hey how's it going guys jack and Matt here with the toaster Bros and we have a long awaited video this is the top Amazon keyboards under 30. we went on Amazon and basically looked up gaming keyboard and found some very interesting keyboards that are either best sellers or ones that we think are hidden gems that no one's really talking about and we're going to round them up today we're gonna do a typing test we're gonna see if the build quality is good and uh determine whether or not you should buy one of these gaming keyboards but before we do that let's hear more from today's sponsor today's video is brought to you by our friends at Cooler Master and they're super cool vsfx 1300 watt power supply that is built with quality in mind featuring 100 Japanese capacitors ATX 3.0 support for the gift card big thanks again to Cooler Master for sponsoring today's video now let's get into the video so one of the reasons we love shopping on Amazon for keyboards is if you're spending thirty dollars at somewhere like Best Buy or Walmart or Office Max whatever you're gonna usually get a membrane keyboard that's not going to be good it's going to be name brand from a company like Logitech or something like that but it's gonna be membranes can be pretty bad we can usually find some pretty good keyboards that will have really off-brand branding they'll have misspellings the keyboard won't even be what's in the box half the time but they are hidden gems and a lot of times they should be worth way more than they're selling them for yeah all of these keyboards as far as I know are mechanical keyboards there are sometimes we bought mechanical and it ended up being mechanical but all of these for under 30 are mechanical keyboards with either a linear switch or some sort of blue switch so what we're going to do is go in order of what we purchased talk about the price of the item that we purchased and decide whether or not it's some something you should buy so let's just get into it so first up we have the bengu v610 keyboard and you said that was 25 I believe 24.29 24 29 that's a that's a price but this keyboard is a 60 I believe yeah it looks like a 60 we don't have any arrow keys or anything and it's very uh layered so we have to use function to get to the top and everything but as far as the bat goes I was creating this a little bit it's an ergonomic design ergonomics the Universal Design for left and right hands that's that is something and also I'm a little worried because it says floating keycap design mechanical feel it's supposed to be a blue switch the Amazon listing says blue switch but we will see yeah a lot of times everybody say mechanical feel it's usually just membrane and they say it's memcam but really it's not it's just membrane okay so uh yeah and it says it's a small keyboard oh yeah that's that's cool that's crunchy so in the Box we literally just get the keyboard no keycap puller or anything which most people don't really need keycap coolers for cheap keyboards like this they kind of look like a pudding style keycap where it's uh you know not opaque in the top but then kind of see through towards the bottom so you can really get some RGB through there but as you can see we do in fact have Blue switches let's see if I can get one of these off so we have some sort of box switches it just says YH that's a brand white but yeah it's a box switch with a cherry style stem I mean it sounds like a blue keyboard for sure it is probably one of the loudest blue switch keyboards I've heard stabilizers actually aren't terrible build quality is not too bad it does not have flip up feet does not have a braided cable the cable is not detachable the keycaps look okay they're not the worst I mean for for 24 and some change it's it's not terrible yeah I can't really hate it I kind of want to plug it in and see what it looks like and then I guess we'll just do a typing test but yeah this one so far is not bad at all I don't believe that it's hot swap though I know sometimes we've been surprised sometimes it's really hard to tell I mean in theory the only way we really could is just try to pull this out yeah some of them you can it's pretty easy to tell and most of them would come with like a little metal like switch puller all right oh it's bright okay so it's pretty bright um I don't think we're gonna have yeah it's not like changing RGB really so all the LEDs are fixed they're not going to go different colors but it does have a lot of different modes okay let's get back to like okay there we go I'm back yeah some we're back at RGB it looks pretty good it looks like we can change like brightness we can change speed so brightness speed um and then we have a lot of different layered uh Keys they're all labeled be all all the all the keys and switches look like they're labeled correctly so I don't know what the heck that look look at that one a little side to side all kinds of crazy stuff so let's just go into typing test see how it sounds so yeah I mean overall the keyboard sounded pretty good typing test went well I just did like the lazy brown fox one so we got all the keys through but yeah overall I really can't complain about this one and as of right now it's the only keyboard so it is in first place let's go to the next one number one so this one is uh interesting on Amazon is the CQ 84 84 key 60 keyboard I don't think that adds up I thought 84 Keys was more than 60 that's like a 65 or something like that but uh yeah there's