think of himself more highly than you also think but the thing soberly according as god had dealt to every man the measure of faith for we for as we us we have many members in one body and all members have not the same office so we being many are one body in christ and everyone remembers one of another having then gives differing according to the grace that is given to us whether prophecy let us and welcome to of course you the lovely congregation i'd like to explain special welcome to all the teens in the house and to the guest speaker and friends welcome we're truly happy we're truly happy to have you worshiping with us today today is our teens convention and i hope that everyone's spirit will be edified by the ministries to be done by the teams and may the lord open your hearts to receive an outpouring of him thank you [Music] greetings and presentation of awards to be done by teen's director please welcome her she comes [Music] thank you guys good morning everyone do we have a praising host of the lord this morning hallelujah anybody in the house hallelujah nothing nobody has a praise all right okay well good morning welcome to our tease convention 2022 my name is tavia henry and i'm the assistant teens director and standing beside me is our teens director tene henry i pray you've been having a blessed service so far as we continue to allow the teenagers to take the lead it has definitely been an honor and a privilege to serve as assistant scenes director for this church here it's not a position that i take lightly nor do her and learning to balance school and my duties definitely has not been that hard because we know that only what he's done for christ lasts and special commendations to my sister i've watched her stay up like all hours of the night planning activities for teens ministry meetings and just trying to interact with all the teenagers and just being a good and godly guy to them so special accommodations do you see salovey and may the lord continue to guide you i'm grateful for the zoom platform it has allowed us to have our monthly teams ministry meetings we've had various guest speakers to talk on issues such as dating and how to share the good news and fasting and we had our national teens week two weeks ago and i know that our teens were blessed and enlightened by all the um all the services and actually two of our teenagers participated in the week's challenges they didn't place but we do thank them for their participation and those who wanted somebody to get to so we've been to the movies and skating with our teams and just gotten to know them individually and the different issues they've been facing in this period of their lives and actually this evening at 6 pm we'll be addressing some of those issues in our panel discussion entitled taught the things them where we've invited two young adults from eastwood park new testament as well as two of our own to sit on the panel it promises to be informative and interesting so please log on to the church's zoom platform at 6 00 pm okay thank you sis so um um so before i go into handing out some acknowledging some teenagers that we've been seeing growing from last from last um teens convention to know i'm just going to ask or youth or or youth director to just come here quickly so sister seaney shaunie macpherson she has been doing an amazing job she's she's definitely been allowing the lord to lead her and so in him leading her she is leading us well and so we just like to say thank you so much for doing so well and so this is just a small token to show our appreciation and so now we go to handy notes some presentation i mean some awards some certificates to our teenagers okay so we will be starting with the seasick and cape examination performances or we know that in brazen we they're just a spirit of excellence so our students have been doing very well and we thank god for that so our first awardee is nathan white um next we have abigail wilson oh we congratulate her in her absence uh we have kayla j ma solomon we congratulate her in her absence we have candice campbell we congratulate her in her absence and okay that's it so for the next category we have most involved so first up we have danny peters [Music] so we've all seen danny she's always participating in everything whether it be on zoom or in the church congratulations danny danny and just allow the lord to continue leading you guiding you and continue pursuing after christ next we have a most involved is raheem clark our very own technician so every morning you come into the sanctuary and we see all the things set up the mics everything working we thank you ray for your dedication and commitment to serving in the host of the lord the next category we have is ever present so we invite alia miller [Music] so every morning in church we see alia here with their family just continue coming to church because it is your duty and continue allowing the lord to guide you for the male we have nathan white again i know for most improved so first up we have rihanna dunbar rihanna so this is one of two and so we're also inviting brianna dunbar to come for most improved as well [Music] so congratulations to you both we've seen where you guys have improved and you're becoming more consistent in doing the things of christ and we acknowledge you next up we have josiah sharp so we congratulate him in his absence so the final category is most outstanding so first off we have abigail israel if you guys were here in the first service you would have seen our giver exhortation it was well done and anytime he's called on to do anything he's always he always gives zayas always we have the next most outstanding person is malkiel grant he also gave an exhortation this morning and he did very well stepped outside of his comfort zone and we acknowledge you for that so congratulations