supposed to be it's gonna be a fun video today i tried to teach maddie a little bit of driving and donnie a while ago did not go well but she she can drive stick when i first met her she could not drive stick now she can drive steak after some lessons in the c7 and donny she's actually she's not bad at driving stick shifts so we'll uh we're gonna put her through the gauntlet today get her driving drifter do you know what yeah do you know what engine is in this a powerful one yeah i'll keep going what's specific yeah do you know what tires you're on yeah and then what kind of car is this yeah that's where i draw the blank nissan 240. you gotta know what you're driving i don't know i like donny i know that one corvette all right gear up i think i need to get my own car so i can actually fit in it like really yeah i'm blaming it on something else not my driving that's step one to drifting there's excuses i'm just kidding you gotta remember you're freaking drifting not doing a doughnut you're like yeah not cool yeah getting the throttle drive it into a drift all right ready okay so let's get going a left-hand turn then remember the wheel is going to want to run right because the car is going to fit like you're going to be turning a left-hand turn right the wheel like this well to drift you got to have the car going left and the wheel going right i didn't know you put it in neutral [Applause] i gotta get that right in earlier all right [Applause] okay all right i'm gonna drive maybe put your hands down for a second i'm gonna help do this all right all right all right give me [Applause] um there you go foreign okay i like the feeling you had it yeah but i but like you're like you're flinging the wheel back and forth so much i'm trying to figure out where is the happy medium with a gas and so it's really complicated because you have to use the throttle and the steering to keep it in drift like you can't just forget about the throttle and you can't just forget about the steering because like really once you're good though then you can just do one or the other like you can almost lock it in and just use the throttle to keep it going yeah but like all of a sudden you just start turning in one direction like you're gonna have to die i get nervous to do too much gas because then we fling into a circle but yeah but if you want to give it more gas you just have to be ready to turn more right because the more gas you give it the more it's going to kick the butt end around okay so more gas equals more drift so opposite because you're turning left yeah but you're more throttle more drift less throttle less drift so more throttle more steering less throttle less steering angle gotcha okay you got this i got it look hold on stop right there look the wheel you thought you had it right yeah you're not even right at all like you're barely right this thing can steer almost perpendicular but i'm yelling right you start turning it right you were you were drifting right there though nice job ready ready to go right what are you doing [Applause] oh no i'm showing you ripped like watch i'm gonna make it look like we're spinning out and then the car is gonna catch himself that's what i gotta get you to do so to correct the spin out is that what you do you gotta steer into it like if you're gonna spin out all the way to the left if you just put some more right steering it'll just keep going rather than spinning around remember throttle in steer it around the turn all you gotta do is one loop come on are you frustrated good use it make a yeah so uh rev it pop the clutch take your left foot right from the clutch to the brake and hold the brake and it'll kind of yeah and you just gotta keep down the throttle and then just get it doing a standing burn out for a second and then go that way car control 101. well start learning if you want to have that car control down [Applause] [Laughter] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh [Applause] hell yeah i love you heard she's on the limiter and i was like she was on a limiter and i gave her the bring it down slightly she brought it down perfect that was sick [Applause] that has got away
