I've gone I want to say but I can't say that what can I say this no you can say deep we're still rolling Mar's gone yeah you can I've gone deep into the Toyota's people whates mean I thought it meant like when you um you know sometimes when you are playing golf and you hit it all the way cuz I remember and and then like and you're saying to the person who works there like how far did you go and he's like I got to go you hit it like deep into the Baseline it's a deep ballsh I also wasn't sure if it meant you know I I can't remember what it's called but that move where you get I thought that's like I don't know if that's actually a thing anyway that's guaranteed to happen if you own a crown that's right people we've finally got our hands on a Crown in a very very strange way but as you can see our gold Toyota is actually one of my favorite cars that we ever done oh no we're going for it man we're just beeping that thing you said oh we're already in trouble um we get we basically have been SE into the Toyota since the Camry which is one of the best cars professional we should do we should do it it's not professional so this is a crown maesta it is gold we got it from overseas it was cheap how cheap all right let's show you some features of the car chances are if you were a VIP rolling around Tokyo in 2011 your driver was picking you up in one of these a Toyota Crown but it's no ordinary Crown this one is made for a king because it is a majesta it is a full-size luxury and shares a lot of its underpinnings with various Lexus cars this is the fifth generation maesta made since the early '90s and Toyota threw the entire book of electronic gadgets at it there are various trim levels ours being one of the top of the line with the most luxurious rear seating setup wait till you see what's under here you mad Legends look at that it's a big plastic cover but it's what it says on the plastic cover and what is underneath the plastic cover that makes this pretty special it's got a 4.8 L V8 with toy like it's reasonably modern it's got the direct injection stuff going on it's got an 8-speed automatic gearbox it's actually a really good one as well and these things Drive amazingly well like look at that for the money I can't even believe how Day do you know where that engine is sending its power see here do you know where it's going to there to the back now what would a car like this cost 4.8 L V8 J M rear wheeel drive tell them the price $33,750 Australian in Japan that's what it was paid at the auction to own this did you say $3,700 $3,700 what is $3,700 Australian dollar as us doll that would be $ 24555 2 half Grand US for a V8 rear wheel drive 8-speed automatic car that's less than 15 years old and has more features than just about any car I've ever seen in my life which we are going to show you which will blow your butthole into so many different dimensions that you will be in the Multiverse your middle name will be Multiverse butthole Zuckerberg um you know what this is and we're just going to say it the best value JDM car absolutely you can buy hands down name me a better one wrong wrong y too expensive front wheeel drive small too small yep junk actually that's kind of cool but still expensive we're not actually saying anything though oh it's what we're imagining they oh that's what they're thinking wrong anyway inside this car you're about to see things you didn't know could exist why was it cheap though I know that's the question that's the next question why was it so cheap champagne showers the color yep that's it it's just the color same as the gold Camry we had was kind of cheap but that was more expensive than this car actually that was ugly gold this is not exactly the same color but close the color makes it cheap Martin what's the difference between you're Apple watch in this car nothing they're both crowns got crowns oh yeah this is also be careful calling something like this a majesta you have to call it a crown Crown people as you will learn are very odd you know what I I mentioned these recently on my Cora build I was doing a COR and I mentioned that the people that own crowns are special they are the most special of all was my late grandfather he had a Toyota Crown a mid 80s W bur from the back seats you could control the stereo and the air conditioning in the ' 80s I felt really bad because he used to be listening to a song and then in the back I would like press a little button and change it and as a really little kid I thought it was really cheeky and he's like what's wrong with the radio and then I found out later on that he'd actually taken it back to Toyota like old older gentleman do and said I think there's something wrong with it and I just I felt so bad and then of course I went oh that was just me being a I'm so sorry um anyway I actually soft spots I've got a crown for them Crown the soft spot you you know what it means to Crown that's when the baby's head is coming out Oh I thought it was when you no eat lots of Kebabs and then no as it's what the ke's cring is that what it is what is going on um everyone come and have a look inside this is notice that this is one of the few cars that to show off just how awesome it is you don't open the front door the all the action in this car like many of his niss is in the back like check this out now this car is basically designed for carrying around CEOs and VIP so I just want to give you a little taste of what that experience is like back here now of course being a kind of a limousine situation