The Best Bannerlord Mods You NEED To Play In Your Next Campaign

hey how's it going everybody welcome back to the channel and welcome back to our monthly look at the top five months but I highly recommend you use in your next campaign if you're new to the channel or this series this is basically a monthly occasion where I round up all the new or recently updated mods and show them off to you so you can go ahead and have a great new campaign unfortunately 1.2 has not currently released out of beta quite yet so I'm going to be saving a kind of mods you should use for 1.2 for another video even though you can find many of them that have been updated for the beta already this is however going to be heavily focusing on the latest 1.1.5 patch and there's a nice mix here of AI and gameplay enhancements so let's just dive into something that will completely change up your play style and as you can see if we take a little look-see at the campaign map we are at the start of the game however I am playing as the leader of the sturgeon m Empire so this is the player switch mod and it basically does what you think it would do it allows you to play as any character inside of car radio with a simple hit of a button for example if I wanted to be like I'm kind of bored as playing as this faction maybe I want to switch over and playing a player's duh boom there you go and we are now playing as dirt I think this is a great mod for anybody looking to kind of really spice up their campaign but maybe doesn't want to go through like the grind of the early game you can quite easily do this to non-leaders as well so if you want to maybe start the campaign as a pre-existing law but not the actual king of an Empire maybe you want to kind of rise up and overthrow them that is something you can completely do and another really great thing about the player switch mod is it works with a lot of other overhaul mods so for stuff like the realm of Thrones Game of Thrones modification you can jump out and use this mod to play as the famous characters players Daenerys players aegon Targaryen play as Joffrey it's Tywin Jon Snow Ramsay Bolton the you know the possibilities are endless so again if you want to go for more of the role play aspect that again is something you can completely do with this mod and just on the whole it's a great overhaul mod something that you can really get your teeth stuck into and give your give you your battle Lord play through that little bit of extra spice speaking of spice we have a very very cool mod to look at next this is the supply lines mod this mod is basically broken up into two parts things first we have the supply lines that you can find right here in the management tab whenever you take over a new Castle this will allow you to donate food to the cinema which is always nice if you notice that you know again a lot of the time if you've been playing battle Lord you'll know when you take a settlement the food situation is dire and a lot of the Garrison just ends up starving to death and sometimes the settlement just doesn't have enough food to bring you know to have the amount of Garrison you want to leave inside the settlement it also leaves the cinnamon very vulnerable for like the first like 30 days until they can sort out that food situation but the supply lines mod looks to fix that allowing you to actually buy food from surrounding areas and that costs you stuff you can also send and request support from the surrounding areas which is just so cool so for example if I'm like damn this settlement is really struggling for food I can request a uh fly a caravan from Sargon I will click that I'll have to leave some of the Garrison I'll have to send out someone for Garrison to go and do that so for example I will do that right now I mean you can see we have requested support from Sargon and look at that you can actually see the supply Wagon on the map coming over with its food if we go and talk to him again you can go ahead and say good work soldiers as you were and they'll continue to make their way over there um right now you can see but I really have a large amount in their armies and these are going to be susceptible to being raided the really cool thing about this as well is that the AI also utilizes this so the AI will also be requesting and sending their own food supplies giving you a completely new Dynamic when it comes to war and then when the food finally arrives boom you can see we've now just received an extra 50 food right there which will really help be settlement out again Ultra cool there's plenty of other stuff you can do with this mod but you can also purchase grain so again if we have very little food inside the Empire you can actually buy rain from kind of surrounding settlements and the further away it is the more expensive it can be but yeah we can buy Grain from the Western Empire and again you can see that that will go ahead and be the request it will take some time and to go ahead and get over here but that Supply will be on its way so just like that right off the bat we now have a completely amazing supply network that the AI also does incorporate into their strategic planning another very very interesting thing that again the AI does along with the player is that if your army besieging a settlement is also running low on supplies I think it's below five days they will also request extra supplies from the surrounding settlements so them settlements will actually send food wagons to go ahead and keep the siege going keep the Army fed and on the Vermont and considering the AI also does this this is such a cool feature such a cool mod you have to use it in your next campaign go and download it right now okay the next mods we're gonna be taking a look at this one is actually a really cool concept and definitely an interesting one this is the trooper mod and basically what it allows you to do is send out these I guess hidden Pro parties to enemy settlements they'll then infiltrate the settlement and wait for you to besiege them and launch an attack and then they'll attack the settlement from within now I think this concept works much better for cities rather than castles because I feel like castles would be a little bit tighter but maybe they are like hurting the population into the settlement whereas cities would be a little bit easier to actually infiltrate but nonetheless it's a really cool concept so all you're gonna have to do to go ahead and initiate this is obviously be a war with some Clans you're gonna have to go to your clan uh tab open up the tuva go to create Solomon and find the settlement that you want to go ahead and besiege we're gonna go ahead and do this one right here we'll select it and then we have to give over some soldiers to actually launch the assault from within uh we also have to actually have a companion so I'll grab one of those quickly so boom now we have a companion we can send them over it's gonna cost us a lot of money to do this right this is no easy feat we're gonna have to bribe the guards and everything else along their lines but boom they will now head off there you go you can see that they will arrive in one day and seven hours so if we speed our way through they should go ahead and infiltrate the settlement again a lot of money to be lost but it's also kind of cool because it's like a money sink in the later part of the game there you go the troops have infiltrated the