that this keyboard was 18 with Blue switches 1888 now as you can tell the spelling is great we got gaming someone let us know down below we're trying to do some research are there other countries that Spell gaming like this because this is the second product that we've gotten in-house recently that's spelled gaming with game ing so I don't know let me know but yeah blue switch keyboard A4 key I feel like this is the one like we mentioned that's like the Hidden Gem because it's blue so we're gonna go ahead and open it that's what they mean by Blue switch the key capsules honestly no wait that's not a blue switch at all oh no all right so here's the keyboard it reminded me of the keyboard we've been using in our setups recently where it looked very premium but is 18 so there's that um in terms of including accessories we have a detachable white cable that's actually pretty nice we also have a keycap puller which is going to be very useful when I figure out if this is membrane or not it's braided cool that's weird I was expecting like lint not linear I was expecting like membrane but um yeah on First Impressions it's a pretty well built keyword I'll be honest with you feels more well built than that other one over there uh we do have the flip out feet included with some non-slip pads if you don't want to use the flip out USBC it's USBC guys this is this is freaky this is a Hidden Gem right now so we're gonna go ahead and plug this USBC in and then just let's run it out the front for right now but you do have cable routing options as well depending on which side uh your PC is on to make it nice and clean but the hugee CQ 84 so at least that's right most of the time these like model names are like totally out there but yeah build quality is it's okay for under 20 I mean this is insane like there's some keyboards probably like 50 60 bucks from like name brands that are built like this and yeah they're you know way more expensive obviously so yeah what we're gonna go ahead and do is plug this thing up and see if we have any RGB lighting I don't think there's any lighting but we'll figure that out here in a second we've been shocked before we've been shocked before oh wait oh oh what do we have oh my God all right stop it right this is the thumbnail guys look at that real RGB um let's see if we can customize this at all let's go to the phones that's fluid um let's see oh there's different modes right here so there's like a starry mode I think that's that 16 million RGB motor right there in trail RGB that's actually pretty nice I was expecting that a keyboard under 20 I don't understand how companies make money doing this it just makes it really cheap that just makes you think about like the nice name brand keyboard you spend 200 I don't know how much does it really cost I'm making some big bucks they have to be but this wasn't impressive so far Brown switch it's definitely in my opinion I wouldn't go with a brown switch but I definitely go with a brown switch over a blue switch because it's a lot less crazy um so yeah do the typing test because this one's kind of exciting I'm really impressed with this keyboard I mean so far this is definitely number one um we have brown switches which sound really smooth it's not very rattly in terms of like the stabilization it has true RGB has a color scheme I mean I think this is crazy 20 bucks or less I already know this keyboard is going to get sold out really quickly if it isn't already sold out by the time the video goes live but it has no reviews right now so hopefully no one else finds it before the video goes live but absolute steel I think this one is easily number one right now all right guys I'm your pastor I'm your sermon so this right here is the sermon it's sermon to you mechanical keyboard and it is white black and white shaft red and this one was 25.99 so this is the most expensive keyboard so far I think the one that we just did is going to be like almost impossible to pass right now it's in first place obviously this one could definitely be a close second especially if we actually have red switches because Matt and I were a little more partial to linear switches I already like this I love when keyword manufacturers include extra accessories even if they aren't anything you're ever going to use it's just fun I'm already liking this color scheme too are the keyboards kind of boring if we're being honest this one actually has some fun to it we got some white black and red and I already see USBC I am starting to love like the USBC Trend we got this too teacup puller detachable USC cable it's not quite as nice as the other one because the other one was braided this one's not but it's still nice it's not super skinny but yeah I'm loving this one's the kind of typical like where it comes at the back too which is a little easier if you get Artisan cables I know the keyboard we just did it's a little harder to get some of those fat cables you buy to go through those cable routes but you know just a random nitpick thing but from the keyboard definitely red switches I like how it has kind of some custom branding on it the font's definitely different than you're used to seeing too the Escape looks pretty cool uh back has no feet but we do have rubber pads and it says it's a backlit model so we'll see what type of lighting we get but let's go ahead and pull a keycap so these are a more standard style Cherry style red switch man they need to make The Branding bigger on