there may not be somebody in that seat in front of you so you can move that forward now there's buttons here which means the driver can access it or from back here you have access for those controls as well so once you move that forward you might say hey I'd like to get my legs up so over here here on this space station control panel just underneath the heated and cooled seat control now this is going up for my legs amazing I can put my headrest up a little bit like that and then let's just go back look at that we're just we're just [Music] so the first one we can lift this up you've got a little panel down here that I gather is for all of your cash over here you can press this in and you've got this panel here that I guess is made for uh activities and then underneath this you can lift that one there up and down here you've got power you've got cigarette lighter adapter and you've got controls for plugging in audio but people we're only just beginning to get to the exciting stuff because back here you've got a little button here this is where things start getting exciting we press that inside there you've got a little hidey hole but what happens when you grab this latch have a little look at this as I put my finger on here and pull this open that is a fridge people so that's where you keep your mad little drinks or your your beers or your 100 lemons or whatever it is that you're drinking so that goes in there then when you want to get out again as I go to open the door what happens is this is resetting so there's room to get out and being a limousine situation instead of the door just opening to here or here look how wide it goes and when you get in the car and they close it it's got a soft close because you don't want all of those crazy noises when you're busy doing meetings so all you need to do is pull this closed let it click once and then look at this it'll just go and it's closed itself can you believe that you get this much car for about $35,000 but this is only just the beginning people check out these amazing features now the only thing that can make owning a crown a little bit disappointing is being the driver because actually all the action as you saw is in the back seat that's what these are made for but considering what the point of the car is which is to be like VIP transport it's actually really nice up here you've got a really really comfortable seat you also have the air cooled seat which is one of my favorite features on a car especially a car that's this old you might see it today on cars that come out new luxury ones but this is like 2008 or 9 or something you've also got heating as well so you can choose you got eco mode Sports snow you can change the height have we mentioned yet that this thing has Factory airbags which is freaking amazing it's why the ride is so comfortable you've also got a shade control up here at the back where you can change the shade on the back window it also activates when you put it in reverse it automatically drops that's so the VIP in the back doesn't get sunburn on the back of their head and get too overheated um engine start stop Button as well you've got a CD player that's hidden hidden under here you've got auxiliaries now one thing that's not great in these is that this entire setup is all entirely in Japanese and completely useless radio doesn't work you can probably get a CD to work but not much else they also come with TVs um the other thing on this specific model which is one of the only things that goes wrong with them is that these wood fake wood panel trim stuff does flake off but there are people in the aftermarket world who are making replacements for that you can also wrap them and paint them and fix them and whatever else but as long as you're happy with that some of the other features you've got when you do hit start steering wheel automatically retracts and then extends itself back to your seating position you've got all your seat controls here as well Lumber support front back completely electronic then you can fold the mirrors in and do all the normal Japanese stuff you can also move the seat from up here to fold it back forward again forever reason if you need to so you do have some control over the person in the back even though they are generally calling the shots screen comes up here to clock all the usual stuff hiy holes drink holders and a massive storage container in here as well so inside not a bad place to be what's it like to drive well we'll show you but uh you only thing missing is a traditional handbrake you've got one of these like pull handbrake things like that to disengage it and foot to turn it on then you've got just brake normal Auto setup and a really really nice 8-speed automatic gearbox so before we jump in our freshly Imported Car we are going to sort out our insurance all our cars are covered with Shannon's Insurance uh they have a lot of staff there who are very knowledgeable with the kind of cars that we are into which is great it helps you kind of work with them to uh sort out an agreed value cuz obviously depending how rare it depending what modifications it has depending on the condition that is going to change the value of the car so going to organize a comprehensive insurance probably like moderate usage couple of times a month get our comprehensive and get on the road all right people it's time to take this Majestic vehicle for a drive to see exactly what it is that we've got you are coming with us we're going to go get a kebab and I'm going to rock paper