and convince you to join me that's right just face my direction and be convinced well that didn't work and howdy ho one on an island well honestly two islands and we made one friend and got him to join our settlement but I'm I'm still alone because there's just not enough people for the uh settlement I'm sure he'll be back sooner or later though reunited with the tribe of the rest of the Xerxes monkey slappers well I genuinely don't know what happens from here because I uh this is my first time playing this game so I think I'll just leave it there on an awkward Cliffhanger anyway I've wanted to come back and explore these uh these bizarre Sim spin-offs especially the ones I haven't played all starting with the herbs and leading up to here but here we find ourselves stranded on a desert island once again what lay in store and will I ever earn the heart of Mady all this and more anyway I I think that's about it for now as always I'm