these or their magnifying glass they are autome switches all right we'll keep this over here for the next one so that's pretty cool does it still work dude it is so dusty but anyways yeah it looks pretty cool so we could always swap these out too looks like we have a different Escape if we want to go back to the OG but I like the little color scheme they did here it's kind of fun so let's go ahead and plug in this keyboard I will say this one so far I feel like has some of the best build quality but I just don't know I mean unless it's full RGB it's just gonna be hard to pass up that one because of the price too and feel the juice the rodents I feel like it's not gonna be RGB it definitely looks blue I don't know why they chose blue I feel I feel like they just took a keyboard that was like an all-white with that blue and just slap different color keycaps on it yeah it's definitely weird then again I guess it wouldn't look bad actually if we did this we just put that back yeah yeah you know what he's like now that we know it's blue we're changing it back I like every time it plugs into this Mac it's like it cannot identify this brand of keyboard okay that like surprisingly made it a lot better all right so we're back on a nice good looking now it actually looks pretty sick I mean I'm liking this color scheme I'm still not I'm still not quite as sold but these are red switches we do like them better than the kind of kind of tactile bumpy mushiness of a brown switch so let's go and give this thing a typing test all right so the keyboard the main drawback that I found is it has a very yeah and that's just you know because it's a cheaper built keyboard back Plate's not like stabilized or it doesn't have any like rubber gaskets holding up it's just straight on the plastic which I mean it's a 26 keyboard that's actually mechanical has good lighting what do you expect but in terms of looks overall performance I'm definitely gonna put it in second place bingoos definitely falling bengu's definitely getting pushed down yeah second place on to the next one now for this keyboard This is the Abu cow moo it was 25.99 and yeah it's a 60 keyboard with putting keycaps so I think it's gonna be very similar to the bengu but we're gonna find out but this box doesn't really tell us much of anything McAlister I don't know what just came off by the way too there's that McAllister put some spots on this and make it a cow a boo cow anyways um again a very oh God I already hear the clicks this is getting it almost looks like you're breaking something with Bluetooth sorry it's gonna get this out so this the keyboard model specifically for those who are curious is the za616 so we have bag one for us in terms of cableage oh this one's hot swappable because we have extra Blue switches for the with a switch puller it is USBC guys the USBC train has made it to the station everything is USBC nowadays so USBC cable and um yeah we're going to pull this out and again this still is sitting here I don't know what that is it's pretty basic so it's a white keyboard with the pudding keycap in terms of build quality pretty solid it's a 60 board we have USBC right out here and I'm getting more confused this is the zy friend zyphrine keyboard so there's another model named guys stick to one model name please flip out feet here which are these brake parts oh yeah doubles those are pretty nice you can change the height that you want but if you want to just go fly you have the non-slip pads let's go ahead and pop off um we have a blue switch a box blue switch I'm gonna see if I can figure out what this says oh it's YH again it's the same brand as the bengu ones so probably the same manufacturer so we'll go ahead and pop this back on really all there is to see is the lighting at this point the uh the font is very similar honestly I think it's I'm getting like same maybe same same actually but I don't know this is well a corded design so it's not actually detachable what does the back say is it Boyfriend by chance this is that's their own v610 wait is that oh okay it's not even the same model number so I don't know but I mean it's a keyboard there's only so much you can do here so we're gonna go ahead and untangle this this is cool like an added bonus that it's hot swap I mean I don't know who would buy something like this to hot swap it but I guess if you wanted to spend like 25 bucks and you had really nice switches yeah I don't know when you're buying a cheap keyboard I don't really expect people to hot swap it but it'd be kind of a fun thing you know at some point you'd be like hey I could just try some different switches add some really expensive like some of the pandas yeah just for the fun of it if you're a YouTuber out there that sounds like something you should do yeah so let's go ahead and plug this bad boy in oh my oh gosh uh so we're green right now and there's oh there's an underglow I don't like that honestly because you really don't I mean you can kind of see it I'll show you guys on the camera and yeah it's actually it's there and let's use your keyboard like this yeah um so we'll do function change some of the modes here static RGB oh wow that's amazing oh wait yeah that is real that's real this real RGB nice cool so we can see you change up this I'm gonna end up putting keycaps actually do kind of make it pop they do make it pop especially with the white it doesn't look as cool when the the RGB is not on with low lighting this would