what's up everybody and welcome to this new overwatch video in this video we're gonna be breaking down the top eight Ultimates you actually use incorrectly that's right these Ultimates time and time again are uses completely incorrectly and it's actually costing players hundreds or even thousands of SR overwatch is a game all about consistency and if you're consistently using all these Ultimates incorrectly it could be preventing you from having the impact that you need in order to hard carry all the trash teammates that you have in your matches that's okay cuz game leap has you covered so let's jump into the top eight Ultimates that use incorrectly and how to fix it now kicking off with the first ultimate on our list is actually McRae's High Noon now Makris High Noon is a very impactful ultimate capable of getting tons of team wipes and has insanely high potential the problem with Heinen in general is it actually exposes McCree immensely more often than not instead of getting that huge six met altima tieu end up just getting picked off dying and honestly throwing the fight for your team high nodes that ultimate that time and time again players of all ranks using correctly and if you don't fix these fundamental errors you're not gonna be getting the impact on McCree needed for you to gain sr and climb to the next rank now the number one biggest mistake that McCree players make time and time again is getting greedy often with high noon you activate it and you see an opportunity to get one maybe two kills instead of confirming those kills you hold it trying to get that massive six-man well that six men does feel fantastic more often than not it gives the enemy that little second they need to secure that headshot hook you sleep you or ultimately shut you down on top of that giving enemies sometimes that little second of leeway can easily allow them to move out of your line of sight making it so you don't get any value at all now with High Noon if you just secure those one and two kills then you as McCree can go into the enemy team try to secure another kill with your flashbang and win the teamfight convincingly for your team we really need to learn McCree is evaluating risk versus reward how risky is it for you to hold that hide in for any longer than you already are something else that Makris have a hard time doing is simply canceling their ultimate and walking away if you try to high noon and you understand that you're not gonna be able to get any value don't hold it cancel it and simply go back to your team or try to get peel lucre's are almost stubborn to the fact that they need to give value and they're unable to simply walk away from a failed High Noon it doesn't take very long for you to understand whether or not you gonna get any value at all at a high noon so if you're not gonna get any value can't 0 and walk away now moving on to the next ultimate that players consistently misuse is Mercy's Phalke now you might be thinking it's really hard to mess up Mercy's Valcke I fundamentally disagree and let me explain the problem with Mercy's that use Valcke is I see time and time again Mercy's invest Valcke in lost fights when one or two allies are already picked off or your whole team is slow Mercy's will often pop Valcke in order to turn that fight here's the fundamental problem with using Valcke as a pseudo defensive old when compared to other support Ultimates in the game it's not as pound for pound as good as something like Lucio beat or Zen transcendence and keeping your team alive and playing at an offensive role however something that vow can do that no other support old can can honestly split the difference between damage and healing Mercy's ultimate could be a damage boost when it needs to be this is similar to something like supercharger for Marissa it could be a chain heal when you need it to mid fight this versatility is what makes Mercy's valve truly strong and one of the best ways that you can utilize Valcke is during your engage of your fight don't wait until multiple teammates are already picked off if you could damage boost a chain amount of your teammates as the enemies engage you could put in more damage to their shields more damage to their health and build your teammates Ultimates that much quicker then if your allies start to take immense damage you're already invoked to heal them up essentially Mercy's Valcke is far better used when your whole team is at a full fighting force instead of trying to turn a teamfight that is seemingly already lost the one exception of this is if one of your teammates die and you can pop Valcke in order to residence a flee that being said that player might not have died at all if you would have popped mercy Phalke earlier in the teamfight so if you already had it maybe you should have invested it earlier and no one would have died and y'all would have been able to win the teamfight convincingly without needing to invest rez it all now moving on to ultimate number 3 let's talk about Zara's graviton surge now something that many of you don't know about graviton surge is that your alternate fire actually follows the exact same trajectory as a graviton sir this way you could pre fire your alternate fire and see exactly what your graviton surge will land allowing you to love long range graviton surge that being said the biggest mistake that I constantly see even all the way