Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
"Jesus hates metagamers" should be a t-shirt.
This episode was super fun. This and the dracula one are my favorites so far!
Despite the minor rule blunders, they made it look a lot more fun than anytime I've played the game.
Hey, did they play the last round incorrectly? I think you're supposed to pick three cards (one for the person, one for the location, one for the murder weapon), shuffle them and then reveal one at a time at random, which makes the whole part a lot more difficult.
It seems I've somehow played a much harder variant of this game. When I've played it, the vision cards can only be seen by the psychic they're given to and they have to describe the cards to the other players.
Loved it. I think this kind of games works very well with the humor of Wil and his friends. I understand that some of you are disappointed with the choice of games this season, but I think Mysterium was perfectly valid.
Love Mysterium. Wil's antics were kinda over the top. But other than that, this really seemed to capture the feel of playing Mysterium. Especially when the ghost gives a clue that is OBVIOUSLY one thing, but then the psychic sees that the clue is OBVIOUSLY something entirely different.
Now I wanna go play again when I get home.
Why the hell aren't the guests in the title? When I see "TableTop" I KNOW Wil's going to be in it. Hell, I would stop putting his name in it at all, we all know he's the host of TableTop and I think half the people here wish he wasn't - it's like saying "Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay" or whatever.
David, Laura and Shannon are much more interesting, and are people who I would watch the video for. They should be in the title.
Great game, but /u/wil was really trying too hard to be the cool non-believer guy. We don't need to hear him tell us over and over the whole video that he totally doesn't believe in ghosts. Of course they're not real - why was he so proud of his acknowledgement of that? His belief is completely irrelevant to the enjoyment and playing of the game. It's odd that he did it for this episode, but he didn't spend any time talking about (for example) how magic isn't real when he played RPGs:
"Before we play FATE CORE today, I have a message for all my fans. Magic isn't real. Cultists can't really summon demons, plants can't really be sentient. I'm sorry, but it just doesn't exist - it's all a cheap ploy for gaming companies to sell cheap products to people who play in their parents' basements. But today, I'll meet you halfway, and just for this one time, pretend that they do exist. But they don't. Just sayin."
I mean, for crying out loud, he talks at the start of that episode about how he loves stepping outside the real world! Why does he feel the need to be so smug and superior in this episode? It made a potentially-great episode absolutely shitty.