settlement yours 25 soldiers and say you're sorry yeah I got 31 soldiers not all of them made it 25 of them were caught but thirsty one of them made it in which is you know perfect again I didn't actually mean to do this settlement funnily enough I meant to go on closer but I clicked the wrong one so just ignore that for now so the siege has kicked off the men are charging to the position and now we get to launch our trap again you're going to want to go ahead and throw them right into The Fray because this is the beginning of the battle we need to get our ladders up and get ready to utilize that effect the enemy artillery is coming down bombarding our positions but it's really easy to utilize all you have to do is press q and then you can open up the cool troop menu which is again super easy go ahead and click and then boom the soldiers are now going to come into effect as we can see if we immediately jump in right now I again I don't have RTS camera on so we just have to use the photo mode you can see by basically spawning behind the enemy and get ready to uh yeah to initiate the battle again I I thought we had like an option to actually use that and then boom there you go I'm gonna tell them so we want to attack the left wall right so boom we're going to tell them to attack the left wall they're gonna launch into the battle and meetly go in so again you're going to want to wait like on like what I did to uh to launch this Ambush because somebody's going to utilize you can see we're losing quite a few men here as well but hopefully I can get up on the wall to show you guys exactly what they're doing but yeah you can see they're currently fighting from within I think if you launch this like at the perfect time it's going to be really effective um and setting these off is going to be yeah a very very cool way of spicing up your battle unfortunately the men aren't getting better because the AI hasn't pushed them into the wall yet but it's definitely something that you can utilize and again you can use them to attack the gate full back attack Siege weapons which could be really useful I think maybe attacking the gate could be a really good way of doing it getting that gate open from within when you're also attacking could be very very smart indeed but yeah that's what typical mode a very very simple one but a really cool one to help spice up your gameplay the next mod we'll be taking a look at is a pretty interesting one of this is the claims mod and basically what it means is that you actually have to obtain a claim before declaring war on another faction this results in you actually having a bit of time to prepare for a incoming War as the AI does also utilize this and also adds a little bit more cost to it because you have to pay for the claim much like you do in ck3 and it takes time to generate so again it's more about build up mobilization phase before the actual War does kick off the mod itself is super easy to go ahead and get the hand to get to grips with all you need to do is have a companion which is super easy to get go down to them go ahead and have a little conversation with them and then ask them to go Forge a claim you can go ahead and select any of the kingdoms you want to even Britannia for some reason maybe you're starting a Civil War and you want to go ahead and kick that off but if I go ahead and ask him to do that it'll take them some time uh six days to be total and then they'll be back and kind of give me the option to go ahead and press it and then a boom the fabrication after six days has been rated and then worth it we can gain the claim or we can't afford it again it was only six grand so not really that much it would be nice to see if these were a bit more expensive having my late game money sync is always going to be good and then boom uh you can see we have the claims and now we can go over here and we actually already automatically start off at all of them um which is good but yeah we can also then propose it right here I believe the other factions we can't oh that's that's because like one we can then press back claim unfortunately people are saying no but the other Lords we wouldn't be able to do that with so if we again try to do that for say uh one of the other facts since we just wasted our claim right there but yeah boom we can't do it disturge it because we don't have a claim and then finally we're gonna be taking a look at the hold quartz mob this mod is absolutely awesome a very very cool installment it gives you something to do in the mid to late game so basically this mod will require you to go to one of these settlements that you are currently in command of and go and sit down in your throne after throwing your wife off of the throw you can simply sit down and then a uh a Lord will come over and basically be like yo what's up do you want a whole court today do you want to hear the plight of the people uh which is obviously uh something you are going to want to be doing so yeah sure show the first one in and then boom a uh Lord does make their way in and there's what a lord or a peasant makes his way in and walks over to you they will basically start uh pleading a cause and again it's got a really cool kind of setup with it and you can ask how you can help them and then they ask you so right here you could change the law below my Lord all of us would be grateful and we'll be willing to give you some money so again this is a pretty big thing if you can deliver 60 loads of clay to this territory however this mod does allow you to actually complete the quest here and then so you can do it yourself however because you are the king uh you know you can basically completely bypass this Quest and say hey I will remove the restrictions from the sale of good it'll cost you some influence uh but then boom there you go and then that's about that one done so again it's a really nice way of integrating these quests into the mid to late game um and allow you to have a little bit more fun again you can say hey buy next one so we'll go ahead and get another one which will spawn in and come over and again you know give give me his plight and as a lord is my job to deal with it so let's hear what this one has to say so what's he asking about yes I'm glad to have a chance to talk to you I've been thinking for a while about business and I might work together in our interest he has a lot to ask me again I am reading all of that just give me the tldr my friend so he's basically asking me to throw a tournament so we can win uh win a certain thing and again it's a really kind of cool way of doing it uh boom that's that mission done and then when I'm bored of it I can't just move out so it's a great way of having like the quest come to you uh again you have a merchant here go away my friend I didn't care I am the king but yeah it's a great way of having these quests kind of come towards you and you can go ahead and deal with them again picks the tournaments something that would be very cool is that if they could get some more like specific custom quests in that are more related to holding Court you know asking the king of Melanie to fix some tournaments I guess could make sense maybe derhart is in some serious of gold dragons but over I think is a really cool way of spicing up your mid to late game and that is gonna do it for my top five mods of the month let me know if I missed one that you guys think definitely should