to all our awardees and if you didn't get any don't be discouraged just remember that the award the final award that we'll get is when we get to go to heaven so remember that keep that on your mind thank you thank you tania and tavia and portfolio responsibility for our young people and our teens lord you have been inspiring her you have been guiding her you have been strengthening her oh lord and you have been helping her to be impactful on the lives of our young people i want to thank you today great god for our youth leader and i thank you god for the enthusiasm with which she approaches her work i ask oh god that you will continue to strengthen the bars of her faith that she will continue to trust you because you're god and there is none like unto you i thank you great god for the teens leaders we pray for continuous inspiration and revelations for them oh god as they undertake this muhammad task for you we pray that you will help them to be visionaries and lord as they share the vision we pray that you will grant your children receptive hearts in the mighty name of jesus christ so lord we just want to thank you for every single individual who is actively engaged in youth ministry we pray that you will direct their path every passing moment and enable them o lord to be in the center of your will constantly we pray o god that you will help them to apply themselves oh god to the various call that you have placed on their lives and oh god almighty as they seek to execute we pray that the anointing of god will rest upon them in the name of jesus christ we ask oh god that you will strengthen the bars of their faith that they will continue to believe they will continue to trust you oh god and help them father that in all the ways they will acknowledge you because this is indeed the recipe for our success so we thank you once again for the blessings of being in teens convention and we pray that all our teens today will be lifted up before you they'll be anointed they will be inspired and they will bring much glory to your name lord a young man has been chosen to deliver your word today i pray right now lord that you will cover his thoughts under the blood of jesus christ i bind every negative flow right now and i pray that the inspiration of god will saturate his life in the name of jesus christ and when he takes his stance today to deliver we pray oh god that the holy spirit will empower him that the holy spirit will propel him oh god to declare in no uncertain terms what thus said the lord god almighty then lord today i want to thank you for every department and leader lord we would not be able to do as well as we are doing today had it not been for these dedicated and committed men and women and we pray oh god that you will continue to strengthen them that you will continue to uphold them with the power of your right hand and we pray oh lord that when that day comes and and they are weary that you will just give them the injection of your spirit lord that will allow them to run the race in the name of jesus christ of nazareth god almighty i want to give you very special thanks for the the team spirit that is now in our midst in our lives and is a part of hungry and thirsty for your lord and your word tells me that he that hunger and thirst for righteousness shall be filled i pray that lord god when we should have come to the end of today's service there will never be an empty vessel in this sanctuary oh mighty god we look to you and we trust you who is the author and the finisher of our faith today oh god i give you very special thanks for the inspiration and revelation as it relates to our first fruit giving i thank you o god for having spoken individually and collectively to our members and our friends as we obey you oh god in giving the best that we have to you i ask in the mighty and awesome name of jesus christ that the heavens will be opened to your children lord your word tells me that you are no man's better and so i pray god that as they give as they soul into your your work into the ministry i ask in the name of jesus that you will bless some of them 30-fold some 60 and some a hundred lord i read in your word where isaac sowed in the midst of drought and famine and raped a hundred-fold because he was obedient to your lord he was blessed tremendously of you and so i pray today that you will drive far from us the spirit of of disobedience and we pray that the spirit of obedience oh god will saturate our hearts and our lives god we are looking forward to that which you have in store and so as we worship you with our first fruit we ask in the name of jesus christ that you will help us to be like trees that are planted by the rivers of water that bring it forth its fruit in its season help oh god that whatsoever we do we will prosper i find every human conquer worm today i bind every human palmer worm in the name of jesus i bind every human caterpillar in the name of jesus and i pray that you will help us that they will have no dominion no power no authority over that which we have in the name of jesus christ i pray o great god that even in the very presence of our enemies you will prepare tables before us you will anoint our heads with oil oh god and allow our cops to run over to the glory and the honor of your majestic name lord we will be worshiping you with our tithes and offering in a short while and we are knowledgeable that all that we have we receive from you and so lord we pray that as we worship with our tithes today that we will do so honestly remove far from us the spirit of convictions and help us not to withhold from you oh lord that it is rightfully yours as we obey you in tiding we ask that you will prosper us according to your will i pray today for special inspiration in our offering in the giving of our offering and help us not to give the wither or the blind