look pretty sick yeah so you'll see some definitely clean b-roll from our overhead setup with this thing I think it looks pretty nice um yeah I guess we should do a typing test it is a blue switch you kind of know what you're getting but let's just test it anyways honestly for a blue switch keyboard sounded very well stabilized the space bar yeah if you're looking for a blue switch keyboard um or this is like your first mechanical keyboard I know a lot of people you gotta try Blue switches especially if it's your first mechanical keyboard and then you'll decide whether or not you want to go linear or not but yeah this is actually a pretty nice keyword the pretty keycaps looked really nice and I think I don't know what are you feeling I definitely better than the bengu but are we passing the sermon it is a blue switch so us personally I think it probably is like here it is hot swap too though it is hot swap so what do you what are you thinking I'm cool same price too same price as a sermon I think it past the sermon it kind of passed a sermon not by a lot it's almost a tie all right it's gonna pass the sermon and we're gonna move on to the last one all right guys the last keyboard we had to make it five keyboards is going to be this I can never say right meijigi mad Gigi something like that but this is the most name-brain keyboard of this whole entire Roundup Maggie or Mage key has actually been around for quite a while now they are a very overseas company and they do have really really cheap stuff and they pretty decent stuff too they're kind of like they're like a lower end red dragon in my eyes but this is is the star 100 gaming keyboard it looks like this keyboard is going to be a pretty decent size I think we actually might have a number pad yeah this one is the most expensive when I bought it was 30 now it's up to 32 so it's disqualified itself oh but look at this though something can be a weird keyboard so yeah like I said more like a they're like a cheaper red dragon um which red dragon think the cheapest mechanical game from them now is like 30 to 40 dollars that didn't used to be the case but now magic is kind of closed that Gap so we do have a black USBC cable and man I am just keyword manufacturers great job I'm loving the USBC interface hopefully iPhone's next right you know it's a little bit harder for us to love we're not really the biggest full-size fans but I also don't love 60 if I'm being honest so this was kind of like a middle ground for me I can already tell that we have some red switches that feel really nice we have a key cut puller and yeah these extra keys are actually pretty sick so you could kind of change out some of these it looks like you're basically changing out the gray switches for red if you'd like to so that's a pretty cool option but I'm liking the gray and black color scheme go ahead and pull off one of these and we have oh it's that uh Jackson I remember seeing that one a good amount so yeah or normal Cherry stem style switch like I said we do have USBC it is coming out of the back here flip up feet with rubber pads on both in case you don't use the feet so I definitely like that I'll go ahead and flip these up boom she's looking pretty good so now let's go ahead and get this plugged in it's a recessed board okay I feel like are we not gonna have true RGB here yeah okay so we have some different modes it's just like the classic kind of like blue look so I mean it looks pretty good it's definitely not going to be first at this point but it does have mechanical switches it does have a detachable USBC cable it does have flip up feet and they have pretty good looking keycaps with some backlighting now let's go ahead and actually do a typing test on it and see how it sounds and where it's going to go in our top five all right guys so we just got done typing on the Maggie keyboard Maggie and overall it's a good keyboard but this is the most expensive one by quite a bit you gotta remember this keyboard right here is double the price of our huai Jai so I mean in terms of like ranking it definitely looks really good but I feel like it's gonna have to go what do you think like last you're in between I was thinking between the bengu and the sermon menu is just kind of yeah yeah and you know now I can't really remember like I think the main thing is no detachable cable um no detachable cable no flip out feed and if I'm being honest these pudding shots are just pretty ugly this one's not much better looking I just think I don't really like putting keycaps that much I'm realizing so let's go ahead and put it over here just so you guys can see the final results so here we go we have bengu in last place still a great keyboard though for the price Maggie e is up to Fourth Place sermon in third a boo cow a boo cow yeah yeah that one's a second and then we have Hawaii Jai in first place I think this is a pretty good one let's go ahead and bring the keyboards back over here and after and I'm actually pretty proud of this one because normally I feel like we always have one keyboard that is just pretty dog water it'll have membrane switches or just not even switches at all just membrane or mem chemical it'll have no lighting but we didn't have any of those every single keyboard had lighting every single keyboard besides one had detachable usb-c cables which I'm kind of glad we took a break from doing this Cubo Roundup because I feel like they've really improved for the price so if you guys
