Tesla Cybertruck vs Ford F-150 Lightning vs Rivian R1T

all right guys we're out here in downtown Los Angeles we got three electric trucks here we got the rivan r1t right here with the matte military green wrap Adventure package quad motor we've got the 2022 lightning Lariat standard range and I think this truck needs no introduction but it's the Tesla cyber Tru Foundation all-wheel drive and of course it's wrapped in a crazy color and rims and everything from unplug performance so in this video we're going to talk about the three things that people care about the most about these three electric trucks the front the interiors and the beds of these three electric trucks and you guys could tell us which one you like the most and we'll give our opinions too and how this video is a little bit different is all three of us are owners of these trucks so we are going to give you the owner's perspective of each and every truck and right now the rivan's at its highest suspension and so is the Cyber truck at its highest suspension right now at the highest suspension if you're a short person it's going to be pretty hard to go all the way to the inside right here but I mean you have like two levels here so you have the shallow level you could use but then you could go deeper right here and there's a drain down there so you could put ice and then drinks and then you could drain out the water after okay so what would you rate it 5 out of 10 I'd rate it like a seven out of 10 seven okay but but I think uh we'll see right now that the Ford has the best frunk in the game I think all right Ford Lightning with yes the best front game there is however it does take a while to open but it's for safety it's for safety though right yeah so you have two levels as well just like the rivan has but you've got huge Master space here this has got 400 lb weight limit it does have a secondary down here with a drain plug so that uh you could put ice just like the rivan has got a nice little uh bag there but you also have the mega Pro Power frunk which has got four 110 outlets and also USB outlet so it's really really nice to have all that up front so you can do any of your kind of work up here close up nicely but yeah it's really really to me the best frunk in the game right now what's also nice about the Ford Lightning is how easily you could just come up and put something here and you don't have to carry and put it over so that's a major advantage with the lightning and everybody speaks to the rivan having something you're going to see a little bit later but we do have air compressors in our frunk as well all right well now I'm a little bit embarrassed because the front of the Cyber truck is a little little small but here I'll show you an ex just a second we do have how you use it exactly but you can see we can fit things in here but not too much size uh very small no plugs I guess you can fill your washer through here and but the one thing that is different that I just realized that behind this panel you can access the cabin air filter which is a little bit usable but I I'm not sure if the other trucks have that as well but pretty lacking in the the front area but uh yeah now we'll check out the interior of the Cyber truck very simple very Tesla like but we'll jump in and so we've got our fandy Dandy squirkle right here as a steering wheel all the buttons are on the steering wheel no stocks at all of course we got a big massive screen like every other Tesla out there uh what's also really weird with this vehicle is that there's a huge Dash up here coupled with a baby rear view mirrror but of course you don't need that because youve got cameras all around no 360 view but you got cameras in the front the sides and the back but I got to say though seeing the Ford truck uh some of this interior stuff is a little bit more basic but still usable we got two wireless chargers down here with a big area down there for storage and then we've got a huge class roof as well and the back seat seems to fit people that are up to about 6' 6'2 uh comfortably for their Headroom and the one thing I know these other guys don't have is the the Easter egg for when Elon and the team threw that steel ball at the Tesla cyber truck and broke the windows and now we're going to check out the back seat so again super simple you do have a rear screen right here which I know the rivan has for sure again this top glass roof and uh pretty decent Headroom I'm uh not 6'5 but still got a good amount of space up here in the back and the rear screen is also touchcreen with all the different things that you can control with music uh heating seats and air conditioning and and what's really cool with this rear screen is it has Bluetooth so the people in the back can listen to their own things without disturbing the front people and in terms of the back uh the doors open 90° like I think most other trucks do as well and as well as the seats do fold up which I think a lot of trucks also do as well it's definitely smaller than the lightning we're going to see the lightning right now but actually being a big guy I actually fit pretty well in it but let's check out the lightning you really want to see what interior is supposed to look like so this is massive step right up get on in you've got the big 15-in screen here screen behind the dash as well but as you can see this is I mean I can barely even reach the door over there this is just a massive interior truck the one thing that coming from a Tesa guy that I didn't like is there are over 55 buttons in this truck so I got buttons for everything everything needs to be done has a button versus just being de do on the screen you can do a lot of stuff on the screen which is nice but this is the one thing that really gets me I do have to hit a power button to start the truck up uh but again that comes pretty standard this is nice though I can push this button lower the gear shift and then I can make a little table out of this so if I need to have lunch or have a work that's pretty cool there it also is very massive in here storage then you got two different levels of glove boxes which is really cool and very deep glove box but you've got that smaller one up there and then a larger one down here you've got storage underneath here you got door pocket storage all kinds of storage in here which is really great I have sunglass storage now this is one of my favorite things right here is be able to put my sunglass in there and lock them away um cup holders cup holders cup holders in the doors wireless charging here and if you go in the back you've got more Outlets down here but look how much room Dennis has back there it is just ridiculous and then talking about under bed storage under seat storage I should would say you've got tons of underseat storage in here so that seat goes up as well there's actually that seat actually even comes down so there's stores behind that seat as well so lots of room back here and this is standard on on the uh uh lightning versus being an option on Tesla now let's take a look at the rivan r1's interior now the rivan r1t interior I got to say I may be biest but I think it's the nicest interior it is a little smaller so if you're a pretty big person you might feel the that the rivan r1t is a little smaller so you can look at the seat patterns there it looks pretty luxurious and you can look at the dashboard area I mean this is just premium quality uh all around and I do love the two screens uh the Cyber Tru of course only has the one screen but you got the two screens in the rivan r1t you have the center storage right there and you got these cup holders that pop out like this so that's pretty nice one thing I'm embarrassed about is there's no