or the all but to give the best that we have to the king of glory so once again lord we thank you for today we thank you for your very presence that is in our midst at this moment and i pray that the glorious light of your countenance will shine upon us always to the glory and the honor of your majestic name he attends the lucy new testament church of god where he is pastored by the bishop robert williams he is currently a third year student at the bethel bible college of the caribbean jamaica where he pursues a bachelor's degree in theology and a minor in guidance and counselling he is passionate about preaching the gospel and is a student of the world his philosophy is embedded in the last clause of first corinthians 9 verse 16. woe is unto me if i preach not the gospel student pastor sivright has preached locally and internationally he has preached in crusades conventions revivals and the like he delights in declaring the undiluted gospel of jesus christ he is the founder and president of the kingdom boys club where he guides young men in becoming great kingdom workers and leaders he also serves on the national young men development program executive executive board in the new testament church of god he loves young people like himself and is only concerned about preaching and kings chapter seven we'll be reading verses three to eight while you're finding it in your bibles permit me to emphasize the fact that our national themes team for this year is we move we move and i celebrate that theme while i also celebrate your theme lit for christ my god living innovating and transforming and brothers and sisters as i share this word with you today that i think the lord and know the lord has laid on my heart i want to both consider the national theme and also use the lit acronym for my points as we share the word today second king seven three to eight could you stand for the reading of god's holy word teenagers i invite you to take out your bibles and follow me as i share the word it says and there were four leprous men at the entering of the gate and they said to one another why sit ye here until we die if we say we will enter into the city then a drought and famine is in the city and if we shall and we shall die there and if we sit here we will also die now therefore come let us go unto the house of this the host of the syrians if they save us alive we shall live but if they kill us we shall but die and they rose up in the twilight to go into the camp of the syrians and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of syria behold there was no man there for the lord had made the host of the syrians to hear a noise of chariots and noise of seated in the presence of god brothers and sisters as we consider the national theme we move i want to share with us today on the theme make a move make a move young people teenagers as we consider the acronym being lit i want us to know that a part of being lit in this 21st century is to continue to make a move it is to make progress despite what we are going through you see brothers and sisters the leprous men had a faith and made a fake move and triumphed in their effort you see teenagers i want to tell you today that despite how it may seem make a move come on despite how it may seem sorry make a move brothers and sisters a man was writing a love letter to the love of his life the name of the woman was betty and so he wrote in the letter this is what he says he said bishop rule my dearest betty i love you beyond words webster does not have in his dictionary the necessary vocabulary to explain the depth of my love for you thoughts of my of you dance around the portals of my mind you are my all-consuming passion he moved on in his letter to say so and ruptured am i about your regarding love that the pacific ocean would be like a pond if i had to swim in it he said i could do it as long as i knew that you were waiting for me on the other side of the shore the man said the heat of the sahara desert would never impede my progress towards you knowing that you would be the oasis that would refresh me when i arrived in the love letter he continues to say there would be no inconvenience i would not endure for you climbing mount everest would be like a ant healer if i saw you at the precipice all i am simply saying to you betty is that my love for you transcend time and space at the end of the letter he said signed by some and then he said i will see you on saturday if it doesn't rain brothers and sisters i'm sure you would agree with me that some was just full of words he knew how to put on a show of words because while he spoke about overcoming the pacific ocean while he spoke about overcoming the sahara desert a little rain would stop him from seeing his lover on saturday night what am i saying to you teenagers what am i saying to you young people it is easy to say something but it is a different thing to actually make a move but i come to preach a word to your church that if we are going to make a move young people if we are going to make progress it takes more than just saying it takes some amount of doing i want to say to pray the church that if we are going to make a move it demands action can i preach to somebody here i said if we are going to make a move we can't just talk about the move bishop but we gotta get ready to do some action i preached to the teenagers today it is time for us to make a move can somebody leave the teenagers just touch another teenager and say hey my friend it is time to make a move or somebody lift up your hands here and say i am about to make a move in the name of jesus christ somebody go ahead and give him pray make a move brothers and sisters i want us to understand that making a move demands intentional actions and so it is time for us to stop talking about the move it is a time now where god wants his teenagers