up into high masters Zarya players getting move are too greedy with their graviton surge its final fight in the winner of this fight will win the entire game and Zara's will refuse to invest grabs unless the whole enemy team is placed together that being said the enemy team knows that this aura has graph so they're playing completely spread this is completely fine and not a bad scenario at all in fact grabbing two people that are alone from the enemy team can be an easy two kills allowing you to push the point maybe there's a hamon in your back line or maybe a diving Genji securing solo kills with Graf could be a free pick and allow you to storm the enemy team as a six v5 getting far too greedy with your graviton surge just doesn't actually win you fights at the end of the day whether or not you get two kills with your graviton surge or get a full six men grab and kill them all anyways the fight is won regardless don't try to get too greedy trying to get play the game when you could just secure those guaranteed picks rush the point and win the teamfight convincingly now moving on to the next ultimate our list we have hon Zoe's dragon's strike now I've broken this down before but I'm gonna keep repeating it until players understand how to effectively use dragon strike you know what else I'm gonna keep repeating why you should be going to game leave calm game Luke calm has some of the highest quality guys that you'll find anywhere every single character on this list has in-depth guides handcrafted by GM players to give you the best quality content available if you're dedicated to improve and become that self-actualized GM player come check us out and you won't regret it I hope to see you there the biggest mistake that I see with dragon strike is not using it in one of these four exact scenario in my opinion there are only four specific uses for dragon strike and you should be thinking about one of these four when actually activating dragon strike the first way that you should ever use dragon strike is when combo with another ultimate this is really obvious but it's also the most guaranteed way to get value out of it so every time you can combo dragon strike definitely use it now the second way is when the enemy team is retreating or engaging you don't a dragon strike just in the bulk of the enemy team randomly what you want to do is put pressure on them as they engage your team or put pressure on them as they're retreating if you put pressure on them as they engage they have to either slow down their engage and take damage anyways or engage directly into your dragon and it does tons of damage allowing you to secure kills or for you to have advantage when your team engages them also when the enemy team is retreating if you drag it behind them or as they're disengaging it prevents them from leaving and it allows you and your team to get staggers which is precious time and old charge for your teammates now the third way that I would suggest using dragon strike is to get a solo kill dragon strike is one of the fastest building Ultimates in the entire game so simply securing a solo kill on the enemy can mean that y'all have a 6 V 5 right off the bat don't feel like jagged strike is worth more than simply a solo kill because getting a consistent Scylla kill every time use dragon strike can allow you to win Hansa teamfights Hanzo in particular can get a pick just with his primary fire so securing a killed your dragon strike and then getting a pick with your primary fire post or Mero can allow you to win a fight super easily now the last and final scenario that you should use dragon striking is to make space this one is a really rare situation but I still need to mention it here if you don't have a maintain to create space for you on a car and you need a contestant card last moment if you do not have time for you to wait for your main tank to come back and regroup with you you can use your dragon strike to create space in this way the enemy team have to move away from the objective and pull back giving you your other DPS and your supports ability to push up onto the objective dragon strike can replicate a pseudo main take creating that space so definitely keep this in mind for a pinch now if you use dragon strike it anyway besides these four honestly you're probably using it incorrectly really try to think about one of these four ways to use dragon strike every single time and I'm sure you'll get much more value out of them on average now moving on to the next ultimate order list we have Baptiste amplification matrix now Baptiste is incredibly strong right now and smart amplification matrix usage can definitely want you tons of teamfights with amplification matrix alone the biggest mistake that I see with amplification matrix is one putting it far too forward so no one can utilize it or two pushing it far to back so the enemy team can cut away from it if the enemy team sees your amplification matrix they'll often simply try to disengage you want to make sure that the value that you generate from application matrix is enough so that even if they disengage they've already lost the teamfight due to some of them getting picked off an important aspect of amplification matrix is you should definitely call to your team that you're about to use it so that they can all follow up your team simply spamming through it the enemy shield can