The Best Hose Clamp Pliers!!

all right real quick you got to get this hose clamp off what Pliers are you going to use tell me real fast what are you gonna grab some of these regular old pliers again they'll get the job done and have a tendency to slip they don't lock and this handle is super slippery it's slipping my hand right now all right so I know your answer it's needle nose it's got to be right these are the guys these are the guys you grab but these don't always work either yes I got a good grip but it's hard to get torque on this thing as I squeeze down you just don't have really good leverage with this but we got an answer for all this these guys have you ever seen these before I bet you haven't well guess what this is the tool you didn't know you needed until today what's up guys thanks so much for stopping by the garage today I'm Brandon this is Extreme daily drivers and today we're going to be reviewing these awesome locking hose clamp pliers these things are awesome 9.99 link down description got them off Amazon and dude I didn't know I needed these until I said you know what 10 bucks I'll give them a shot and they are Game Changer they are totally awesome so um I think they come in different sizes this is kind of the regular medium size I think this is plenty for most applications but what's really cool about these is not only do they open pretty darn wide I mean this hose clamp that I was using as a example earlier can easily fit in between the jaws of these pliers but what's Super Rad is that you have one end here can you guys see that it's slotted you see that and then the other end is like a cup and it's designed purposely for that because you take your your slotted end slide it into the clasp of the uh clamp and then close this one down and you hear that noise because it's ratcheting and the reason it's ratcheting is because it actually locks into place check that out I have no pressure on that at all it's locked into place I was easily able to remove this clamp all right guys so let me give you a better demonstration of this once again you can see the channel top there and then the disc cup bottom slip it on click it automatically ratchets pull it right off and again I'm not even doing anything that's just holding it down this is an older tube I might add too you can tell it's flared out which means it's it's wider here than where it's been clamped but to reinstall you don't need Lube or anything like that super easy and then the release I hold it tight and then hit the button boom comes right off so this is pretty easy to do when I'm sitting here in my workbench and I got the pliers on one hand and all this space but were these really come in handy is when you're in the engine bay so this is what I'm talking about man when you're here in the engine bay and you got that hose clamp all the way down in there you can barely reach it that's when these guys really come in handy they're really easy to maneuver with just one hand you don't need two hands you don't need to be like a guitar player or anything like that to make this work go in there with a wide open like this grab them lock them wiggle it around and you go ahead and get that clamp right off so yeah for years I've been using this guy and it's a decent tool and it has that nice Long Reach and it'll get to some things that other other Edge won't but the problem is is that the Jaws are not only too narrow they just don't open wide enough this thing has been a game changer I've had it now for about two months and for 10 bucks dude you cannot go wrong with this totally worth adding to Your Arsenal it's going to get 99 of the hose clamps and it gets them just super easily man that's the whole thing it's so it just makes it so much easier I don't know about you but hose clamps have been an issue for me I've had all sorts of issues over the years with them having something like this just makes it so much easier so there you have it guys hose clamp pliers get yourself a pair there's a link down in the description it isn't an affiliate link it does help the channel if you click on it I get a little bit of a kickback from Amazon 10 bucks treat yourself to one of these put it on your wish list get one for Christmas get one for your birthday just get one because I'm telling you it'll make your life a lot easier in the garage thanks so much for watching if you did like this video please hit that like button and if you're not subscribed please do so it doesn't cost you anything and it really helps the channel that's it for today guys we'll see you next week thanks for watching