to make the move make a move sister brothers and sisters what are the realities we must consider as we seek to make a move brothers and sisters my teenagers my young people if we are going to make a move with the first thing we need to consider is that there are times when we will seem limited by our condition we will seem limited by our conditions and we are spelling the word lit with the points so the first one is limited the bible says there were four leprous men reverend god sitting at the entering of the gate you see the text opens by introducing four individuals that are quite important in the story before us the text describes them as four leprous men just by the description my teenagers one can see that the tag of limitations is hanging over their edge the text allows us to know that these men had two major limitations the first limitation they had is that they were physically limited these men were not identified by their names they were identified by their conditions this means that they were insignificant this means there was they said to have leprosy which is a skin disease it such as brothers and sisters that these men were physically unceremonially unclean young people there are times when we find ourselves in a place where we feel as if we are limited because what we are going through the adults may not understand it our mothers or fathers may not understand it and so you face some limitations but i come to tell somebody that your limitations is not excuse for not making a move god is about to use you despite your limitations or somebody slip up your hands and say here i am lord despite my limitations despite my condition i want you to use me to use me for your glory lord i have a condition i have a limitation but use me lord use me lord they were physically limited but they were also geographically limited the bible spends quality time in acknowledging the position of these leprosmen notice that the position of these leprous men the bible says bishop that they were outside the gate what this suggests the understanding therefore is that these men stayed at the entrance because they were not welcome in the city the leprous condition made them outcasts and untouchables have you ever felt like that young people that because you're going through some things you feel less than holy you feel less than up to the standard but i want you to know church that god has a way of using limited people to do a great work god have a way of using those who nobody recognize to do a great work do i have anybody here today you are going to a condition you feel like an outcast but god sent me from lucy to tell you i'm about to use you despite your limitations or somebody lift up your answer and say use me lord i am limited i am cast down but use me lord for your glory then write me off i'm good for nothing but use me lord i don't seem like it but use me lord [Music] use me lord brothers and sisters the hebrew word here for entrance such as our denotes are opening up i want you to get that the word ancients in the hebrew speaks to our opening up and it is from the hebrew root which means to let loose but isn't it ironic brother god that these men were at a place of losing and at a place of freedom but they were in a bone condition oh lord i want to say that again they were at a place of freedom but they were in our bone conditions these men had limitations they were at the gate and of access but they were in agony my god therefore brothers and sisters therefore young people we see some of our friends in the text here who have limitations but can i tell you church that your limitation is not disqualification your limitations is that disqualification god is still gonna use your young people god is still gonna use you you're gonna sing on the prayer steam sailor you're gonna dance for jesus still you're gonna shout for him still because god wants to use you in your limited mind therefore you see according to the mosaic law in liberty 1344-46 it tells us that a leprous man is unclean the priest shall pronounce him utterly unclean his plague shall be in his head the bible says the leper clause should be rent and his head should be bald he shall put a covering on his lip and cry out unclean and clean the leper should cry out he must be defiled the bible says he must dwell alone and outside the camp must be his habitation look at the lifestyle of the labor bishop that sometimes these lepers can be identified with our young people sometimes they are sideshot sometimes they are set apart sometimes they don't feel too good but can i tell you church that charles persia says if you were to take out of the scriptures the stories that deal with the poor and the afflicted and the outcasts the bible would be a small book he said for the most part god tends to use those who have limitations who are despised i want to talk to you in church today your limitation your people it is not a barrier it is a blessing god is about to use you can i preach in this church today i feel like talking to you jacob was a cheater but god used him peter were on a temple but god used him jonah ran from god but god used him paul was a prosecutor but god used him gideon was insecure but god used him martha was a warrior but god used her thomas was a daughter but he was on life [Music] god specializes in using those who are limited those who are disregarded i want somebody to know that your limitation does not mean you have failed may i tell you that even in your condition god still deem you qualified to make a move jesus i wish i was stalking to some people here who is receiving the word of god i said god still deems you qualified to move you see our limitations as i said they are not disqualification your disregard young people is not doom god is about to use somebody that was sitting by the who thought this was a final destination