when I first made the transition to PC overwatch my aim was terrible overwatch is the very first FPS game I ever played on PC and as such my mechanical growing pains were immense I'm sure each and every one of your games you're constantly comparing yourself to these streamers that can hit these insane shots well you can't consistently hit even some of the easy targets coming at you in each and every game you play now with hard work dedication and these seven things I managed to turn myself from someone who had actually awful aim into someone who compared to the average aimer has incredible aim this video will give you everything that you need to know in order to make your aim godly as quickly as possible in fact if you don't watch this video you might be doing some things that will actually hinder yourself to where you'll never improve and your aim will be hardly better in a year than it is right now also if you console players out there I got some special tips just for you so make sure you watch the video and find out exactly what you need to do to start having that insane aim even on console now all that being said let's just jump right into it shall we now moving on to tip number one you need to find a good sensitivity that fits your play style there's a buzz for both console and PC some characters date a much faster sensitivity to be effective playing a character like Genji or doom fist we need to be able to do 180s on a dime on an incredibly low sensitivity musi will never be able to do the 180 it's fast enough to execute combos or be as efficient as you need to be that being said you could still have a relatively low sensitivity playing these heroes but you need to have a really gigantic mousepad to compensate but for controller playing these characters on a low sensitivity is probably just gonna hinder you things get a little bit more up to personal preference as you move to the fast sensitivities with a majority of overwatch League pros that are hit scan DPS players primarily play on low sensitivity there are exceptions to every rule me personally I know tons of 4.3 4.4 of players that play hit scan that have extremely high sensitivity for a general rule of thumb hit scan DPS such as McCree or tracking character such as aria would rather have a low sensitivity so it's easier to track and characters that need sporadic movements or don't care if their movement isn't pinpoint accurate such as winston doom fist or Genji they can have an incredibly high sensitivity all that being said personal preference overwhelms this immensely so keep that in mind now while I think it's generally really important for you to share sensitivities between a lot of characters to the could develop that muscle memory some characters are so fundamentally different that it's okay for you to have an altered sensitivity on them you can have bastard sensitivities between your Winston and between your McCree not everyone is affected by this the same but make sure that you don't lose that fundamental muscle member in the process also entering advanced territory some players actually have it to wear a button actually changes their DPI in game for PC users Pro overwatch League player of Rouge Jinyoung actually has a button that changes his DPI from extremely slow to incredibly fast because when he plays on ER he wants to be able to speed up his sensitivity that he can hit extremely close sleep darts this is a quarter in each scenario but you could imagine how changing your sensitivity mid-fight could be useful in certain situations with characters that have dynamic abilities now moving on to the next step in our list you need good hardware for those of you who are playing on console having a comfortable controller a well-lit TV that you could easily see and comfortably play for hours on and for you PC users this means having a good Mouse that you're counted with using and honestly you need a 144 Hertz monitor now I know well not everyone is capable of getting these things this is something you should definitely strive to because it gives you competitive advantage and allows you to improve as a player to that much faster when I made the transition from laptop to a PC with a 144 Hertz monitor not only did I feel like I had more control over my actual aim but I also was able to practice much longer without fatigue the clarity that the monitor and the computer gave me allowed me to play for many more hours without getting tired of the game and without having I and mental fatigue now moving on to one of the big things that I had to learn in order to start aiming that much better is crosshair placement this is actually something that even if you don't have that good of aim good cross there placement can instantly improve your aim dramatically so listen up to this specific concept now Before we jump into it let me tell you really quick about gimme comm no wait before you skip let me make this short and sweet game Boop duck home is the best place to find high-quality guides and if you want to know more I'll break it down at the end of the video for now just enjoy the video essentially have a good cross our placement and cross our discipline means that you put your crosshair in places where you think enemies are gonna peek from and constantly are ready to make micro flicks to the enemy having a cross there in a random position and having to flick massively to enemies heads means that you have much more travel time and it's much harder to be Carsley aiming head level and putting your cross there in places that you think enemies are gonna peek from means that you can react that much faster and you don't have to flick very far in order to accurately hit where they are good crosshair placement is a mixture of prediction and game sense that allows you to make harder shots much easier this is a way that you can hit more shots without actually having better aim and you can use your aim to a more effective count for pound value now moving on to the next big tip that helped me become a much better aimer is I actually picked up an alternate account and I played only hit skin on it now this is specifically important for someone like me to improve my aim because on my main account I played characters like Genji Hanzo Mei I was a projectile DPS player now I wanted to a dramatically prove my hitscan capabilities because I wanted to be able to transition to other games and I wanted to maximize that pinpoint accuracy for things like Genji reflect because being accurate and being more mechanically competent can help that play so I picked up an alternate account with hip scan and I practiced my key fundamentals playing things like Cree Widowmaker tracers soldier this allowed me to hyper focus on playing hitscan characters and really not use other characters as a crutch to win me games I was assigned at the rank that I deserved on his skin and I knew where I had to build from in order to improve dramatically something that I found is actually playing hit scans over and over again develop my skills much faster on them and I became far more comfortable in my hits get ability the more eyes specifically played only hit skin I also improved dynamically fast because I was put into an environment where I could only rely on my hits can aim and every time I aim improved my rank improved as well and I started to hit shots that I knew just flexing the hit scan before I was never able to hit but this helped me become a much better well-rounded hit scan player now moving on to the next big thing that can help you become an insanely better aimer is taking a look at your movement now unlike many other FPS s in the game movement matters so much at overwatch unlike something like csgo where crouching isn't instantaneous and there's a slowdown between moving