THE BEST THRIFT BOOK SHOP! I Love Goodwill so Shop for Used Books with me!

i'm back at it again with our favorite style of videos which is shopping for used books and i'm actually here at a goodwill this goodwill is specifically one that has only books so it's pretty impressive i've been here a couple times it's a little far out of my way but definitely worth it and i'm not gonna lie i don't necessarily have goals for shopping today i'm just kind of browsing so we'll see if i find anything i'm sure i'll find something because let's face it i love goodwills i think they're amazing for books especially if you find books you want because they're always so cheap so let's just go ahead and head inside and see what we find [Music] okay let's see is there any particular organization here [Music] i see that there's [Music] alphabetical order other looking books ten cents at one point can you believe [Music] that see they've got hardbacks over here and a bunch of paperbacks back here oh yeah it looks alphabetical that's how it's ordered [Music] [Music] so [Music] lots of james patterson it looks like the quickie this whole shelf is [Music] wow [Music] and genora roberts blood and bone [Music] [Music] okay first things first also side note before we get into the book haul i don't know if i'm gonna include audio in this video i might just have to voice it over or just put music in the background because they had a radio going on really loud in the background so i was talking through some of the footage but they were playing like music which i'd get copyrighted for so i was kind of bummed so there's not going to be a ton of talking probably in this video i don't know we'll see what happens when i get to editing [Music] no taki they did have a decent amount of selection however i felt they were a little picked over but i did find some books that i picked up i picked up five books in total and it cost me 10.95 so they were like two bucks a piece and i got a couple hardbacks here and it looks like i even saved 50 cents on some of the books that i picked out so some of them were 1.49 i wonder which ones those were oh i think it was these two because the white labels wow okay and these two are actually the ones i'm pretty excited about finding these are classics i've been wanting to read jurassic park and then we have the lost world so both of these are from michael crichton obviously these are very famous books and i just really like these paperback editions as i smack myself in the face with them so they look pretty good i kind of tried to sniff them in the store through my mask because that's the thing when you buy used books you have to make sure you're not buying them from like smokers houses so i will wipe these down when i get home but i picked up these two and yeah i'm super excited about those the next thing that i picked up which was 1.99 is the red dragon from thomas harris now at home i do have silence of the lambs so this is the one that comes before it and i have paperback editions i did see that they had ball or hannibal rising i forget which one in hardback but since i have them in paperback i'm trying to keep them paperback so i'm excited that i found this one it popped out obviously because it's just bright red and i'll go ahead and try and read the first two and then we'll see if i decide to move into the other two or the other one i am curious because i've definitely seen the movies actually silence of the lands is one of my favorite movies it's pretty dark and twisted and with books i tend to get more into them than the movie so we'll see if i can handle them which is why i'm going to try the first two and see how it goes but yeah that's the second book that i picked up next i got this book which is a hardback it was 2.99 is that actually how much i paid for it though yes i paid 2.99 and it is a thousand splendid sons this is from the author of the kite runner and i haven't read any books from khaled hosseini i think that's how you pronounce his name the kite runner is actually on my tbr and i wasn't intending to pick this up but then i checked it out on goodreads in the store and it had like over a million reviews and it was highly rated so i thought maybe i could try this book first and make my way over to the kite runner but yeah i am curious this is about content matter i've never read anything about i believe it's based in afghanistan so yeah we'll see how this goes i like to read books about different areas and lifestyles and experiences i think they're very eye-opening then this last book was kind of a impulse buy and i just kind of grabbed it because it was just really cool they had this whole section in this goodwill that had like books that were leather bound or had just really old bindings that look cool if you're into that type of aesthetic and i saw this one it's a growlier classic so this actually has a couple different books and it has don quixote plutarch's lives the republic by plato and canterbury tales so i know about canterbury tales and i know about don quixote don quixote is essentially why i grabbed this book and so the inside was also really really pretty so not only did i just really like the binding of this and it does have a couple stories and i do want to read but i opened it up and i was like wow that's really pretty surprise surprise so oh it even has illustrations i love when you find books like this and this is 1.99 like you really can't beat it it says 2.99 sorry i got mixed up there it was 2.99 but still for three bucks i i really felt like i couldn't go wrong so those are the books i picked up sorry if it was a little bit of a shorter vlog i just wanted to do this goodwill specifically since it is complete books and like i said i've been here a couple times and was really impressed by their selection i come here i don't know if i'd say regularly but i come here every couple months because obviously they go get more books in stock that's some good reading material have