our young you're about to push or somebody jump to your feet and just do something in the spirit come on young people just pushing the spirit we are making a move we are going forward all our church has a drop move give me praise give me praise [Music] brothers and sisters teenagers when we focus on the fact that these men were positioned outside of the gate one would think that it only represented rejection but for god it's redirection jesus jesus i said one would think that it only represents rejection but young people what looks like rejection is a strategic placement for you to make a move i want to talk to a teenager today you see the place that you are in nowhere that feel hopeless and stagnant it is not to limit you it is just preparing a platform for you to make a move perhaps brother gordon if these men were in the city they could not make a move i want to take my time here i said if these men were in the city they would never be in preparation to make a move you see i am here to declare to you that you being limited does that mean you are lame oh god you must put that on your status i say you've been limited bishop does that mean that you are lame which means even though i'm limited i have the ability to move oh god somebody help me here man i'll say your limitations it's not lameness don't have enough cxc young people get ready to make a move the degree you're pushing for it's not going so well get ready to make a move you're struggling with your self-esteem we are here to make a move life knock you down last year get ready to make a move you are going through your fears but god sent me to tell you you are about to make a mighty move somebody open your mouth and give god pray i'm moving on to my second point but when god is preparing you to make a move he has a way of separating you from the crowd oh lord god almighty a lot of people don't look on the text like that you know they said the men are outcasts they are leprous which is true but can i tell you sometime when you find yourself by your way when you find yourself without company it is god pulling you aside young people for you to make a brilliant move it is god taking you away from the crowd so that you can be the game changer it is god taking you away from the crowd so that you can make a difference come here my friend come here i saw abraham i can't stop preaching this when abraham took limitations to cause us to be stagnant oh lord god almighty but even through our valleys even when things don't looks alright even when we are limited if it's one foot may have may make a move if them chop off whatever hand me or make a move come on the church of god talk to me if they bar me out of it i'm still pressing forward because there was a lady in the bible they said you are ceremonially unclean you must stay by yourself in quarantine but the ladies say oh no i am limited but i need a healing the lady said if i just touch the hem of his garment then i will be made whole the bible says she pushed through [Music] it's time to push it's time to press despite your limitations break your limitations break out of your condition break out of your crisis and push ahead time to make a move you see my brothers and sisters as we spell the word lit not only as we move do we seem limited in our condition but also we must sound intentional about our choice we must sound intentional so we're limited but we are intentional come on church hear what the man says why sit we here until we die if we say we are going in the city the truth is there are we are dead if we sit here we're going to die but if we go where the syrians are if we go in the enemy's territory we may live i can't understand that in the text if we stay here we're gonna die if we go to all places of safety fear is truth but we may just live if we go in the enemy's territory brothers and sisters one must understand that there was a present drought throughout the city of samaria therefore you recognize that when the leper said let us make a move then they had the drought in mind and they said why are we sitting here you see brothers and sisters their mindset was perfect they knew that they would soon die from the famine if they stayed in the city and even if food became available they would be the last one to receive it because they are lepers these men were intentional and thoughtful about their move all around them jesus was death but they were still determined to move bishop everywhere we turn it's a pandemic but the church has to move oh god almighty everywhere we turn young people there are struggles but we have to move hear what the man says if we stay here we die if we go in this city we will die but if we go in the camp of syrians we may live or we might die notice this my teenagers that going backwards was sure death staying stagnant was sure that but making progress had the possibility of life so even despite where your turn it seems like you're still a goddess still make a move even if it seems like if you take one more step you are going to die you must make up in your mind i will not be confined by my condition i have intentional i am persuasive i will not die here oh lord god i refuse to die here or somebody look up your hands in church i refuse to die here i refuse to die in my conditions i refuse to die my limits i refuse to sit down pleading i am making a move i want dying depression i want to die in low self-esteem i will let the devil win i refuse to die here i shall not die believe i declare the words of the lord somebody shouted [Music] that's all i know i feel like traveling on my heavenly home is i feel like shuffling i'm about to make a move if they are going to kill me i'm still going to move if they're going to chop off my head mr somebody look at your neighbor say i'm still gonna move i'm moving in the pandemic i'm moving in depression i'm oh