left and right overwatch is instantaneous in every single action this means it's incredibly hard to headshot people that are moving left and right in crouch spamming and movement is something that can actually inversely hurt you or help you playing a character like Widowmaker but constantly moving crouching left and right means they're hitting your own shots are gonna be inversely effective in fact every single character can be hurt by your own movement if you don't learn to master it the problem with fully understanding movement is it's so dynamic but let me give you some core fundamentals for you to think about when playing a character like hyper lethal where you want to hit your shots you want to move in a way that isn't moving very much or moving away that can be easily course-corrected think of something like McCree against the soldier the Makri can easily win that matchup as long as he hits his shots so he doesn't want to be moving sporadically crouching moving left and right in a way that makes his own aim worse what he wants to do is be doing long strips so that he can easily course-correct and try to be as lethal as possible this is also why really good widow-makers will find an angle plant their feet and even if they're being fired upon they'll actively try to plant the headshot against anything but another enemy widow now this is an incredibly hard concept to fully grasp in one video so I'm actually gonna do something that I almost never do and tell you the best person to go to if you want to maximize this concept because honestly I actually give credit to this concept for making me such a better player overall pro overwatch League player sure for has actually released three different guides on positioning and each of them are immensely long and immensely in-depth and they are the best resources that you'll find anywhere about positioning there's nothing I could say that he hasn't already went into insane detail about so definitely go check it out if you want to understand this concept those who master this concept will have a huge advantage over all kinds of competitions so definitely go check it out and we're going to the next big thing that I personally love to do that you need to start doing it specially with the new feature that allows you to play custom games before you go into matches you need to start grinding trihard free for all now I know what you might be saying why not practice ranged are not a marina why not this we're not that this is the reason why try out free throw is the best way to improve your aim outside of ranked the problem with things like a marina and your training room is one of the biggest things that people don't understand about your aim is your aim is directly influenced by pressure and unpredictability being able to shoot bots that can't actually shoot you back or shooting people in a an arena where you don't care if you die because you instantly respond these are not ways where you can replicate the same pressure that you're in ranked I know players that can pop off in Kovac aim trainer all day but when it comes to an actual game over watch they choke shot after shot and they don't have the same impact you need to be replicating that same pressure and there's no custom game mode that does it better than tried free-throw now I'm saying specifically try it free for as opposed to other types of free-for-all is because triad free-for-all strips away a lot of the fluff that free-for-all has things like morose brig stuns or annoying abilities like immortality field are all taken away and it comes down to specifically raw mechanic based heroes that allow you to practice you get to practice these 1/v ones and you get to practice mechanically hitting your shots and trying to maximize that kill count as much as possible also try frou-frou will often be filled with much better players than you're used to masters grab masters top 500 players and I haven't seen overwatch League pros and try out free-for-all lobbies where you get to play against some of the best mechanically gifted players that exist anywhere this allows you to get a leg up on your competition because you're constantly playing against better and better players than those at your rank so you can take that knowledge that you gained from DS 1v wants and apply it to your rank every time you come into a 1v1 with the player that's better than you understand why he won that one v1 what did he do that was so much different in the people around you and the people at your rank how was his movement why was it hard to kill him and how many shots did he hit understand what the bar is can allow you to push your mechanical skill and can become that much better at the game now the final and last thing that you need to do in order to become a god aver is play the game a ton I know this is incredibly obvious and I know that this seems really simple but the only way to improve your mechanical skill more than anything I said in this video is play the game a lot and play hitscan heroes over and over and over again the time were you gonna improve the most and play at your peak is when you have no rust and you play over and over and over again you're not rusty you're not off a break you're playing again and again and you're grinding your mechanical aim in every single game you play inch by inch piece by piece your mechanical skill would become better and better and better keep in mind that your mechanical skill isn't gonna become insane right overnight but with hard work and dedication and grinding it a player that effectively uses his time and grinds consistent hours and plays the game as much as possible will become improved that much faster you see players that have spent two three four hours playing video games and haven't really improved their mechanical skill that because they're spending time doing other things they're not hyper focusing and they're taking too long of breaks in between their actual play sessions what this does is constantly puts them in states of breaking away rust without actually improving and becoming better with their aim rapidly you want to be playing consistent hours consistent days and be playing hit scan as much as possible now if this guide wasn't enough in breaking down what you need to do in order to improve your aim dynamically game recon has in-depth guides in fact we have a whole section specifically dedicated to help you improve your mechanical skill if you're dedicated to improve and become that Gaul to your aimer definitely go check us out I know we can help and you don't have to take my word for it we offer a ten day money-back guarantee so treat yourself to a late Christmas present go check it out and I hope to see you there anyways this is the list of things that I actually found helped me become a much better aimer and I become better and better every single day and I want y'all to be able to get to that level I know many of you are frustrated with your mechanical skill and I promise you at the start of my overwatch journey I probably had worse mechanical skill than every single one of you and you can have insane mechanical skill if you put your mind to it I know you can't I believe in you anyways I hope this guide has been extremely helpful for you and helping you know the things that you need to do to become that much closer to the aim god that we all want to be any questions or video concepts ideas / water views that you want to see I can do vods on McCree soldier tracer any hit scans on the list please let me know in the comments down below I would love to make them I can also do a vow review analysis breaking down some of the best Amos on the planet someone liked a friend if you want to see that please smash the like button and let me know anyways that's all I have