break them instantly and burn the enemy teams main tanks smart amplification matrix usage is actually one of the biggest ways to carry us Baptiste in this meta now there will be scenarios where you can actually use a vacation matrix interestingly firstly a Baptist that's confident in his mechanical skill can actually do enemy team's support and DPS if the amplification matrix is just themselves this is a very neat situation but keep in mind that amplification matrix can be used creatively in a pinch and only through experimentation will you find the best way to have impact and the different ways to have impact in every single situation now moving on to the next ultimate on the list we have Road hogs whole hog now whole hog is very powerful ultimate that being said it also makes Road extremely vulnerable the biggest mistake I see on whole-hog is something that a lot of these Ultimates have in common is the user getting too greedy so whole hog can easily so kill a tank by hooking them and whole hogging them straight to the ground you can also whole hog enemy Hammett's into a wall or simply win a 1v1 with whole hog because of road hog slow movement speed and his inability to take a breather he is most vulnerable when he's activating whole hog ass hog if you could secure 1 or 2 kills but stay alive with a little whole hog you could easily follow up with a hook and get pic after pic your life is not worth trading so definitely don't try to get too greedy also when using whole hog don't forget that you could play in and out of natural cover you don't have to completely expose yourself to the whole enemy team exposing yourself can allow you to get headshot nated slept you name it essentially what I'm saying is after you got the initial value at a whole hog don't be afraid to just go behind cover and let the whole hog end so you could take a breather reset and try to get more value without exposing yourself too much now moving on to the second-to-last ultimate on the list we have Ash's Bob now Bob is a really unique ultimate and it can actually do a lot of interesting things that other Ultimates can for one it can actually cap or contest objectives and it's treated in the same way that any player is that being said more often than not Bob players get little to no value at a bob for these big reasons firstly I see ash players throwing Bob right into the bulk of the enemy team if the enemy team have full health and shields they can easily shield off the Bob and focus it down or something like a Nana has a sleep dart they could sleep it or a hog can easily hook it off the map that being said unless you're trying to Kontest a point throwing Bob in the mid fight can be the best way when the enemy is low on resources low in abilities and low on shield health that way you and your team can follow up with the Bob and Bob can actually be a 7th member of the team rather than fighting the enemy team 1 v 6 essentially think about Bob like he's another player would you ever want to run it to the enemy team 1 v 6 if you wouldn't do it don't throw your Bob in there either don't make your Bob trying to clutch the fight alone cuz honestly that's not going to be worth it on top of that look to give value out of Bob's initiation Bob throws enemy teams up in an easy pattern allowing you to get big Dynamite's and headshots so don't miss the opportunity to try to get free value when your Bob engages now if you want your Bob to never run off the map again no matter what smash that like button that's it that's all you have to do if you smash that like button ever ever have one of your Bob's just run right across the map and you get no value now the final ultimate that you consistently misuse over and over again is ham and mine now there's a few things about ham in mines that you need to understand now firstly there's a slight delay with activating it this is why after you activate mines above the enemy you want to slam them down so while your minds are activating they're in a cc'd position so that your minds can actually initiate and explode if you simply try to roll through the enemy team and activate mines right on top of them often they'll be able to get out of its range before the mines become active the second big thing that you need to understand is that mines will stick to surfaces might as well stick to the first surface that they touch so if you all really high next to a ceiling often a lot of your minds will actually get stuck to the ceiling and will not fall to the ground keep this in mind when trying to mine in close corridors because sometimes your mines will get stuck to the ceiling and honestly get no one in its path now what are the best uses of Mines is actually using mines to contest hot zone what you do here is you place mines in a way where the enemy team has to actually brought into the mines in order to contest the objective this way whether the enemy team is retreating to the point or forced to touch it they have to run through your minds and take tons of damage and it will waste their time and presses resources keep in mind that Hammonds can actually Boop enemies into mines so trying to set that up is definitely a way to get more value as well now for those of you who made it to the end of this video I know how desperately you want to improve it overwatch I know I said it's time and time again but if you really want to improve