scissors cars don't they run like the premium you know I don't know but I'm going to move that forward a little bit because I'm ready to get comfortable and now what I'm going to do is I'm going to lift up look at that I'm going to lift up my little leg thing going in here like this and then I'm about to feel the raw of V8 power M we're in Sydney traffic which means it's not that usable it is smooth though how quiet and how smooth is this but I fully agree with people that talk about crowns when they say the the punish of a crown is that you don't get to experience it cuz you're D it but actually you're experiencing the best of the crown right there aren't you yes I get the V8 under my accelerator pedal which is excellent Y which I'll demonstrate now oh man it's quick yeah it's fast 4.6 L right like that's not nothing it's actually fast yeah did we say before 4.8 L or 4.6 L I don't know it's a 4.6 apparently is it we might have said it wrong before R FS e I think is the actual engine code but it's like it's actually pretty modern and it is like like one u z and 3 U Zs it's like the next generation of that but it is supremely smooth it's in eco mode so it's like sits at 1500 RPM and just sort of sits there on the highway this is precisely what this car is made to do can you believe that this costs less than the average price of a Corolla from the same Euro it does can you believe it all and look what you get you get so much car man this is the whole thing with Imports right like if you're prepared to pay the price to get it here in a bit of tax and whatever you can have this or a Corolla there's speakers in the back of your seat on other side like here and here yeah it's cool he would you like a little uh icy cold Tipple M do you mean out of our built-in fridge yes because um we got a couple little treaties here in the built-in fridge mutton so good do Camry have built-in fridges I don't what we got Lem full JDM off the shelf aragato Taxi in the here you go M I'm going to give you a a nund Sante what do you call it in Japan oh it's a good day no I remember once when I was in Japan when I was really young and someone was saying nund nund I think it means it's comfortable we know it's cheap we know it's V8 we know it is supremely equipped with technological advancements but there is one more thing that we need to check canot skid [Applause] [Music] best $400 I've ever spent Y is that enough money mate um50 160 210 220 240 yeah that'll do Toyota Crown majesta what an absolute weap a weapon a V8 JDM classy flushy excellent limousine not only does it do excellent skids this is a car that you can buy from Japan for under $4,000 what else can you get for that money what can you get there's there's other Toyotas but I don't know if they're as good as this they're not as cool as this and people we've got a couple of spicy little Umami mods that are on the way for this that we think will just make it the edame of The Bean world need heaps you don't need to go over the top on a car like this there's a few tasty things that we got in mind to make this thing absolutely perfect a little little MSG Mar absolutely natural MSG you know seaweeds got natural MSG we got crushed up fish little extra flavor it's it's like those the little um fish flake things on the top of soups and and you put them onami and the fish they make that from is the ones that eat the stuff off your feet so you are eating your feet when you get that nice is that true I don't know I made it up Martin I didn't know that now you might be looking and going look it looks like the end of the video but there's still a little bit of stuff going on this video didn't really exactly go to plan and we don't usually show you guys this stuff but we thought um we wanted to keep the narrative direct what's you talking about no we we wanted to keep the story tight right but what actually happened is not exactly what you saw and so we decided to show you what actually and they're completely buried cuz it's a V8 and they put it like in there so you can't even get to it to test it it's kind of like when they stop working you just got to rip them out that cheeky so that starter motor is what got in the way of us doing skid straight away so with the starter motor you obviously have your negative and your positive the negative is Earth to the engine block which goes up to your battery to complete the circuit normally so assume that's now your Earth through your engine block and your battery this is your power this would normally be switched so when you do that you should hear some whizzing it should be turning around and that little thing in there is what engages the motor to actually move out so move that Cog out which grabs onto your flywheel so in our case pretty sure the start is totally dead it's just doing nothing you put it on there it should be whizzing you can see it's sparking which means there's like something going on but I have a feeling this is completely seized you can rebuild them like rebuilding is actually a thing uh but again these days these parts are pretty cheap and this is a Lexus part yeah so well that one there's going to go in the B we already ordered another one and so put that in and then we'll be back to our skids hopefully so I know this is coming at a weird time of the video because I just got in the back of the car and then we drove off and did skids but for anyone that stayed on now you're getting the little behind the scenes of what happened in between me sitting in the back and the skids
