Straight Talk: Breaking the Bro Code

- [Steve] So fellas here's the question. Is there ever a time when it's okay to break the bro code? (audience laughs) And a hush fell over Jerusalem (Tank laughs) Because ... bruh - [Tank] Listen - [Steve] They can't even. Y'all can't even say nothin. - Did you see what happened to all three of us? We were like ... - [Steve] Dude just went ah-ha. - [Tank] The Bro Code if where we're within. The code of the situation. Has to be fundamentally sound. Right? To where both parties don't come out damaged. - Yeah - [Tank] You see what I'm saying. - Here's my thing. I totally agree with you. I don't know if you would consider it breaking the code. But ... you have your boys back. At the same time if your boy is. screwing up that bad. It's also apart of the code. That you go to him, and step to him and go. Check yourself. - [Steve] Right. (audience applause) - I'm not gonna be I'm not gonna be your fall guy. - [Steve] Right. - Check yourself - [Tank] I can't be your fall guy. If you are falling into my house. - Exactly. (audience laughs) - [Tank] I can't. You know what I'm saying? You gotta keep that spillage on the outside. We can manage it out there. - [Steve] Right. We can't start no fires at my house. - But I think it's also like ... that constitutes the friendship. That you have with your "dog". And then the Bro Code (audience laughs) Naw but I am saying the Bro Code doesn't come. Like Hi, Nice to meet you. You're a cool guy. And I don't really know you but we already have it. That's not like that. - [Steve] Yeah. Naw, That aint it. - Well you have to be tight to begin with. Like you were saying. You gotta be good friends. I was gonna say I had an example. To where I had a very good friend of mine. That went through a period of time. Where I woke up one morning and had a text from him. Late at night. Yo I'm having drinks with you. Just want to let you know I'm out having drinks with you. (audience laughs) So I'm looking at him. Thinking maybe he's drunk and he was drunk texting me. Or whatever. It happened again the next week. It happened again. Just to let you know I'm out with you. - [Steve] Yeah. - That's why I said you had. I had to check him. I'm like look. I don't know what you're doin. I don't wanna know what you're doin. You're my boy but I don't want get a call. From your significant other saying ... So where did you guys go after you had drinks? Because then you put me in the middle of it. - [Steve] Right. - Now if I'm in that situation. Do I keep the Bro Code? Do I break the Bro Code? Because now I'm in the situation. So I think part of it is. Don't. First off don't be stupid. Don't put yourself in that situation. But don't put your boys in that situation either. (audience applause) - [Steve] Yeah. - See you cannot. (audience applause) - It cannot. We all agree with this. This can't come into my house. Let me ask you this. Is it ever okay to tell your guy friend. That his girl is cheating? This is what y'all. This is what ... cause women always tell. - My thing I'm not down with cheating. It's like look. One way I don't care if you're a woman doing it. Or a man doing it. You ... don't I've been through it. We've all been through it. Now, I've done dumb stuff. I've come through the fire. It's like you get to a certain point in your life. Where you gotta quit being one of the boys. You gotta be a man. - [Steve] Yeah (audience applause) - [Steve] Yeah, Yeah. - [Tank] I think that ... I think that you have to be careful. You know. When approaching your guy and telling him about his woman. - Good point - I feel like maybe there would be a moment. Where I would be like Yo, You know what. Let me deal with my own stuff Like why are you guys foreseeing for me? That this isn't going to work? So there's that. If you show him somebodies video of your girl cheating. Like thanks bro, you know let's go have fun. You know, cause this relationship is over right here. I feel like that's why you are my friend. That's why you have my back. If she's cheating on me I would want someone to tell me. You know? - [Steve] Its like this. If I catch a girl cheating on my guy. That's a really good guy. A decent dude. I gotta look at this differently. If the dude is out there cheating. And she's out there cheating. Then they just two messy people. And they got what's coming.