glove box it's just flat right here but one thing we do have is storage under the seats so if you look at where my finger is right here you just clip that open and you could put sunglasses here or whatever you want and yeah you got these storage extendable storage areas right there and on the other side as well so we can look at the back right now let's see so yeah you have USBC ports right there you have the storage areas right there and actually we also have under bed storage here a little smaller because it's actually a compartment right here it's a compartment whereas the other trucks fold up and you have all the bed but actually this is kind of nice in a way because it's more hidden right so you could hide stuff in here if you want now let's talk about the beds of the trucks but before getting to the beds the gear tunnel so this is kind of related to the beds right cuz the storage and I actually use the gear tannel more than I use the bed cuz it's super easy to use you come up you put your groceries here and you slide them in so it's really simple and it opens from the other side as well this holds 250 lbs so you can sit on it stand on it whatever you want to do if you're of course under 250 lbs so we'll look over here at the bed so it's 4 and 1/2 ft long so it's actually the shortest of the three trucks it's it's the shortest of the three trucks so you get a lot more space with the lightning uh and especially with the Cyber truck for the bed but we do have this right here so you fit a full size spare tire down here so the Cyber truck for sure does not have this capability you could put the fulls size spare in the bed on the Cyber truck but not under the bed like the rivan and I'm not sure about the lightning so we'll see in a second so I'll close this right now and right here we got an air compressor so you can see that and right under the air compressor these are actually latches for a gear guard cable that you put in the latches here and then when you lock the truck those latches lock so it secures whatever you use the cable to wrap around so that's pretty cool thing right there and the hose for their compressor is actually in a compartment in the door of the gear tunnel on this side and right here we have two 120 volt outlets right here so that's one thing that the lightning and the Cyber truck beat the rivine out on is that they have 240 volt Outlets as well but this has only the 120 volt outlets now let's take a look at the lightning all right so definitely going to be bigger than the rivan this does have a fully powered tailgate opening and closing which is really nice you come in here you do have the 240 volt Outlet here but is not a Nea 50 uh 1450 it's just it need to need adapter you have the 110 120 volt Outlets here as well so lots of power in the bed area does come with this gr it's got a ruler little multi uh thing for the tailgate you have put your pens won't roll away and slide and that kind of stuff I did add the uh Linex inside and I did add the backflip TR fold uh tonel cover but it's great speaking of spare tire it does have a full sizee spare tire it is under under the truck like a traditional truck has uh it does light up as well you've got lights here lights here you also have a light from the top that'll come into the bed one cool thing about the uh lightning it does have what's called um full Zone power so you can have the back all lit up the front all lit up the sides all lit up or the entire truck just absolutely lit up it's really really cool this does have for nice for old guys like me nice built-in step as well with the handle so it makes it a lot easier to get in and out of the bed of your truck um and and then you also have a pass through window that is also automatic so it slides up and down um slides back and forth automatically so you can put longer uh materials through that if you need to a 5 1/2t bed versus the uh 4 and2 you said on the uh rivan not as big as a cyber truck but it is quite large it does have the the wheel well humps though so it does actually limit the storage a little bit in there but again me a 5 and 1/2t bed it it's it's a lot you also have a place to hook if you are going to use this bed you could put your your clamps here to lock down your your wood piece that you're going to cut or what have you and being that you have the 240 volt power you can have arc welders on there you can have a lot of kind of stuff so it's really great really really solid work truck and of course I feel like Tesla with everything they do is just a little bit more simple uh for all the different features so you're not going to see as many features as the other trucks but he got the soft drop tailgate no fancy things here with measurements but we do have a motorized tunel cover which we can open up with a click of a button and of course you probably seen other videos where the tonel cover can support up to 300 lb we've got two things that I've noticed that uh the Cyber truck has that the other trucks don't have uh in terms of size of it but we got a huge LED bars on the sides here the other trucks have led bars which just not as big we also don't have a fulls sizee spare at all nor do we have a place to put it unless it just rides on top of the bed cover but we've got a lot of hooks everywhere for if you want to tie down things we've got rails on the side if you want to add more accessories there we can't access the window through the center there but you can still see and we also have plugs on the side for 220 and 110 but the one thing that we have that for sure the other trucks don't have is our handy dandy Coke bottle opener or if you drink something else then so be it but in terms of size of the bed it's the largest as 6t not really saying too much but still it is the biggest at 6t length and we don't have wheel arches on the side to limit some of the space there but let us know what do you think do you think do you need a bigger bed than 5 and 1/2 or 4 and 1/2 depends on your use case I guess at the end of the day well correction the lightning actually does have a bottle opener in the back of the truck so let's see it here or there oh look at that learn something new today well since we're talking about cool things that each truck has down here we have a portable speaker look at that Bluetooth speaker right here and on the side of the door right there the driver door we have a flashlight all right guys thanks for watching this video we took a look at the fronts the interiors and the beds of these three electric trucks which are pretty much the only three electric trucks you could buy right now and some specs are better with the rivan some specs are better with the Cyber Tru and some specs are better with the Ford F 50 lightning but which one do Dennis and will think they'll drive let's see if you were gave me the option taking all three of these trucks and driving home today I'm taking the Cyber truck that's a hard question because all three trucks I see the benefit for each and everyone rivan adventurous outdoor this one I got to say wins hands down for being a work contractor truck and I get that and the interior is super nice and spacious but I got to say this one also checks a lot of boxes gets a lot lot of attention and is right for our current use case so I would say yes the Cyber truck is winning today as well and which one do you drive off in I got to say I'll take the rivan but the Cyber Beast which is the higher trim cyber truck I think is probably the best electric truck in the game but it is $133,000 more expensive than the base quad motor riview n you can get so it is a little pricey so you can follow me at F the pump on most social media Twitter is f the pump one stay you can follow
